Sam didn't care how cold it was outside with all the snow, considering how heartbroken she was seeing Luna kiss and make out with someone else like that. Was she hallucinating that? Or was it all too real for her eyes?
"I'm such an idiot." Sam said to herself ehuke sobbing. "How can she do this to me? I thought we had something special?"
Yes, they most certainly did have it well together as a couple. But, their time together might come to an end after ehat Sam has just witnessed. Hurt, betrayal, and anger were rushing in her own heart. "Luna, why?" she said to herself. A dark cloud had formed over Sam as she was feeling sad and confused.
"What did i do to deserve this? Did i do something to hurt her?" Sam continued wondering in her sorrow.
She got off the cold bench and looked at the frozen lake and at some trees.
Without warning, Sam got on her knees and erupted a loud scream at the top of her lungs in rage, screaming at the gray, clouded sky. A sudden rush of lightning bolts appeared in the sky like there was a thunderstorm coming.
The lightning was shiny and blue, mostly flashing around Sam, or the clouds on top of her position. It caused many geese, ducks, and loons to fly off startled, scared witless
Sounds of thunder boomed around the whole place liie a small earthquake, and their was a brief blackout all over the city, leaving everyone in town confused.
Luckily, the lightning only lasted for five seconds and all the bolts were gone as Sam kicked snow off the ground out of oure rage. So much anger was building up inside of her, towards Luna, and her eyes were glowing light blue.
Right now, she just felt like zapping her girlfriend to oblivion after kissing someone else behind her back.
Back at the Loud house, everyone inside was very confused from the brief blackout that Sam unintentionally caused through thr city. "What was that?" asked Lana
"It's my fault." Luna said with guilt. "I know an abnormal strike of lightning when I see it. Now I wish I can ride the lightning do I can feel her pain." She looked out the window and saw the dark cloud over the park.
"what is that?" said Lori
"It's Sam, dudes." Luna replied
"Sam?" Lynn asked
"I think she's mad at us for making out." Mason pointed. "wouldn't blame her though." he had a look of guilt again. "I don't know if we should give her some time alone or if we should go talk to her."
through the window, the cloud over the park began to dim and shrink in a slow pace. "I think she's calmed down a little." said Lola
"Breaking news, a very small thunderstorm has left many scientists baffled." said the TV.
"If she creates a storm cloud of pure anger that spreads all over town," said Lincoln, "then we can talk to her."
"Uh, i think you would literally have to if that happens." said Lori.
"Good thing the odds of being electrocuted by a lightning bolt are as equal to the chances of winning the lottery." Lisa pointed. "... depending on how much lightning there is."
"Well, you can say that Luna is actually given the cold shoulder now." Luan joked. "Get it?"
"Luan, now's hardly the time." said Lucy. "This is a very serious situation."
"I hope Sam will be ok." Leni said.
"Heh, i'm with you there, Leni." said Luna. "I just want to show her how sorry I am."
"Well, remember the song, Luna." Lincoln reminded. "Just sing her that. It should sound sincere enough."
"Oh. that's right." Luna remembered. "I'm just so depressed that i forgot about it."
"Well why would you and Mason just kiss like that?" said Lana
"We don't know." said Mason. "It just... happened. "But the cloud's gone. Maybe we should give her some more time."
"Good idea."
Luna just sat there on the couch for at least three hours, and couldn't get her mind off of the girl she had hurt. It was a whole new level of hurt for them both. Meanwhile, the other sisters and the parents looked worried for Luna.
Of course, being parents: Lynn Sr and Rita were also disappointed with how Luna just kissed someone even though she already had a girlfriend. As a matter of fact, they both went up to Luna, and Rita began the scolding by saying: "Luna, me and your father want to know how disappointed we are of you."
"I know." said the rocker girl.
"You know that it's cheating on someone you love? It's like... an ultimate act of betrayal."
Those words just made Luna even more guilty than ever and bowed her head in shame. "I know. Grr, I feel like such a bonehead!"
"Well, you should." said Lynn Sr. "That kind of trust is a sacred one."
"I know that, pops. But I can make things right. I promise you."
"We know you can."
"And if it doesn't work, just give her some time alone." Rita said. "Or... you should do what other couples do."
"What's that?" asked Luna
"see other people for a while or take a break."
"See new people?" Luna said. "No, no, no, there is only one love for me: and that is Sam."
"Well, my cousin Alphonse has parents that used to see new people all the time." Mason said. "I mean I'm just suggesting, that's, all."
"Thanks, Mason." said Luna, "but I wanna try to make things right with Sam first, in case it doesn't work. Besides, I think I got the apology song for her written down."
"That's good." said Rita with her motherly smile.
Young Sam was sighing sadly as she felt betrayed once more. Yes, this kind of "betrayal" is on of the worst kinds of betrayals, even if it was completely unintentional, and if Luna never meant to hurt her at all, which she did. "Take it on the run, baby." Sam sang to the sky. "If that's the way you want it baby. Then I don't want you around. I don't believe it, not for a minute. You're under the gun, so you take it on the run." She kept on singing that classic song over and over again to express her hurt. Little did she know that Luna was already on her way to try to make things right with her. Over in the far distance (with Sam not looking), there was Luna coming over to greet Sam and make the most sincere apology ever.
She was alone and no one else was with her, and she walked over to her casually with a sad look on her pale blue face. "Sam?" she called out. Sam perked her head up like a fox startled by something, and looked over to where Luna was coming from. She smiled at first, but then pouted and slightly looked away. When Luna reached her at last, she sat next to her.
"Hi." Sam said
"Hi." Luna said back to her. "Look, Sam. I know there is no excuse for me being a bonehead. I know you might never forgive me for this, but I just want you to know how sorry I am, in the most sincere way, dude."
Sam didn't say anything at first, but, at last; she replied: "OK. I guess I am ready to hear it."
"Well, I brought Mason along to help me out with a song. He's gonna play guitar to help me out."
"As long as you two don't decide to just kiss anymore, I'll be willing to hear it." Sam rolled her eyes. Those words made Luna frown and sigh in more guilt.
"I know words can't tell you how sorry I am, but I brought Mason, because this involves him too." Luna explained.
"Right."
At last, Mason came with his guitar, and in his casual civilian clothing this time, and he had his fire guitar with him. "Desole if I am late. I'm ready. Sam, here is a song to show how gravely sorry we are for what we did."
Once again, Sam was quiet, and didn't say anything, but had her arms clenched around her elbows.
Moments Before the Storm by Poets of the Fall plays
The song sounded very beautiful and harmonious in the tune, and it was like Luna, and Sam got transported into a cloudy sky together, floating like they were flying. "I will close my eyes to see your face again." Luna sang. "Let the love i feel rebuild my faith through pain, I remain." Sam was stunned by these kind of powerful lyrics being sung to her from Luna, and she continued listening as she felt Luna gently clasped her hands. The clouds began to rumble thunder and flash some lightning in their fantasy.
They slowly began swirling around in the cloudy sky whirlygig. A rather slow-moving whirlygig. Sam was getting more and touched as Luna was singing further and further in the lyrics for her. Mason was more than happy to play the guitar solo that sounded so tender and touching int he feels. As the song played on, Sam began to join Luna in the singing and it became a duet between them.
"And it fights. To be right." they both sang
When the song finished, a heavy rainstorm hit them both in their fantasy, but it was a good thing, because they didn't get wet. They snapped themselves back into reality as the song concluded, and Mason smiled to see them both smile.
"So, what do you think, Sam?" said Luna. "Are we cool?"
The lightning girl made a small smile, but then had a look of doubt after. "Well..." she said. "I think we are cool."
This gave Luna a hopeful smile.
"But..."
Then the ice girl frowned, "But what?"
"I don't know if we're officially a couple again. But... this is a stretch. I mean, maybe we should just start over again a little."
Luna didn't really like the sound of that, but, this meant that their relationship will go back on track in due time. Sam wanted them to be back together, but she also wanted to heal on the hurt, which will completely happen in due time. For now, they should just try to take it easy and start things again from scratch.
