Sue and all her henchmen were taken away by the police and Sue was likely to get a double sentence for all she did to Albert, Myrtle, Nana Gail, and all the other senior citizens in the retirement home. Lincoln and Luna's grandfather was going to be alright, for he was a tough old man and still got it in him to survive.
Meanwhile, Lincoln, Luna, and company couldn't believe that Jenny was a superhero all this time.
Perhaps she was finding the perfect time to tell them about her powers of super speed, and it looked like now was it after taking care of Sue.
They all sat in the Loud residents, at the dinner table to talk. It was safe for Mason, Jesse, and now Jenny to take off their masks.
"So, Jenny," Lincoln began the conversation, "How did you get those powers?"
smiling, Jenny said: "It all started before me and my family moved here to Royal Woods." she clasped her hands on the dining room table before explaining: "A week before that, i was on a field trip to Portland's space base, and they let us try out the motion test."
The others were getting more intrigued by this backstory. "Right, right." said Luna.
"So i was the first, and the machine malfunctioned and it was going faster than it could handle, and it caused some mutation in me." Jenny continued. "They managed to stop the machine, but i was throwing up for a few hours."
"Ugh." Mason had a look of disgust. "That wouldn't surprise me. It sounds worse than a whirlygig."
"It was. It really was. But the good side was: i got the powers of superspeed. Thus: Lightspeed was born."
"How did you get the yellow super suit?" asked Jesse
"I had to lie to my grandma that i was going to use it for a cosplay or a Halloween party." Jenny stated
"That's clever." said Lincoln. "Very clever."
"Thanks." Jenny laughed. "So before that, i needed some air and saw a a baby bird aboit to hit the ground from it's nest in a tree. I ran to save him. Before i knew it, i was running faster than i would normally run. After I saved it, I ran again to see if I was dreaming or not. Obviously I wasn't. So I would practice it around an empty track stadium when no one was looking so they don't think I'm a freak."
"Well, this isn't Harry Potter you know." said Luna.
Jenny laughed and said: "I know, but government might have taken me away and give me some tests. The last thing I was is to be used by the government."
"Very fair point." said Lincoln. "And try to leep your friends and family safe from the bad guys you might make one day."
"Bingo!" Jenny. "I waited to become here when i moved here and i wanted to surprise you all. I was thinking i would do it in Maine first, but i realized that... maybe since i have superfast speed, i can probably run all the way back there in a minute or two."
"Makes sense." said Luna. "But sounds like you need a little more training."
"Yeah. Before i moved here, i took Tai Kwan Do for six years." Jenny pointed.
"Always best to practice using your powers, dear." said Snowball. "Practice makes perfect. That's what you humans would usually say."
"Where can we practice without people seeing you, dude?" asked Luna. "Since you wanna keep your identity a secret and all."
"We can try Lisa's training room." said Lincoln. "But we don't have a track thay can help with that."
"Never say never, Lincoln." Lisa sang, coming into the room. "A true genius like myself, never reveals most of her secrets. But, in your cases," she moved her pointer at the company, "I can certainly make an exception."
"You have more in that training room?" said Sam in disbelief
"Absolutely, Samantha. You will never know when an inspiration or an aspiring idea will strike that noggin."
They all followed her in the bunker, and she pushed the elevator button to lift them all down with the circular platform below them. The training room was the same as before, but Lisa went down one more floor below sea level. It looked like a training room, but larger and having a large track area with hurdles and other things to dodge or jump over in a race.
"Whoa, when did this get here?" asked Yakov.
"While you guys were in Paris." Lisa pointed. "This room has an obstacle course and running courses for you, Jenny. But can you handle it?"
"I took down Sue and her goons by myself." the girl boasted, "I'll be fine. And i have a scar on my knee in a unicycle accident. It was not fun."
"Wait, wait, wait." said Mason. "A bicycle us one thing, but a unicycle?"
"Long story." said Jenny. "but my grandpa was in a circus."
"And there are settings for if you want to intensify the durability or decrease it whils in the obstacle course."
"Awesome!" said Jenny. "That's perfect." without hesitation, she rushed to the obstacle course and flashes of yellow were seen by everyone.
"She's just making me dizzy just watching this happen. "I hope she doesn't run into a wall."
"This is perfect!" said Luna. "A new member of the team.
"Yeah! and i think i made a new friend after all." Lincoln said. Yes, he loved her even more now that she is a superhero, and for that: he wouldn't have to come up with excuses or miss future dates with her at all. Now, he can be with her all the time."
Of course, Lincoln was patient and still decided to take it slow and steady with this relationship. He couldn't wait to fight crime with her in the field together. The supervillains or other bad guys might think twice before committing evil and mayhem in the city.
