The food was so yummy at Gus's pizza place, and Lincoln was having a nice time with Jenny, who was smiling and having a good time with him in return. In between them was a large Pepperoni pizza for them to enjoy, and three slices were already gone. Lincoln realized that he was probably getting somewhere with Jenny more and more the more they were spending time together, probably even close to a date right now. Alas, it was still much too early for him to say for sure, but deep down; he probably knew that he would get somewhere with jenny one of these days. For now, he just needed to take it slow and nice between him and her. It was probably not a good idea to just go up and kiss her in the cheek. Although Jenny wouldn't give him a black eye like Ronnie Anne did months ago.
"You were right, Lincoln." said Jenny, eating another slice. "They have really good pizza here."
"Didn't I tell you, Jenny?" Lincoln smiled at her and took a sip of his root beer, then his hot chocolate to keep himself from getting cold, because today was icier than normal. The forecast even said that there was going to be a blizzard on the way, and most people hoped that it won't be so bad to cause a power outage or make everyone snowed in. One of the many people that didn't really have a problem with it was Luna, since she is an ice-powered superhero. Now the cold can never hurt her, or make her suffer hypothermia. "I guess it's too cold for dessert right now."
"If you mean like ice cream or milkshakes," said Jenny before taking a sip of her chocolate, "Then yeah, it probably is. I think this is all the dessert we need," she pointed at her cocoa.
"Yeah, I guess it is." Lincoln took another sip of his own. "I'm impressed that you survive all of the rough-housing that your brothers do to you."
Jenny laughed. "Not as impressed as you surviving ten sisters for so long."
"admittedly, I had a dream where I wish I had ten brothers instead of sisters." he looked at the ceiling. "At first, it seemed fun being one of the boys. But, I learned that would probably be a bigger nightmare than having ten sisters. believe me. My sisters are so much nicer to me and they are nothing like what my brothers would be like. My dream brothers anyway. Except for Lynn, but she is who she is, and I have to accept that."
"Well... maybe they would be nicer to you if you were a girl?" Jenny asked curiously. "You ever thought of that if you had brothers?"
Lincoln remembered that in his little nightmare, but he didn't want to talk about it, for it was embarrassing and said: "Nope, not really. It would probably be like how you and your brothers are. Oh! No offense." he looked like he regretted saying the first part he said. However, the response was surprising to him from her, and it was a small, cute laugh, and it made him so relieved that he didn't offend her at all.
"No, it's ok, Lincoln." Jenny said. "It probably would be like that."
"Although it could be a different scenario. Every sibling in every family is different."
"Very, very true, Lincoln." Jenny pointed. "Maybe they would be nicer to you if you were a girl, but who knows?" she took yet another sip of her cocoa. "But my brothers have always been there to support me, even though we've had our differences."
"That's just sibling relationships, I'm afraid."
Jenny laughed some more, and said: "Lincoln, I swear; you are one of the funniest guys I've ever met."
"Thanks. i get it from my sister Luan probably."
"You said she's terrible on April Fool's day, right?"
"Yes! When it turns to April Fool's, stay out of her way, Jenny. Anywhere where Luan is not in the same building is better than than the house." He pulled out his phone to show him some recent pictures of last year's April Fool's day. One of them was him and almost his entire family (except for Luan of course) covered in gum. It made her really surprised.
"Jeez." Jenny looked surprised "What happened?"
"Luan put a large gum bomb in the house and, you know the rest."
"Maybe since Luna a superhero, she can put a stop to her pranking."
"Well, she's family, we can't just lock her up in juvie or prison for causing these pranks. What kind of family would we be if we just threw her in the state pen."
"I don't know about state pen." Jenny admitted. "That's more for serial killers and terrorists to be in, like the bad guys you and your fellow supers fight against every day."
"That's true." They continued eating their scrumptious pizza an their taste buds were enjoying every bit of this. They finished their pizza and they felt full eating it, and they patted their bellies in happiness. Gus came out of the backroom and asked: "Did you kids have a good lunch?"
"We did, Gus. Thanks." Lincoln said.
"You want some more hot chocolate?"
"Sure, that would be nice." Jenny replied. Gus happily gave them both their simple request, and refilled their hot chocolate with more little marshmallows in them. As soon as they were all finished, Lincoln was the one who paid off the tab since he knows this place better than most people.
A good ole fifteen dollars was enough to pay off this lunch for him and her, and they soon began playing the dance game in the arcade section, having fun ajd dancing away. "You know," said Lincoln. "I think your dad doesn't like me very much."
"Oh, that's silly." said Jenny. "It's just dad being dad. He'll warm up to you. It just takes some time."
"He sounded a little menacing."
"Don't worry about it. He has a habit of scaring people sometimes to make them listen to him." Jenny pointed
As soon as they were done playing the dance game, they played Zombie Crusher 3 with fake guns and there was a sudden blast heard from outside the arcade. They stopped playing and looked behind them. "What the heck was that?" Lincoln exclaimed.
"I have no idea." Jenny replied.
They headed outside and Gus followed behind them. All of a sudden, a camero car colored orange soared above the three, and crashed hard into a tree, making it explode.
"Whoa! I gotta protect my place!" Gus exclaimed before heading back inside his own pub.
A sound of a supersonic scream was heard and another car was flung with a family of two kids. It turned out to the the McCauley family and their vehicle was upside down."We gotta help them!" Lincoln pointed before he and Jenny rushed to the family's aid. It took a lot of strength, but they finally got them out of the now broken car.
"Lincoln! thank goodness you saved us." said Mr McCauley.
"Mr M, what happened here?"
"We were just coming home from our ski trip when this freaky man blasted our car here after stepping in front of us." said Mr. McCauley
"And the man was wearing really freaky makeup like a scary clown or something from Slipknot or Hollywood Undead." Mrs McCauley added.
"Makeup?" said Lincoln. "Wait a minute, that's-"
"Me." said a man's voice. To Lincoln's horror, it was Screamo. He recognized that scary makeup anywhere. "Did ya miss me, Lincoln?"
He remembered that he was wearing his Ace Savvy uniform when meeting him for the first time, and lied to him by saying: "I don't believe we haven't met before, sir."
"Oh please." Screamo was obviously not buying his charade. "Don't play me for an idiot. I know you're Ace Savvy. I know a face when I see it."
"OK, fine." said Lincoln. "You got me. what do you want from me?"
Screamo picked him up by the back of the boy's jacket so he can make better eye contact with him. "isn't it obvious, kid? Revenge!"
"Jenny get out of here!" Lincoln called. "you too, guys!" he addressed the McCauley family.
"You heard him, folks." said Screamo. "Get out of here! now! before someone gets hurt."
The family did just that in a rush but Jenny was hesitant, but realized that Lincoln winked at her when Screamo wasn't looking, making her realize he had an idea.
Jenny was running in a slow kind of run so she wouldn't give away her powers and when Screamo wasn't looking, she used her super speed to warn the others about what's going on.
"Is it mostly my sister you want?" Lincoln asked him.
"Oh no. It wouldn't really be fair." the villain replied. "You all played your parts so, I have to kill all of you. So tell me, Lincoln, where are Luna, Color Fire, Meteor, Electrifier and Steel Soldier, huh?"
"No idea." Lincoln lied.
"Don't be stupid with me, punk. I know how close you are with your sister. Talk!" he was holding jacket close to his face and placed his other hand on Lincoln's throat. "Or I'll kill you right here."
"I think not, turd!" said Luna's voice
A yellow force tackled Screamo and it made him go of Lincoln.
"Baby bro! are you ok?" she rushed to his aid.
"I'm fine. I'm not hurt. The other heroes were there behind her and now Jenny as well, in her yellow outfit.
As Screamo got back up, he exclaimed: "Oh no, not another hero."
