It looked like Screamo was unconscious and it was just then the police arrived to take him into custody, and Chief Duncan took his sunglasses off his eyes to take a closer look at the freaky supervillain. "They always return to the scene of the crime." he noted. He looked at the triumphant heroes and said: "You all did another great job."
"All in the days' work, Chief." said Lincoln
"My name is is Duncan, little lady." he said to Lightspeed "leader of the Royal Woods Police department."
"Nice to meet you. Call me Lightspeed." they both shook hands with one another.
"Be careful with him." said Luna. "If he wakes up-"
"Don't you worry." said Duncan. "Officer Smith, get something to keep this freak's mouth shut in case he wakes up."
"Yes chief." said the officer next to him. He then pulled out a line of duct tape from behind him and placed it over Screamo's mouth so he wouldn't be able to scream out of his arrest.
"Good thinking, dad." said Jesse.
"So Jess," said Duncan. "Your mother was wondering what you would like for dinner tonight."
"Meatloaf sounds good."
"OK son." said Duncan. "Just look at ya. I know i've said this many times before, but i'm so proud of you for fighting crime like i am."
Jesse smiled and said: "thanks dad."
"Sure you're not really a police officer, but you're xoing our job, keeping this city safe from violent criminals."
"Yeah. I know. It's a shame i gotta keep my identity a secret from most people." Jesse admitted.
"Uh-huh. Trying to keep your loved ones safe and all." the chief admitted. "And don't y'all worry. We'll put this guy in a more secure place than the last one he was put in."
"Like a state pen?" asked Mason
"Exactly like that. I honestly wish that I can out him in the Louisiana state pen. Over there, life means life."
"But that's more for the most dangerous criminals." said Mason.
"Yeah, ones that committed the most evil, unspeakable crimes." Sam added.
"Besides, he didn't really kill anyone." said Lincoln
"Maybe, but he has superpowers and that can mean he will be a big threat to society." Duncan pointed. "And he's just one supervillain that exists."
"Leave that to us." said Luna. "We're superheroes and we'll take care of them for you chief, even if they overpower you."
Letting out a small, humble laugh, Duncan proudly said: "Right. I'll always count on you guys when needed if we ever get outnumbered or outclassed." he looked at Jesse again. "So you sure you want meatloaf?"
"Yep."
"Good because we're gonna have some corn tonight too."
"Nice!" Jesse said
Scrramo was then put in handcuffs as he was dragged and thrown into a police car to be taken to a state. "Thank you guys so much again. Just stay warm out here."
"I don't think that will be a problem for me, sir."
"Right. It's a perfect weather for you, Luna." Duncan smiled. "Alright boys, time to pack it up. See you when I get home, Jesse."
"Bye dad. Be careful out there."
"Same with you son." In a more serious face, Duncan added "please. I really want you to be careful when fighting crime. Anything can happen."
"Don't worry dad. I'll be just fine." Jesse reminded. "And I got my pistol as a backup plan if needed." he pulled outnjis manhurin revolver to prove his point. "I've been practicing it lately."
"I know, and I'm so proud of you... just try not to shot your eye out."
"Dad..." Jesse groaned.
"Sorry. Just trying to be a good father. Remember what happened to your uncle Danny?"
"Come on. I'm smarter than him. I won't get myself an eyepatch like he has."
"I'm sorry son. Just looking out for you."
"I know dad. See you at dinner."
"Bye."
As the police posse drove off, Mason went up to him and said: "I think it's tres cool you have a dad like that."
"Not as cool as your dad, Mason." said Jesse. "He's a smart scientist that would make a perfect partnership with Lisa if he has the time."
"Why didn't i think of that?" said Mason.
In the house, Lincokn was polishing his Chatellerault and cleaning it. Yes, he was really liking this French machine gun given to him by Macron.
He was looking at his laptop and noticed someone wanted to request a video chat with him.
He recognized the person as Ronnie Anne. He smiled and turned it on. "Hi Ronnie Anne!" he greeted her
"Hey Lincoln." his friend greeted. "How are you? i haven't talked to you in a while."
"I know!"
"So how was your trip to France?"
"It was so much fun. You should have seen it, Ronnie Anne. It was beautiful and so many things to see over there."
"Cool."
"Oh. and i got this cool gun from the French president."
"What? No way." Ronnie Anne sounded surprised.
"Way." he showed her the French LMG and she was quite impressed.
"Wow. How many rounds can it have?"
"Originally it has twenty-five rounds, but i have extended mags for it to make it seventy-five rounds."
"Nice. So i heard you're Ace Savvy now."
"Uh-huh. I'm still learning the ropes a little bit, but i'm getting the hang of this superhero stuff."
"What else is going on?"
"There's a beautiful girl that's a new neighbor named Jenny and she is so amazing. It's like dhe's a girl version of me. She likes video games and comics like i do."
"Whoa whoa whoa. A new girlfriend?" Ronnie Anne frowned.
"Well, not girlfriend. We just met and i have to take it slow before something like that happens."
"Oh." Ronnie Anne frowned, not looking too happy.
"You ok?"
"Oh! yeah. I'm just bummed you guys aren't a couple yet." Ronnie stated
"Yeah. But we'll get there. I know it."
It was silent but Ronnie said: "Well, I should be going. I have to have Grandma with some stuff."
"Ok. Tell her I said hi."
"Will do." Lincoln closed the laptop and on the other side, Ronnie Anne looked bummed and said with a broken heart inside of her. With Lincoln, he was still polishing his gun, and put it away in his case for when he was going to use it next time. He heard a knock on the door, and it revealed to be Jenny. "Hey Jenny, what's up?"
"Just wanted to say how well you fought Screamo like that." said she.
"Thanks, but you did most of it. I mean, you should have seen how you were punching him to and fro like a punching bag." Lincoln said. "and... I'm sorry if Screamo ruined our fun together."
"It didn't ruin our fun." said Jenny. "It's fun to beat up the bad guys, you know?"
Making a small laugh, Lincoln admitted. "Yeah, it was fun." he pulled out a bottle of cola and said: "Did you have fun at the arcade at least? I told you they make pretty good pizza... and ice cream too." he then took a sip of his drink.
"Yeah, I did!" said Jenny. "That pizza was good." she patted her belly happily. "Oh, and I brought some cookies my mom made. They're lemon."
"Ooh! I love lemon cookies. Thank you." he picked up one cookie and tried it. His taste buds loved it and he remarked: "Hmmm, this is so good. You're mom is a good cook."
"She is the finest chef in my old neighborhood. Or was the finest chef before we moved here."
"She should get a job at my dad's restaurant, Lynn's kitchen."
"Ooh, I'll ask her if she can look into that."
