It was almost nightfall and the heroes were awake to make sure this bat monster comes out so they can stop it. Lincoln in particular, was the one most prepared to take down this monster and see what was going on with these attacks and why they were happening in the first place. Yes, This could be the night that this monster's terrorizing days will finally be put at an end. Lincoln readied his golden machine gun and could hardly wait to take this beast down and find Ronni Anne, hoping that this monster might have something to do with it. Luna was feeling ready herself and she was practicing her ice powers on the dummies in the underground bunker that Lisa owns.

"I guess Lisa should create dummies bigger than people." said Luna to herself before freezing a robot dummy with her right hand with an ice beam. Then she pointed another ice beam at a second dummy with her left hand this time, freezing it into submission.

A couple of movable dummies were charging towards her without her noticing. Luckily, the rocker girl noticed them coming at the last second, and one robot tried to swipe at her with a chainsaw hand. The icy rocker girl gasped and did a backflip jump like something in a Matrix movie, and landed behind the robot, and unleashed three sharp ice claws from behind her hands with two "shing!" sounds heard, and she sliced those robots like they were nothing, like vines in the middle of the Congo rainforest. These robots stood no chance against Luna and her sharp ice claws. "Take this!" Luna exclaimed after slicing one robot dummy. "And that!" she sliced another. "Peace Sells! But who's buying?!" As she sliced more robots with her ice claws, she was sweating a little more and sang: "Dance like the Marionnettes, swing to the symphony of destruction!"

One by one, the robot dummies were either sliced in half, or had its chest ripped open by the claws, or turned into nuts and bolts by her. Panting heavily and catching her breath, Luna felt more than ready to take on the bat thing tonight. Her friends felt as prepared as she was. "You robots got cooked tonight." said Luna to the fallen dummies. She sheathed her claws back in her arms and felt more powerful than ever.

"Lincoln," said Jenny, coming in his room. "Are you doing ok?"

"Yep. I'm ready to take down that beast and see if it has to do with Ronnie Anne missing. I have a feeling that it's behind everything going on with her." he cocked his gun and cleaned his laser sword with a rag. "I don't know why, but... It seems to come after me the most."

"I wonder." said Jenny. "But we'll find her. I promise."

"I know we will." Lincoln said. "The bat will give me a clue on where she is, whether he wants to or not. And i won't kill it, because maybe it's an unwilling person that got turned into the monster."

"Maybe." said Jenny. "But what's with the gun then?"

Lincoln looked at the machine gun, and thought it over. "I'm only going to use it to wound it so we can bring it to Lisa for studying and experimenting." he explained. "Like I said: he or she could be an... unwilling hench-person. Who knows?"

"Good thinking. Something like a werebat, and it might turn back into a person in the day." Jenny realized. "Maybe he is an unwilling helper to whoever turned him into this."

"Right!" Lincoln pointed. "Though I'm surprised that Wernicke has nothing to do with this, event through Lisa's lie detector."

"Well, the person behind something awful can be someone you least expect." said Jenny. "You're worst enemy could be your best friend."

"Good point. You have to trust someone so much to be betrayed." Lincoln polished his laser gun next. "But Jenny?"

"Hmm?"

"Why do you think that monster is after me the most? I mean, it tried to grab my in it's clutches like a falcon picking up a lizard from the ground." He sat down on his bed, thinking on the reason why that monster tried to abduct Lincoln in the first place.

Jenny frowned and tried to think about the reason herself. "Honestly..." Jenny began to talk, "I don't know." she sat down next to him. "I mean, I wish I knew why it was after you."

"No, it's ok, Jenny." said Lincoln. "Maybe when we do find her and everything goes back to normal, we can do something like to go Dairyland together. Just the two of us."

The super fast girl smiled and said: "Yeah! That would be so amazing! I love theme parks. But yeah, I want you to be happy, baby. You're... my new boyfriend after all, and I want you to be happy, and if you're happy, i'm happy."

"Thanks Jenny. Why can't more girls be more like you? Or Ronnie?"

"No idea. Can't always get what we want."

"That's what my parents always say to me and my sisters." said Lincoln. "Big family, small budget kind of things."

Jenny made an annoyed: "Ugh, I know. Granted, my family is not as big as yours, but I know that feeling too well. The bigger the family, the more chances they will face more money problems."

Both the lovers had a good laugh, and Luna came into the room. "Hey dude, you... oh, I'm sorry, I don't mean to intrude on stuff between you guys. I'll just get out of here."

"No, it's ok, Luna." said Lincoln. "We were just talking, that's all."

"I gotta make it back to my house before my dad freaks out about where I am." Jenny said. "See you soon, Lincoln." she put on her mask to cover her identity, and left the house in great speed. Lincoln waved at her, peeping outside his bedroom door. "Well Luna, i'm ready." he cocked his gun once more.

Luna smiled and said: "Good." she gently touched his shoulders with her gloveless, soft, warm hands, despite having ice powers. "I was checking if you were ok. And if you were ready for tonight."

"I am. And I'm fine." Lincoln said. "Still worried about Ronnie. And I know crying or stressing about this won't bring her back like magic. Though I wonder if I can pull her out of my magic bowler hat. I mean, I'm kind of a magician after all."

Luna made a small laugh and remarked: "Nah, you know it doesn't work like that. Though I'm not really a magician."

"Yeah, I would have to be as powerful as Criss Angel to bring her back out of magic." Lincoln said, making Luna laugh some more.

"Totally. Maybe that bat dude might have something to do with it." Luna said. "And I know we'll find her. The trap is ready, and the rest of the guys are prepared."

Lincoln smiled hearing that. "Good." he put his gun next to the drawer that he would keep his pajamas and pants in, under where he would hang his normal polo shirts. "I'll stay up all night if I have to if it means finding Ronnie Anne."

"Same here." Luna then gave him a tender kiss on the forehead, and said: "Be careful, Linc."

"I will. You too." Lincoln replied to her. The older sister exited the room and Lincoln was waiting and waiting for that monster to come while most of the lights are out. Feeling a little bored, he pulled out a recliner chair and his laptop while waiting outside in the front yard while in his Ace Savvy suit. His Chatellerault gun was right beside him, and his beam sword was under him, along with his laser gun on the other side of the recliner. It was beautiful in the winter sky. Cold, but beautiful. The full moon was shining over the thick snow clouds, and After thirty minutes, Lincoln fell asleep while reading comic books.

Three hours passed after falling asleep, and It was silent, with the faint sound of the wind blowing. It was a good thing Lincoln had a blanket over himself to keep warm, otherwise, he would have had a cold in this weather. Luna noticed this, and gently woke him up while holding a lantern. "Hey, dude." Luna said softly. "Wake up." she gently wriggled him with her hands, softly holding his arms. "Come on Lincoln. Wake up."

"hmmm. What? What?" Lincoln suddenly awoken and looked rather frantic as if he missed something really important, like oversleeping on a school day.

"Sorry dude, but you shouldn't be out here if it's so cold out here in that kind of outfit. You might get sick." Luna gave him another warm blanket to keep warm.

"Sorry Luna." Lincoln sighed. "I doubt that monster might look for us inside the house. Besides, it's part of the trap."

"I know. I'm just being a good sister to ya. That's all."

Suddenly something flew under the cloudy full moon, and it was like a winged thing. Luna and Lincoln knew exactly what it meant.

A terrifying screech was heard in the sky. Luna got her walkie-talkie and said: "Dudes, it's here! get here as fast as you can!"

"Cody that." said Yakov on the other line.

"I'm pumped for this." Jesse added

"Time to put that thing in its place!" said Mason.

"Just in time." Jenny said enthusiastically.

"We're on our way, Luna!" Sam concluded the conversation. Unsurprisingly, Jenny came to the scene first and then Yakov, then Mason, then Jesse, and Sam last.

The beast swooped down and tried to catch Lincoln and the kid said: "Now Sam, now!"

"Right!" Luna's girlfriend used her two hands to create a large wave of lightning at the monster and rendered it unconscious. Despite how painful it was, the monster managed to get back up and tried charging at Sam like a train in pure anger, as if she threw a rock at the beast.

"Oh my god!" Sam shouted before moving out of the way. She barely made got out of the charge, as if an arrow was trying to pierce her. Sam then felt herself being gently lifted from the ground by Luna.

"You ok, dude?"

"Yeah. I'm fine. It was a close one."

"Heck yeah it was."

The bat thing roared again and tried swooping down on the heroes again, but Yakov tried something smart yet stupid. He jumped a great distance from a house and was on top of the thing. "Give up, monster!" he shouted, pulling its ears. "I've got some training from my Soviet father, and never underestimate a man from the Soviet Union!" he began punching on top of the beasts' head and pounding it mercilessly, trying to make this thing go down like a fighter plane.

Despite how painful the punches were, the monster was still fighting and going strong. Yakov didn't know what to do next, but then... he thought of another idea. He used his metallic hands to grab the monster's upper eyelids and pulled it away from its eyes and slammed the eyelids against the eyeballs, making the monster screech in pain and crash to the ground. Luckily for him, Yakov managed to jump on his feet with a loud thud from his heavy, metallic feet.

As for the beast; it twirled down and landed on the ground hard with a loud boom as if an explosion was heard, except not as loud. As expected, the bat monster was slowly getting back up, but this time...Lisa came out and, with the help of Snowball the pig, created a large plasma net to keep even the strongest organism intact.

At last, they had the monster and they can finally see where it came from and if it had to do with anything with the disappearance of Lincoln's second best friend.
