Luci flitted to her shoulder. "Your trap worked.." He teased gently, in a fond tone. She made a gravely irritated noise in her throat and shoed him away.

"I can see that…" She looked up at them, and then specifically at Hyrule. "You." She said, in a tone that barely contained her temper and flicked her wrist at him. The vines holding him brought him down and suspended him right before her at eye level with a dizzying speed. "You slipped the initial trap and could have escaped… But you didn't… You came back." She narrowed her eyes at him. "Why did you come back?"

Hyrule looked at her defiantly. Mouth shut. The tall pale woman massaged her temple and sighed.

"Look…. Little man. I'm not here to hurt you. I'm just looking for information and this will go a whole lot faster if you just give it to me, kay? It's early.. I'm super hung-over.. and I'm NOT in the mood." She looked into his eyes and he blinked. He looked briefly up to his friends and then back to her.

"You know them? Are those your friends?" She tried again. He nodded slowly. "Good!" she smiled with teeth "Then you will speak for the party… Why are you here."

Again, she was met with silence. She made an aggravated noise and coiled the vines around the man tighter. He gave out a small cry.

"Bean, wait!" Elfo called out jumping up to her side. They're just some stupid village hicks. They came to fight the monsters. I already told them that they need to go home. They don't seem to even know about the Dark One. Please? Can we just let them down? I want to go home too.." The woman sighed and knelt beside her companion. She ruffled his hair mussing his cap.

"I'm sorry Elfo. You're right. I'm just is a shitty mood."

"Clearly..."Mused Luci, ignored by all.

She stood up again and addressed the chain.

"Okay.." She made a placating gesture with her hands up at the men above. "I'm letting you down now.. When I do.. you Just –"

Suddenly as arrow whizzed by her face flinging her long white hair up around her. A tiny squeak and then a grunt came from Luci as he was impaled by a large arrow shaft pinning him to a tree.

"Luci!" Elfo cried! Running to his side and trying to free the shaft from the tree as gently as he could. He succeeded and gently laid his skewered companion on the ground below

"Ah..That SMARTS.." Luci groaned. He grunted hard as he pulled the arrow out of his chest with both tiny arms. The hole in his body seemed to melt away to the astonishment of the Chain and he popped to his feet like nothing had happened.

Bean turned back towards the direction that the arrow came from. Hyrule was yanked unceremoniously up back to his friends. "Change of plans.. wait here. Elfo keep our guests company don't let them get butchered please." She cracks her knuckles, and her eyes begin to glow a milky white. "Ima go cut a bitch."

"Yeahhhh….No promises" The small man said as he cast a spell of invisibility over the area where they were suspended. He then looked up at the trapped men. "I'm uhhm.. going to need you all to keep reaaal quiet, please."

Bean nodded at his work and turned, whipping her cape with a flourish. Black lightening encircled her hands then her whole being. Everything that it touched; the trees, bushes, grass greyed and fell away as nothing more than a fine dust. She walked with purpose forward to meet a hoard of oncoming monsters now visible through the felled greenery via Beans train of destruction: Lizalfos of every element, Moblins and a Black Hinox charged at the woman. The Hinox roared making the ground seem to vibrate, its thunderous footfalls shaking leaves from the trees.

"What's Happening?!" shouted Wars, still smothered by his scarf. "Someone, anyone tell me something!"

"Uh.." Began Wild, but he trailed off unable to really describe what he was seeing.

"We're going to DIE! Untie us!" Wind screamed and began to thrash wildly.

"SHUT UUUuuppp!" Hissed Elfo from the ground, "They can't see you, remember? It won't be a problem unless you make it one. I can fight if I have to but I can't protect ALL of you at once so be Quiet!"

"Ohhh, drama queens." Yawned Luci and he scoffed. "Just watch, little boys. You're in good hands"

All eyes were on the receding cloaked figure of Queen Bean.

The woman calmly reached a hand up above her head, seemingly in no rush to confront the descending monsters, Th clouds above immediately began to swirl and took on a deep bruised purple look of a heavy storm. A streak of that same dark lightening shot straight down from the clouds and into her open palm, she threw her hand forward towards the charging horde and as it struck them there was a blinding light and a loud boom. The crackling smell of burning flesh, hair and metal along with the unmistakable tang of black blood exploded around them and faded just as quickly with a dying echo of monsters screams. When the light flash passed there was a soft 'snow' of ashes falling from the surrounding sky. The air was thick with it. Bean dusted off her shoulders and turned back towards the group who were now all staring with bulging eyes.

When she was closer Luci flew to her shoulder and laughed. "Boy you ARE in a bad mood today! That's what the trap was for silly…We can't get any information if you just incinerate everything."

Bean glared up at the men in the vines. "Yes Luci I know. But the trap was already occupied, and it takes time to make a new one." She turned to her little winged friend as is she were only really just now seeing him. "What is that ridiculous thing on your head.. You look like Elfo."

"HEY!" Elfo cried in indignation and scrunched his own pointy hat further down onto his head in defiance.

"Its my new hat." He said proudly and stood on her shoulder in a pose.

"Well, wash it. It stinks."

"Aww..but that's why I like it." Luci met her burning eyes "*sigh* Yes Ma'am.." he huffed and fluttered away.

"Now.. where were we." The strange and terrifying queen returned her attention to the men in the vines. She raised her hands in a graceful arc and the chain began a slow controlled decent. Once resting upon the ground the vines slowly began to uncoil releasing the men.

"ughh…" gasped Twilight falling back in relief, a soft laugh escaped him as he was finally free. Time was the first to make it to his feet, followed in short order by Sky and Wars. Each man massaging wrists and stretching and twisting their bodies to try to restore blood to their limbs.

"So.." Time said, slowly approaching the trio of strangers. "That was…quite a display just now."

"Yeahhh….." seconded Legend who was now also on his feet. His lip still swollen and bloody. The streak of blood from the injury had run up just past his eye when he upside down and had dried that way making him look far more injured than he was. "Who are you..people?"

He locked eyes with Luci, who was still wearing his hat. Luci in turn ducked behind the tall woman's leg.

The woman gave a long-suffering sigh, ""Just a woman on a rampage..." she pulled a small silver flask from a pocket at her hip. The smell once it was untwisted was like something from a nightmare and the entire group recoiled as one. She took a loooooong pull from it as if it were nothing more than water, and simply blinked at them with a tired expression as she recapped it. "Someone incredibly stupid stole something from me and I want it back."

"Ack! What is IN that?" asked Wars, horrified, with a hand in front of his face.

Bean shrugged and looked at the flask with a dull interest swishing it in her hand. "Ogre Killer…mostly, plus a little of whatever was left in there before. I don't know. Just somethin' I picked up in Hell." She raised an eyebrow and offered it out to the group. Wars stepped back making no effort to hide his revulsion. Wind made to step forward, a look of intrigue on his face, but a firm hand on his shoulder from Time warned him to go no further. "Suit yourself."

Elfo approached her side holding up what looked like a magical orb glowing between his hands. He stared into it intently "Uh..Hey Bean? It doesn't look like he's even here anymore.. My readings are showing that he left through a portal while we were fighting the monsters.."

"We?" quipped Luci flatly, earning a dirty look from the Elf-man.

"OOOOhhhH! CURSE THAT RED-EYED BASTARD! Thinks he can run from ME, does he!? I don't care How many beasties he summons or stupid portals he runs through. When I catch him IMA TEAR HIM A NEW ASSHOLE!" Bean bellowed, grabbing fistfuls of her white hair in frustration. "RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS BIG STUPID HEAD!"

Elfo handed her the orb and she glared at it briefly before nodding and handing it back to him.

Bean brought her hands up before her to cast her dark magic again. The chain exchanged nervous glances as energy began to eddy around her body whipping her cape. A large round portal of smoky purple darkness appeared before her and she stepped through it without any further words on the matter. Luci shrugged and gave the boys a cheeky salute before leaping through after her.

Elfo was the last to go and looked at the men. "Uh…Yeah so… Um. It was nice to meet you. Um, you boys stay safe ok? Oh…and uh, Please don't follow us. Bean won't stop until that slimy thing's head is on a pike. This portal should disappear in a few hours so just avoid-"

"ELFO!" Bean called echoing through the space/time portal "I Will leave you!"

"AH! Coming!" He gave the group one last apologetic smile and followed his companions.

Once the trio of strangers was gone the chain stood for a moment in bewildered silence.

"S-should we…follow them through the portal?" Ventured Four. "They seem to also be after the Shadow, so it probably leads wherever it went.."

Wars grimaced. "Let's…give it a few minutes. I'd rather not risk running into That Woman again."

The group seemed to give general mumbles of agreement.

"I dunno… I kinda liked her." Wind grinned, and cocked his head to the side. "She seemed nice."

Twilight and Time exchanged worried glances but didn't say anything.

Wild, slate already in hand, "Anyone want some food while we wait?"

"Ah! Yes please!" Four jumped up beside him "That sounds amazing". Sky was already starting a small fire for the cookpot.

The group began to fall into the well-rehearsed routine of prepping for the next leg of their adventure while the food began to cook.

"What do you think that the Shadow could have possibly stolen from her to make her that angry?" Sky mused, almost to himself as he sat down on a nearby log tending his fire.

"I have No Idea.." Twilight replied, shaking his head. "Whatever it was must have been important. Maybe some powerful item or artifact?"

"Think she'll get it back?" asked Four.

"Probably! She seems….tenacious," said Time. Everyone nodded.

A few quiet moments settled into the make-shift camp until Wild announced it was time for lunch

Legend suddenly stood up with a look of pure fury on his face. "AH SHIT, MY HAT!"
