Lincoln was growing a little more frustrated with trying to find his missing friend, but he knew moping and complaining in trying to find her wasn't going to bring her back in an instant. The beast got away again, and the least he can do was wait for it to come back another time. After all, Ronnie's family was still looking for her in Great Lakes City, just in case she unexpectedly turns up again for some reason. He always got Luna and his cronies to make him happy in case he needed the happiness back in him. Plus, she was a strong girl and he just needed to have faith in her. As of now, he was helping the heroes take down Living Taser and Hairdoom, who were trying to destroy a cosmetic factory for the fun of it.
"Give it up, heroes!" said Hairdoom. "You're not match for me and my love here!"
Luna tried shooting an ice beam at Hairdoom, only to miss the deranged supervillain. "Just keep saying that, weirdos!" Luna shouted to them. "We've beaten you time and time again, turds! This won't be any different than now! What comes around, goes around. And I'll tell ya why!" she fired a bunch of other ice beams at them, resulting in one of Hairdoom's tendrils being frozen. "Because good always wins over evil!"
"Agh! My hair! It will take a while to grow that back!" Hairdoom said.
Angry at seeing his own partner get hurt, Living Taser got infuriated, and tried zapping Luna with his electric powers, and by how Luna was twitching and yelling in agony, it was absolutely painful for her to endure. "Feel the pain, girl!" said Taser. "Within a few seconds, you'll be as insane as we are!"
"Not if I can help it!" said Sam, flying into Taser and knocking him through a glass window of a convenience store and punching him many times in the face, making him spit out a tooth after he kicked Sam off of him, making her land into a shelf of potato chips. Despite how forceful it was for Sam, she ran and charged at Living Taser and gave him a powerful uppercut to the face, right out of the broken window that she crashed Taser into in the first place.
Taser was now getting even more angry, and tried punching her in the face in retaliation, and managed to kick her in the stomach, and when Sam fell on her knees from how painful that was, Taser managed to hit her in the back of the head and was about to finish her off with a broken piece of glass, aiming to pierce her in the neck with it. Before Taser could finish the job however, Jesse jumped in and gave him an uppercut kick in the face, knocking him out cold.
"No one tries to hurt anyone of my friends." Jesse said. "And don't mess with the best, sucker!"
Mason went up to Sam and gently helped his comrade up. "You ok, Sam?"
"Just fine, Mason. Thank you." Sam replied. "I didn't really need any help, but thank you."
"And let him pierce your neck like that?" Mason said
"I could have dodged out of the way!" Sam sounded rather defensive to him. Both Jesse and Mason looked a little surprised to see that kind of unusual behavior from a calm, cool and collected girl like Sam is. The electric girl realized that she was being abrupt, and she took a breath. "Sorry guys." she breathed.
"It's ok, man." said Jesse. "But there's still another problem to take care of."
They all pointed to Hairdoom and Lincoln was firing his gun at her in the distance. The female villain was smart however, and shielded herself with her hair in the form of... a shield and dodged many bullets, but Lincoln was also clever, and he ran up to Hairdoom with his beam sword, like a soldier on a mission. He swung and he swung at her, and tried to slice at the female villain. Dodging many tendrils shaped like swords and axes, Lincoln finally got caught up in her clutches from another one of her tendrils, like a mouse in a python's coils.
"Gotcha!" Hairdoom shrieked in triumph. "Maybe I should give you a tickling of doom!"
"No! Not that, please!" Lincoln begged.
Little did the deranged villainess know that, Jenny began circling around her and created something of a tornado with super-fast speed, and it caught Hairdoom off-guard. It distracted her enough to release Lincoln, for this was too much for the villain to handle at once, and tried grabbing her. "Pesky girl! I'll make you as bald as Voldemort when I'm done with you!"
"That's where you're wrong, you deranged Zhinka!"
Yakov jumped and grabbed his hair with one mechanical hand, and it made Hairdoom shriek in a small yelp, knowing that she was about to get wrecked. The next thing Yakov did was he began lassoing her over his head over and over again, and threw her to a large snow pile, rendering her unconscious. "That's enough out of these two." said Yakov. "Another job well done."
"I'll say." said Jenny. "We really showed them how it's done." she cracked her knuckles in triumph. A round of applause was heard from the witnesses that were hiding in cover, like in trash cans or dumpsters or even their own cars for protection from all the fighting. Yes, they were receiving the usual praise they were getting from adoring fans around them. It was really good to be loved by the public like this, and they know how to save the day from evil. However, Hairdoom, and Living Taser, seething with rage, decided to make a hasty getaway and live to fight the heroes another day.
It was no big deal since the heroes have dealt with these turds many times before. Some people just never learn after all.
"Nice work as always, guys." said Luna. "Totally awesome."
"I'll say." said Lincoln.
"So Sam, what was that outburst about?" asked Mason.
"What? Oh, that. It's nothing." Sam, while she said that, it had to mean something.
"Come on, Sam. You can tell us." Luna said.
"We can... talk about it when we get back to the house." Sam sighed. "I'll tell you there."
"OK then." said Yakov.
Still feeling triumphant, Yakov was enjoying some cider and the rest some hot chocolate on yet another cold day here in Royal Woods.
Sam looked a little uncomfortable, and had her arms crossed. "OK, I'll tell you guys the truth," said Sam. "I have some... negative feelings about you, Mason."
"Me? What for?"
Sam raised her left eyebrow at him, making the fire hero catch on.
"Ohhh. Right, me and Luna... you know." Both he and Luna looked ashamed again.
"Look, we said we were sorry for all that."
"Yeah, we just... lost it there." Luna added.
"I know." Sam said. "But Mason, I kinda gave resentment towards you after that. I know we made up, but..."
Mason sighed and said: "I understand, Sam. If you still haven't fully forgiven me... I understand. Just take all the time you need." he turned his back on the group. "And... I'll just stay away from you until you fully forgive me."
"Oh no, no, you don't have to do that." Sam pointed. "We can still fight crime together."
Luna smiled. "Good. I just don't want things to be any more awkward than they usually are." she said.
"They won't." Sam chuckled.
"Come on, can't we just learn to forgive and forget?" Lincoln asked. "Or... I'll just stay out of this."
"No, you're right Lincoln." said Mason. "We just need to move on and focus at the matter of hand."
"So we still need to find that bat dude." Jesse said. "Maybe it might come out at night again... unless we scared it off."
"The chief said he will be in contact with us if he and his comrades see that monster again."
"He'll give us some kind of signal." Jenny said. "We just need to wait when it attacks again, and Chief Duncan will report it to us."
"Good." said Lincoln.
"But hey, wanna play some games, Lincoln?" Jenny asked
"Sure. That sounds fun." they both turned on the console and began playing Zombie Killer Nine-thousand together. Luna smiled and thought of how much of a nice couple Lincoln and Jenny made together.
It was late at night again and Lincoln was asleep. Suddenly, Luna barged into his room and said: "Lincoln! Lincoln! Get up!"
"What? what? What is it?!" Lincoln sounded alarmed, springing up from bed.
"Duncan gave us a message saying the monster just came out again!"
"Got it." said Lincoln, pulling out his Ace Savvy costume and weapons. Yes, he was ready to fight this beast with everything he got again. If he didn't try to catch it, there was always another day.
