Chapter 17 Kidnapping
Hua throws her jacket on her bed furiously. She headed back to her hotel room. She took a sip of water to try to calm her nerves. She was already frustrated by Sakura's brother Touya for throwing her out of a common house. No one ever had done that to her. After she was thrown out she wanted to follow Syaoran and see where his apartment was. But Meiling and Syaoran had left too fast. She was so mad she gripped on the glass cup and threw it on the wall. The glass shatters upon impact from the wall.
She was so angry and she thought, "I should blame her for not being able to follow Syaoran." She taps her hand on the counter and tries to think of a way to force them apart. She didn't know they were not dating. But she wanted to get rid of her. She had forgotten what her name was. She had only remembered the name Tomoyo.
Hua's cell phone rang and she looked at it briefly. She smiles and answers the phone. "Uncle Li!" she answered cheerfully. She previously had to work hard to impress this uncle. He was the lead leader in the Li Clan. He made judgments for the clan until the heir claims the inheritance. She had to pretend to be damsel in distress and pretend to care about his well being. At first he did not trust her but eventually he felt bad for her.
She would come over to help him when his daughter and son were away. He had gotten into a car accident and she was the first person he saw in the hospital. She made him soup and nursed him as much as she could. When Meiling tried to put her in a disadvantage with the clan, only this uncle had protected her. He sent his niece to Japan where she could finally find out where Syaoran was.
"Little Hua, I just found out you went to Japan?" He asked.
"Uncle, I needed to find Xiaolang. We are engaged and we should be happy." Hua said.
"Alas, that boy doesn't know what is good for him." Uncle Li said.
"Do not worry too much. He will find the perfect girl eventually, even if I have to step back." she said sadly.
"Uncle, this girl had pushed me down because I was getting too close to him." she said maliciously.
"That ingrate girl. Who is she? I shall punish her if I have to." he said firmly.
Hua pretends to sniffle on the phone. "Uncle, I don't want to hurt her. She is very close to Xiaolang. I would hate for him to hate me so much. I just wanted to be her friend." her eyes flash with malice.
"Hua Hua, don't you worry. I will make my nephew understand that this girl is corrupted. She isn't like an angel like you." Uncle Li said coaxing her.
Hua laughs in her head. She really had this uncle like pudding in her hand. After she helped him in the hospital he never doubted her. She thought now Sakura had no chance.
"Uncle Li, if you think that is the best solution. I will follow you." she said. She smiles and says, "Uncle, I miss you. I hope you have been eating well these days."
"Silly, I will always be your backer in our clan. Only you deserve to be with us." he said.
"Uncle, I am in need to do something at the moment. When I have the chance I will call you back." Hua said.
"Okay. I will talk to my nephew." He said. They said their goodbyes. Hua scorns at Uncle Li. She felt he was too easy to please. He would listen to her to anything. She calls for housekeeping to clean up her mess in the hotel.
The housekeeper came into the room to clean up the pieces. Hua looked at the girl, she felt she resembled too much like that girl. She pushes her to the ground. The girl fell on the shards of glasses and cried in agony. Hua looks at the girl harshly. She raises her hand and slaps the girl. The girl starts to cry. Hua takes a step on her hands and smiles at her pain. The housekeeper faints from the pain. Hua laughs and calls the management to get rid of the girl.
Kei looks at Sakura and Syaoran from afar. He gripped his steering wheel. He had wanted to get Syaoran away from Sakura. Everything was not going to his plan. For the first time he didn't know what to do. All the girls he had dated before always chased after him. But Sakura was the first to want to be friends with him. Then when Syaoran came into the picture he felt that it was going to be harder to get with her.
He unclenches his hands on the steering wheel. He starts to tap his hand on the wheel to think of something. He felt that Sakura didn't keep him in his mind. He had to change that as soon as possible. He felt that Sakura was walking away from him and towards Syaoran.
His phone suddenly rang. He looks at his phone.
He received a call from his father. He glares at it and answers, "Hello, father."
"Kei, where are you?" his father demanded, "We haven't seen you all day."
Kei rolls his eyes and responds, "What is so important?"
"I have met with Mr. Amamiya. We will be meeting his granddaughter tomorrow. I need you to get prepared for that." he said.
Kei scorns at his father. His father was still on his case about this girl. He didn't want to meet her and he looked up at Sakura. She would smile brightly and look carefree talking to Syaoran.
"I don't want to meet her." Kei said.
"You ingrate boy!" his father screamed on the phone.
Kei pulls the phone away from his ear. He looked at his phone and was annoyed with his father.
"If you do not come tomorrow, I will have to drag you here whether you like it or not." his father said, before hanging up on him.
Kei sighs. His father never thought about him. He took one look at Sakura again, and drove his car away.
Sakura turns her head and notices a car driving away. She enters Syaoran's car. Upon entering she sees the candy that Syaoran had purchased the day before.
"May I have a piece?" she asked him, showing her puppy eyes at him.
Syaoran sat down and looked at the piece of candy she wanted to eat. He chuckles at her cute expression. He nods his head. "Of course."
"I always liked these when I was younger. They tasted so sweet it always warmed up my day." She said cheerfully, "I used to give to my friends because they always made me happy."
Syaoran laughs and starts his car. They drove off and stopped in front of her house. Sakura turns to him, "Thank you Li."
Syaoran looked away and he was not used to someone thanking him. "It's no problem."
Sakura took a piece of candy and placed it in his hand. "Don't forget your daily happiness." she said. She turned and got out of his car and waved at him.
Syaoran looked at his hand and felt it was burning. He never felt like this over a candy before. He unwrapped the candy and placed it in his mouth as he saw Sakura walking away. He smiles and feels happiness creeping up on him. He felt the candy tasted better than he ever had. He did not know what Sakura did to him but he felt his heart pounding harder. He didn't know what this feeling was so he took a deep breath and drove away.
Sakura opens the door to her house with Touya looking at her, not smiling. Sakura felt a little nervous. "Did I do something wrong today?" she asked timidly.
Touya didn't respond and kept looking at her for another minute before he responded, "That monster took you home again?"
Sakura looked at Touya and glared at him. "He isn't a monster. His name is Syaoran Li."
Touya was taken back from her response. Sakura had never defended a guy before. He just looked at her and raised his hand over her head and messed it up. Sakura shakes her head to get away from Touya. He smiles at her and turns away.
"Touya!" she yelled. She runs after him and jumps behind him and tugs him to the ground. Sakura laughs as she drags him down and smiles.
"Don't worry so much, Touya. He is only my friend." she said. They get up and he just pats her head like a pet.
"I'm not a pet!" she said, shaking her head again.
"Haha. You're my little monster." he said, walking away from her quickly. She glares at him as he walks away.
She straightens out her clothes and walks up to their dinner table. Her father was cooking their delicious dinner. She runs and hugs her father from behind.
"I'm home, dad." she said. She rubs her head behind his back as he continues to cook. He smiles at Sakura.
"I see you are still sometimes a child." he said softly.
She hugs her father tighter. "I'm always a child when in front of you." she said. She walks to their dining table and waits for the dinner to finish up.
They all ate their dinner and laughed at their jokes during dinner. She felt very happy and satisfied.
Her father reminds her, "Don't forget you're going to visit your grandfather tomorrow."
Sakura nods her head and heads up to her room and is ready to start looking at her emails. She looked forward to hearing from Little Wolf.

Hello Ying Fa,
I'm very sorry for not being able to reach out to you these few days. I have had a hectic day and one of my family members came. She is having a difficult time right now. We have things going on in our family. I hope you have been having a nice few days. I know I have recently made a friend today. I am quite surprised that I am still capable of making friends. I will be honest, over these years it has been hard for me to make friends. I am busy in my family and I have a trusting issue with making friends. I feel comfortable talking to you for some reason. I feel at ease and not pressured. I hope you can understand?
Little Wolf
Sakura felt sad that Little Wolf has trouble making friends. She wanted to be able to be there for him in his time of need if she could. She starts to respond to his email.

Hello Little Wolf,
I'm been having a few good days. I am happy to meet my little friend again. He always had me smiling whenever I saw him. I just felt so terrible to leave him whenever. Before I had met him, he didn't smile much. But after mentoring him and showing him he could be happy. He now smiles so bright. I'm so happy to see him every time I visit him. I feel terrible that you had a difficult time making friends. I just hope you can treat me as a true friend. I will alway try to be there for you.
Ying Fa
Sakura had hoped he didn't feel she was pitying him. She didn't, she just wanted to be a good friend for him. Everyone needs a person they can trust and confide in. She just hoped he would understand her from her perspective. She went to wash up and dry her hair. She looks at her phone and misses a call from Tomoyo.
She picks up her phone and calls her back. She dries her hair with a towel while waiting for the call. Her phone kept going to voicemail. Sakura started to worry a bit. Tomoyo always answers her phone. She decides to call Eriol.
Sakura hears from Eriol. "Hello, Eriol. I'm so sorry to bother you so late at night." She started.
"Hello, Sakura." he answers.
"I was hoping perhaps you have heard from Tomoyo recently?" she asked.
She heard him shuffle around and responded, "Is something wrong?"
"It's just Tomoyo had called me and I tried to call her back. But she didn't answer." she started, "She always answers my call."
Eriol pondered over what Sakura said. He looks at his phone and presses a button to check a live action of location on the phone. He noticed that Tomoyo was not at her home. In fact, the location was far from her home. Eriol eyes flash with concern. After the incident at the party, he was always concerned about Jin retaliating. He didn't know much about Jin, but he knew not to trust him.
"Sakura, I'm sure she is fine. If you like to I will personally go to her home to make sure she is okay. You should get some rest. Tomorrow is a time to celebrate with your family." Eriol reassured her. Eriol threw on some regular clothes and put on his jacket. He grabbed his car keys and ran out his door. He thought to himself, 'Please be okay, Tomoyo.'
Sakura hung up her phone but she still felt uneasy. But she trusted Eriol and laid down in her bed. Her phone rang, she looked at the screen.
'Hi, Sakura. I hope you don't mind. I asked for your phone number from Eriol. By the way, this is Meiling.'
Sakura smiled. She starts to reply, 'Hi, Meiling. No, I'm glad you did. I would have asked Eriol too."
Meiling smiles at the message from Sakura. She peeks at Syaoran who was smiling at the computer. Meiling thought to herself, 'Who could Syaoran be talking to and smiling'
Syaoran was looking at his email from Ying Fa. He did not know a smile had crept on his face. He had looked forward to hearing from her. He had felt his heart skip again, he drank some water and saw her message.
He could not help thinking about little Jun. His smile was always smiling brightly when he was around Sakura. He thought, 'Sakura seems to have this glow that makes everyone so happy. He didn't smile and laugh as often as he did with her.' he shakes his head and realizes he was thinking about Sakura again.
"Syaoran, what made you smile?" she said right next to his ear. Syaoran nearly fell out of his chair. He normally had good senses and could sense when Meiling was nearby. He seemed to be distracted for the first time. Before he could answer Meiling he saw his phone ring.
He looked at his phone and saw it was from Eriol. He gave one last look at Meiling and frowned at her. She just smiles and walks away. He answers his phone.
"Hello, Eriol." Syaoran greeted Eriol on the phone.
"Syaoran! Thank god you answered!" Eriol exclaimed. Syaoran was startled by Eriol's cries.
"What is wrong Eriol?" Syaoran asked seriously.
"Tomoyo is in trouble. I need your help." Eriol said, "Meet me down by the abandoned suburbs on the southside."
Syaoran was confused how Tomoyo would have gotten into trouble. He grabbed his coat and ran out of the apartment. Meiling walks out of the bathroom to talk to Syaoran. But she noticed he was missing from the apartment. Meiling looks around and says, "Well, that was quick."
Meiling was about to leave the room but noticed Syaoran's computer was still on. She ponders for a moment and shakes her head. She thinks, "If he knows I looked at his computer he will kill me.' She walks towards the door and stops. 'But what he doesn't know won't hurt me.'
She walks fast back to his computer. She peeks at the message that was still open.
"Ying Fa?" Meiling whispers. She thought perhaps it was Sakura that Syaoran was smiling about. This had confused Meiling even more. She guessed she had to research more about this girl named Ying Fa. Meiling started to feel bad for looking though Syaoran things, but she kept looking through their messages. She smiled and felt that Syaoran must have feelings for this Ying Fa. But she thought, 'What about Sakura. She likes Sakura and wasn't sure about this Ying Fa. She seems like a nice girl but compared to Sakura she didn't seem like a saint.
Meiling made a decision and was determined to make Syaoran fall in love with Sakura. With that in her mind she put everything back to the way it was before Syaoran left. She walked out with her mind on getting Syaoran and Sakura to get together. She needs to plan something.
Syaoran went to the location that Eriol had sent him. Syaoran pulled up next to Eriol's car.
"What happen?" Syaoran asked.
Eriol said not looking at him, "Tomoyo is in that warehouse. From what I see she is tied up there." Eriol was getting impatient. He started to walk towards the warehouse. But Syaoran stopped him and pulled him.
"Do you have a plan?" Syaoran asked.
Eriol pulls his arm away from Syaoran and says, "It doesn't matter! Tomoyo is in there." He starts to run towards the warehouse. Syaoran frowns and shakes his head in frustration. He had never seen Eriol so flustered. He runs toward the warehouse after Eriol.
Eriol starts to kick the door open. The boys in the warehouse were surrounding Tomoyo. Tomoyo woke up from the sound of the loud noise of the door slamming opening. She looked surprised to see strange men surrounding her. She looked scared and timid. She tried to get up and realized she was tied down in a chair.
The men quickly looked to see where the noise came from. They see an angry Eriol at the door. Eriol cracks his neck and knuckles getting ready for a fight. Tomoyo was surprised to see Eriol but was relieved to see him.
"Eriol!" Tomoyo muffled out.
Eriol quickly looked and saw Tomoyo tied up. Eriol had already looked angry but when he saw the condition that Tomoyo was in it made him flare up. He looks at the closest person with a dark expression. He gives the guy a hard kick to the ground. He looks at the next person nearby him. He runs up and punches him in the stomach. The third person tries to punch Eriol and Eriol dodges the attack. He grabs the guy's arm and twists his arm and throws him to the wall. The fourth guy picks up a steel pipe on the ground and goes after Eriol. Eriol kept dodging the attacks and rolled over on the ground. Eriol looked up at the guy with the pipe who raised the pipe ready to hit Eriol.
The guy fell to the ground by Eriol. Eriol looks up and sees that Syaoran has knocked him out. Eriol looked at Syaoran with relief. Tomoyo shouted out as someone was holding her with a knife to her neck. Syaoran and Eriol looked at Tomoyo with a panicked expression.
Eriol looks at the guy and squints his eyes at him. Syaoran looked at the guy and thought he looked familiar. If he had recalled, this guy was a hitman that was normally paid to get things done discreetly. He felt that someone was behind this kidnapping and was plotting something.
Tomoyo felt her ties were getting loose. She looked at Eriol and had a strong sense of strength in her. She felt touched that Eriol had come to save her. She knocked back her head that hit the man's nose and he started to bleed. He lets her go and grabs his nose from pain.
"That B-" he started and was knocked down by a pipe that Eriol threw at him.
Tomoyo loosened her ties and ran towards Eriol. Eriol grabs her and holds her tightly.
"Are you okay?" Eriol asked. His expression had changed to a genuine calm and caring expression. Tomoyo looked at him and felt her tears coming. She held Eriol tightly. Eriol pats her head and looks at Syaoran seriously. They looked at each other and nodded their heads in agreement. There was something fishy going on and they needed to figure out what was happening.
