"Alice hurry up." Rosalie was getting annoyed with her sister. The concert started in ten minutes and Alice was wasting time talking to three people dressed up like vampires. Well what Hollywood considered vampires. Looking around Rosalie shook her head seeing all the random outfits. It was the fact that she saw more than a dozen people with white painted faces and fake fangs that made her question whether coming to this was a good idea.
"Sorry I was just asking that guy where he got his teeth done." Alice said as she joined the group. Jasper hadn't wanted to come so it was just Alice, Rosalie, Emmett, Veronica,Edward and his human mate Lauren.
"What do you mean got done?" Emmett unlike Rosalie was enjoying all the random costumes.
"I mean done because he had them surgically altered. He permanently has fangs now. Well if he doesn't undergo surgery again to remove them that is." Alice said.
"Why would someone want to alter their teeth like that?" Veronica asked.
"He said he did it for Bella. He and his friends are mega fans and have met her a few three of them have matching tattoos of Bella's signature that she personally signed on their even scored VIP passes for tonight." Alice said.
"Wait they have VIP passes?" Rosalie perked up hearing that.
"Yes but before you go asking them to sell them I already tried." Alice had approached the trio when she saw the passes hanging around their necks.
"How much did you offer them?" Rosalie thought if she offered more than Alice did then maybe one of them would give up a pass.
"I asked them to name their price and they replied that even for a million dollars they wouldn't sell them to me." Alice told her.
"Bella Swan fans are insane." Lauren mumbled from beside Edward. She didn't really like Bella Swan but a lot of the kids at school did so she agreed to go so she could brag that she went.
"Regardless if they are insane or not lets go get our seats." Veronica tugged on Emmett's hand and led the group to their seating area.
After handing over their tickets Alice pushed Lauren and Edward out of the way and pulled Rosalie to the seat right in front of the middle of the stage. "You stand here."
"Do I look alright?" Rosalie was second guessing her outfit when she looked around and saw how everyone was dressed. Maybe she should have worn something to prove she was a fan. "What if Bella looks at me and thinks I'm not here for her?"
Alice gave her sister a soft smile. Rosalie always put on a tough front but underneath she was just like any other insecure teenager. "You look great, besides it doesn't matter what you are wearing she'll know you are here for her when she sees you singing along to all of her songs."
"Thanks Alice." Rosalie ran her hand over her shirt and adjusted her skirt. She knew that if she was human her hands would be beyond sweaty. Rosalie didn't know why she was so nervous but she had a feeling the night was going to be memorable.
"Who is the opening act?" Veronica asked.
"Bella doesn't have opening acts. For the encore she invites a different unsigned band or singer to sing a few of their songs with they are lucky Bella will sign them to her record company. I read in an article that record companies send scouts to every concert to try and poach the acts from Bella." Rosalie explained.
"That probably gets them better recognition than just opening for her." Emmett said.
Alice squealed in excitement when the lights went out. "It's starting."
"I'll give you a…"
There was a pause after the opening words of the song sung by backup singers blared through the arena followed by overwhelming screaming and cheering. It was the loudest thing Rosalie had ever heard and she had to stop herself from plugging her ears to muffle the sound. A spotlight shone on a lone man with a guitar as he came up through the floor of the stage. "Isn't that her brother Sebastian?"
"Yeah. He is always by her side." Alice told her.
Rosalie didn't understand her feelings of jealousy that the thought of Sebastian being constantly around Bella brought. Instead of dwelling on it Rosalie decided to just enjoy the show.
"I'll give you a one…."
Rosalie could feel the anticipation in the crowd as this time the pause came with a woman behind a drum set being spotlighted along side Bella's brother.
"I'll give you a one, two….."
The rest of the band was then spotlighted and Rosalie felt herself getting impatient waiting for Bella to come on stage.
"I'll give you a one, two, three…."
Just when Rosalie thought the crowd couldn't get any louder the lights went out again and Bella Swan came up through the floor the same place her brother did but instead of just a spotlight Bella was surrounded by pyrotechnics. She was wearing black sunglasses, a skin tight purple body suit adorned with sequins that caught the lights making her shine like a disco ball. Her auburn highlighted brown hair was hanging in loose waves around her shoulders. She completed the outfit with purple heals that made her taller than all of the band had to swallow the excess venom that pooled in her mouth at the sight.
"Second head start…. Run little rabbit run little rabbit run….."
"The chase is the best part." Rosalie along with the rest of the crowd sang back to Bella when she held her microphone towards the crowd.
"Hello Seattle!" Bella said as the band played behind her. "Thanks for coming out tonight. The band and I have put something special together for you so I won't keep you waiting by talking the whole time. I think you already know what the first song is going to be so make sure you sing along as loud as you can. I want to hear everybody. Even you up there in the nose bleed seats!"
The crowd cheered again as Bella continued the song. It was one of Rosalie's favorites and she happily sung along with the rest of the fans. As she watched Bella sing and interact with her back up dancers Rosalie wished that Bella would take her sunglasses off so she could see her eyes. Rosalie desperately wanted to know if they were really the same color green as Isabella's had been or if they were contacts. At the end of the song Sebastian motioned for Bella. Noticing the concerned look on his face Rosalie strained to hear what he was whispering in Bella's ear. Rosalie watched in confusion as both sibling's faces turned to look at Rosalie and her group. After a quick glance Bella turned back to her brother, shook her head and patted him on the shoulder. Although Sebastian looked relieved Bella's smile looked strained.
"Did they just clock us?" Emmett asked.
"I don't know." Edward said.
"What do you mean you don't know?" Rosalie was starting to feel a small amount of panic at the thought of Bella knowing they were vampires.
"I mean I can't read either of their 's like they are blocking my gift somehow." Edward said.
"Has that ever happened before?" Now all attention was on Edward.
Edward shook his head in frustration. "Never and I don't like it one bit. I think we should leave."
"No way." Rosalie wasn't going to leave now. She hadn't gotten her chance to get Bella's attention. She knew it was a dangerous game if Bella was aware they were vampires but Rosalie wasn't going to give up her hope of meeting Bella.
"I'm with Rosalie. Even if they do know it's not like they can do anything about it. Plus we are here for a concert not a fight." Alice hadn't had any visions about a confrontation with Bella or Sebastian. As a matter of fact she didn't have any visions about them at all. Not that she was planning on letting anyone know that. Edward would just use it as proof they were dangerous.
"We're staying." Veronica motioned to a nodding Emmett.
"Yeah I mean it's not like we couldn't take them if it came to a fight. They are just a couple weak humans." Emmett wasn't worried at all. It wasn't like they were going to be meeting Bella or her brother.
"I still think it's too dangerous to stay." Edward grumbled.
Rosalie ignored Edward and turned back to the stage. She was going to enjoy the concert and try to get to get Bella to look her way again. It was in the middle of the second song that Rosalie got her wish for Bella to take off her sunglasses. Bella strutted down the stage stopping towards the middle right in front of their group and tossed them to the crowd.
"Emmett grab them." Alice yelled out.
Emmett jumped and snatched them out of the air earning an elbow to the face from a guy in the seat behind him. "Here you go Alice."
"Here Rosalie." Alice handed the glasses to Rosalie who took them excitedly. "Put them on."
Rosalie didn't hesitate to slip the glasses up Rosalie's breath caught as she saw Bella standing in front of her throwing her a wink before she moved to a different part of the stage. Rosalie had not only just confirmed that Bella's eyes were the same green as Isabella's but that Bella Swan was her mate.
"Rosalie she winked at you! Did you see it?" Alice grabbed onto Rosalie's arm and tugged on it. Noticing that Rosalie wasn't reacting Alice became concerned. "Rosalie what's wrong?"
"She's my mate." Rosalie whispered.
Alice thinking she heard wrong asked. "What did you say?"
"I said that Bella Swan is my mate." Rosalie hadn't taken her eyes off the singer and was willing Bella to walk back her way.
"Oh my god this is so exciting!" Alice finally understood why she felt that it was so urgent for Rosalie to meet Bella. It was her gift's way of telling her they were important to each other.
"What's so exciting?" Veronica noticed Rosalie's shocked expression and was worried for her sister.
"Bella Swan is Rosalie's mate."Alice told her.
"Holy shit!" Emmett exclaimed.
"Yeah holy shit." Alice agreed. "Now we have to figure out a way to get Rosalie backstage to meet her in person."
"Alice stop planning whatever it is you are planning." Rosalie really wanted to get backstage but knew that with Alice's track record whatever she was planning would probably result in Bella getting a restraining order against all of them.
"You're no fun." Alice wasn't deterred by Rosalie's warning though. Bella was Rosalie's mate. That meant fate wanted them to be together. How they got there didn't matter, all that mattered was that they met.
"Alright everybody. We are going to slow things down a bit, give everyone a chance to catch their breath." Bella sat down at a black grand piano and put her microphone in the stand so she could play and sing at the same time. "I want to dedicate this song to all of you vampires with us here tonight."
As Bella began to play the opening chords to Love Song For A Vampire the crowd went wild. Rosalie was mesmerized as she watched Bella play and sing the lyrics. It was at her favorite part that Bella lifted her head and smiled sadly in her direction. It looked as if Bella was in pain as she choked out the lines of losing a rose to winter. If Rosalie had any doubts that the song was about her they had now been silenced. Somehow Bella Swan knew her when she was a human. Rosalie just couldn't figure out how.
"Thank you Seattle." Bella said as she stepped away from the piano. "You have been a great audience tonight and I want you to keep the energy going for Susan's amazing group of women are the newest members of Violet Reflection Records."
The crowd cheered when the band came on stage. Rosalie held back a growl as the lead singer gave Bella a hug and handed her an electric guitar. Her jealously was rearing it's ugly head and when Sebastian kissed Bella's cheek before he went to stand behind a keyboard Rosalie had to remind herself that they were in a arena filled with thousands of humans so that she didn't rush the stage and kill everyone on it.
"Thank you Bella for including us tonight. We are going to start off with a song that Bella actually wrote and recorded with us. Not only was she nice enough to give us this song but she and Sebastian play or sing on all the songs on our new album which Sebastian produced. Our single I'm Not Your Pet is out now and the album of the same name will be released at midnight so make sure you get yourselves a copy. We are Susan's Sundown and this is I'm Not Your Pet."
Rosalie calmed herself down enough to listen to the song and found she liked the women empowerment theme. She had a feeling this was going to be the next girl punk rock the chorus came back a second time Rosalie noticed that she wasn't the only one singing along.
"I wanted a chance
For just one dance
But when he grabbed my butt
He earned a punch to the gut
Then I got in his space
And yelled in his face
I'm not your Pet
I deserve respect"
"This is a great song!" Alice yelled as the crowd was in the middle of chanting the last two lines over and over again with Bella and the band.
"I know right?!" Rosalie had already downloaded it on her phone. Even though she was happy watching Bella preform a part of Rosalie was excited to get home and hear new music from Bella. Even if she was just being featured on the band's album. She couldn't wait for midnight to listen to it. As the last song of the night was played Rosalie and the crowd cheered.
"That's all for tonight folks. I want to thank you for giving up your evening to be with winning numbers for the raffle are on screen now. Have a good night everybody." Bella waved to the crowd as she made her way off stage with Sebastian down the hole both of them had originally came out of.
Rosalie sighed as Bella left the stage. Now that Bella was no longer in sight Rosalie felt a deep yearning to go find her. The problem was she didn't know how to go about it. "Should we leave?"
"No we can't leave until we have tried everything we can to get you backstage." Alice was determined to get Rosalie to Bella.
"How are we going to do that? Should we just fight our way to her?" Emmett liked the idea of getting to punch someone. Even if he would have to hold back on his strength due to them being humans.
"Fighting is not on the menu." Veronica ignored Emmett's pout. "We could hang around the backstage area and try to buy someone's passes."
"I like that idea the best." Rosalie figured if she met the right person they would take the money.
"Wait we aren't leaving?" Lauren didn't want to wait around any longer.
"No Lauren. We are trying to get Rosalie backstage to meet Bella." Alice told her.
"Why would you want meet Bella Swan?" Bella Swan was annoying and Lauren didn't understand why everyone loved her so much.
"Bella is Rosalie's mate. It is only right for her to want to meet her." Veronica said.
"Can't you just like message her on Facebook or something. Then we don't have to wait around." Lauren pouted at Edward. "I want to go home."
"Lauren is right we should go home. Bella and her brother are dangerous and we should stay away from them." Edward was glad he and his mate were on the same page.
"Well if Lauren wants to go home why don't you take her. The rest of us are staying here." Rosalie held back a growl. She wasn't the only one in her family who hated Edward's mate. The girl was self centered and didn't care about anyone but herself. She was a mean girl who put on an act in front of the family and most of them saw through it. Rosalie figured it was the mate bond that made Edward turn a blind eye to the girl's faults because there was no way Lauren's thoughts were innocent and pure.
"Why don't you two go, I'll ride with these guys." Alice wanted to stop any fights before they started. Lauren was notorious for throwing fits and Alice wanted tonight to be about Rosalie meeting her mate.
"Fine." Lauren was already leaving not even waiting for Edward to follow.
"That girl is bad news." Emmett said as they watched the pair walk away.
"She is something alright." Veronica clapped her hands and got back to the subject at hand. "How do we get backstage?"
"Let's make our way to the backstage area and try to buy someone's pass, that's the best way to go about it." Rosalie hoped that someone would be willing to sell to them because the longer she was away from Bella the more anxious she was getting. Following her siblings she tried to tell herself that even if they couldn't meet tonight that she would eventually get her chance. Fate chose Bella to be her mate. It wouldn't keep them apart. Would it?
