"Are we sure this is a good idea?" Didyme asked her mates as they were waiting in the throne room for their daughter and selected members of the guard to join them. Although it was common knowledge amongst the elite guard that Isabella was their daughter others did not know. It was for safety reasons most were not told as Isabella would be the perfect target for anyone who wished to go after the Volturi. It was also because of this that they had dismissed the throne room guards and were only involving four others for this mission.

"It's the only option. However that doesn't mean any of us have to like it." If Sulpicia had her way she would just send the guard to eliminate the vampires and keep Isabella at home.

"I will keep her safe." Athenodora promised. Although she herself was concerned about Isabella's safety, she was also excited to have the chance to fight with her daughter.

"I know you will my love."Athenodora may have been more rough and tumble with Isabella than her other two mothers but Didyme knew she would give her life to protect Isabella.

A knock on the door followed by a door guard entering the room stopped any further discussion."Your majesties those you have summoned are here now."

"Send them in." Sulpicia's tone had changed from a worried mother to that of a monarch as she addressed her subject.

"Yes, my queen." The guard bowed and opened the doors allowing Isabella along with Alec, Heidi, Felix and Dimentri to enter. He left and closed the door when the vampires stood before the queens.

Although Isabella was curious about what she had been called for she knew that it wasn't proper to be disrespectful to her mothers. Along with the other four vampires she bowed. "We have came as you asked your majesties."

"We have a matter that we need to deal with that concerns a mind reader and a seer." Athenodora held back the proud smile as she spoke. She was very impressed with Isabella's manners in front of others.

"It seems that a vampire is creating a newborn army to over throw the animal drinking coven." Sulpicia told them.

Isabella's head shot up. "You mean the Cullens?"

"Yes the Cullens." Sulpicia confirmed.

"Have they asked for our help?" Isabella was now even more interested in what was going on. The Cullens weren't well liked by those in the castle. It wasn't because of their diet it was because during the times they visited the castle they were arrogant and looked down on those who drank human blood. Their leader Carlisle had tried to get an invitation to be a counsel member and live at the castle but the queens had denied both still held a grudge about it.

Athenodora shook her head. "No they haven't. It seems as if they are trying to keep this under wraps and have not informed anyone of the situation."

"It was the Denali that brought this to our attention. They saw all the killings and missing persons in the news and easily connected the dots." Sulpicia explained.

The Denali were well known Volturi loyalist. Most thought it was because the Volturi had killed their sire for breaking the law that they feared the same fate. The real story was that they had personally turned their sire Sasha over for creating the immortal child. The sisters had been disgusted with the destruction and had given thier sire an ultimatum to kill the child or they would do it themselves. After tricking them into believing she was going to eliminate the child Sasha had taken the boy and fled leaving the sisters no other option than to turn her in. They held no grudge against the queens and were actually some of the few who knew about Isabella. Eleazar had been kind enough to help Isabella with her gift and brought his family often to visit. Isabella became so close to all of them that she now considered them her aunts and uncle, so it was of no surprise that they would be the first to warn them of the danger.

"So what is the plan? I assume that you wish for me to go as well as I can negate both the seer and the mind reader." Isabella wasn't that excited about the idea of being that far away from her mothers.

Seeing Isabella's lack of excitement concerning going on this mission soothed some of Sulpicia's worries about Isabella not wanting to come back. "You will not be the only one going. Along with you and the other four here Queen Athenodora will be accompanying you to deal with this problem."

"Truly?" Isabella chastised herself for her outburst. She had better manners than that. "I'm sorry, I'm not questioning your decisions I am simply surprised."

"That is to be expected. We will be leaving when night falls to go to America. Looking at the reports we believe that the newborns will be attacking soon and we want to get there and do recon right after we land. The four of you go pack and meet us at the airfield at sundown. "Athenodora dismissed the rest of the guard leaving only the queens and Isabella.

Didyme stood from her throne and walked to Isabella pulling her into a hug. "I know you have many questions but I want you to know how proud I am of the way you acted in front of the others."

"Of course momma you taught me well." Isabella happily snuggled into Didyme's arms.

"That being said, we wanted to explain what is going on." Didyme said as she released Isabella.

"That would nice." Isabella said.

"The reason we are sending you to deal with this situation is because the coven is going to have to be questioned. Also we don't want them to try to flee if the seer gets a vision of us going to confront them." Sulpicia explained.

"I understand that but why is mother going as well?" Isabella asked. Her mother rarely left the castle so for her to be traveling so far was surprising.

"I am going because you are going." Athenodora cut Isabella off before she had a chance to object. "We all know you can more than take care of yourself. Me going was the condition your other mothers set to let you go."

Isabella threw her arms around Athenodora. "I'm glad. I would rather stay here with all of you but if I have to go then I'm glad you're coming too."

"You won't be gone long sweetheart. I have no doubt that with you and your mother there you will have this all wrapped up in a few hours. Why if you put your minds to it I bet you can be on the plane heading home tomorrow." Sulpicia said trying to sooth the anxiety she could feel coming from Isabella. While she knew their daughter loved them it was nice to see the extent of how much every once in a while.

"Can I at least call you two while we're away?" Isabella asked.

Didyme joined Isabella and Anthenodora in their hug motioning for Sulpicia to join as well. "Oh my sweet girl you never have to ask for permission to call us. We both would enjoy it very much."

"Thank you momma." Isabella sighed as she inhaled the scents of her mothers. "I guess I should go get my stuff together. Should I bring my royal robes or my royal guard robes?"

"I believe it only right that with your mother going you should wear matching robes. You should however keep your face covered with the mask we gave you and talk to no-one." Sulpicia told her.

"I know mom. I wouldn't do anything that could bring danger to any of us." Isabella pushed out of the four person embrace and moved to the entrance next to the thrones that led to the royal wing. "If I don't get a chance to call you I'll at least text you some pictures."

"You are not to leave without coming to say goodbye us." Didyme called after Isabella.

"Are you sure the two of you will be alright?" Sulpicia asked.

"My love I will remind you of your words to Isabella. I have no doubt that this will all be taken care of in a couple hours." Athenodora reassured her.

"Just make sure you keep her safe." Didyme tried to sound stern but her words came out much more like a plea than a demand.

"Of course." Athenodora wasn't insulted that Didyme said that to her. She knew that deep down her mate knew she would keep Isabella safe. It was Didyme's love for Isabella that had her feeling insecure. The only thing that would actually put both Didyme and Sulpicia at ease would be having Isabella home as quickly as possible
