Chapter 32

Callie's P.O.V:

Five more weeks. That's how long we have until our baby arrives. We had our last doctor's appointment yesterday and everything went perfectly. He or she is exactly where they need to be at thirty-five weeks. We still haven't found out the sex yet, so when I went out to get the last-minute things for Arizona's surprise shower, I made sure to get gender neutral colors for the decorations and the cake. Today, I'm having Tedding take Arizona out for a few hours as a distraction so I can get everything set up before they got back.

"So, what are your plans today?" I ask Arizona, walking into the bathroom. She just got out of the shower and was now standing in front of the mirror, wrapped in a towel.

"Teddy wants to get out of the house for a little bit and decided to drag my ass along," she snaps, turning to get a good look at herself, "why do women have to go through this?"

"Through what?" I ask her. I'm really starting to think I may have picked the wrong time to set this whole thing up. With her being five weeks from her due date, she has been in a very crappy mood lately and now I'm beginning to feel like this may not be a great idea after all.

"Pregnancy. I mean, look at this, I have stretch marks on my ass," she spits out.

"I think you look beautiful," I say to her. I wrap my arms around her and place both hands on her stomach. She just rolls her eyes at me, then shrugs me off of her.

"I'm fat, Callie. I mean, look at me, I look like a damn cow," I just let out a sigh.

"I think you look perfect," I say, trying to assure her. I absolutely find her stunning. She looks beautiful pregnant, but no matter how many times I try to tell her that, I always end up getting an eye roll.

"Whatever," she hisses out, "I need to finish getting ready. If not, Teddy will be in any minute and dragging my ass out of here,"

"Okay, well I will let you get to it," I say, placing a kiss on her temple.

A few hours later, things were starting to come together. Teddy and Arizona have been gone for almost three hours now. Before they left, I pulled Teddy aside and told her to give us at least four hours. That way all the guests could be here before they got back. In that time, Tim and I managed to get the living room decorated and all the food set up in the time they had been gone. I wasn't sure if she would be into the whole onesie decorating, but I went ahead and set up a station anyway. After we were finished, Tim and I looked around the room, just to make sure we weren't missing anything.

"This looks great, Callie," Tim says with a smile.

"Looks perfect," I say, agreeing with him. And it does. It looks perfect, "You don't think she will be mad, do you?"

"About a baby shower? Nah, she will love it," he says, "what time are people supposed to be arriving?"

"Here shortly, actually," and right on que, the front door opened and in walked Mark.

"Man, why am I always the first to arrive," Mark states, joining Tim and I in the living room. He stops short when he sees me, then clears his throat, "Callie,"

"Mark," I say with a smirk. He looks at Tim, then down at the floor. I couldn't help but chuckle with how uncomfortable he looks being around me. Tim notices the awkwardness between the two of us.

"What's going on?" Tim asks with a smirk. I just laugh and shake my head.

"Nothing!" we both say together. This is going to be a fun day of torture for him, considering what I had said to him back in July.

"Mark just seems to be, oh I don't know, uncomfortable around me, I guess," I say with a grin.

"Okay, well whatever it is, how about we not let it upset Arizona. She's already been on one lately. Mark, why don't you help me finish up while Callie listens for the door,"

"Fine by me," Mark says. I laugh once more at his behavior towards me as he follows Tim out of the room.

An hour later, everyone who said they'd be here had finally arrived. We all mingled and made small talk until our guest of honor arrived. I got a text from Teddy fifteen minutes ago saying they would be heading back to the house soon. So I gathered everyone into the living and waited for their arrival.

"Are you sure she will be happy about this?" I ask, leaning over to whisper into Tim's ear.

"Don't worry, she will love it," he replies. He bumps my elbow and gives me an assuring smile. A moment later, we hear a car pull up and the engine shuts off.

"Okay, here we go," I announce to everyone. I walk to the front door and peak out the window and saw Teddy coming up the walk.

"She's all yours," Teddy says, as I open the front door for her.

"Perfect. I'll go get her and walk her in," I say, walking out the front door.

Arizona's P.O.V:

Pulling up to the house after spending the last four hours with my sister-in-law, she gets out of the car, looks in at me and smiles.

"Wait here," she says, then makes a beeline for the front door. I sat in my seat and waited just like she had told me to. A moment later, I see Callie walking towards the car and a smile instantly forms on my face.

"Hey beautiful," she greets, opening the car door for me.

"Hey yourself," comes my reply, "I'm glad to see you're still here," she gives me a smile and leans down, placing a soft kiss my forehead.

"Of course, I'm still here. I wanted to be here when you got back. Ready to go inside?"

"YES!" I quickly say. After being out with Teddy the last four hours, I couldn't be happier to be home. My feet were killing me from all the walking we did. Callie helped me out of the car and walks me up to the door.

"Before we go in, I want to let you know that I have a big surprise for you," she says to me.

"Oookay?" I draw out. She smiles at me once more and opens the front door. As we enter the house, I'm caught off guard by everyone shouting "Surprise," I look at Callie who had the biggest smile on her face.

"Surprise babe," she says to me. Surprise? No! It was more like shocked. Glued to the floor, shocked. Callie had gone all out. It looked like our house had vomited many different colors. Since we never we hadn't found out the sex, Callie had gone with colors of green, brown, and yellow. The decorations she had picked out had baby monkey's and many different colored flowers.

"What did you do?" I squeak out. I was trying to keep my emotions at bay, but with the mixture of hormones and Callie's amazing gesture, it just got the best of me.

"We threw you baby shower," she says.

"We?"

"Teddy and I. Tim even helped. He and I had set up everything up while you and Teddy were out. You hate it, don't you?"

"N-No, I don't hate it. I'm just…shocked is all. You didn't really have to, Calliope,"

"I wanted to," she says, smiling, which I instantly return. She grabs my hand and pulls me further into the house. "You hungry? There's plenty of food,"

"I could probably eat a little bit," I tell her. She ushers me to one of the tables out on the patio, then goes back into the house to make us both a plate. After we both have eaten, we began playing games portion. Teddy had brought out baby food jars without any labels. Teddy went over the rules of the game. Callie and I had to guess from observation of what food was in each jar. Callie was able to get most of them. But I was only able to identify the bananas and the plums. I just hoped that my failure at baby food identification didn't portend anything awful about my mothering abilities. The next game was one in which everyone was asked to write down suggestions for baby names. Callie and I even wrote down some suggestions that we had liked the most. We also wrote down names for the baby could call his/her aunt and Uncle. Once we wrote down our names, we shared them aloud, and anyone who had the greatest number of names matching mine received a small gift.

After an hour of playing baby games, Teddy suggested we opened the gifts. So, Tim and Mark rearranged the chairs for everyone to sit around Callie and I. We had received more gifts for our little bundle than what we could ever imagine. I never seen so many neutral colors in my life. It's like our living room had vomited green, brown, and yellow. We definitely had plenty of clothes ranging from 0-6 months for our little one and that's counting the stuff we had already gotten.

After another hour of fun, the party was finally starting finally starting to wind down. Which made me kind of happy because I was starting to get tired. Callie and Teddy managed to get everything cleaned up. When I tried to help, Callie just shooed me away. She said that her and Teddy can manage it and that I needed to relax. Once they were done, the three of us lounged in the living room. Mark and Tim hung out on the patio. I noticed earlier that Mark never said a single word to Callie which got me to wonder.

"I had a lot of fun today," I say, trying to snuggle deeper into Callie. She put arm around my shoulder and pulled me more into her.

"Yeah, today was great," she says, letting out a content sigh, but I do have one more gift for you," I look up at her with a confused look.

"But we already opened everything," I say.

"Not everything. My sister Aria is a photographer and when I told her she was going to be an aunt, she went nuts. She even wants to do a maternity photoshoot for us in a few weeks when she gets back from London,"

"What?" I say surprisingly, "she does?"

"Yeah, she does," Callie says with a smile, "so, what do you say?"

"I think it's great," I say, smiling.

"Great! I will let her know that it's a go then. In the meantime, I'm going to take the gifts to your bedroom,"

"You don't have to, Calliope. I can get those later," I tell her, she just shrugs and gives me a warm smile.

"It's okay. I got it. Besides, I can always get Mark and Tim to help. Give them something to do besides bullshit around outside," she says with a laugh. She got up from her spot on the couch and walked over to the door. But I just grab her hand to keep her from leaving.

"Why you so you good to me?" I ask her, placing a kiss on her lips.

"Because I love you," she says. I look over at Teddy, who was watching our little interaction. She smiles and gives me a slight nod. I turn my attention back to Callie and smile.

"I love you too," I say to her, then connect our lips once more.

*Sorry it took so long. My schedule lately has been insane. But here you are. Arizona finally said it. Let me know what you think *
