According to TheSparklyKitten, I need to slow down with Moving Too Fast and write other things. Specifically, that I should work on other stories I have already started publishing. And she's right! But I think I'm gonna start some new stuff :)

However, I'll let Moving Too Fast rest for a while, hop back into some other stories and maybe post some more BH6 one-shots as well as stuff for other fandoms.

Enjoy!

Khary was very, very excited about rehearsal that Friday. Other than the fact that two of the guys he loved most in the world -Dion and Luca- were killing it on stage, something else was making him giddy. After they got done rehearsing A Raisin In The Sun all three of them would head over to the Tomago house and Dion would get to properly meet a significant portion of Khary's family.

There was no doubt in Khary's mind that everyone would love Dion. He knew that Wasabi and GoGo were always going to be protective of him but Dion was a charming guy who could win over even the most overprotective of older brothers. He'd met Damon almost by accident and the two had hit it off immediately, exchanging stories about trying to hide obvious queerness from disapproving parents. Khary wished his own parents had come around the way Dion's had in time. Mr. and Mrs. Foster had been lovely when he'd met them, despite the bigotry in their past. Khary knew tonight was bound to be even better.

When they got to the house and Luca unlocked the door, Khary was overflowing with excitement.

"Hey, guys! I have someone I want you to meet!" Reese was the first to greet them, eying Dion critically, not sure what she thought about her Uncle's new guy just yet.

"You must be Reese. I've heard so much about you. I love your nails!"

"Oh," Reese was a little shy now, "Thank you."

"Luca told me about your basketball camp, very impressive. The high school team is going to be very lucky to have you in a few years."

"Dion teaches Drama at the high school," Khary explained, proudly wrapping an arm around Dion who reciprocated.

"You really think I'll make it on the high school team?" Reese asked.

"Oh for sure. They're always looking for star power."

By that time, Reese was beaming and GoGo and Wasabi had approached, though Scout hung back, feeling ostracized.

"Khary's told us a lot about you too," Wasabi said, holding out his hand. Dion instead chose to wrap Wasabi up in a quick hug, which was certainly a surprise but not an unwelcome one.

"All good things, I hope," Dion grinned as he pulled away.

"A non-stop stream of puppy love," GoGo said with a smile, though she passed on the hug.

"Well, he talks pretty non-stop about how awesome you guys are too."

GoGo raised an eyebrow at the pair, "Really?" Her arms were folded over her stomach.

Khary looked sheepish, "You guys helped me through a really tough time."

Feeling invisible on the stairs, Scout snorted. Luca glanced over and Scout forced a smile. Luca really didn't want to invade Scout's privacy, especially since they'd just started really hanging out again. In the mornings, when Reese was doing her basketball thing, Scout had been teaching Luca how to lift weights. Luca had seen the thing his dad did -and was doing now- where he crushed Khary in a hug so huge Khary was lifted off the ground. Luca really wanted to be able to carry his own baby brother for years and years to come.

"So, I hope you like lasagna," Wasabi said as he waved everyone over to the table.

"I love it. Khary told me you were an excellent cook, Wesley."

Wasabi paused, "Oh, you can call me Wasabi if you want. All of my friends do. And Scout helped a lot with the lasagna."

Dion looked across the table and Scout lowered his head, feeling embarrassed.

"Well, it looks like you did a wonderful job, Scout."

"Thank you, sir."

"You're going into high school, right?"

"Yes sir."

"I'll let you in on a secret, we're putting on a production of Matilda the Musical in the fall, you're more than welcome to audition."

"Oh, I haven't heard that one. Which is surprising, since Luca is on a crusade to force every musical that's ever existed down my throat."

"Not every musical," Luca protested, "I don't even like Urinetown."

"Urine what?" Scout asked, eyes boggling.

"You don't even want to know," Luca said.

Reese snickered, "It's not that bad."

"Well, Matilda is nothing like Urinetown, and we always love fresh faces in the drama department," Dion assured.

"Thank you, sir. I don't know if I'm much of an actor, though."

"If you're anything like your brother, I'm sure you'll be great." He meant Luca and it was a nice sentiment but Dion didn't realize why an uncomfortable silence fell over the table.

GoGo took over the conversation before there could be too much of a lull, "It's nice to have another teacher in the family, Dion." And soon the conversation drifted and only Scout and Khary were left thinking about Andrew and the mess he had left behind.

Wasabi was thinking about something else entirely.

"Khary, come do the dishes with me? I want to talk to you in private."

Since there wasn't much privacy in between the kitchen and the living room, GoGo offered to show Dion the nursery (and subsequently interrogate him about his intentions with her brother-in-law) and the kids went down to Scout's room to play videogames.

"What's up. Is it about Dion? Do… Do you like him?"

"Dion seems wonderful. And I do have some questions about him, but this is about mom."

Khary nearly dropped a plate, "What about mom?"

Wasabi sighed, running the water scalding hot, "I think she's stalking Reese. The other day when I picked the girls up from practice Deborah was sitting nearby watching them. She left when she saw me arrive but she knew exactly what she was doing." Wasabi was both furious and afraid and Khary looked genuinely nervous.

"Wes…"

"What?"

"I thought it was an unrelated incident but she showed up at the first rehearsal that Luca went to."

"That's it. If she's stalking my kids I'm going to put her in her place. This family has been through enough, I'm not going to have her endangering Reese, Luca, Scout, or Baby Elliott."

"Do you want back up?" Khary asked, blaming himself entirely for the fact Deborah Ginger knew that the Tomagos were in San Fransokyo.

Wasabi nodded, "We'll go after we finish these."

"Maybe we should talk to dad," Khary suggested.

"Yeah, that seems less scary…"

Khary was always surprised to find that Wasabi was afraid of their parents. It had been bad for all of them, it had been the worst for Wasabi. And now he felt like his kids were under attack, and that scared him even more.

"GoGo and Dion will want to know what we're doing," Khary pointed out.

"Yeah, but I don't want to worry them too much. GoGo has had enough stress, I want the rest of her pregnancy to be very relaxing."

"GoGo? Relaxing?" Khary couldn't help laughing.

"She's getting better about it. She wants Baby Elliott to be safe and healthy too. She did crawl out onto the roof a few weeks ago, but I think she'd do worse if she knew about what Deborah has been doing."

"You're going to have to tell her eventually."

"I'll tell her about the problem after we deal with it." Wasabi wrung out the washcloth and began to clean the empty sink.

"So what're we going to tell them now?"

"You and I have some errands to run."

It was doubtful that GoGo bought Wasabi's line. Dion didn't question it, however, kissing Khary goodbye and heading home himself.

"Alright, I'll drive and you call dad and figure out where we can meet him. I'm not setting foot in that hell house," Wasabi said.

"Right," Khary agreed, dialing up Aaron Ginger. After a minute of quiet talking, Khary turned toward Wasabi, looking haunted, "Wes, dad's in the hospital."

Wasabi hated hospitals. Technically there was nothing cleaner than a hospital but he always felt gross when he walked through one. He preferred the Tadashi Hamada Clinic, though any sort of doctor put him a teensy bit on edge. Not to mention being back at a hospital with Khary only reminded him of the monstrous entity that still haunted some of Wasabi's dreams.

Before they could track down Aaron in the twisting labyrinth of corridors, Wasabi stopped Khary, "Does Dion know?"

"About mom and dad? Yeah."

"Does he know about Andrew?"

Khary took a deep breath, "He doesn't know all of it, he doesn't know how Scout was involved. I didn't think Scout would want any pity, but I probably should have said something…"

"I'm glad you were able to talk to him about some of it, at least."

"I really love him, Wes. I don't want to keep secrets from him and it still affects me so much, I had to tell him."

"I'm really, really happy that you've found someone that makes you feel like that. Dion seems like a really great guy and I support you 100%."

After getting turned around several times, the brothers finally found Aaron's room. He was a sight, thin and weak, his eyes lighting up in surprise when he saw his two youngest. Damon hadn't visited either.

"Wesley, Khary, it's so good to see you." Aaron sounded very tired but his smile was eager. He wanted to see them. After years and years of always being too busy to properly parent his children, he suddenly had more time than he knew what to do with. More time and yet not enough.

"Hi," Wasabi said, not quite able to match the warmth of his father's greeting, though he felt something inexplicably tender when he sank down into the chair next to the sickly man.

"What brings you here?"

"Deborah."

"Oh. She isn't here, is she?" The name seemed to age Aaron further and he let out a tired sigh.

"Not that I know of. Apparently, she's been using her time to stalk my children." Wasabi couldn't hide his anger, clenching his jaw and his fists.

Aaron's eyes widened, "Wes, I'm so sorry. That's out of line. I didn't know, I-"

"It's not your fault. Just talk to her. Tell her I will press charges if this continues."

Aaron nodded, "I will." He seemed like he wanted to say more.

Wasabi hesitated before he left, "Hey, dad?"

"Yes?" Aaron's head snapped up rather quickly.

"GoGo and I are having another kid. A little boy. I just thought you should know." Aaron's health was clearly failing. He'd hardly met the twins, he wouldn't meet Baby Elliott.

"Congratulations, Wes. I'm sure you'll continue to be an excellent parent." There was so much left unsaid, conversations and apologies that would never happen.

"Thank you. Don't mention the baby when you talk to Deborah. I don't want her harassing my family any more than she already has."

"I won't say a word," Aaron promised, and as Wasabi and Khary turned to leave he called out, "Khary?"

Khary turned around and Wasabi put a comforting hand on his arm, "Yeah?"

"Your mom told me about… Your partner. I hope that works out." Aaron's smile attempted to be supportive but both father and son seemed a little uncomfortable.

"Yeah, thanks. I think I'll probably end up marrying him." Khary chose those words intentionally and watched the smile momentarily drop from Aaron's mouth.

"That's nice. Thank you for visiting. You're all welcome to drop by any time." They all knew that that wouldn't happen.

Wasabi let out a pained laugh when they got back to the car, "Khary, you almost killed him."

"If two men getting married is enough to kill him it's definitely not my fault."

"That was exhausting," Wasabi said after a minute, "Do you want to get coffee?"

"Absolutely. I didn't know he'd be so bad off…"

"Yeah. Thanks for coming, Khary. It would've been really hard to face that alone."

"You're welcome, I know you would've done the same for me."

"Any time, dude." They went through a drive-thru for strong coffees, Wasabi remembering when Khary had only taken it with cream and sugar, and then they parked and let the stress of the evening roll off of them.

"Luca and Reese will be okay," Khary promised, "dad's going to talk to her and she'll stop."

"Yeah," Wasabi didn't fully believe that Deborah could be stopped, but after that warning, he wouldn't be pulling any punches.

Please tell me you guys thought that maybe the old lady was Deborah
