Chapter 48

Arizona's P.O.V:

March was finally here. The days were finally starting to get warmer and the snow that we had gotten that ruined our Valentine's Day had completely melted away. Calliope and I are three days away from saying 'I Do'. We decided that we didn't want anything too big. Just a traditional exchanging of the vows at City Hall with my brother and Teddy as our witnesses. Teddy even agreed to take Noah for two nights so we could have some alone time. Just the two of us. It wasn't ideal, but it was necessary considering it was short notice for all of us and the fact that my brother would be taking off to boot camp that following Monday. I'm still unhappy with his decision, but as Callie pointed out, he was a grown man and wanted to do what was best for him and his family. So, I was forced to put on a happy smile and go along with it.

"Arizona, I'm home," I hear Callie call out.

"I'm in the nursery," I shout out, "Mama's home, NoNo," He flashes me his own little Robbins smile and lets out a loud squeal. I just laugh as I finish getting him dressed for the night.

"Hey," Callie says, entering the nursey, a bright smile on her face.

"Hey, how was your day?" I ask, fastening the last button on his onesie.

"It was good. I talked to Doug; everything is squared away for Friday and this weekend. He's going to cover the days, as well as Monday since we have to be at the airport to drop Tim off, but he said that he will make sure everything gets covered,"

"Good. Is he disappointed that he won't be there?" I ask her, lifting Noah off the changing table and handing him to her.

"A little bit, but he understands," she says.

"You know, we could still have a little party, like a small gathering that same night. Then just do something at a later time,"

"No, it's okay. We agreed on something small," she says.

"Okay, well, tell him I'm sorry and that we will make it up to him," I tell her.

"So, did you get yourself anything to wear for next week?" she asks, as we leave the nursery.

"Not yet. I've been preoccupied with Noah today. I think he's teething because he's been wanting to cuddle all day,"

"Okay, well try and go tomorrow. We're getting married in three days and don't want you showing up at City Hall naked," she jokes, "I mean, I wouldn't mind, but I'd rather not have anyone else see my soon to be wife naked," I just laugh at her, then make myself comfortable on the couch, then Callie taking the seat next to me.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" I ask, a little bit of seriousness in my voice. She gets Noah situated on her lap and then looks at me.

"I'm most definitely sure," she says, leaning over, placing a kiss on my cheek, "you're not having second thoughts, are you?"

"What? No. Not I'm not having second thoughts. I just…" I shrug.

"Just what?"

"I just never thought I'd ever get married as young as I am, that's all. Teddy got married over a year ago. I just told myself that I wouldn't do that,"

"Arizona, if you don't want to do this, we don't have to," she says to me.

"No, I want to, Calliope. I really do. I want to be your wife," I say, assuring her. I give her a shy smile, then lean in, connecting her lips with mine.

The days flew by without warning and before we knew it, Friday was upon us. Calliope and I were getting married in just a few short hours and I couldn't be more excited.

"You ready for today?"Teddy asks. She called me up this morning to make sure I was up and around for us to go and get our hair done.

"Yes, Teddy, I'm ready for today," I say with a chuckle, "I'm more than ready,"

"Good, because I'm outside your door,"she chuckles into the phone.

"What do you mean, you're outside my door?" I ask her, furrowing my brow in confusion.

"Just as I said, now let me in," she orders. I hang up the phone and walk over to the door. When I open it, sure enough, she was standing outside just like she said she was.

"It's 7:30, why are you here so early?" I ask her.

"Just wanted to make sure you were actually up and not sleeping the morning away on your wedding day," I just roll my eyes at her.

"Stop rolling your eyes at me and let me in," she barks. I step aside for her to come in, "coffee ready?"

"It's brewing right now, but you shouldn't be drinking coffee,"

"Yeah, yeah," she says, waving her hand at me, "the baby loves coffee. where's Callie and Noah?"

"They're in the nursery," I answer her. I walk into the kitchen and pull three coffee mugs out of the cabinet and set them next to the coffee maker.

"Our appointment is at 8:30. It's at the house,"

"Oh, so she's a traveling hairstylist?"

"It's Meredith, so of course she is," she says, "by the way, Tim and I talked, and we decided we want to take you and Callie out to eat after the ceremony,"

"Teddy, it's supposed to be simple," I whine, stomping my foot like a child, "and since when does Meredith do hair?"

"It is simple, it's our way of celebrating the fact that you're tying the knot,"

"Whatever," I say.

It was a little after 10 when Teddy finally dropped me back off at the apartment. As I entered our home, Callie and Noah were nowhere to be found.

"Callie?" I shout, walking further into the apartment.

"In the nursey," I hear her call out. I walk into our son's room. She turns to look at me, with Noah in her arms. As soon as I saw both her and Noah, I couldn't help but smile. They both had on matching blue shirts, pants, and black ties. Callie never really liked wearing women's clothes, so I told her to just wear a shirt and a tie if she wanted to.

"How do we look, Mommy?" Callie asks me.

"Wow, you both look amazing," I tell her. "You look so handsome, Mister." I leaned in, placing a kiss on our 6-month-olds head.

"What about me!" Callie states, her face turning into a pout. I couldn't help but laugh at her child-like tactics.

"You will get yours later," I joke. Taking Noah from her, I asked, "We ready to go? Teddy and Tim are going to meet us there,"

"Definitely." She answers quickly, grabbing the diaper bag from the changing table. After locking up, we made our way down to the car.

Thirty minutes later, the five of us were sitting outside the courtroom, waiting to be called in. It only took us fifteen minutes to obtain our marriage license. Now we're just waiting for the judge to call us in so we can legally become wife and wife. As we waited, I couldn't help but shift nervously in my seat.

"Are you okay?" Callie asks, noticing.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I lie. I was really nervous about us getting married. I never pictured myself married at 19.

"Are you sure? If you're really that nervous about this, we don't have to do it,"

"I'm fine, babe." She raised her brow at me. "Really, I'm fine."

"Okay, if, you're sure," She turns her attention back to Noah. "I think, Mommy is a little nervous, Bud," she tells him, bouncing him on her knee. He just gave her a dimpled smile.

"Okay, maybe I am a little nervous," I admit, "I just never pictured myself married so young. I mean, after this, we are legally bound to each other."

"Well, we would have been anyway. We do have Noah," she tells me, bouncing him on her knee once more. "Arizona, if you don't want to do this today, we can wait."

"No, No," I tell her, "I want to. I want to become your wife,"

"Are you sure?"

"I'm positive," I tell her, leaning over placing a kiss on her lips, "They just need to hurry up,"

A moment later, our names were finally called.

"Robbins, Torres. Follow me please," The man dressed in a suit says to us. We stand up and follow him into the courtroom, "The judge will see you now." Tim and Teddy smile at us as we all pile into the courtroom.

"Good afternoon, ladies," The judge greets us, walking into the room. "It says here that you are wanting to get married today? Am I right?"

"Yes, Your honor," Callie states.

"Okay, well in that case, I'll need the marriage license, as well as your I.d's please." After Callie pulls out her I.D, I hand Noah to Teddy so I could retrieve mine from my wallet. The man who escorted us into the room, walked over and collected our items, then handed them to the judge.

"Alright, Ladies, shall we begin?" He asks. We both shook our heads with smiles on both of our faces, "Alright, here go. Ladies, please turn to face each other, then join hands," Doing what the judge told us to, Callie and I turned to face each other and joined our hands together.

"Calliope Torres, do take Arizona Robbins to be your lawfully wedded wife? If so, please say I DO"

"I do," Callie says, with a huge smile.

"Do you, Arizona Robbins, take Callie to be your lawfully wedded wife? If so, please say I DO."

"I do," I say, flashing her a dimpled smile.

"Do you have rings you want to exchange?" We both shook our heads.

"Yes, we do, your honor," Callie says.

"Alright, Callie, place the ring on Arizona's finger, and please repeat after me," Callie took the ring from Tim and placed it on my finger, "I give you this ring, as a visible and constant symbol of my promise to be with you as long as I live,"

With a huge smile on her face, Callie repeated the judge's words he had just spoken.

"Okay, Arizona, your turn, place the ring on Callie's finger and repeat after me," He states. I take the ring from Teddy and repeated the same thing Callie had spoken to me. Once our rings had been exchanged, we finally heard the famous words, "With that, on this day, I, Judge Dawkins, recognize the union of marriage between Calliope Torres and Arizona Robbins. It's with great pleasure and the power vested in me by the good state of Washington, that I pronounce the two of you, wife, and wife. Congratulations," He says, with a warm smile, "Now ladies, I'll need you each to sign these please," he says, placing our marriage license in front of us to sign. After we all signed the license, he then placed the marriage certificate in front of us to sign, then had Teddy and Tim sign as well. After everything was completed, he dismissed us and called in the next couple.

Taking Noah from Teddy, we all walked out of the courtroom.

"We did it," Callie states, "We're now married."

I couldn't help but smile. "I know, it's amazing,"

"Can I get a picture of the three of you?" Tim asks, holding up his camera. Callie and I stand together, with Noah in front of us so Tim could get a picture.

"Now we go have dinner to celebrate," Teddy says, once the last picture was taken.

"Sounds great, but how about Callie kisses her wife first," I couldn't help but smile as Callie leaned in and placed a kiss on my lips. "Okay, now we can go." With Noah on my hip, I grabbed Callie's hand and the five of us made our way out to our cars.

*They did it :) Hope you liked the chapter. More updates to come. *
