"I'm gonna go to the bathroom guys." Hayama Hayato interrupts the discussion to announce his departure. The said blonde gave our resident loner a knowing look. 'Hikitani-kun, do your thing.' Hayama thought.

Hachiman, who was already observing them, just raised his eyebrows to acknowledge Hayama. Turning back to the clique, he observed a striking detail once Hayama left. 'Those three mentioned in the mail weren't really talking to each other. I guess they're not friends with each other, but they're just there because of Hayama.' Hachiman thought.

Meanwhile, Yui was talking to Yumiko and their other female friend, Ebina Hina. "Did you guy notice something strange when Hayato came out?" Asked the pinkette. "What are you saying Yui? They don't seem different to me." Yumiko replied with indifference, for she is busy playing with her phone. Ebina was just silently reading one of her mangas.

Hayama came back a few minutes later, to which the atmosphere of their clique began to lighten again. 'So Hayama's really the glue of this group huh?' Hachiman thought. 'If I am one of them, I'd hate to be in that group. They're just there for superficial stuff." The fish eyed thought. 'Like I am much better, the only person I could call a friend wasn't even trusting me.' He glanced towards Saki, who was also staring at him.

Dead eyes met purple.

Purple averted first, leaving the dead eyed teen to question the strange behavior of the girl. The bell rang not long after, and the classes flew by. Hachiman can't help but glance around the room in boredom. 'Saki's acting like a kid, Yumi's playing with her phone, and Yuigahama is outright sleeping.' Hachiman noticed.

Not long after, the bell rang, which signals the end of classes. Hachiman stood up and left the room. 'Might as well wait for Yuigahama.' Deciding that it was not worth the trouble, he waited for the pinkette. He didn't have to wait for long, as the pinkette ran towards him. "Hikki! You waited for me this time!" Yui smiled at him.

"You told me to wait for you right?"

"Yeah! Let's go to the club, Hikki!" Hachiman was thankful that the pinkette didn't drag him this time. "So, Hikki, I've asked Yumiko and Hina about the incident." Yui broke the silence. "But they like don't care about it you know? Yumiko was not interested to talk about it, and Hina was not even answering my questions." The pinkette pouted. "How about you Hikki, did you find anything peculiar?"

"Yes I did."

"So? What did you find out?!" Yui excitedly asked, raising her voice causing Hachiman to cover his ears. "Geez woman, calm down. You're going to make me deaf." The teen complains. "Well, let's just walk quicker so I could explain it in one go." Yui wanted the teen beside her to talk more, but she couldn't find a topic he would be interested about.

When they reached the clubroom, Hachiman and Yui noticed the tense atmosphere inside. 'It's summer but the atmosphere inside the room is chilling. Truly, Yukinoshita Yukino deserved to be called the Ice Queen.' Hachiman thought. "Good afternoon, Yukinoshita-san, Hayama." Announced the raven haired teen. This prompted Yukino to stop emitting her cold aura and the temperature inside the room turned normal. "Yahallo Yukinon, Hayato!" as usual, Yui glomped her Yukinon.

"Yuigahama-san, please stop hugging me." And as usual, Yukino complained.

"So…" Hayama started to speak in a serious tone. "What did you guys find out earlier?" Like a businessman who is not fooling around, Hayama went straight to the point. Yui, knowing that she found nothing, was just silent.

"Well two things." Hachiman raised his index and middle finger. "The first one is that the three of them are just mutual." Looking at the confused faces inside the room, Hachiman continued to elaborate. "What I meant by that is that they're just there because you are there." The fish eyed pointed to the blond. "So when you're not around, the three of them doesn't see any reason to talk to each other."

"So in other words, Hayama-kun here is their common denominator." Yukino summarizes. "What about the other thing you noticed?" Yukino asked the raven haired teen. When Hachiman turned to face her, Yukino flinched once again, looking away from the teen and focusing on the setting sun.

"I think I know the reason why the chain mail was spreading."

"Go ahead, tell us."

"There are four of you guys, but the they're targeting one of the three." Hachiman started. "Is there something taking place that will require three people?" Asked the fish eyed teen. Yui, who suddenly remembered something, quickly exclaims. "Ah! It's the workplace visit!" The pinkette even clapped. "Hiratsuka-sensei wants us to form groups of three for that!"

"Why would that matter?" Yukino questions. "It's not like you guys will be visiting a different workplace."

"It matters to them." Hachiman answers. "Being left out would be hard for them." The raven haired teen continues. "Do you want to know how to solve this chain mail problem?" Asked Hachiman. The blond who was silent nodded in agreement. "One person would be left behind right? What if you were that person?"

"What does that mean, Hikitani-kun?" Asked Hayama, clearly not getting what Hachiman is pointing at. "You want me to group up with other people so they can group themselves?"

"Bingo." Hachiman answers. "I'm sure that once you do it, it will kill both of your problems. The chain mail incident would stop, assuming that one of them was the culprit." Hachiman pauses. "And the three of them would actually become friends, or at least they would try to."

"Are you sure that would work? Your method doesn't seem it would succeed." Yukino questioned the efficiency of his method. "Maybe we should take a different approach to this."

"No." Hachiman interjects. "There's no alternative for this one, trust me." Yukino, seeing an opening for a quip, quickly fired one. "I don't think anyone would trust a creepy eyed person like you. Your eyes would scare them."

"Then they're not a good judge of character." Hachiman answers. "Being superficial is one of the things I hate the most. If you don't like me just because of my eyes, then it's better that way." Yukino was prepared for a quip, not a serious reply. Even Yui, who was used to the two of them having a verbal spar, wasn't prepared for it. "Besides, Hayama just wanted to know the reason for the chain mails. It is still up to him if he will follow it or not."

"Thank you for the suggestion Hikitani-kun. I'll think about it." Hayama left the room, leaving the three in uncomfortable silence. The silence continued until the club time ended, with Hachiman leaving ten minutes earlier as usual. After Hachiman left, Yui was the one who spoke first.

"Yukinon, don't you find it strange?" The pinkette questions the ravenette. "Hikki always leave ten minutes before the club ends." Yukino, who was reading a book, closed it to answer the pinkette. "What Hikigaya-kun do with his time is out of our jurisdiction, Yuigahama-san."

"But aren't you curious Yukinon?" Yui speaks again. "Maybe Hikki is doing something behind our backs. He might be doing something bad!" Yui exclaims. "Maybe he is meeting someone, that's why he leaves earlier than supposed to!" If Yukino wasn't interested before, she was interested now.

"Are you saying that Hikigaya-kun is meeting someone behind our backs?" Yukino questions. "I don't think he would be doing that."

"Maybe Hikki meets his girlfriend or something!" Yukino noticed that Yui's voiced deepened when she mentioned the word girlfriend. "Come on Yukinon, aren't you curious? Should we try to follow him some time?"

"I don't think that would be a good idea Yuigahama-san. Besides, who cares if Hikigaya-kun has a girlfriend?" Yukino strongly believed that the dead eyed loner didn't have any girlfriend.

Meanwhile, with Hachiman, he just reached his favorite reading spot. "Good afternoon, Fuyume-san."

Dead eyes met blue.

Thank you for your suggestion Hikitani-kun. The messages stopped. Hachiman read the message of Hayama. 'How the hell did Hayama manage to obtain my number?' He thought. He read another message, which came from his little sister. Onii-chan! Taishi-kun managed to find a clue about Saki-nee-san's workplace! Come to the Boston Crab Café!

When Hachiman reached the said place, he saw Yukino and Yui, sitting opposite his little sister and Taishi. "Yahallo Hikki!" Yui waved to him. "Komachi-chan says that Taishi-kun knows something about Saki's workplace!"

They all looked to Taishi, who became shy. "W-well, I saw a pamphlet of it when I checked Nee-san's room. The pamphlet is named Grand Order."

"Grand Order? That sounds high class." Hachiman points out. "Maybe Saki is working as a server or something?"

"That's the most likely outcome." Yukino said as she sipped from her cup of tea. "A quick search on the internet reveals that this place is located on top of APA Hotel in Makuhari."

"That's quite far from here." Taishi speaks out. "Please do something about it, Nii-san! All of us are worried for Nee-san's safety." Saki's little brother even bowed to Hachiman. "Of course Onii-chan will do something about it! My Onii-chan's the best!" Komachi proudly said. Yukino and Yui noticed the smile Hachiman had and muttered something.

"Sis-con."

"So, should we do this tonight or you guys have other plans?" Hachiman asked his clubmates. "The sooner we confront her about it, the sooner this will be done. So if you guys are available tonight, then maybe we could pay her a visit."

"Let's go later!" Yui answers happily. "Though I don't have something to wear for the occasion." She deflated after speaking. "Maybe I can find one that'll fit to you, Yuigahama-san." Yukino assured the pinkette. The said pinkette beamed Yukino a thousand-watt smile as she hugged the ravenette. "Thank you Yukinon! You're the best!"

"Then I'll meet you guys on the entrance of APA Hotel." Hachiman stands up and grabs bills to pay for the quartet. "I'll have to go and grab a nice pair of suit and tie for myself. Here's 5000 yen, go ahead and grab whatever you like."

Once the night came, Hachiman took the train to Mihama Ward. 'I better thank Fuyume-san when I meet her next time. This suit not only looks good, it also feels good.' He thought. Yukino's mother was the one that helped him pick up a nice set of suit and tie.

The walk towards APA was slow, and when he reached the entrance of the hotel, he saw his two club mates. Yukino was wearing a black dress and tied her hair in a ponytail, while Yui was wearing a red dress that has a pink ribbon in the middle. Her hair was also tied up. 'Both of them look nice.' Hachiman observed. Yukino noticed the raven haired young man first. "Ara, you clean up nicely, Hikigaya-kun."

"Hikki! You look like a mobster!"

"Thanks." Replied Hachiman. "You two look nice tonight." This made the girls blush. Not wanting to waste more time, Hachiman then asked the two. "So… are you guys ready to go?"

"Sure."

"Yeah Hikki, let's go!" The three of them took the elevator. Inside, Yui was busy sneaking up glances to her male club mate. 'Hikki looks so cool! I wish he wears something like this more often.' "Is there something on my face, Yuigahama-san?" Hachiman noticed the stare of the pinkette. Said pinkette quickly turned away to admire the elevator's ceiling.

The three exited the elevator, and reached the entrance of the bar. 'Damn, "Grand" is really their selling point huh.' Hachiman observed. As they entered, he noticed the nametags of the bouncers in front of the club. 'Archer, Lancer? What's with their names?' The inside of the bar was more grandiose than the entrance. The inside of the bar was full, with many rich guys that are either drunk of getting themselves drunk.

"Good evening." A blonde woman came up to the three. "Do you want to sit on a separate table?" Hachiman looked at the name tag, and was even more confused. 'Ruler? What kind of alias is that?' "No, we'll sit on the bar right there." Hachiman points towards the bar. He saw Saki tending to it and decided to sit right there. "Very well." The blonde spoke. "Please enjoy the evening." The three walked towards the bar and sat right in front of Saki, who was cleaning beer mugs.

"What do you guys want?" Saki asked the three. The silverette noticed Hachiman the moment he entered the place. "Give the two of them water. I'll have some…" He observed the names of the drinks. "Chaldea, if you please may." Saki, went ahead and gave the three of them water. "I don't serve minors." Was Saki's reply when she saw Hachiman's eyebrow lift.

"And minors are not allowed to work at night." Yukino responded. "What if we told the owner here that you lied about your age to work here?" Saki's eyes narrowed. She stopped wiping the mugs and looked into the ravenette's eyes. "Listen to me. What could you possibly understand with my situation?" Saki was livid. "You don't have to work for a single day of your life, because you already have the money to do anything you ever wanted."

Yukino became upset and stood up. "Just because my family's rich doesn't mean I don't work to get something I want." Yui also stood up. "You don't know me, Kawasaki-san. Don't assume things about me." Her piece of mind already stated, Yukino left the place. Yui, worried about her Yukinon, quickly followed the upset ravenette.

"You didn't have to be that harsh on her." Hachiman decided to speak. "Also, where's the Chaldea that I ordered?" Saki looked at him weirdly. "Didn't I tell you that I don't serve minors?" Hachiman swatted down a bill to cut stop her from speaking more. "Give. Me. That. Chaldea." The dead eyed loner even glared at the silverette. The said silverette got scared and hurriedly mixed the said cocktail.

"Hello there Mister." A sultry voice speaks out. "You seem to be alone tonight, do you want some company?" Hachiman observed the woman speaking to him. She had the same silver hair as Saki, but she was wearing a suit. Then, he saw the nameplate of the woman. 'Avenger? She looked like that Ruler person earlier. Maybe they're the same person?' "Are you by chance that Ruler person that is on the entrance?" Avenger just laughed it off. "No, that's my twin right over there." Pointed the silverette to the entrance.

"I'm sorry for mistaking you as your sister." Hachiman bowed. Avenger just laughed again. "It's fine, we always get mixed up." The staff replied. "Even our names are similar."

"Really?"

"Yeah, really." The silver haired woman replied. "My twin's name is Jeanne, while mine is Jean." She explained. "We used to have the same hair color, I just dyed mine so it would be easier to distinguish who is who. You could say I'm Jeanne's alter or something like that." Jean said. "So, what's your business with our pretty little bartender right here? Do you guys know each other?" Asked the woman.

"She's a friend." Hachiman answers. "A stubborn one." Saki was annoyed at that remark. "Here's your damn Chaldea, go ahead and drink." She handed him the drink. The dead eyed teen took a sip. "I won't change my mind Hachiman, I need the money for summer classes." Saki's face is full of determination.

"Then at least come home earlier. Your family is worried." Hachiman answered. "Jean-san, would it be possible for her to go home earlier than usual?" He asked the other silverette. The woman struck up a thinking pose before replying. "Well she can, it's up to her though." Jean then grabbed Hachiman's drink, and took a swig, "Damn, Chaldea is really shitty." She criticized. "The minimum hour of work for part timers are 4. After that it's up to her if she will go home or not. We start after the sun goes down."

"If you really want to save money for cram school, go ahead." Hachiman stands up. "But please make sure your parents or your siblings know what you're doing. They're gonna die with worry at this rate." The teen lifted his arms and stretched. "If you decide that this is tiring, you can come to me for tutoring. I'll do my best to make sure you get a damn scholarship." He then bowed to Jean. "Thank you for accompanying me tonight Jean-san, but I'm afraid I must go. Have a good night, Jean-san, Saki."

He left the Grand Order.

"So, remind me why we need to meet today?" Asked the fish eyed teen. He was currently sitting on a mall bench, with Yukino on his left. "We're going to buy a gift for Yuigahama-san, it's her birthday on the 18th." The ravenette stood up. "Let's buy a nice gift for Yuigahama-san." The two of them strolled the mall. They entered a store that sells different plushies.

Examining the plushies, Yukino asked for Hachiman's opinion. "Do you think Yuigahama-san would like this?" She asked as she pulled up a panda plushie. "I think so." Replied Hachiman, who was also inspecting a panda plushie. "But I think Yuigahama-san owns many stuffed toys, so giving her another one would be forgettable." He also noticed the intense stare Yukino has for the plush toy. "Besides, I think you are the one that likes it." With her intentions revealed, the ravenette blushed and looked at the opposite direction.

When they left the store, Yukino bought three different Pan-san the panda plushies.

They also went to the general store, to which Yukino suggested that a mug would be an ideal gift. "I don't think a mug would fit Yuigahama-san. She's clumsy and will probably break it after a week." Replied Hachiman. "It would be better to give her clothes or something that she can use often."

In the end, Yukino settled with buying Yui a pink sundress. When checking out for the said dress, a woman exclaimed to Yukino. "Ara, Yukino-chan? What are you doing in this time of day?" The said woman then looked at Hachiman. "Who is this guy? Is he your boyfriend or something?" The ravenette blushed before defending herself. "Nee-san! Stop speaking such nonsense!"

"I'm Hikigaya Hachiman, nice to meet you, Yukinoshita-san's sister." Bowed Hachiman. 'I'm three for three with the Yukinoshita women. Do I get a prize for this?' He thought. Yukino's sister intruded his personal space. "My name is Haruno, nice to meet you Hachiman-kun!" Yukino could already tell that a head ache is coming, making her pinch the bridge of her nose. "Why don't we sit somewhere to better acquaint ourselves?" Haruno dragged Yukino and Hachiman to a nearby bench.

"Nee-san, please stop dragging us." The little sister pleaded. Haruno let go of them when they reached a bench. The three of them sat down with Haruno in the middle of Hachiman and Yukino. "It's fine if I call you Hachiman-kun right?" The older Yukinoshita asked. Hachiman, had better ideas. "I mind, so please stop calling me that."

"You don't like being called Hachiman-kun? How about my boyfriend then?" Earning a loud "Nee-san!" from Yukino, she just laughed it off. "What? You said that he's not your boyfriend!" Haruno pouted cutely. 'So this is where Fuyume-san's mischievous nature went.' Hachiman thought. "I also mind that. Calling me Hikigaya is fine."

"Mou, Why? Do I need to be close enough for me to be able to call you Hachiman-kun?" The older girl asked. "Yes." Replied the fish eyed teen. "Then, what should I do to get closer to you?" Haruno asked, intruding to his personal face even further. "Can't you tell me, Hikigaya-kun?"

"Stop being close." Hachiman replies, staring intensely to the eyes of the older Yukinoshita. "I don't like it when people I don't know act like we're friends or something." This prompted the close woman to back off. "Know your boundaries, woman, then we'll be good." Hachiman continued.

"Interesting!" Haruno claps her hand. "You're very interesting Hikigaya-kun!" She happily spoke out. "Please humor this Onee-san of yours and tell me your contact info ne?" Yukino, spoke out to her sister. "Nee-san! Stop asking for such things!" The older sister just glared at her before speaking again. "Can't you see that the adults are talking, Yukino-chan?" That shut the younger Yukinoshita.

"As I told you, Yukinoshita-san, I don't give my contact information to strangers." Hachiman replies. Haruno then intrudes his personal space again, this time hugging his left arm to her bosom. "Pretty please, Hikigaya-kun?" Hachiman, fed up with the older woman, sighed. "Please stop this nonsense, Yukinoshita-san, I don't like your look."

"Look?" Questioned Haruno. "What do you mean by that?"

"I don't know, maybe try taking off that mask or something." Hachiman nonchalantly replies. "I don't want to deal with that, so next time, please don't bring any of that in my face."

The older Yukinoshita was impressed by the fish eyed teen. "Hoh, interesting." She murmured with a serious voice. "Then I guess I'll meet you sooner or later, Hikigaya-kun!" Haruno the left the two of them. Yukino closed the gap left by her sister, then spoke to Hachiman. "I'm sorry about my Nee-san, Hikigaya-kun. She can be a real handful sometimes."

"It's fine, I've dealt with all kinds of people. I used to part time on a convenience store." Hachiman remarks. Yukino asks him a question. "What do you think of my sister?" Hachiman ponders for a bit before replying to her question. "She's fake."

Surprised and impressed at the same time, Yukino speaks again. "That's new. People usually reply beautiful whenever they're asked about my sister." The fish eyed teen adds to his answer. "That's how powerful her façade is." He cracks his knuckles. "I won't refute the fact that your sister is beautiful. Hell, even you are, but the moment our eyes locked, I already saw her mask." Hachiman finished. Yukino blushed at his compliment.

Right after he spoke, a brown dog came barreling towards the two of them. Yukino, who is not fond of dogs, got scared and is now clinging to Hachiman. The brown dog was happily circling around Hachiman's legs.

"Sable!" Hachiman heard a familiar voice. His attention turned to the pink haired girl running towards them. "Hikki? Yukinon?" When Yui saw the two, her face morphed into something Hachiman cannot explain. "Are you guys on a date?" the pinkette asked.

Yukino got her bearings and answered the girl. "No Yuigahama-san, I asked Hikigaya-kun's help because this is related to the club."

"Club matters? Why am I not informed about it?" Yui's stare is now unnerving even Hachiman, who was caressing the dog. "W-well, Hiratsuka-sensei just texted me about it today, and I met Hikigaya-kun by chance."

"Listen to me Yuigahama." Hachiman stands up. "I don't do dates, and the only person I'll ever date would be my wife or Komachi."

"So you two are not dating?" Asked the pinkette. "No, we are not on a date." Hachiman answered. "This might be a great chance to have some girl time. So go ahead you two." Hachiman motions them to scram. "I'm going home for today."

Yukinoshita Fuyume.

She's the matriarch of the Yukinoshita household. A beautiful woman, with even more beautiful intellect. When she was young, every guy and their dads wanted to at least be noticed by her.

What got this beautiful woman on the verge of tears?

It was a picture.

People said that pictures say a thousand words, but the picture she is currently viewing implies a single word.

Betrayal.

"Where did I go wrong?" The woman asked. Anger and sadness clearly present in her voice. "I loved you dearly, and I gave everything to you!" She screamed at the picture in front of her. Frustration clearly bubbling in her blood. Thrashing and throwing the papers in her work desk, the woman then saw the photo proudly displayed on her work desk.

It was their wedding photo.

Her anger flaring once again, Fuyume swatted the photo of them. The frame's glass shattered when it hit the floor. The pristine wedding photo of them, was now reduced to shards, just like the state of their marriage right now.

A perfect photo ruined by another.

Yukinoshita Fuyume continued to stare at the wretched photo in front of her. It was a photo of her husband and his secretary, with her husband's secretary sitting on his lap, and greedily engaging him in a kiss. Fuyume turned her attention to the light novel that was on the edge of her table, given by a dead eyed loner that knew her fondness for smut. "I know that I loved reading about it, but it doesn't have to happen to me you know?"

The Yukinoshita matriarch silently wept throughout the night.
