The rays of the morning sun hit Hachiman's face, waking him up from his slumber. When he opened his eyes, he saw Yukinoshita Yukino.

On his lap.

Sleeping.

'Why is Yukino on my lap? Did she sleepwalk or something?' Thought the teen. His misery however, was not short-lived as the women sleeping on both his shoulders stirred and awakened. 'Great, I'll get teased by them.' Hachiman rolled his eyes.

"Hachiman? Why is Yukino-chan on your lap?" Questioned Haruno, who was rubbing her eyes. Their mother, giggled like a schoolgirl as she also pointed out my situation. "Ara Hachiman, If I knew that Yukino will do that, I should've let her lean on your shoulder. Now I'm jealous." She pouted after speaking.

"Please spare me from the teasing and help me." Hachiman replied to them. Before any of them could do anything, the girl on his lap opened her eyes.

"Eh?! Hikigaya-kun?! What am I doing here? Did you do lewd things to me when I was asleep?" This prompted Fuyume to laugh at the poor teen. She didn't appreciate the accusation that was thrown by her daughter though. "Yukino, don't accuse Hachiman that quickly. He was the first one to sleep last night." Disappointment clearly heard on her voice.

"Your mother's right Yukino-san. Do you have a grudge towards me or something?" Questioned the dead eyed teen at the girl on his lap. "And please get off my lap this instant. I'm starting to think that you enjoy sitting on my lap."

The youngest Yukinoshita didn't need to be told twice.

"You move quickly, Yukino-chan!" The older sister pats Yukino's shoulder, eliciting a blush from the said girl. "Next time tell Onee-chan some tips." The blush got darker. Hachiman decided to save the blushing mess of a Yukino as he stood up.

"You guys hungry? I'll cook you breakfast."

"That would be lovely, Hachiman." Fuyume replied. Hachiman smiles as he walks to the kitchen to whip a simple breakfast, leaving the mother and daughters. The trio watched another movie, this time about a guy and a girl whose families were mortal enemies.

Half an hour after the movie started, Hachiman informed them that the breakfast is ready. The girls weren't listening as their eyes were glued to the movie. Hachiman decided to bring them the breakfast so they could eat as they watch.

Seeing them so concentrated, Hachiman grabbed the remote that was on the table, then paused the movie. This prompted the girls to get shocked, as the movie was paused before the main couple kissed. "What? Is the movie broken? Why did it stop?" Questioned Fuyume, who was very invested in the movie.

Feeling bad, the dead eyed teen spoke to the ladies. "I paused it. I notified you three about breakfast being ready earlier, but you weren't listening. You're way too invested in the movie." Hachiman gently placed a large plate, with bacon, eggs, and toasted bread on it. "But don't worry, I've brought the breakfast so you guys can watch while you eat." He also placed down a large bowl filled with rice. "I also cooked rice, if you guys don't want bread."

"Thank you, Hachiman. Come and sit here so you can watch the movie with us." The Yukinoshita matriarch gestured him to sit in the middle of the couch, between her and this time Yukino, who was thankful that she won rock paper scissors against her sister.

They all went ahead and helped themselves with breakfast, with Haruno commenting on his cooking skills. "This is very delicious Hachiman! Your future wife would be lucky; she'll be able to taste wonderful food every day." It was Hachiman's turn to blush as he was flustered with such compliment.

"Onee-san right Hikigaya-kun, you're a good cook."

"I used to dream of becoming a househusband. This is one of the things I focused on getting good at." Hachiman was embarrassed as the girls were laughing at what he said. "Yeah yeah, laugh it off women." The dead eyed teen joined them as he also laughed at what he said.

The quartet continued to watch the chick flick as they happily ate breakfast.

Hachiman finally got home. The Yukinoshitas never wanted him to leave and did their best delaying tactics to stall for time. Him asking for the remote to turn off the TV? Yukino would slowly grab the said remote and again, slowly move to hand it to the teen. Him wanting to use the bathroom to take a piss? Haruno or whoever's inside took their sweet time and even cleaned the mirrors three times just to waste his time. It even came to the point where Fuyume just straight up sat on Hachiman's lap, leaned on his chest and took a nap.

Haruno, being the only person who haven't done it yet, was jealous.

The dead eyed teen, finally having enough of their antics, decided to trick them by saying that he's going to buy ice cream and they could all continue to watch another chick flick. He never returned to the said apartment after leaving.

"Onii-chan! Welcome home! You didn't come home yesterday." Pouted Komachi as she was alone on the dinner table last night. "Yukino-san didn't let you go?" Questioned the younger teen.

"Even worse. Her mother didn't want me to go." He grumbled. The younger sister gasped as she was surprised that it wasn't Yukino that was preventing him from leaving.

"Eh?!" The fish eyed teen left his sister to comprehend the information she received. Fishing his phone from his pocket, he saw it being bombarded by a ton of messages and missed calls.

"Let's see it." Hachiman muttered as he scrolled through the messages.

Hikigaya-kun? Mother was asking if you've got the ice cream. It was sent by Yukino.

Hachiman? Okaa-san is getting worried that you're taking too long. This one was sent by Haruno.

Hikigaya-kun? Why are you not replying? Nee-san and I have messaged you and called a few times.

Hachiman. Okaa-san is getting angry now. Please answer the phone or else.

Hachiman? What's taking you so long? I got your number from Yukino so I tried to text and call you too.Hachiman was surprised that even Fuyume would join in to ask about him.

Did you bail on us, Hikigaya-kun? Mother won't be happy by what you did.

You owe me an ice cream the next time we meet, Hachiman.

So you tricked us. I'm very disappointed with what you did. Please give me a call once you read this message. Fuyume's message was sent an hour ago. With guilt on his veins, he dialed the Yukinoshita matriarch's number.

Which only rang once.

"Hachiman?!" The panicked voice of Yukinoshita Fuyume answered him. "Why did you ditch us? I'm very hurt by what you did." Disappointment clearly present in her voice.

"I'm very sorry, Fuyume-san." The teen replied. "But you guys clearly don't want me to go home earlier. Seriously? You guys were taking too long on the bathroom, even cleaning it just to stall time." He noticed the wet bathroom mirror when he used it.

"Ehe… Sorry." The mother Yukinoshita just laughed sheepishly.

"Don't "ehe" me Fuyume-san." The dead eyed teen responded. "Though I owe you three ice cream the next time I come."

"Kaa-san, is that Hachiman?" He heard Haruno's voice asking if it was him. "Hachiman! You owe me a mocha ice cream! I can't believe you'll ditch us like that!" He rolled his eyes at the woman's remark. "Anyway, see you soon Hachiman!"

"Right, see you soon. You too Fuyume-san." Hachiman hangs up.

"Onii-chan! Who was that just now?" Komachi, who finally digested the information dump, asked. "Was that Yukino-san's mother?" To which Hachiman nodded. "What's your relationship with Yukino-san's mom? Are you planning on making a harem by going straight through her mom first?"

"No, why would I do that? My relationship with Fuyume-san is that of a friend." The older brother replied.

"See! You're in first name basis with her! Are you sure that you're really just friends?"

"What's the problem? You're in first name basis with her daughter, and even the bug." Seeing the confusion on her sister's face as he mentioned the bug, he coughed to clear his throat and spoke once again. "I meant Taishi, Saki's little brother."

"Gomii-chan, you're being weird again."

The fish eyed teen, ignoring his little sister remembered that Saki wanted to have a study session. "Right, speaking of Saki, she wanted my help with her studies." He texted the silverette, asking if she's available for today.

Not even a minute passed, he got a reply.

Yeah! I'm available for today! Are we having that study session?

Hachiman texted her where they would meet and the time.

I'll see you there! Was Saki's reply.

Hachiman then spent the next half hour trying his best not to facepalm as his little sister tried her best to give him a makeover. The fish eyed teen thought that after he changed clothes three times, that it would finally appease the passion in her little sister but he was wrong. Komachi was even more determined to change his look, but Hachiman finally got enough of her antics and glared at the young teen.

"Komachi, I'm going to be late if you continue with this nonsense. I'm just going on a study session!" He exclaimed.

"But Onii-chan! I want you to look your best so when Saki-nee sees you, she'll be licking her lips in lust." The older brother winced with what his little sister had said. He karate chopped her head. "Ouchie! Gomii-chan you meanie." Pouted Komachi.

Hachiman just smirked at his pouting sibling. "That's what you get for being so lewd. You're not even highschool for god's sake!" He grabbed the bomber jacket that was sprawled on his bed. It might be summer, but the nights are still cold. "I'll see you later, 'Machi." Seeing that she was ignoring him, he spoke once again. "I'll get your favorite donut when I get home later."

This seemed to do the trick, the young woman smiled at him and embraced her brother. "Make sure to get more than a dozen, Onii-chan!" Hachiman smiled at his sister's antics. She might be a pouty, demanding girl, but he still loves her as his sister.

"Yeah, I'll see what I can do." He said as he left their house.

The teen spent the next fifteen minutes walking towards the station, to which he rode a train towards the mall. He sat on a nearby bench that was near their meeting spot, and waited for the silverette to come. He didn't have to wait long, Kawasaki Saki was hot on his heels and waved at him after he sat down.

"Good afternoon Hachiman." Greeted Saki, waving her hand towards the fish eyed teen. "Did you wait long?" she asked.

"No, I just got here. I bet you have seen me sit down this chair." He replied. The girl in front of him nodded as she saw him sat down. Looking at his phone, he asked the silverette his own question. "So, what do you want to do? Where should we study?"

'Don't threaten me with a good time, Hachiman.' Thought Saki. "Let's study at Noryangjin!" she exclaimed, surprising the young man. 'Wait… did I say it right?' She thought, realizing that she just blurted out the series she had been reading, quickly waved her hands and tried to clear the air of uncertainty between them. "No no no! what I meant is, we should go to a café to study!"

"Sure, we won't find Noryangjin in Japan anyways." He replied, flashing the silverette a smirk when she realized that Hachiman knew what she was talking about.

'He knows…' She thought as they walked, towards the café Hachiman knows. Needless to say it was an awkward walk.

Miura Yumiko is a hot blonde, if we're using simple words to describe her. Simplicity is sometimes the best when you discuss certain things. Her natural, blonde, wavy hair freely waved behind her. Red, frilly top combined with a black skater skirt and stockings combo, she clearly knows how to present herself.

She was walking with her clique as they just finished singing in karaoke. She was behind her peers, as she didn't enjoy Tobe's exaggerated actions as he recalled what they did on the karaoke bar. "Yui-chan sings well!" The blonde heard Tobe once more.

She was looking around the area where they are to look for something interesting to do. It was at that moment that she saw Hikio as she calls him and Kawasaki, talking to each other inside the café. A constricting feeling made her gasp for air.

Thankfully she was behind her friends so no one noticed.

After breathing deeply for a few times, the said feeling lessened. 'Why is Hikio with her? Are they dating?' She thought. Wanting to find out what's with her and his Hikio, Yumiko used one of the famous tricks people use to separate from their friends.

The "Sorry, my mom sent me a message, telling me to grab this and that excuse."

She acted panicked, and quickly spoke to her friends. "Ugh guys, my mom wanted me to buy groceries. I guess I'll see you guys on Monday."

It was super effective.

Tobe stop sharing stories, while Hayama spoke to let her go. "Sure, Yumiko, see you on Monday." Yumiko inwardly smiled as she was successful in her attempt to ditch her friends. "Let's go guys." Tobe followed the blond man.

"See you on Monday, Yumiko!" Their pink haired friend bid her farewell as she walked with the guys. This left Ebina and Yumiko in front of the café.

"Go get him, Yumi-chan!" Ebina laughed as she ignored the protests of the blonde. Now that she's alone, Yumiko entered the café where Hachiman and Saki is. The fish eyed teen, seeing her with her friends earlier, silently prayed that the fiery blonde won't ditch her friends.

Sadly, the romcom gods haven't listened to his plea.

'Why would she even come here?' Asked Hachiman. He was teaching Saki about literature, specifically the works made on Edo period. The said silverette was currently writing about her thoughts on the Edo period literature. 'Please just buy coffee or cake and leave.' He once again thought of a prayer to the romcom gods, who clearly ignored his plea once more.

"Hikio?" It was Saki's turn to be surprised as she looked at the newcomer with a glare. Yumiko being the fire queen she is, retaliated with a glare of her own. "Why are you looking at me like that, Kawasaki?"

Not one to be outdone, the silverette's glare hardened. "Can't you see that we're studying here?" The blonde now scanned her surroundings, she saw that the pair have studying materials laid out on the table.

"You're kinda interrupting us here, Miura."

"Hikio!" Yumiko exclaimed. "What did I tell you to call me?" She walked to where the fish eyed teen is and sat down beside him. Saki just grits her teeth in annoyance, muttering about sitting beside someone and disturbing studies.

"What? Miura's your name right?" Questioned the teen.

"Yeah! But didn't we agree to call each other nicknames?" Hearing this, the studying silverette couldn't help but snicker, which the pissed off blonde noticed. "Why are you laughing, Kawasaki?!" She turned her attention to the laughing Saki.

After calming down, the silverette answered her question. "You sound like Hachiman's overly affectionate girlfriend. Are you his girlfriend?"

Unprepared, the fuming blonde stopped in her tracks. Her face, which is reddening from anger, reddened in embarrassment. Hachiman replied to Saki's question faster than the blonde could even speak. "Let her be Saki, she's just like that." He gave the said blonde a donut. "You'll learn to deal with her too."

The fish eyed teen turned to the girl sitting beside him. "Well, how about this." He looked at his phone as he inspected the time. "Since this study session is going to end on the next hour, how about staying here then I'll treat you to ice cream or crepe?"

"Would it be strawberry flavored?" Asked Yumiko, staring back at Hachiman. "Because if it isn't then I won't stay."

The obvious tsun act made the silverette, who was watching them, laugh once again. "You clearly sound like his girlfriend!" She managed to say in between the fits of giggles.

"As if!" The blonde, who is still blushing, replied to Saki. "Who would want to date this dead eyed creep?" When Yumiko turned to look at their male companion, she saw his eyes glaze over. This forced the blonde to shut up.

"Let's just continue studying, Saki." The dead eyed teen said to Saki, who nodded as they went back to writing some essays. "You're free to go, Yumi." He said to the blonde, not even sparing her a glance.

'I screwed up big time, right?' Was the blonde's thought as she watched the two study.

"Thank you for your time, Hachiman. I've learned a lot about Edo period." Saki bowed to show her gratitude, which made the fish eyed teen wince.

"Please don't do that Saki. We're friends, there's no need to thank me that formally." Dismissed Hachiman, who doesn't like formalities. "So, same time next week?" He asked the silverette.

"Sure. Let's do it here too." Saki smiled at him. "See you on Monday, Hachiman, Miura." She said as she bid farewell, leaving the dead eyed teen and the surprisingly silent Yumiko.

The two walked towards the mall, when Hachiman started to speak. "Yumi. What's wrong?" He asked the silent girl. The said girl was startled at the sudden question. "Usually you're loud and noisy."

"Well…" The blonde started to speak. "I'm sorry for being insensitive." She grabbed the teen's left arm. "I'm sorry for calling you a creep earlier, I really don't mean it!" Yumiko exclaimed. This prompted the fish eyed teen to lightly smile at the blonde's antics.

"Don't worry about it, Yumi. I'm used to getting called a creep."

"But to hear it from someone you know? I know that it hurt, Hikio." Yumiko countered. "I saw your eyes become glazed after I answered Kawasaki." She grabbed his face to force the teen to look at her. "I don't want to see you get sad like that again, Hikio."

"You won't Yumi." He responded. "Want to eat crepes?"

The blonde smiled at him. "I thought you'd never ask." She linked her arms once more and clung to the teen. "Let's go Hikio!"

When the duo reached the mall, they started to look for crepes. It took them fifteen minutes before they found a store that sold crepes. Hachiman asked his companion. "What flavor would you like, Yumi?"

"Strawberry!" The answer came as fast as the question.

After getting their serving, the two of them continued to stroll around the mall. Yumiko dragged him to a clothing store and made him try several articles of clothing. Which is something Hachiman was not fond of. He gritted his teeth as he was forced to change into different clothes that the blonde wanted.

'This feels like what Komachi did earlier.' The teen thought. "Remind me why are we doing this again?" He asked Yumiko, who was looking at him intently as she is deep in thought.

'It looks fine, but it doesn't suit Hikio's.' Thought the blonde as she observed Hachiman's state of dress. He was wearing an oversized grey sweater and black pants. It made the fish eyed teen look like a hipster. "This style doesn't suit you at all." Yumiko commented. "We're doing this because I said so!"

'There goes the bossy Yumi.' Thought the young man. "Fine, but there won't be a next time."

The blonde laughed at his pouting face.

After making Hachiman her doll, they exited the store and walk around once more. The dead eyed teen tried his best to stop the fashionable blonde to go on another clothing store and check the clothes.

"Hey Hikio! How about we go there next?"

Clearly, he was failing.

As they walked towards another boutique, Hachiman prayed to the romcom gods. 'Please make her stop!' This time, the romcom gods heeded his prayer. Miura, who was looking at him as she dragged him, bumped into another woman.

"Hey! Watch where you…" Whatever words Yumiko had to say, died in her throat as she saw who she bumped into.

The woman was wearing a white long sleeve shirt, a black business overcoat and matching skirt, green tie, stockings and high heeled shoes. Beside the woman was another woman that wears a black vest over a white long sleeve.

The woman Yumiko bumped into was Japan's Olympic gold medalist in Karate. The woman people called as the brunhilde. She bumped into Orimura Chifuyu, accompanied by Hiratsuka Shizuka.

"Orimura-sensei! I'm sorry!" All the fieriness her voice possessed earlier was gone, replaced by the primal desire to leave the place and hide. That's how fear inducing the brunhilde is.

Hachiman on the other hand, was thankful for the interaction. "Good afternoon, Chifuyu-nee-san, Hiratsuka-sensei." Yumiko's head snapped to look at her companion, shock plastered at her face with how the fish eyed teen greeted the brunhilde.

"Oh, Hachiman, good afternoon." The woman smiled at him.

"Okay, this is weird." The confused blonde interjects.

"You guys are close?" This time, it was Shizuka who asked.

It was Chifuyu who answered the teacher's question. "He was my little brother's friend." At the mention of her little brother, Shizuka and Yumiko's face grimaced. Everyone in Japan knew the tragic death of the brunhilde's brother, Ichika. The young man was riding a plane to watch her sister to defend her country's honor at the Olympics, when the plane he was riding in crashed.

There were no survivors on that crash.

The fish eyed teen clapped his hands to grab their attention. "How about we all get a bite to eat?" He asked. "Looks like you guys could use some food."

"Sure. Let's go and eat, Hachiman." Chifuyu answered. The quartet walked around the mall, looking for a restaurant. In the end, they settled for Saize.

"So, let me ask you again, Orimura-sensei." Shizuka spoke after finishing her lasagna. "How did you know Hikigaya?"

Hachiman was the one who answered the question this time. "When I was in elementary, I took an interest in playing basketball. I enrolled into a basketball camp one summer, where I met Ichika."

Yumiko who was listening on his story, asked a question. "That doesn't explain how you and Orimura-sensei were close."

"I was getting into that." Hachiman replied to the blonde. "After that camp, Ichika transferred to my school. I regularly spend my days on their house back then." He explained. The blonde was not done asking questions, and asked another one.

"What happened after elementary though?"

"Because of Chifuyu-nee-san's talent, they ended up transferring overseas." The fish eyed teen put up a thinking face. "It was to Germany, right Chifuyu-nee-san?" The woman in question nodded affirmatively. "Speaking of Ichika, how's Madoka-san?"

The brunhilde's eyes glazed over, which earned an elbow to his ribs courtesy of Yumiko, who mouthed to him 'Learn to be sensitive!'

"I guess it's not okay huh?"

"She blames me for Ichika's death." Chifuyu sadly replied. "She left the house and we haven't had any contact ever since." The woman's shoulders slumped.

"I'm sure you'll meet your little sister someday, Orimura-sensei." Shizuka massaged the woman's shoulders. "And I'm sure she stopped blaming you for what happened."

Chifuyu smiled at her fellow teacher's gesture, before sighing as she spoke again. "To be honest, it gets lonely at home, especially when you're tired and when you reach home, it's empty."

Hachiman, who was spacing out, replied without a care. "Why not live with us then?"

The girls just blinked.

A/N: Hachiman ditches the Yukinoshitas, Yumiko accidentally hurts the fish eyed teen, and Hachiman offers the brunhilde to live with her? Find out what happens on the next chapter of Hachiman Becoming Better!

I guess I laid it in thick here. I feel bad killing off Ichika, but it's a decision I'll have to bear as I add Chifuyu to Hachiman's ever expanding list of older women who likes him.

Next chapter will be based on Episode 9 and 10 of the first season, and will introduce the redhead named Sagami. Is she friendly or not to our Hachiman? We'll find out on the next chapter.

Should I continue writing about Ten Years Forward?
