"Hachiman, my clothes shrunk again." The groggy teen woke up to a teary eyed Chifuyu, shaking him and telling him that her clothes once again shrunk.

"I told you not to raise the temperature of the washer, right?" At the mention of the temperature, the brunhilde scratched the back of her head and laughed awkwardly.

"You see… I kinda forgot." The black haired karate master replied. "But I can't help it!" She exclaimed. "Back on my house, the washer I own is not as high tech as yours is!" Argued the woman, which made the head of the recently woken up young man ache.

"Don't be like that, Chifuyu-nee-san. You're not that old." Hachiman replied while massaging his temples. "Besides, I told you that washing clothes is done on Sundays." He sat up his bed.

"But it's Sunday today!" Exclaimed the brunilde. "Komachi asked me if I could wash the clothes, and I just can't say no to her pleading look." When Hachiman heard her explanation, he instantly knew that this argument is a lost cause. Once his little sister uses her puppy eyes, you're bound to say yes to whatever she requests. Hachiman is the only person capable of resisting it to an extent.

"Right, let's go and wash your clothes properly this time." Chifuyu smiled at the teen, which made the dead eyed teen himself smile and remember the events when the brunhilde started to live on the Hikigaya Household.

"So that's that" Hachiman finished explaining to the other members of the Hikigaya Household. "I offered Chifuyu-nee-san if she wanted to live with us, which she agreed." He looked towards his little sister, who was smiling at him.

"Good job Onii-chan!" The youngest Hikigaya exclaimed. "You finally brought a girl home, and a gorgeous one at that!" The comment made the said woman blush. Hachiman lightly glared at his little sister.

"Chifuyu-sama!" Exclaimed his mother. "You can stay here as long as you like!"

"That's right!" Hachiman's dad doubled down. "Thank you for choosing to live with us!"

"Don't treat Chifuyu-nee-san as a goddess, Kaa-san, Tou-san. She might look like one, but she's still human like us." The compliment didn't go unnoticed to Chifuyu's ears, making her blush once more. "Where would you like to sleep, Chifuyu-nee-san?" Asked the dead eyed teen.

"I'm fine anywhere, to be honest. I could even sleep in the couch."

"That's no good!" Komachi and his parents shouted. Komachi then started to speak once more. "Come and sleep with me, Chifuyu-nee-sama! My bed is big enough for the both of us!" The youngest Hikigaya then drags the brunhilde to her room. "I always wanted a big sister! Onii-chan is too much to handle." She managed to leave a remark before dragging the squirming lady upstairs.

"Hachiman you there?" Hachiman saw a waving hand in front of him. "Are you there? You've spaced out for a long time."

"Sorry." Replied the teen. "Let me teach you how to operate this washer."

"Please teach me, Hachiman."

"Going out?" Asked Chifuyu to Hachiman. The brunhilde was watching TV, which aired the latest episode of the shounen anime the woman was a fan of. She didn't even turn and face the teen, not wanting to tear her eyes away from the amazing action sequence that was going on.

"Unfortunately, yes." He replied to the woman. "A classmate of mine invited me to go on the fireworks festival." He explained as he finished lacing up his shoes.

"Is it Yuigahama?"

"Yes." Answered Hachiman, who was surprised that she knew who invited him. "How did you know?"

"Komachi was talking to her earlier and I heard something about the festival." Chifuyu replied. "Komachi said that she wouldn't be able to come, but offered you in her place."

Sighing, the dead eyed teen stood up. "I knew she'll do something like this." The young man then holds the brunhilde's hand. "Please make sure she completes all her homework that she didn't work on yet. I know that she loves cramming and procrastinating."

"I'm a drill sergeant, Hachiman." The woman spoke to him. "I'll make sure she won't leave her room until she's done with her homework. Enjoy the fireworks festival!" Chifuyu then looks at his eyes. "Please bring home a candy apple, Hachiman. Ichika loves eating them."

"I will." Hachiman started to walk out the house. "Please take care of the house while I'm gone, Chifuyu-nee-san." The fish eyed teen then makes a beeline towards the train station. The dead eyed teen was looking at his phone and he got a message from his pink haired club mate.

Hikki! We're meeting at the station right?

He quickly typed his own response: Yes. Are you near the station by any chance?

Not even a minute after sending his reply, the fish eyed teen got a response. Yeah! See you soon, Hikki!

Hachiman didn't bother to type a response, opting to tuck his phone back into his pocket. He continued his merry way towards the station, seeing a panting Yui on the stairs. "You shouldn't run wearing a yukata Yuigahama. It will make you sweat more." He then complimented the pinkette. "It looks nice on you, by the way."

Yui was wearing a yellow yukata with pinwheel patterns dotting around the whole of the yukata. The pinwheels were colored red orange, which gives the yukata a nice contrast. The beautiful yellow yukata was kept together by a red sash, which has a pink ribbon tied to it. Men of all ages was looking at the pinkette lovingly, sometimes girls peeked too. Yui looked beautiful in her current wear.

The said pinkette, who was panting when she heard the dead eyed teen's compliment, quickly smiled and thought to herself. 'Hikki thinks I'm beautiful!' After recovering her breath, the pinkette greeted her date. "Hikki!" She gave him a wave, which the other teen nodded to. "I know that I shouldn't run. But, I know that you'll get at me for being late!" Yui stuck her tongue out after speaking.

"Good to know that you've learned to be punctual." Was the fish eyed teen's response. He smiled at the pout he got from his reply.

Once on the train, Hachiman received a message from his little sister. Onii-chan, please buy me the following!

Yakisoba
Cotton Candy
Ramune
Takoyaki

Thank you, Onii-chan, you're the best!

P.S. Buy Chifuyu-nee-sama too!

Yui, who was curious about the text the fish eyed teen got, was also looking at his phone. "That's a lot of food! Are you sure Komachi will eat them all?"

This prompted Hachiman to get surprised. "Oi, don't look at somone else's phone woman, that's rude." The dead eyed teen thought that his observant nature has a long way to go. "Besides, it's not just Komachi who'll eat these." The teen then remembered Chifuyu, who was now living with them.

"Who's going to eat those other than Komachi-chan?" The pinkette curiously asked to her companion. The said companion then looked at her and then answered her question.

"Orimura-sensei, she lives with us now." Casually dropping a bomb, Hachiman entered the train.

"Eh?! Orimura-sensei is living in your house?!" Exclaimed the shocked girl towards the fish eyed club mate of hers. This prompted the other passengers to stare at her in curiosity, making her blush and get red in embarrassment. She bowed towards the curious crowd and mumbled a sorry. "Why is she living in your house?" Inquired the pinkette.

"I invited her to live in our house, which she gladly agreed to. Now she's living with us." Replied the fish eyed teen, who was looking at the skyline of Chiba.

"But why?"

"Because she says she's lonely." Hachiman answered. "Ever since her little brother died, she has been lonely. We talked about it when I met her and Hiratsuka-sensei on the mall last week." Explained the teen to his companion.

Yui nodded in understanding, but pouted at the teen once more. "I guess you're making Orimura-sensei do the chores in your house, 'cause you're a Hikki!"

The fish eyed teen rolled his eyes at the young woman's comment. "If you only knew how bad she was with house chores, Yuigahama."

"What do you mean?" Inquired the pinkette. "The Brunhilde's perfect! Of course she could do chores easily!" She defended her idol with passion. "If Orimura-sensei heard you, she'll whack you with her book." She pouted at the teen once more.

"IF she heard me, she'll just get flustered in embarrassment because what I said is true." Huffed Hachiman, recalling the incident with the woman's clothing shrinking. "She can't do chores to save her life. She can't cook, she doesn't know how to operate a modern washer, and she'll burn anything she touches with a hot iron." Explained the teen to the pinkette, who have put the woman she idolizes on a pedestal. "It was Ichika who did most of the chores. He's a good cook, which inspired me to learn how to cook myself."

"I just don't think that Orimura-sensei was like that you know?" Yui uttered. "She looks so perfect that I think she's the perfect woman."

"Well, they say that one should never meet their idol." Hachiman quoted. "Also, Chifuyu-nee-san hates being put in a pedestal, as she is just human like us."

The ride towards Chibaminato Station was spent in silence after that.

"Ne Hikki, look!" The excited Yui exclaimed as she dragged the fish eyed teen to a candy apple stand. "These look delicious!"

"Would you like a free one, beautiful lady?" The shopkeeper asked the pinkette. "Go ahead and take two, give your boyfriend an apple too." The shopkeeper's comment made the two blush, with Yui matching the color of her hair. "You look good together, like how my husband and I used to be years ago." This made the blush on the pinkette's face go redder, passing the color of her hair and almost matching the color of the apples.

'Hikki and I look good together…' Thought the bubbly teen.

"Thank you for the apples, Ma'am." Hachiman respectfully bowed to the old woman, who got flustered and waved her hand in dismissal.

"No need to do that young man, just make sure you protect your girlfriend for me eh?" Smiled the woman towards the dead eyed teen.

"Will do, Ma'am." When the fish eyed teen looked towards his companion, the pinkette was staring into the sky dreamily. "Oi, Yuigahama, let's go and buy Komachi's list." He shook up the daydreaming girl.

"Uh sure! Let's go!" The two visited the stands to find every single item on his little sister's list. Reaching the Takoyaki stand, Yui was approached by someone she knew.

"Eh? Is that Yui?" The pinkette turned around at the mention of her name. She saw a reddish brown haired girl with a pixie cut. To her right, was a brown haired girl wearing a ponytail, while to her right was a girl letting her hair down. "It is Yui!" Yui saw the three girls wave to her.

"Mina-chan!" The bubbly pinkette then runs towards the trio. "Yuuko, Chisa! What are you guys doing here?" She asked.

"We were shopping earlier. We stumbled upon here so we decided to check it out." It was Chisa who answered the pinkette. "What about you Yui-chan? Are you on a date? You even took the time to get a yukata!"

"Yui's got a boyfriend~" Sang Yuuko in a chirpy voice.

"Is it that guy?" Mina pointed out to Hachiman, who has his back turned to them. Yui blushed once more, which made the other girls tease her about it. "You're red! It must be true!"

The pinkette, who wanted to rebuff their accusations, internally smiled at being called Hachiman's girlfriend. 'Everyone, even them thinks that Hikki and I are together huh?' She entered her dreaming state once more.

"Yuigahama? I'm done buying Takoyaki." It was that moment that the fish eyed teen came and informed his companion. Once he saw the trio, he narrowed his eyes to them.

Mina did the same, almost glaring at the dead eyed teen. "You're dating this guy Yui? You know that he's creepy right?"

"Yeah! There were rumors about him that he's blackmailing Yukinoshita. That's why people see them together sometimes." Yuuko doubled down on Mina's accusation.

"Don't tell me…" Chisa trailed off. "You're getting blackmailed too, Yui?"

"Sagami Minami, Yuuko Hachikawa, Chisa Hasegawa." Hachiman called out to them. "Why are you guys here?"

Intimidated, Mina or Minami, spat out. "None of your business!" Which the others agreed to. "Did you blackmail Yui to come with you, you lonely creepy eyed guy?"

"Yeah right!" The others chimed in.

The fish eyed teen, seemingly tired of their antics, decided to humor the trio. "What, can't even convince a guy to come with you three so you guys band up together? The movie was right, apes together strong it is."

"Hah?!" The red faced Minami angrily exclaimed. "Did you just call us monkeys? And for your information, we can get any guy easily!"

"Yeah! We can go out with any guy around here!" Chimed Yuuko.

"So you guys are easy to get then?" Asked Hachiman.

"No! We have standards!" Minami argued back.

"I guess it's low enough if any guy here would be fine by you."

"Who cares about that." Chisa replied this time. "At least there's a guy who's willing to look at our way and accept us for who we are! Unlike you! When people look at you, they just get creeped out!"

"Because of my eyes?" Hachiman questioned. "For something I can't change? If that's the case, then they better stay clear out of me. Judgmental people like you three are no good to me. I can't just say grow taller to you now, right?" As he towered over the three, his intimidation factor multiplied, making the girls get more scared.

It was this time that Yui snapped out of her dreamy state. "Mou Hikki! Don't be so harsh on them!" The pinkette then grabbed the arm of the fish eyed teen. "Let's just go and grab some Pan-san merch for Yukinon!"

Leaving the sacred trio behind, Yui berated the dead eyed teen when they reached the Pan-san stand. "Hikki, don't say bad things about them like that. They're still my friends."

Sighing, Hachiman replied to her words. "Sometimes, you got to learn to take a side Yuigahama. Being neutral like you always do will do you more harm than good in the long run. You were spacing out back there, only snapping out of it at the last moment. What were you thinking back then?"

Getting a reminder of what she was thinking, the pinkette turned pink, light blushed adorned her cheeks. "N-nothing special!" Using her skill of navigating through the conversation, she shifted the topic towards the Pan-san merchandise. "Look at this one!" She grabbed a Pan-san plushie, who was wearing a yukata. "Doesn't it look cute? I'm sure Yukinon would like this!"

"Everything Pan-san would surely be liked by Yukinoshita." Replied the fish eyed teen. "Give her a notebook that has Pan-san in it, and I'm sure Yukinoshita would make it her diary. That is if she doesn't have one yet."

The night sky of Chiba lit up, surprising everyone, including Hachiman and Yui. Glitters of pink, blue, yellow and more colors littered on the summer sky. Children and girls quickly ran towards the grasslands, which provided the clearest view of the fireworks.

"Come, Hikki! Let's find a good spot to sit on!" Once more, the pinkette was dragging the dead eyed teen. This time towards the viewing spot.

"Ara, Hachiman?" A voice made the fish eyed teen look towards the source.

It was Haruno Yukinoshita, wearing a gradient of blue to white yukata with black lines all over it.

'This is going to be a long night, now that this woman appeared.' Sighed Hachiman, who was certain he won't be going home anytime soon.

"So, you two are on a date behind Yukino-chan's back huh?" Haruno teased the two. It worked on the pinkette, making her blush for the nth time of the night.

The dead eyed teen didn't even look at her.

"What are you even doing here?" He asked.

"That cold huh?" uttered the ravenette. "I'm here in behalf of my father, who's busy doing other things." She explained. "You know, business stuff." Clapping her hands, the elder Yukinoshita then switches the subject. "What about you two? You didn't even invite Yukino-chan!"

It was Yui who answered first. "I called and texted her a few times you know? She didn't respond to any of it." She explained with a downcast look. "But I wish she was here! The sky is so beautiful tonight. I wish she could see this too." The pinkette finished.

"My little sister is supposed to come." The fish eyed teen spoke out. "She ditched me because her homeworks are not done yet." He finished with a resounding sigh. "Why didn't you bring your little sister here?"

"I tried to." Haruno became somber, opting to look at the colored sky. "She said that she's busy with schoolworks. But I know that she's so diligent that she would've done them all on the first day of summer vacation." The ravenette's eyes became quite murky. "I guess she doesn't want to spend time with her sister then."

"She'll come around." The dead eyed teen offered words of comfort. "She just needs to come out of her shell herself, then she'll be more comfortable around you. You just have to be prepared when she does."

"Hikki's right!" Yui chimed, filled with bubbliness and positive energy. "I'm sure that Yukinon's just shy! She'll join us here soon!"

The Yukinoshita representative then stood up, making the two teens look at her. "All that talking made my throat dry! I'm going to grab a drink!" Haruno then slowly walked away, leaving the two of them to watch the fireworks.

The light show continued on for minutes. The two of them too enthralled to say something.

It was Yui who broke the ice this time, speaking to the fish eyed teen shyly. "Ne, Hikki…" She called out to catch his attention, which worked. Hachiman's attention was on her. "I still haven't thanked you properly yet, huh?"

"For what?" The dead eyed teen decided to act dumb.

"For saving Sable." Hearing about the dog, Hachiman already got the idea.

'So this is about that time.' Thought the fish eyed teen. "I think you did, but I just ignored it that day. I was very angry about getting hit on the first day, which is why I decided to ignore you after that." He rebuffed her thanks, stating that he already heard it before, but ignored it.

"Then I'm thanking you right now, Hikki." The pinkette stood up, then did a ninety-degree bow towards the confused teen. "Thank you for saving Sable that day, Hikki!"

"You don't need to do that, Yuigahama."

"But I want to!" Replied Yui, who was still bowing. "Thank you for everything you've done for me so far, Hikki!"

Hachiman, who was getting embarrassed for the girl, motioned her to stop bowing. "Yeah yeah I get it, just stop bowing and sit back down Yuigahama. It feels embarrassing."

Doing what he said, the pinkette sat back down beside the young man. "Thank you for helping my request back then too." Said Yui, who was now fidgeting with her fingers. "I think that if you didn't solve my request, I wouldn't be where I am now, with Yukinon as my friend and you too." She paused, observing the look on Hachiman's face. "I'm thankful for all the memories we shared on the service club, especially the days where you and Yukinon would just bicker and I'll be the mediator between you two."

'It's now or never, Yui!' Thought the pinkette. Taking a deep breath, Yui started to speak once more. "That's why! I-"

Her phone rang.

With her momentum stopped, her determination to speak up also halted. She stared at the face of Hachiman again, trying to calculate his reaction.

The said teen was looking at her with concern. "Are you not going to answer that? It might be your parents."

Yui pulled the said device from her pouch, and saw that it was her mother. "You're right, I think I should get this one." The pinkette stood up once more, and then ran away from the dead eyed teen.

'Observing the flow of the conversation, her body language, and the situation, I think there's only one thing she's going to say.' Thought Hachiman, who was thinking about the pinkette's actions. 'Should I be thankful about the interruption? I think this'll do more harm than good in the long run.' He concluded.

It was at this moment that Haruno decided to come back. "Eh, Hachiman? Where's your friend?" She asked for Yui.

"She had to answer a call." Answered the fish eyed teen. "She ran towards that way." He pointed to the stands where they came from earlier.

Haruno sat dangerously close to the teen, ignoring his personal space. "So what happened? Did she suddenly bail out on you?"

"Too close woman." The Yukinoshita representative was practically clinging to him. "Ever heard of the term "Personal Space?"" Asked Hachiman, who's looking irritatedly towards the female.

"What's that? Is it something I need to know?"

All he could do was sigh.

The fireworks ended shortly after that, with Hachiman and Haruno seeing the best and largest ones that was saved for last.

It was only them though, Yui didn't come back after the call. The fish eyed teen wanted to check up on her, so he decided to call her. Before he could even dial the pinkette's number, he received a message from the pinkette.

Sorry, Mina-chan and her friends dragged me. I guess I'll see you on the classroom, Hikki. Thank you for coming with me tonight.

Whether it was true or not, Hachiman didn't even bother to think about it.

Haruno was dragging the teen towards the stands, much like what the pinkette was doing with him earlier. "Come Hachiman! We can still get something before they close!" The ravenette uttered.

"Fine, just don't drag me woman." The dead eyed teen argued back. She pouted at his remark.

"When I let go, you'll walk slowly that the stores would've fully closed!" Haruno then dragged the grumbling teen again.

After an intense fifteen minutes of being dragged, Hachiman was thankful the stands have already closed up, therefore releasing him from torture. 'Thank heavens they've already closed!' Thought the teen.

"Thank you for being my escort tonight, Hachiman." Haruno thanked him.

"You should say sorry to my legs for dragging me everywhere." He replied to her. "Thank gods the stores have closed already."

This time, the ravenette snaked her arms to the fish eyed teen once more. "Take me home, Hachiman." Seeing that he has no escape from the woman, Hachiman could only sigh.

"Fine, let's go to your car."

The two walked to where Haruno's limo was parked, talking about the fireworks and the food. When they reached the vehicle, Hachiman reminisced about the accident back in his first year.

'I still get flashbacks about what happened back then, but I don't think there's anything I could about it now, right?' He questioned himself. 'Whatever, it was in the past anyway. All I could do is move on from it and learn. Though I'm thankful that I didn't break any bone.' He concluded.

Once inside, Haruno engaged the teen to small talk. "So, what really happened back there?" Inquired the Yukinoshita. "Did you do something to scare Gahama-chan? I was surprised that she didn't come back after that call. Tell me, Hachiman, what did you do?"

"I did nothing, which probably is not the best course of action." He answered. "It was Yuigahama who was trying to do something, but failed because her momentum was stopped." Pausing to take a deep breath, the fish eyed teen spoke once more. "She started off by thanking me for saving her dog. She then thanked me for solving her request back then. Then, she thanked me for all the time we've spent together." He stopped, taking a look at the raven haired woman. "I think you know where this is going already."

Haruno, who didn't waste time, quickly asked another question. "So she confessed to you? Did you reject her earlier? Maybe that was the reason she didn't come back after."

"I told you, I didn't do anything." Replied Hachiman. "By the romcom gods' intervention, her mom called. I told her that she should pick it up, which she did."

"So you did reject her." The woman chimed. "Albeit indirectly."

"I don't think that qualifies as a rejection." The dead eyed teen responded. "Especially for her, I think Yuigahama wants a direct answer. She couldn't even finish in the first place."

"Then too bad for Gahama-chan then!"

"And too bad for me too." The fish eyed teen remarked. "I don't want her to think I was leading her on. Hell, if she completed her confession, I would've rejected her. Too bad that she didn't."

"Hachiman, would you reject me too if I confessed?" Questioned Haruno, who once again intruded his personal space.

"For sure."

"I don't even sense any hesitation in your voice!" Exclaimed the ravenette as she pouted.

After their talk, the ride towards the Yukinoshita manor was silent, filled with occasional grumbles from the dead eyed teen whenever the woman talked about something annoying. Once on the manor, Haruno thanked the teen for accompanying her once more.

"Thank you for today, Hachiman. I've enjoyed our "date."" Haruno then asked if he's willing to grab a cup of coffee inside.

"Sure."

"Stay here Hachiman, I'm going to brew us some coffee." Instructed Haruno, who went to the kitchen to prepare the said beverage.

Hachiman, who was left to his own devices, sat down the couch. He looked to the expansive collection of expensive paintings that extensively littered the walls. 'They even have works of Salvador Dali. The Yukinoshitas surely are rich.'

"Oh, we have a visitor?" A male voice snapped Hachiman out of his trance. When he looked at the source, he saw an average height man wearing business attire. The dead eyed teen already knew the person. "Hello there, young man. What brings you to our humble abode?" Asked the man.

Hachiman was sure of it. The man was none other than the Patriarch of the Yukinoshita household.

Fuyume's husband.

A/N: Chifuyu's now living on the Hikigaya household, Yui almost confesses, Hachiman meets YukiDad, and THE GODDAMNED FOOD THAT KOMACHI WANTED IS ALREADY COLD! Find out what's happening on the future chapters of Hachiman Becoming Better!

Well well well, here's ya boi Jasserru back at it again with a new chapter! Fresh from my prelims, and fresh from my brain!

Fun Fact: Komachi's list here is the exact same list she asks for in the anime.

Do I even have to say this? I think I'm taking a break for a while. A month, Maybe? But I don't even have an upload schedule so I don't think I need to mention this. We never know, I might upload stories tomorrow, just stay tuned and hold on to yer seats. (The author is lying, he'll get anxious before the month ends then upload the new chapter before it ends.)

So, about Ten Years Forward, well it's getting traction, so might as well start writing about it. Don't expect long chapters about it though, that story will probably just get 2k words per chapter at most. I already have mapped out the plotline to that story, so I better get to writing.

Lastly, His Place is getting a new chapter soon, I'm just deciding if the chapter is another introduction or if it's going to be about the relationship of one of the women to Percy. Yeah, it's weird that I'm talking about this huh? Even I find this weird.

To the reader that enjoys reading the A/N, why?

Anyway, that's all for this chapter! Follow and Fave if you liked this chapter! Leave a review if you have something to say (I read them, don't worry.). And as always, thank you for reading!
