At first, it's quiet in the locker room. Kenny sparks the joint and we all get comfortable. Tweek sits next to me. It's obvious why but it still makes me happy in that stupid way he does. Today, he's been… cute?
I don't know what to call it. Weird, for sure.
He probably doesn't want the guys to have a bad first impression of him. Naively, I hope it doesn't end once they leave. But then, why does he care what they think? He was never nice to me like that.
…I shouldn't be getting jealous about something like this.
When I realize, I zoned out, Tweek is glaring back at me. I don't know how long we've been having a stare-off but the joints made it past Token and to Clyde. And the guys are staring at us too. "You two are the cutest," Kenny comments, off-handedly.
Tweek scoffs and responds, "It's not like we're dating." This makes Kenny snort. Tweek's brow furrows. Uh, oh. "Why's that funny?" I'm curious too but, I hope this isn't Kenny, about to say something stupid. Tweek's using his scary voice now.
"That's what Craig said too," Kenny says. "But y'all are doing everything except dating so, I don't get it." Tweek looks annoyed already.
Oh, boy. "Yeah? How about you mind your own fucking business?" Clyde snickers. He tries to pass the joint but can't reach. "You do things with people you're not dating," Tweek points out.
"That's true," Kenny agrees, taking the weed from Clyde and passing it to Tweek. "But," he says. I roll my eyes because he couldn't have just left it at that? "I think you two care about each other."
"I mean-"
When Clyde starts talking I know it's time to chime in. "Okay," I cut him off. "This is a weird conversation… Especially since we're getting high." Tweek passes the joint to me. "It really isn't you're business, Kenny." I shoot him a look. "Seriously."
Kenny's eyes widen though. He gasps, like he's had an epiphany. "I got it!" he exclaims. He hops off the lockers, grabs my face, and kisses me.
I immediately sock him. Clyde and Token are screaming with laughter and Kenny goes toppling down. "Yeah?!" Tweek says, suddenly enraged. "Whatever, you can kiss whoever you want! Like, I care."
"What? He kissed me. You fucking saw the whole thing!" I say. "Why are you so pissed off?"
"Why are your friends so fucking weird?" Tweek counters.
"Why'd- pfft-" Clyde tries to help Kenny up but he's laughing too hard. "Why'd you do that, man? Ha, ha." He ends up slowly sliding to the ground as well.
I can't get myself together enough to console Tweek. I have to admit I feel a strange sense of pleasure seeing the blonde distressed about me being kissed. When I can manage, I tell Kenny if he kisses either of us again, we're gonna jump him. He agrees that, that is fair.
"You make it sound like it's happened before," Token says. After a short pause and the look on our faces, he chuckles and says, "Oh." Then he looks at Kenny on the ground with Clyde, who's still laughing. "Why?"
Clyde just laughs harder, slapping Kenny on the back. "Dude, what?! When did this happen?"
"I kissed Tweek at the party to piss Craig off. Just like I did now and in both cases, it worked. So," Kenny bangs an invisible gavel. "Case closed or fucking dismissed or whatever."
"What was the point?!" Token wonders. Clyde wheezes alone while Kenny finally picks himself back up.
"I wasn't mad," Tweek grumbles.
"You look mad right now," Kenny says.
"That's just my face," Tweek says. Then he adds, "And you get on my nerves." Clyde and I rupture with laughter again.
"Maybe we're mad because you randomly kissed us," I say.
"Actually, yeah," Kenny says to Tweek. "Sorry about the kissing you thing. Uncalled for. And sorry for kissing Craig too. That seemed to bother you more so I thought I'd apologize for both."
"You wanna get punched again?"
"Hey, I kid!" Kenny laughs. "It's not a bad thing to care about each other. I care about Craig," Kenny says. It grows quiet. He hums, "That sounded weirder than I wanted it to… I just meant like, an example. I care about Token and Clyde too."
"Kenny, shut the fuck up," Token says.
"Okay," the blonde says.
Tweek looks peeved. So much for first impressions.
We finish the joint and leave the gym successfully without getting caught. I drop off the guys first. Before heading to Tweek's house, I turn to him. "You wanna stay at my place tonight?"
He sighs, drooping in his seat. "Nah, it's okay. I already know what's gonna happen," he says. "They're gonna try to act casual and it's gonna be weird. They'll say some shit like, 'it's okay to like boys.'" I kick the car into gear and laugh, "But, I guess they already knew anyways."
"Hang in there."
I drive him home and before he gets out he pauses. I think he might have forgotten something in the gym but then he looks at me. "Thanks," he says. "Even though, it was all your fault."
I laugh, "Of course." It's so dark I can barely see him.
Especially since he's turned away but then Tweek kisses me. "And that's what I meant… when I said I wanted to go to the gym."
I laugh again and say, "We were supposed to study but we didn't get anything done."
"We can study this weekend," he suggests.
That's cutting it pretty close but we don't really have a choice. "Alright, why don't you come over and we can work at my place. My family's gonna be out all weekend and I can't leave 'cause of work and finals."
Tweek blinks at me and nods, "Okay." I know we're probably thinking the same thing: Won't we end up in the same situation? But a whole weekend? We have to get something done.
"Good night," I call as he leaves.
Tweek's parents open the door before he's even there. But they wave, so I assume everything's good. I wave back and head home.
A/N sorry it's short next one will be better
