A/N: Yet again we are introduced to two major characters. Caterina and Dina will play pretty big roles, with Dina leading the Restorationists in a revolution against Marley. Caterina...I don't want to spoil her role (or maybe I don't know how). It's not anything particularly action-packed, but it's a nice touch to the story nonetheless.

By the way. I LOVED last weeks episode. Floch is a solid 10/10 character, definitely made my Jaegerist heart roar and got me writing this chapter. However, it's also made me realize something that I think I've always known but could never really put into words (I'll explain in the Stained Glass stories).

Nobody Here: You're quite right, and in fact, I already plan to have a plot regarding that. (Hint: It involves Alexander's ethnicity)

Mitras, June 29th

"If what she says is true, this could lead to a major upset - especially amongst the immigrant population." Pyxis stated.

"Hold on - are you saying we're even considering this to be a possibility?!" An MP asked incredulously,

"Ultimately we would need the confirmation of Eren Jaeger to determine the truth of…Ms. Dina's claims." Pyxis replied,

"All we can do now is wait." Nile nodded,

Historia and Alto pulled up to Mitras palace with a new car commissioned for them. With Eren and the Scouts coming from their own cars behind them.

"Pyxis said it was urgent…" Alto noted,

"I wonder what it could be?" Historia said,

"One way to find out." Eren noted, and they nodded, entering the palace.

"Your Highnesses, Mr. Jaeger." Nile bowed, while addressing Eren with a respectful nod. "We have a situation."

"What is it?" Alto asked,

"It's best if you just follow us." Nile said,

The trio looked at each other before shrugging and complying.

Nile led them into a room, where a blonde haired woman rose from her seat and turned to look at them, causing Eren to gasp with recognition.

The blonde woman bowed before the trio.

"Hello, my name is Dina Fritz, and I am a member of the House of Fritz."

Neu Lorien, Western Union

From his window enclosed perch in a six-story skyscraper overlooking the busy city of Neu Lorien, a man quietly smoked his pipe as he looked down on the city from his office.

This man was none other than Brocar Statfield, a successful news manager for the Global News Company and now the head of the recently established Paradis Correspondence Team.

His peaceful routine was interrupted by a sudden knock on the door, and he sighed irritably. "Come in!" He called,

As soon as he said that, a woman practically toppled in. She was short with rounded glasses, her bangs were messily tied to the sides of her face.

"Miss Caterina." Brocar addressed her with a bored tone.

"M-Mister Statfield!" The woman straightened, "You wanted to see me sir?"

"Yes." Brocar turned her chair toward her, "Caterina Stardust, a rather pretty name. You graduated from a Northern university called Adel with a Journalism degree last year at twenty years old. You applied for this company…three times before being accepted. And you're currently in the Editorial Department, although you've regularly lobbied your superiors for a transfer to independent correspondence."

"Yes sir." The woman stood up straighter, "It's been my dream to be a journalist for ages. I graduated top of my class at Adel and-"

"Yes, yes I've heard it all before." Brocar said dismissively, "Listen. I'll keep things blunt here. You were at the very bottom of almost every list I looked at. But no sane journalist would consider taking up the task I've been assigned."

Caterina gulped, but stayed silent.

"I've been tasked with correspondence about none other than Paradis Island." Brocar finished, "And I need foreign correspondents. But yet again, no sane journalist would ever consider going to that island." He spat the last two words out as if they were a bad taste on his tongue.

Caterina's hopes fell, it was what she'd expected all along. She'd been moved from one rock-bottom job to another. A correspondent all but in name.

"I tried telling them it was pointless. But the management wouldn't hear it. Paradis has made a splash you see, and people are tired of hearing about Marley and the Mid-East." He scoffed with the irony, people were more worried about the Eldians overseas than the ones enslaved at home.

"Why…should I accept sir?" Caterina asked tentatively,

"Because you have no other choice, woman." Brocar snapped, before smoking the pipe again and lowering his voice into a calm but condescending tone "I have your entire file. No one else cares to bring you into correspondence. I'm your sole ticket into any sort of reputable position in the GNC, so you will cooperate."

Caterina looked down, "Yes…sir."

Brocar got up, "Good! Good." The man clapped his hands, "Thankfully, we happen to have transport pre-arranged for you. So you depart in two days!"

'Two days?! I may as well fall off the face of the map!' Caterina wanted to shout, but instead, she only said two words

"Yes…sir."

"It's what you asked for really." A woman with fluffy blonde hair was powdering her face in a public bathroom mirror.

"How so?" Caterina sighed, looking at her friend.

"Greed, my dear." The woman replied, "You had a comfortable, well-paying job with the editorials department. If you'd let me polish you up a bit you'd be very pretty as well. And the fact you're not even seeing a man yet…do you wish to die a spinster?"

"Trade my career for a desk job or being chained to a cooktop?"

"You make it sound like the end of the world. It's not all as bad as you propose. Why waste your life pursuing an impossible hobby?"

Caterina rolled her eyes, "But still, to leave in a mere two days? Even you must think that's unfair."

"Of course it is, but that's Brocar Statfield for you. Bad idea to get involved with men like him. In fact…" Rosa lowered her voice as if he could come around the corner any second, "...I heard he was accused of sexual harrassment in his old correspondence branch."

"No!" Caterina breathed in horror,

"Yes! According to rumor it was some of the secretaries of the more affluent reporters." Rosa said scandalously, "In a way, you lucked out since you won't be seeing much of him."

Caterina shivered, perhaps she was asking for too much and was paying the price.

Mitras, Paradis Island

"It's really her? Dina Fritz…the woman from your father's journals?" Alto whispered, and Eren nodded

Dina scanned the trio, "You look like…them." She said at last,

Historia stepped forward, "I am Historia Reiss, Kaiserin within the Walls." She extended her hand towards Dina, and she took it.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Kaiserin Reiss." Dina said smoothly,

Historia nodded, "Accompanying me are none other than Alto Burke, my trusted brother and a General within the Eldian Military, and Eren Jäger, the current holder of the Attack Titan."

Dina focused on Eren, "Jaeger…? You can't mean…!"

"Yes." Eren stepped forward, "Grisha Jaeger was my father."

Dina almost collapsed onto a chair. "Figures…you look so much like him…"

Alto and Historia looked at each other, and decided to make a quiet exit.

"So she isn't lying?" Nile asked,

"No. Eren confirmed it." Historia told them,

"This calls a whole new problem into question." Pyxis stated, "We have no idea of the true intentions of Dina and her loyalists."

"Are you saying they may wish to seize power on the island?" Historia asked,

"It is a distinct possibility." Pyxis stated,

"Then we turn her over to the Marleyans! She was one of the Restorationist leaders right?!" One MP shouted,

"Not an option. Doing so will exacerbate tensions between the immigrants and the native Eldians. We won't undo our hard earned progress just to quench a small welling of paranoia." Alto shot back,

In the back of the room, Rosalie raised a hand. "Permission to speak?"

"Granted." Historia nodded,

"I don't think Lady Dina has the capability to launch a coup of Paradis, and she knows it." Rosalie stated, "I've been watching her and her Restorationists for a while now. They haven't been arming themselves to fight us at all, otherwise I would've called Pyxis and we wouldn't be dealing with this mess."

"So what is her goal then?" Nile asked,

"She wants support. I believe her true goal is to continue the work of the Restorationists and begin an uprising in Marley." Rosalie stated,

"So to her, we're a means to an end." Historia summed up,

"But…she could also be our means to an end." Rosalie countered, "She could be key to rebuilding a Pro-Paradis Restorationist movement."

Eren and Dina merely stared at each other for a moment, before she finally said:

"How…How did Grisha die?" She asked tentatively.

"I inherited his titan six years ago." Eren said calmly, "The last time I saw him…he was somewhat frantic…but at peace. Maybe he was tired of it all, and had finally found someone to carry on the legacy of him and the Restorationists."

"Of course." Dina scoffed, "We failed. We failed our comrades. We failed the Eldian people. We failed our own family."

Eren stepped forward, "My turn to ask questions. Six years ago…do you remember when you first came in the walls?̈"

Dina scrunched her face, "Why do you ask?"

"Just answer."

"Fine…I remember some things. I remember entering the wall and passing the body of the Colossal Titan. Then I remember picking up…people. No faces." She looked up at Eren, "Did I…eat someone close to you?"

Eren merely looked at her, and Dina looked down. "I see." She replied, "I'm sorry." She remained silent for a while, before looking at Eren. "How old are you?"

"Sixteen."

"You're…young." Dina said, "Grisha remarried?"

"Yes. A woman named Carla was my mother. Carla Jaeger."

Dina nodded, "I suppose you're wondering why I came here. And your friends left to determine what to do with me."

"Yes."

"I'll put it simply - We need your help." Dina said, "The Restorationists and I…we agree we can't let what we started go unfinished. There might be comrades out there…still hiding across the sea. We can't abandon them."

"You want us to attack Marley?"

"In due time. I didn't survive as long as I did by being hasty." Dina shook her head, "No. I want support, Eren. Send us across the sea, give us weapons. I remember fighting your soldiers, that much I do. You have the equipment to take down Marley."

"That isn't my decision to make." Eren stated, standing up and turning to leave.

Before he left, he paused and said:

"However…I will keep moving forward, until my enemies are destroyed."

"So Lady Dumarque was right. She wants us to support her in a war against Marley." Erwin noted,

"Doing so would be risky." Historia analyzed, "If we were discovered to be supporting rebels outright, this could launch us into a premature war with Marley."

"But if it's successful, we can severely destabilize Marley." Rosalie countered, "Marley has a large number of Eldian units within its military. If we can take those out of the equation at the right moment, we could cripple their military."

"The plan, all in all, has its risks and drawbacks." Erwin stated, "However, Rosalie is right. From the intelligence she has gathered, Marley largely relies on its large Eldian population to keep its empire afloat. We take that out of the equation and the whole structure will collapse."

Historia looked at Alto, who nodded.

"Very well, as Kaiserin of Paradis Island, I officially launch the beginning of Operation Usurper!"
