XIV By Primus He Adores Her

"–Lennox Family is pleading for the public's help in locating their adoptive daughter who has been missing since Tuesday, December twenty-seven of two thousand–eleven," A female reporter's voice says through Soundwave's report, followed by a male reporter who spoke, "Just in, Major William Lennox tells us about this search." The audio was then changed and Persephone recognized Lennox's voice. "She said she wanted to go shopping for New Year's outfit alone, so my wife and I let her. After that... she never came back. We were already panicking. Then Thursday came, Friday came, Saturday came so something was completely off."

How?

How did they know that sort of information about her?

"Twenty three year old woman Persephone Villamora—known by her family members as Sephie—was last seen on January six, leaving the premises of a mall in North Dakota. An officer had claimed to have been in contact with the woman driving a Mack truck that had looked like quote unquote 'Something from The Walking Dead' as she was caught speeding on the road heading North at the time. Persephone is five foot and two inches tall. Weighs ninety pounds, and has brown eyes and dark hair. She was last seen wearing a red oversized sweater, black pants, and black boots. If you have any contact with Persephone or any information of her whereabouts, please contact–"

The audio fades into nothing as Persephone stares at Soundwave with a horrified look.

Her hands trembled, confused at what she was hearing.

"How do they know me?" Persephone asked, scared as she turned to Megatron. "Does this mean we'll have to leave this place?"

Despite the lack of roof over her head , Persephone didn't mind being in this place. She didn't want to go. Her being tied to all these machines would only slow them down—she would slow them down.

Persephone didn't want them to leave her here.

She didn't want him to leave her here.

The warlord's look darkened with every second. Was he mad at her? She didn't have any contact with the Autobots, much less their human allies. So, how the hell did they know those bits of information on her?

She had to say something. Anything at this point so he wouldn't misunderstand and yell at her like last time.

But what should she say?

"Do you recognise who this William Lennox is?" Megatron asked, surprisingly calm; and that sent a shiver down her spine.

To someone normal they would think his voice would be cool and collective but if they had encountered someone who could hide anger perfectly, then they would pick up the faintest bite of ire within Megatron's voice.

Persephone licked her dried lips and answered, "I do," she watches his unchanging reaction, "Lennox is... he's an ally of the Autobots. He's Ironhide's charge, but I never met him in any way, although; his character is known within the franchise."

The warlord turns to her, his eyes boring into her very soul and Persephone can't help the blush that forms on her face when he pets her.

"I wonder how the Autobots knew of your existence," Megatron hums, his finger gently petting her head. "I don't know what they want with you, but surely you'll understand why I simply can't just hand you over to them, yes?"

"Of course!" Persephone immediately answered. "I'm your pet. I understand much that I should remain by your side and even if you do give me to them... I'll fight tooth and nail to go back to you."

"Good girl."

His words sends her heart fluttering, the machine didn't hide that. Either way, she didn't care. Not now, at least. Megatron told her to not hide what she was feeling and even if she was embarrassed to act out on them... he literally gave her the 'go' signal.

And if she had known such bliss to be his, Persephone would've done so sooner.

Maybe he wasn't capable of 'love'. Maybe the highest form of love that he can give her was to be his pet, and she didn't mind.

Not at all.

Not one bit.

"Lord Megatron, perhaps we should find out why they are attempting to find Persephone," Starscream suggested, throwing a brief concerned look on the sickly human. "After all, why are they so insistent on finding her?"

"You do have a point." Megatron rumbled, his voice deep in contemplation. "I wonder if they know something about whatever it is that's happening to you." He paused for a moment. "They know about your existence but not your exact whereabouts. So, that means they don't know where we are."

"We could start with finding out the reason how they know about her. What do you think, Lord Megatron?" Barricade, throwing a wary glance at Starscream.

"That could benefit us, however, we don't have the means to infiltrate to gather intel on them. They don't know where we are, so as long it stays that way then we don't need to do that... yet." The warlord answered before he turned to the scientist. "Shockwave, what are the results of your diagnosis?"

Persephone noticed her arms had grown thinner especially every single day that passed, her appetite was slowly but surely disappearing, and that somewhat terrified her.

"I may have found a reason why they're looking for her," Shockwave said, "The specimen is growing weak, the CNA is slowly replacing the human DNA according to what I have seen."

"How is that even possible?" Barricade asked with a confused look on his face.

"You would be surprised at how things could occur in the field of science," Shockwave stated as a matter of fact. "Not only that, but the energon in her system contains radiation. Upon closer inspection, it seems that the femme is some sort of vessel for the Allspark."

Megatron glances at her briefly before turning back to the scientist. "And how are you certain about that?"

"I managed to retrieve Scalpels data before he had perished," the one-eyed cybertronian explained, "He was able to extract the necessary intel from the Witwicky boy's processor when he had absorbed the Allspark temporarily years ago. I compared the data with hers and had come to the conclusion of my research. However, in her case, it seems that it is modifying her form to properly accommodate itself permanently. In doing so, it is continuously damaging her at a very slow rate."

She gaped.

"Now, wait just a second! Back up!" Persephone says. "How the hell is that even possible? I have never been in contact with an Allspark or some shit so why would this happen to me?"

It sounded so absurd, even for her. Persephone would have understood if she had made contact with the Allspark or maybe even the Matrix of Leadership, but she didn't. So, that theory was wack.

"Perhaps," the scientist offered, "but your heart has been replaced with a spark and the energon is slowly but surely replacing the blood in your veins. That's the reason why your veins are glowing and why you look very sick."

Megatron asked, "Will she live?"

Shockwave answered, "That is not certain."

He growled as a snarl appeared on his face. "When I told you to make sure she lives, I wasn't asking. It was an order, Shockwave," Megatron barked as he stood up, towering over him.

"I am aware, Lord Megatron. However, this is the first time I had encountered an organic presenting signs of the Allspark."

She was scared.

Persephone asked, "Are there any occurrences where an organic was picked to be an Allspark vessel?" Her fingers played with the hem of the blanket as she bit her lip.

"Not that I know of." Was his answer. "However, if Lord Megatron gave me permission to experiment on you further, perhaps we could find how it could turn out–"

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Megatron bellowed, grabbing the scientist by his neck. "I will not allow you to conduct whatever experiment you have in your processors upon her."

Silence dropped over the atmosphere as the two beings stared at each other. Starscream and Persephone looked at each other, his head nudging to their direction as if to say 'Break them apart! Megatron would listen to you!' and she answered with a shrug as if she answered 'I don't know jack shit!'.

Persephone pursed her lips as everyone held their breath.

"Excuse me," Her voice pierced through the tension, coming out of her lips in a squeak. "Shouldn't I get a say in this thing since it involves me?"

"Absolutely not!" He growled again. "I will not risk you dying early because he has gone too far with his 'research'!"

"You have to!"

"It is for your own good!"

"Gago! I decide that!"

"You are no use to me if you are dead!"

"We don't have a choice!"

She coughed, her hand gripping the sheets. Afterwards, she took in a deep breath; her chest feeling heavy. "It was my decision to help you," Persephone reminded him. "You get your Cybertron and I would get to live out my cottagecore dreams... No sacrifice, no victory."

Megatron glares at her, his fists shaking. He looks away for a moment, closing his optics.

She held her breath.

He finally looks at her with an unreadable expression before turning to the scientist. "Pray to Primus that you succeed in your endeavors, Shockwave," Megatron threatened. "If she offlines, it is on you and you will pay with your life."

"I will not disappoint you, Lord Megatron." Shockwave gives him a small nod of his head. Persephone could hear the faintest hint of joy in his words.

Soundwave steps forward. "Permission to speak, Lord Megatron?" The warlord gives him a nod. "We have a means to infiltrate the Autobot Headquarters. There is still one device Shockwave possesses to attach on one of the organics as one of its accessories."

"Question is, how are we going to find an organic that can just walk up to Autobot base?" Barricade asks as he points to Persephone. "Obviously it can't be her since she's... you know..."

She didn't expect that one day she would see Barricade do jazz hands. It was funny to say the least which made her laugh at his actions.

"And we certainly can't use the Witwicky boy since he would, no doubt, have the scout trailing him." Barricade points out, crossing his arms.

Persephone watched as the metal on Soundwave's chest moved, pieces of metal moving and crawling up his arms; showing the Mercedes logo on his chest. The thing transforms into a bird that looks like a vulture, with metal wings stretching out as it perches on his arm.

Laserbreak.

"We can send in his former mate." The sinister glee in Laserbreak's voice did not go unnoticed. "The scout visits her after his little trip to the Witwicky boy."

"Why not just use Sam?" Persephone asked. "It worked before, surely it can work again."

"He is of no use to us," Laserbreak hissed. "It would be suspicious, especially when he showed signs of not wanting to be part of the war. His former mate, on the other hand, had been begging to let her help them."

"And you know this how?" She asked.

"Soundwave always keeps tabs on almost everyone here on Earth," Barricade informed Persephone. "Including you, human."

"Do you have the target's coordinates?" Starscream crossed his arms.

"Certainly." Soundwave smugly replied.

Megatron grins. "You have done me great honor in your actions," the warlord mused. "Capture this human. We will make our move once we have it."

Persephone says, "Is it Mikaela Banes? Please don't hurt her... She's nice."

Megatron turns to look at her, raising a brow. "I suppose you know her too?" He wonders, waiting for her answer.

She smiled. "I do," Persephone confirmed. "In fact, I am very fond of her. She's so badass."

Persephone felt the rush of happiness at the thought of Mikaela being around. As much as she loved Megatron and the rest of the Decepticons, it would be nice to have another girl around.

She can't wait to finally meet her.

Megatron watches her sleep, her soft snore music to his ears. He would smile occasionally when she moves in her sleep.

Such a tiny human.

Fragile.

No wonder the Autobots wanted her.

If Shockwave was correct, then it meant that she could harness the power of the Allspark. Persephone could create and command an army. He could use her to create an army that could turn the tides in their favor.

Had it been any cybertronian who became the Allspark vessel, Megatron would've killed them immediately.

He knew about bits and pieces about the Prime's Mark, how it manifests itself and joining the Prime creating an unstoppable force. It rarely happens, but it does exist. If memory serves him right, then the Primes who had sparkmates were only three.

Persephone was organic, so that didn't count.

He wouldn't kill her for something she is not. Even if by some sick, twisted ball that Primus throws at him that she somehow bears the Mark then he would give her a swift and painless death. It would be the least he can do fir her help.

But that could never happen.

Not when he has secured her undying devotion to him.

Megatron could see in the way she acted, in the way she looked at him—he could see that she loved him. And he wouldn't admit it, not even to Primus himself, that the thrill he gets when she clings on his digits. The way her optics seemed to glow when she adoringly gazed at him. The way a cute smile would–

Cute?

His thoughts catches him off guard. Did he think that she was cute? If he were to judge her physical attraction in human terms, then perhaps he would strongly agree that she is 'cute'.

Personally, he found her little human self to be... charming. The insects of this planet were pathetic, disgusting... but her?

She was not just tolerable, but Megatron actually finds himself being fond of her.

He was certainly not feeling love towards her, but with how endearing she was as a person the warlord couldn't help but to somewhat care about her.

She had become his friend.

His companion.

Persephone kept him sane in the midst of his isolation and the promise they both made to each other—to watch Earth crumble as he ruled over Cybertron—was what pushed him to keep her alive.

For an organic, Megatron was certain that she would look pretty resting upon his lap. And with those wide innocent-looking eyes of hers... Oh, he can't wait to corrupt her.

To pull out the darkness that lay dormant within her.

He wanted to see her true potential.

Her capabilities.

She would prove to be a powerful ally.

Megatron's brows furrowed at how little she had become. Her face that used to have plump cheeks had grown a little shallow, her optics had become slightly sunken. The spark beneath her chasis, however, glowed brighter than before. The energon in her veins shines with a purple hue under her skin.

She had been nothing but respectful.

And although he knew he had screamed at her to keep her in line—so she would know her place—he felt guilty in doing so.

"Well... yeah. You haven't screamed at me in days, you're taking care of me while I'm sick even though I'm technically considered as a soldier."

The warlord winced at the memory.

In the time he spent with her, Megatron had concluded that she was never fit to be a shoulder. Persephone seemed so fragile, especially with the way she jumps at his sudden movements.

As if she was startled.

It made sense considering the environment she grew up in.

He can't help but to yearn for her trust, for her to turn to him in her woes, for her to cling and look at him adoringly.

Megatron was certainly fond of the human.

: Lord Megatron, we have captured the human femme. Starscream has her so she would have no way of escaping unless she falls:

He smirked at the news Barricade delivered to him.

:Well done. Immediately return to base. Leave no trace of her being abducted. Make it look like a human had been the cause of her disappearance:

The warlord here's Soundwave's chuckle over the commlink.

:Understood. Leave no prisoners, only take the trophies:

And with that, Megatron anticipated their return with glee.

By the time Starscream lands with the rest of the Decepticons behind him, the human femme—Mikaela Banes if he remembered correctly—was screaming and squirming in his grasps, the night had deepened into the day after.

"Lord Megatron, I have brought you the girl." Starscream grins smugly as he bows to him.

"We brought the girl," Barricade corrected, glaring at the seeker. "We made sure that there was no evidence of Decepticon activity."

"FUCKING LET GO OF ME!" It snarled, banging its fists in vain. The panic in its voice was undeniable.

Megatron chuckled at the human's pathetic cries as he enclosed his digits on the humans. "It seems we have crossed paths once more, girl."

The sheer terror in its eyes has him reeling in delight. It was nice to know that humanity still fears him.

He chuckled, "The plan can be put into action now." Megatron's grin is sinister. "You will aid us in gathering intel from the Autobots."

Its brows furrowed, lips curled upwards as it looked at him with a dark look. "LIKE HELL I WILL–"

"It wasn't a question of whether you will or not," He sneers at it, chuckling at how silly the thing is, "you never had a choice to begin with, silly girl."

"I would rather die," It spat.

Megatron tilts the girl's helm upwards with the sharp ends of his digits. "You are no use to me if you are dead–"

"Why are you holding her like that?"

Everyone turns their head to the small berth surrounded by human machines where Persephone had risen from her slumber. Megatron notes the fury in her eyes, a stoic expression on her face.

"Ah, it seems you have awakened, little one," the warlord cooed at her, letting go of the other girl's helm to pet Persephone.

The femme stops his servos by resting hers on his digit. "Don't you 'little one' me. Why are you holding her like that?" Persephone repeated her question, barely containing the ire in her voice. "Answer me, Megatronous."

A shiver runs down his spine both in delight and fear when she calls him by his full name. He had forgotten that she knows almost everything about him.

He had forgotten about his real name at all; a mere echo of the past.

The stoic expression—a façade he soon realised—on her face disappears, replaced with a terrifying look. Her optics ablaze with rage and her opticbrow cocked up like a blade; those eyes of hers glowing a bright purple like flames, as if she was incinerating him right where he stands.

For the first time, he didn't expect Persephone—a literal human—would give him a look that made the warlord wince.

Megatron was right.

There was indeed a darkness within her... and from her looks alone, it was an unforgivable force.

Her human features made her terrifying look soft a tiny bit, but Megatron shifted uncomfortably beneath her gaze. There's a hint of hysteria in her optics, like she was about to suddenly regain her strength just to strangle him simply for conversing with another femme.

He glances at the other girl and back to the femme, before putting two and two together.

How adorable of her to be jealous.

Megatron laughed, handing the human girl to Barricade who secured the squirming human in his grasps as Megatron smiled at Persephone.

"Calm down, little one," He softly says to her, a contrast to his sinister smirk earlier, "I was simply conversing with our pawn. That's all."

"It didn't look like it to me," She snapped at him and it felt like he just got smacked in the head. "Diyos ko po," Persephone laughed humourlessly, the craze look in her optics shining through with her ire, "Basta lalaki talaga… parepareho kayo, kahit taga ibang planeta. Pambihira talaga!" She scoffed, rolling her optics and closing them; successfully looking away from him.

He frowned when she crossed her arms, childishly looking away while clenching her jaw. He perfectly understood what she said, seeing as he downloaded every human language in case they use a different dialect to 'hide' something from them.

It surprised the warlord when her words managed to pierce his spark. The feeling seemed to hurt him more than the previous wounds he had obtained during the war.

Megatron wasn't interested in anyone but her.

He activated his holomatter avatar, approaching her slowly.

"Look at me," his voice soft as his servos hovers over her cheek, "please." The desperation in his voice bleeding out of his mouth.

When she turned her head, he could see little diamonds upon her lashes; and when she finally—finally—opened her eyes to look at him, her tears fell from her optics. Her furrowed brows turned upwards, her lips trembling.

The darkness he had witnessed earlier had disappeared. In its place was sadness and jealousy.

Megatron didn't like it when she cried.

He does not understand why it physically hurts him to see her cry.

"You need not be jealous, little one," Megatron says to her fondly, his servo cupping her face, "Haven't I told you that I am interested in no one but you?"

"Yes, but–"

"Then why don't you believe my words?"

"It's hard to trust people, especially if your partners keep leaving you for someone 'better'."

Megatron frowned at her words. Who would hurt her like that? He didn't know why he thought of it, but he let himself... do an action he had favoured to do to her.

He intertwined his servo in hers, leaning in close to her as his other hand cups her face. She leans into his touch while closing her optics.

Megatron closes the distance between them.

The warlord gently, ever so softly rests his forehead on hers. At that moment, he didn't care if the Decepticons saw him. He could always say it was because she's his pet.

He can do whatever he wishes to her.

Whatever he pleased.

So he enjoys this moment of gentle physical contact. For her to see that she had no reason to run away or to turn against him. Just resting their forehelms together, comforting his little human.

It sent an exhilarating shock within his spark and throughout his body.

It was almost so... intimate that his cooling fans kicked in despite the highly cold of the winter season.

"Jealousy looks cute on you, but I despise hurting you like that." Megatron's voice was gentle, almost like a whisper as if they were sharing a secret. "Believe me when I say that I am interested in no one but you... Persephone, I adore you."

Does he truly adore her?

It's a lie. The warlord tells himself.

It's a lie to keep her by my side... but deep down, Megatron found it to be true.

Persephone pulls away from him. Her servo leaves his and he notes the loss of warmth that his digits had immediately looked for. Instead, she holds his face in her tiny little hands.

Megatron finds himself pressing her servos upon his face, leaning into her touch. Loving the way dopamine pumped in his system, in doing so; the warlord almost finds it addicting.

And then he sees it.

The deranged look in her eyes that has him frozen on the spot, a wrathful smile upon her lips.

"Megatronous, if I find out that you're lying—that you say you are only interested in me only to find out that you're 'interested' in someone else... I will null our agreement," She laughed softly. "And then... and then I'll find a way to break off your fucking pinky for going against your word and find a way to kill you myself." Persephone says it with so much conviction that for a minute he believes her himself.

Then the warlord knew she would never do that.

Not when he had reeled her in close to him, having her neck-deep in the feeling he had coaxed out of her.

And he knew exactly what to say.

"Believe me, Persephone," he reassured her, smiling lovingly, "I have no intention of doing that. You are... very dear to me." Megatron turned to her servo to place a kiss on her palm as if to prove his words.

After all, humans find such actions to be endearing.

Megatron finally rips himself from her grasps, petting her head before placing his forehelm upon hers for a moment before he deactivated his holomatter avatar.

The cybertronian tyrant turns to his soldiers, looking down on the human in Barricade's servos. Noting the confused and horrified look on its face.

Ah, right. Humans aren't too fond of having their own kin loving an alien species. Megatron watched it look at his pet and back to him, he glanced at Persephone only to find out that she was scrutinizing him.

His simple actions have caused her to trust him less.

Megatron makes a note to fix that.

For now, he'll need to put his plan in action. "Soundwave, see to it that the human knows exactly what to say," Megatron gave out his orders, "Shockwave, modify the device so that the Autobots does not detect it immediately. Barricade, guard the insect; make sure it doesn't escape. Starscream, see to it that the Autobot scout believes the scene you all left behind." He gave a proud smile. "Decepticons, in no time, we will have the high ground. Primus smiles upon us."

Megatron dismisses them as the human screamed and tried to escape in vain. He then turns to Persephone, a worried look on her face.

He had to make sure that she did believe every word he said. After all, it would be easy if the Allspark vessel herself was willing to help him out.

Besides, Megatron wanted to spend some time with his pet before leaving her side for a long amount of time.

By Primus he adores her.
