Amenadiel stood outside Heaven's cells with a few of his siblings. He and Remiel had brought back the being they found on Earth and put her in a cell. They didn't know who or what she was, so of course they couldn't allow her to roam around.
"What did it say?" Gabriel asked.
"Not much, but she referred to me by name," Amenadiel said. That unnerved him. How had this being known who he was? He had never encountered her before.
"How did this being get to Earth? It's barely even inhabitable," Samael said. He knew more about Earth than most of his siblings. It was a project he had been working on with his father. They were trying to make sure that it could sustain life again after most of its last inhabitants were destroyed.
"Could father have created a new being we don't know about and placed her there?" Remiel asked Samael. He would know better than anyone since, aside from their father, he was in charge of the project.
"Father would have informed me if he had, Remy," Amenadiel said. It irked him that she had deferred to Samael. Amenadiel was their father's second command.
Samael rolled his eyes at his brother's obvious jealousy. For some reason, it bothered his brother that he had been asked to work on this project with their father. "Anything is possible, but I highly doubt it. Father has not mentioned anything about putting more creatures on the planet at this time. It is barely able to sustain the few creatures that are already there."
"Then how did this being get there? And how did it know who Amenadiel was?" Gabriel asked.
None of them had an answer. It was very disturbing to all of them that there was a being out there when they had no idea who she was or what her intentions were.
"We have to find that out. That's why I brought her back here. It's worth mentioning that after I slowed Time, I rendered her unconscious. It didn't take much. She appears to be very fragile," Amenadiel said.
"We should inform Father of this," Remiel said.
"No. We do not need to bother him yet. We should try to figure this out for ourselves," Amenadiel said.
"Have you lost your mind? Father would want to be informed of this," Samael told him. There were some things that were considered small enough for them to handle themselves, but this wasn't one of them. This was a being none of them knew anything about. Their father needed to know about it.
"Father is busy. There is no reason to concern him with this, but we don't even know anything yet," Amenadiel said.
"The fact that we don't know anything is why we should concern him with it," Samael argued.
"Samael is right. Father could shed some light onto what has happened. At the very least, we won't know for sure he didn't create this meeting unless we ask him about it," Gabriel pointed out.
"Father didn't create it. He would have told me. He would want us to figure this out for ourselves. He would want us to anticipate what his will is," Amenadiel said.
Samael huffed in annoyance. "You always do this? You always think you know what Father wants."
"I do. I am Father's second command, not you. It is my job to know what he wants and to act on it," Amenadiel said almost smugly.
"No, it's your job to act in his stead if he can't, or if he doesn't feel he needs to. Your job to handle the little things. This is not little," Samael said with a glare.
"Guys, stop fighting. That won't help us figure this out," Gabriel said.
Amenadiel continued to glare at his little brother. "This is my decision, not yours. We will not be informing Father. Now go see this being and use your gift to see what she wants."
"Allow me to make something clear to you, Amenadiel. I will go speak to this being now, but if I find that she is a threat, I will tell Father about it. I don't care what authority you think you have," Samael told him before walking towards the cells.

Chloe woke up on a hard floor. Once again, she didn't know where she was or how she got there. The last thing she remembered was speaking to Amenadiel and a woman she hadn't seen before. Amenadiel didn't seem to have any recollection of her.
Chloe stood up and took in her surroundings. She seemed to be in a room that had what almost looked like several cells in it, only instead of bars, they were surrounded by clear glass walls. Chloe found herself trapped in one of them. The most concerning part was that there didn't seem to be any doors to the cell. It was literally just glass all around her.
Chloe immediately walked over and went to touch the glass, but a familiar voice stopped her.
"Don't touch it," a voice called out.
Chloe turned to see Lucifer standing across the room, only he looked different. He looked the same facial features wise, but he was wearing weird clothing. It looked almost like a dress or a robe. It definitely wasn't something she'd known Lucifer, or anyone to wear.
"It gives off a small shock when a prisoner touches it," Samael told her.
"Lucifer, thank God. What the hell is going on?" Chloe asked.
Samael frowned. This human had addressed him by his title. How had she known his title? Then again, how had she known who Amenadiel was. This being knew much that she shouldn't. "You look much like us, but I know you're not a celestial."
Chloe sighed. "Come on, Lucifer. I can't deal with your metaphors right now. Tell me what's going on. Why am I in some weird cell?"
"I don't know what that even means. And my name is Samael. Lucifer is my title, though I don't know how you know it," Samael said.
"What? What are you talking about?" Chloe asked confused.
Samael sighed. "Well, this doesn't seem to be working, so I'll just get straight to it. What do you desire?" he asked as he looked straight into her eyes.
Chloe rolled her eyes. "You know that your trick doesn't work on me, Lucifer. The only thing I desire is to get home!"
"That's not possible," Samael said in astonishment. This being had not been affected by his gift. No being, other than his mother and father, had been immune to his gift
Without thinking, Chloe banged on the glass, something she instantly regretted, as she felt a shock course through her body. "Ah!"
"I told you not to do that. It's designed to ensure that powerful beings don't try to break through the glass," Samael said. He had no desire to see her hurt, provided that she wasn't a threat, which was why he warned her.
The pain only lasted a few seconds before it subsided. It actually wasn't as powerful as it could've been. A taser had a more powerful charge. It seemed to just be a deterrent, not something designed to cause actual harm. "Why are you doing this, Lucifer? Let me out of here." Lucifer seemed to know an awful lot about the prison she was stuck in. Plus, he was on the outside while she wasn't. That led her to believe he had the power to let her out. Why wasn't he using it?
"I can't do that. I have no idea who or what you are and what threat you might pose. And I've told you my name is Samael. Lucifer is my title is the Lightbringer. I wonder how you even know it though," Samael said.
"What are you talking about? Of course, you know who I am. We've been partners for more than a year," Chloe said. She was starting to grow very concerned. Neither Lucifer nor Amenadiel seemed to know who she was, but how could that be? What the hell was happening to her? Was she having some sort of vivid dream?
"I'm afraid you're mistaken. I have never seen you before. The only thing I know about you is that you were found in a place you shouldn't have been, on my father's planet. Can you explain how you got to Earth?" Samael asked.
Chloe huffed in frustration. "I got there the way any other human gets there!"
"Human? What is that? That's a term I've never heard before," Samael said.
"Come on, Lucifer. This is not a joke!" Chloe yelled. She was starting to wonder if he was playing some kind of trick on her. If that was the case, she did not find it funny.
"You need to calm yourself. If my siblings hear you yell, they may think you've done something to harm me. You will not like their reaction to that," Samael warned her. He didn't think she was any threat to him at this point, but his siblings wouldn't know that.
"Look, will you just tell me where we are?" Chloe asked. She needed to know at least that much. This whole situation was starting to scare her.
"The Silver City," Samael told her. He didn't see the harm of her knowing where they were.
Chloe could remember him speaking of the Silver City before. It was what he had referred to as Heaven. That only frustrated her more. He was still using his damned metaphors at time like this. "Damn it, Lucifer. Cut it out. You know, I don't believe in Heaven, Hell, or God.
"You what?" Samael asked in astonishment. He couldn't fathom any being that didn't believe in his father. How could such a being even exist? It was impossible to him. "How can you say such a thing? My father is the creator of this entire universe. He is the beginning of almost everything."
Chloe snorted. "You almost sound like you worship him. Last I knew, you hated your father."
Samael was furious at this beings words. What she accused him of was terrible. He loved his father very much. "How dare you say such a thing? That is a vicious lie, and the one thing I will not tolerate is lies!"
Chloe took a step back. He'd never spoken to her like this before. She'd seen him like this with suspects and others that he took offense to, but never her. She didn't think he'd hurt her, though. "I didn't mean to upset you, but you've told me how much you hate your father."
"You will cease with these lies!" Samael snarled before walking away from the cells. If he stayed any longer, he might do something he would regret.
"Lucifer, don't leave, please," Chloe pleaded with him. This whole thing was starting to freak her out. Lucifer was the only one she trusted, even if she didn't understand what was going on with him. Unfortunately, he ignored her and kept going.
Chloe slid down to the floor and sat down. There was nothing more she could do but hope Lucifer would come back.
