That night, at the temple.

Stella was exhausted. Who knew being a Xiaolin warrior can be so hard? She barely had the energy to eat her meal before trudging back to her room to sleep.

Everyone watched her plop down on her mat and fall asleep.

"She really took it like a champ huh?" Asked Clay

"If you ask me, she should've trained harder. If she's so powerful, then this shouldn't be hard for her." Said Omi

"Cueball's gotta point. Shouldn't she be more advanced than us since she isn't human?" Said Raimundo.

"Knock it off you two! She did good today. That's all that matters. " Said Kimiko, glaring at them.

" "Good" isn't what she should be. She should be stronger and better than all of us. " pressed Raimundo.

"She's not some robot that can automatically do things better, Rai" Said Kimiko

"Look I'm just saying. I didn't think fairies could be so weak." He said as they all walked out.

They didn't realize they woke Stella up and she heard the whole thing.

Tears were forming, but she wasn't about to break down. Not here. She made a makeshift dummy out of her clothes to make it seem like she was sleeping still, and she snuck out into the night. She ran out the temple gates, transforming into her fairy form, and flew deep into the woods till she couldn't fly anymore.

She reached a clearing in the woods, where she went back to her robes. She shot out a ray of light at a tree. It singed the bark. She shot again at a different tree, it cut deep into the bark. Soon she was shooting light all over the place, burning some and others cut through all the way.

Then a cool blue light filled the forrest as she broke down crying. They had these high expectations of her that she couldn't keep up. The blue light disintegrated the fires she caused. She just sat there crying, alone.

Meanwhile

Chase sensed something...odd. Someone was in his domain. But who? He ran out of his lair, and jumped off the cliff entrance and flew where the disturbance was coming from. 5 miles into his journey, he was where it came from. He landed, and crouched low, not wanting the intruder to see him. He heard...crying ? He followed the sound till he made it to the clearing.

There she was. The fairy girl. His eyes widened in surprise. What was she doing here? Does she know she's in his territory?

He stood up and cleared his throat.

"A-HEM."

The blonde girl lifted her head. She didn't see anyone.

"Who's there ?"

"Long way from the temple, don't you think?" Chase Asked, opening his eyes, that were red in the dark.

Stella gasped at the sudden eyes, but didn't move.

"I needed to get away from it."

"And do you realize you're trespassing on MY territory?"

"N-no." She stood up.

Damn it. Why does she look helpless and innocent? Chase thought. The blue light she was emitting had vanished and she was underneath the light of a waning moon. It brought out the shadows of her face, and made her look mysterious.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know. I'll go now." She closed her eyes and transformed back to her fairy form.

"No! That won't be necessary." Chase took a step out of the shadows, revealing who he was.

"It's you. From the showdown."

" The name is Chase Young."

" Yeah! I thought i heard Omi say that, although i thought it was Chris."

Chase felt a sting from that misunderstanding.

"Whatever. Who are you exactly?"

She changed back to her robes again.

"Princess Stella, of Solaria."

"Princess? Shouldn't you be in a castle or something then?"

"My parents think learning at the temple will help me grow stronger. My father was here when he was around my age, so I'm here too."

He couldn't think of anyone who she would resemble at the temple, but then again, he didn't pay attention to the Xiaolin monks until recently.

He walked over to examine her closer.

"So" he started, "You're really not from here?" He checked her up and down, paying attention to detail about her stature.

"Y-yes."

"And do you know how to use your powers?"

"I mean, yeah i went to school for it, but there's another level of magic I'm trying to accomplish here. I'm struggling at it badly." She explained.

"And What is that?"

"I don't think I'm suppose to tell you. You are on the side of evil."

Chase moved in closer, face to face with the fairy. She looked into his reptilian eyes in surprise. His golden ember eyes just dug deep into her soul.

"Just because we're on opposite sides, doesn't mean I can't teach you. " he said, thinking back when he taught omi and saying those exact words. He blasted a ray of darkness over her shoulder and spliced a tree in half, sending it back a few hundred yards. Stella gasped and watched in surprised at his power. She turned to him.

"I've been around awhile to master magic. Perhaps you'd like some pointers from me?"

"I don't know..."

He didn't want to lose her yet. He had to think of something quick.

"How about this? If I find the next Shen Gong Wu the next time one appears, you'll let me teach you. "

Stella thought for a moment. "Bringing another sheng Gong Wu back would impress the monks... and besides... " She looked over at Chase again, still waiting on a response. " He is kinda cute.."

"I'll think about." She said.

Chase smirked

"Very well then." He grabbed a piece of her hair and twirled it.

"Until we meet again, "Princess Stella " "

Stella blushed and was about to correct him about calling her princess, but he already vanished into thin air. She stood there confused, before changing and flying back to the temple.
