With Group 2…
"You did that so they could all be together right?" Ayame asked.
"Yeah, let them enjoy their unforeseen family reunion while it lasts," Inaho replied.
"I guess a good starting point is to figure out where we are exactly before finding the rest of the chaos emeralds," Tae suggested.
"Hmm, it's definitely not in this period. It must be within this universe across different periods and locations," Akinori said checking his yokai energy reader.
"You're right," Tae responded as she checked her yokai energy reader only for the two to have the same result.
"Wait, we can try using the chaos emerald we have and let it transport us to where we can find the remaining ones. Don't forget it can sense our thoughts," Touma said.
"Good thinking," Shin said as the other chaos emerald they had started to glow before transporting them. "Hmm, these sand structures seem like an alluring place for a chaos emerald to be here," he said as the group arrived at a location known as the Dusty Desert in the far future where there was no civilization.
"It's beautiful," Ayame said.
"But it appears that these pillars don't have what we're looking for," Inaho said.
"Be careful everyone. There seems to be a lot of quicksand," Touma warned as he stepped back in panic.
"How about over there?" Akinori suggested as he pointed to what seemed like a ruin that was somewhat submerged in the sand.
"Sounds good, let's hurry," Tae said as the group moved forward before occasionally getting the feeling that their feet were getting stuck within the abundant quicksand that impeded their progression. Not only that, to them, it seemed as if the sand pillars were trying to mess up with their minds.
"I feel like we've been walking in a daze," Ayame said feeling a bit exhausted.
"I'll try to see if this works," Tae said as she sent out a magic blast hoping to hit one of the sand pillars, to which it hit a few of them, causing them to break.
"Let me help too," Suu-san said as he slashed through the remaining sand pillars as both attacks seemed to make the pillars' powers stop working.
"Great job Tae. You too Suu-san," Shin said.
"Don't mention it," Tae replied.
"Man, that was close," Inaho said as the group finally reached the sunk ruin after several minutes. "We just need to figure out how we need to get inside," she said.
"Leave it to me," Touma said. "Possession, lend me your power," he said as he used his yokai watch ogre to transform into Yoshitsune.
"Did Touma transform?! That's so cool!" Inaho said.
"Yep, he sure did, as that's the main feature of the yokai watch ogre," Akinori replied as Yoshitsune focused his mind, aiming to pinpoint an entrance to the sunk ruin.
"I see it. Over here," he said as he slashed through the sand which caused a sand dune to appear causing the ground to expand beneath the group as everyone soon fell beneath the ground.
"Is everyone alright?" Akinori asked, to which everyone gave him a response indicating that they were alright. "I think that light looks like our target," he said to which the group soon went over to where the light was coming from.
Ahead of them, was a green light being radiated off an oh-so-familiar gemstone. "The chaos emerald," Tae said as she went to grab it. As soon as she did, the walls around the group started to crumble.
Without a moment to lose, Inaho pulled out a yokai medal. "Come on out my friend. Calling Mirapo. Yokai medal, do your thing," Inaho said as she summoned Mirapo. "Please teleport us out of here," she said.
"No problem," Mirapo said as it started to glow as everyone soon jumped through Mirapo to avoid getting trapped within the crumbling walls and sand.
"Thank you very much," Inaho said to her yokai friend as everyone else was taking a breather.
"Sorry to put all of you in danger," Tae said remorsefully as she now had the chaos emerald in her hand.
"Don't worry about it. At least we got what we needed and it's all thanks to you," Shin replied.
"You're welcome," Tae said somewhat nervously.
"I think we should now head to our next destination while also avoiding any further dangers here," Ayame suggested as the chaos emeralds this group now had soon teleported them out of there.
The group found themselves now in a beach area near to a place, being Soleanna, where the group was actually at Wave Ocean. There were some people who were spending the day around enjoying the water, which convinced the group to think they moved back in time at the very least.
"Based on my skills as a detective, I would say that the chaos emerald wouldn't be located in plain sight, especially in an area around here. I would say for starters, those lake caverns are more likely to have them hidden there," Inaho said after looking around the area for a bit.
"You work as a detective?" Akinori asked.
"Well, not as an officially licensed one, but back in my world, Usapyon and I have our own detective agency where we solve yokai cases," Inaho replied.
"What a coincidence. That's just like us back in our world," Ayame said.
"Really?! That's fantastic. Now let's go," Inaho said as the group soon reached the shores of the beach to where the caverns were right ahead as Inaho called again for Mirapo before asking it to transport them to the caverns on the other side, to which Mirapo was happy to do. The group soon entered the cavern where they found themselves walking up and down the place, hoping that that faint light that illuminated the cavern would lead them to another chaos emerald given the overall linear pathway of the cavern.
"That's weird, it seems to be a dead-end," Tae said as the group came across a lake.
"Wait a moment," Ayame said as she looked closer into the lake. "There seems to be a hidden pathway in the lake," she said.
"In that case, we'll need to head inside via the lake then," Touma said as the group soon jumped in before swimming to the end of the underwater entrance as they found themselves in a more compact space with this time, a turquoise light shining in front of them.
"We found it! But it appears this chaos emerald is encased in some rock," Akinori said.
"Nekomata should be able to break it," Shin said.
"Usapyon as well. Are you ready?" Inaho asked to which Shin asked his
yokai friend for help as well.
"You bet," the two yokai said as they soon broke the rock casing with a rapid-fire of punches and laser beams respectively before Inaho took the turquoise chaos emerald.
"We should now be on our way to the next one," Inaho said as the chaos emerald once again teleported the group to a different place.
Their third search began as the group arrived in a volcanic area, known as the Flame Core, as the intense heat immediately dried their clothes after swimming to find their previous chaos emerald. "Looks like we have company," Inaho said as the group immediately saw some familiar shadowy figures made from fire. The group of fiery shadows soon saw the group before they attacked.
"Intruder alert! We won't let you disturb Master Iblis," they said as they fired off a warning shot, consisting of a fire shot.
"Ayame look out!" Akinori screamed as he blocked the incoming attack with a defensive shield.
"Thank you Akinori," Ayame said as she stepped back before getting ready to fight.
"Iblis? That was the other half, Keisuke, his dad, and great-granddad were talking about. These guys must work for him," Touma said.
"In that case, we'll just have to defeat them here," Akinori said as he summoned forth Suzaku, while Inaho summoned Blazion to fight alongside
Usapyon, and Touma transformed into Fudo Myou.
"Shin, leave this to me," Shin's guardian spirit, Suu-san said as he reverted to his godside form.
"Count me in as well," Nekomata said.
"Leave the battle to us, go and find the chaos emerald," Ayame said to Shin, Tae, and Inaho.
"We understand," the three said as they began to run to where they thought the chaos emerald will be as the battle between everything else began. The minions shot off another stream of magma, to which Blazion countered it with his own fire-based attacks resulting in the attacks canceling each other out. Suu-san and Fudou Myou soon charged rapidly towards the minions striking a group of them with their swords for major damage. The rest of them were able to avoid this by flying out of the way to which they shot a group of laser beams.
"Bunny beam," Usapyon said as he used his soultimate move to fire off an equally powerful laser beam, but due to being outnumbered, the numerous laser beams soon overtook it and struck Usapyon for good damage as Nekomata attempted to punch them back while minimizing the damage it took from the multitude of laser beams. Suzaku soon followed up with a powerful wind blast which pushed the fiery minions back before being hit with a double offensive magic blast from Akinori and Ayame.
The entirety of the minions then launched a huge amount of energy spheres which soon combined into one gigantic sphere, which prompted Akinori and Ayame to set up a shield with their magic powers. The shield held onto the attack before the shield broke down pushing the two far away. The others used this chance to unleash an all-out assault of attacks, aiming for this to be the finishing hit.
"One hit KO paw," Nekomata said as he used his soultimate move and was aiming for a group of minions.
"Not so fast," they said as they launched another sea of fire towards it, to which Blazion took it as not being really affected by fire-based attacks, before taking the same group of minions out with a similarly combative attack with his fists. This gave Nekomata the chance to take out some more minions with that attack, while Usapyon went into his Vader mode form to fire off more lasers at a much faster pace at the opposition. The remaining minions tried to take the two out with a combo of another set of lasers and fireballs, but Fudou Myou was able to block those attacks with their sword before finishing the rest of the minions off with an electrically charged strike.
Meanwhile, Suu-san was able to finish off the minion who were pursuing the other three group members who were within the seeing range of the chaos emerald, as Tae was starting to get a bit worn out from using her magic to defend themselves from any minions who were after them. "Thank you Suu-san," Shin said as the three soon ran to where they saw that same shining light, but this time in a nice shade of purple. "We got it," Shin said as he now had the chaos emerald in his hand before the three went back to where everyone else was. "This battle's over," Akinori said as all the minions were defeated as they disappeared.
"Thank you for getting the chaos emerald," Ayame said.
"No problem and thank you for taking care of the majority of those guys," Tae said.
"Well, I think finding the last one should be much easier now since we now have four of these," Touma said before the group soon teleported away.
