Next chapter coming up right now.
I do not own Thomas the Tank/Thomas & Friends or I would have kept them in their models forms.
Gordon admits he was jealous of Henry.
He happily volunteered to help handle Henry' work when Henry recovered in hospital and got his engine's new shape, but now after he returned Gordon hates to admit that he was jealous of Henry a bit.
"Why does Henry get a new shape?" He grumbled out loud one day in the bunkhouse and most of the drivers there didn't bother hiding their groans when he started. "Any shape good enough for him is good enough for me. Also, there is another thing he whistles too much around stations, no respectable Train Drivers whistles like that. It isn't wrong we just don't do it." He complained and Henry, who was walking out of his room as he was heading out to the take the Express, heard what Gordon said making him a bit sad.
Luckily, Percy saw him and came over to say to him. "I like your whistle and so do many passengers too." He smiled to the taller driver who smiled down at him feeling a bit better now as Gordon had left the bunkhouse start his work.
Later on, that day, Henry pulled up to Wellsworth with the Express train and Edward smiled at him when Henry got out of his cab to stretch his legs.
"Hello Henry, nearly didn't hear you coming as I didn't hear your whistle." He greeted his friend warmly and Henry smiled back at him before telling him why he didn't whistle.
"Oh, Gordon is just being silly again. We need to whistle around Stations to let everyone know we are coming. It is for safety reasons." Edward said nodding and Henry nodded to in agreement before suddenly both drivers had to clamps their hands over their ears as a loud droning sound rang out.
"What is that?!" Henry asks shouting and Edward shouted back. "It sounds like Gordon!"
Than both drivers look down the line to see Number 4 pulling the last two Green Express Coaches come rushing down the line and its whistle was jammed so thus it was now stuck making that awful loud noises. Gordon looked greatly embarrassed as he drove fast down the line and didn't look at either Henry or Edward as he did as before long he and the noise were gone.
"Well…" Edward said amused after taking his hands off his ears and grinned at Henry who grinned back as he simply says. "It isn't wrong, we just don't do it."
Gordon kept driving fast as the jammed whistle never stopped its awful loud nonstop noise and as he pulled up to Knapford everyone there covered their ears as the noise was painful to hear. Sir Topham Hatt came rushing out of his office covering his ears too and looked very cross which made Gordon dread.
"Gordon take your bloody Engine out of here and get that whistle fixed!" He shouted at his employee who wasted no time driving out of there very fast as Coupler wasted no time in uncoupling him from the coaches as everyone there wanted that god-awful noise gone.
Not long later Marcus was banging the whistle with a hammer and Gordon let out a sigh of relief when the whistle was unjammed. But he didn't make eye contact with anyone as he quickly drove back to the Knapford sheds and headed for the bunkhouse. He was hoping no one was there right now.
But to his dread all the other drivers were there and all had amused looks on their faces. He tried to sneak past them to his room.
"It isn't wrong, we just don't do it." He suddenly heard one of them say and he sulks off into his room, wishing now he hadn't opened his mouth because of one word: karma.
The next morning Henry was enjoying himself greatly as he took a local train of two Green Express Coaches as James was handling the Express today. While Gordon was sent to do shunting at Knapford Docks for not taking care of his Engine's whistle causing that great annoyance yesterday.
Henry felt good today as he went up and down the Loop line with the passengers very impressed by his Engine's new shape's performance. Henry was so happy to be past those dreadful steaming problems now as that was in the past and now his engine acted like it never had any troubles to begin with at all. Though he admits at time he joke about how he wonder how it would perform if he kept that Welsh Coal.
Soon came to a bridge and he saw some young boys there watching his train. He smiled and let off his whistle in a greeting way before heading under the bridge.
Suddenly there was loud shattering noises from the coaches and Henry stopped the train before hopping out of the cab to see some of the windows on the coaches were broken.
"Those boys…" He said annoyed as he now knew they must have thrown stones at his train. He was usually peaceful and not known for wanting to get payback on someone, but clearly these boys need to be taught a lesson. As the passenger, who thankfully weren't hurt from the glass, demanded someone call the police and other things, Henry was already making a plan to teach those boys a lesson.
Later on, that very same day, Henry was taking another local run on the Loop line with the same coaches. He had been building up ashes greatly in his Engine and his plan was now ready to be unleashed.
He ran down the line again as usually and came upon the same bridge where just like clockwork he saw the same boys there again with stones ready.
"Not this times lads." He said and right before he went under the bridge he suddenly lets out all the ashes through his engine's funnel. The boys were now covered in ashes and soot shocking them so greatly they ran off embarrassed making Henry chuckle as he continued on down the line.
With that Henry had taught Gordon and naughty boys a lesson with a whistle and sneeze.
I hope you all enjoyed.
