I do not own Thomas the Tank/Thomas & Friends or I would have kept them in their models forms.

Duck loved his job on Sodor and was always worked hard as Station Pilot, but even when he is allowed to do runs he performs them so well-done Sir Topham Hatt always is impressed by his work.

Everyone likes Duck, but they all can agree on his pride of his Great Western engine and 'the Great Western way' can be a bit annoying at times, but they all like Duck and tolerate it.

One day as Duck came to the sheds for today's work he was surprised to see a new engine there and it was a Steam Engine, it was a Diesel Engine.

"Ahh Duck there you are." Sir Topham Hat said spotting Duck and gave him a warm smile, but Duck was more focused on the person standing next to his boss. He had unkept dirty black hair and wore black overhauls, but they were messed up with the top unbuttoned and the sleeves rolled up. "This is David. I am trying his Diesel Engine to try out the shunting around Knapford Yards to make your job easier. I want you to show him around understood." He said to Duck who nods to him before he walked off leaving the two drivers alone.

"So, David…" Duck started but was cut off.

"I prefer Diesel. Kind of like how you prefer Duck over your real name." The other driver spoke and he spoke in an annoying snickering kind of way that grated Duck's nerves.

"Let's just get to work." Duck groaned and headed to his engine with Diesel following. Duck hated how Diesel gave all the other Steam Engines dirty looks like as if they were insulting to him, but at least he didn't dare say anything as a quick scowl from James and Gordon made Diesel walk faster.

Things weren't better once they were at Knapford Yards as Diesel kept bragging on how great and superior Diesel Engines were, but Duck mostly ignored him.

"Alright we got to move these trucks around and get them organized for Marcus and his crew to load up for James's train later for today. You know how to handle shunting?" Duck said and when he asked the question he hid his scowl when Diesel simply smirked as he replied. "Of course, I do and I will do it so well too as my engine is revolutionary. You just sit back and watch with your out-of-date junk and see once the Fat Controller sees me at work he will scrap your engine." Diesel spoke in his annoying way and Duck scowled, but smiled when he had saw some of the Rock & Load crew had overheard the talk and were clearly not liking how Diesel spoke to Duck as they liked Duck and respected the Steam Engine Drivers. Duck knew how this was going to end.

"First off it is Sir Topham Hatt to you, but okay go on ahead. You work this part of the Yards and I will handle another part." Duck said before heading off to another part of the yards and Diesel grinned as he was determined to make Sir Topham Hatt see that Diesel Engines were the way to go, superior then Steam Engines.

Little did he that the Rock & Load crew were already paying him out and he made it worse when he ordered them around which of course was a big mistake.

His fate was sealed.

Diesel started moving trucks around, but what he didn't know was that the Rock & Load crew had lead him around to grab the wrong trucks. Trucks that were old and out of service so when Diesel tried to move them they stuck in place.

Diesel growled as he kept trying to pull the trucks not knowing the trick that was played on him.

Duck returned shortly pulling another line trucks and saw what was going, he grinned at the sight of Diesel trying to pull the broken Trucks.

Diesel growled as he puts his engine into full throttle and soon he felt his train move. He grinned as he thought he finally got it going, but a loud snapping sound dispelled that and he knew something was wrong.

He looked out of the cap of his engine and saw Marcus looking underneath the trucks. He hops out and came over to him see whatever the problem was.

"What happened?"

"The tracks got damaged, your yanking of these BROKEN trucks ripped up some of the tracks." Marcus said very annoyed as he scowled at Diesel who back up from him. "I also heard how you tried to order my men."

"But I…"

"My my Diesel, did you try to order Rock & Load Crew?" Duck asked amused grinning. "They listen to Marcus and Sir Topham Hatt only so ordering them around and showing them now respect is a huge mistake." Duck explained grinning more and Diesel felt embarrassed greatly as he noticed the amused grins the Rock & Load Crew gave me.

"What didn't you tell me?"

"Because you supposed to be revolutionary." Duck grinned before he continued on with his work leaving Diesel behind to help fix up the problem caused.

Diesel groaned loudly as the Rock & Load Crew constantly singing.

"Trucks are waiting in the Yard; Tackling them with ease'll,

'Show the world what I can do.' Gaily boasts the Diesel.

In and out he creeps about, Like a big black weasel.

When he pulls the wrong trucks/cars out – Pop goes the Diesel!"

Diesel groans, but wisely kept his mouth shut.

I hope you all enjoyed.
