Chapter 1

He was out in the city once more. Junpei wondered about as 'Kechizu' to see if anyone would recognize him. As luck would have it, the general fan base doesn't even notice him! However, there are those who have been made aware of his presence.

Ever since the encounter with Takada-chan, there have been odd sorcerers keeping track of his movements. None of them are from the school, yet the way they have been eying him… has made him concerned. 'I better warn the bros later' he thought to himself.

He kept on the move, however paused when he saw them approaching. He smirked and waved as Todo was on his 'date' with his idol. She wasn't dressed up and wore a lot of make up to hide her appearance, but somehow, Todo appeared rather cool, calm and collected instead of being a babbling idiot. Suiryu said he becomes rather… emotional when it comes to his idol.

"Kechizu! How are ya!" Todo said but didn't shout it loud enough for the world to hear. Some caught it thought. They paused and stared at him oddly for a moment, yet began to second guess what they heard.

"Doing well, how are you Todo?" he asked and gave him a rather dignified bro hug. Just to keep up appearance of course.

He grinned like an idiot as he pointed to his 'date'. "I am showing a lovely young lady around town, we are about to stop for lunch. Would you like to join us?" he asked.

He could see it in his eyes, Todo didn't want him ANYWHERE near them when it comes to this. So he smiled and politely declined the offer. "Thank you, but I have other plans. You two take care," he excused himself and kept on his way.

He saw a worried look come over Takada-chan, but he hoped if she did say anything, it would be to Todo, who is already aware of the situation.

Yet as he drifted away from the pair, he began to sense himself being followed once more. Junpei made certain to duck into a deep alleyway, where the noise won't make it to the main streets in case something should happen. When he reached the dead end, he turned and saw four sorcerers blocking his way out. "Can I help you?" he asked.

The four men peered at each other, before they glared back at him. "Mind your own business, if you know what's good for you." Said one.

He paused to the tone… this wasn't a threat, it was a warning! "Excuse me?" he asked.

"Mind your own business, if you know what is good for you. Don't make me repeat myself again. You have caused enough trouble, we don't need any more of it!"

He was confused. "So… you're not going to jump and try and kill me?" he asked.

"Tch, as much as we would want to, we can't. You're a celebrity and your… disappearance would be greatly noticed in public. So, thus, the warning, you have made Miss Chan very… vocal as of late. It's not appreciated considering everything we must go through to ensure her safety!"

Junpei smirked. Ever since their encounter then, she has started to stand up for herself… good for her!

"Then let me ask this, why the courtesy of warning me?" he asked.

They fell silent, Junpei had a sneaky suspicion that Suiryu maybe involved somehow. But either way, at the moment, he wouldn't push it. "Then start listening to what she is saying and stop punishing her over stupid shit." He said aloud with a sigh. "You are punishing her for listening to heavy music, and watching a rock opera. You do know someone can find joy in something that doesn't appear to be joyful. Doesn't a happy idol give you more than an upset one?"

They paused. "What are you…"

"I am more than aware of Miss Chan being used by the divine users to strength themselves. They have been worried that we were doing the same thing with curse energy… we aren't just so you know. This has the opposite effect on curse power, it doesn't strengthen them, and it weakens curses and their activities…" he snickered. "Why did you think he picked the name Ryomen Sukuna for his band? His name now brings joy, not fear and terror. And when that energy overpowers curse…" he said offhandedly.

The sorcerers appeared stunned. "Well then, if that's all you need to say to me, how about walking out of here or letting me get by?"

They exchanged odd looks between each other before making a pathway for him to pass. Junpei looked into their faces, ensuring he remembers them. For there is something more going on there than what is being said.

Meanwhile…

Todo let out a sigh of relief as Junpei went on his way. He was finally able to cash in on this date and he wasn't about to have a third wheel added! Yet, he saw this look of fear in her eyes. Takada was startled at the sight of Junpei.

"Let's go over here, this has great ramen," he said.

She nodded as they went to a small ramen store, they got a table to themselves and yet, that nervous look didn't vanish from her face. "Are you okay? You look startled."

Her was toying with her hands nervously. "I don't think you would believe me." She whispered, but then jumped. Something caught her eye.

Peering from around his booth, Todo saw it. A very weak looking curse and yet it was lingering on a woman's shoulder. She looked rather stressed as she attempted to rub relief into the inflicted area.

Takada shook. Todo then realized she was seeing curses! So he smiled and excused himself from the table. He began to look about oddly, as if his eyes were trailing a pesky bug, every so often the place would jump as he clapped his hands. But he gradually made his way over to the table with the woman dealing with the curse, she appeared startled until…

CLAP

With curse energy in his hands, he clapped his hands, smashing the curse between them. Instantly it was exorcised. "Please excuse me, this mosquito wouldn't leave me alone… it had to die," Todo said as gently as he could.

But the look on this woman's face appeared utterly mortified!

As he sat back in his booth, Takada was in awe of him. "Wait… did you…"

He put his finger to his lips and winked at her. She took the thick glasses off for a moment but stared at him with amazement. "You're like my bodyguards who see those things and can kill them!" she whispered.

"I'm known as a jujutsu sorcerer," he whispered back to her. "If you see any of those things again, I'll take care of them."

She paused for a moment, until she said. "Kechizu is one of them,"

Todo paused, wondering how he would answer this for her. "Well… the thing is…" suddenly the door opened to the ramen store, she was quick to put her glasses on when suddenly, she panicked, she whipped them off her head as she went pale. "Are you okay?!" he asked with worry.

"What the hell did you say to her? She's white as a ghost!"

He paused oddly and turned to see Suiryu lingering over his shoulder. "You okay?" he asked.

Her hand trembled as she pointed to Suiryu. "He… He… I… but… How could…" she stammered.

"I think this date is over…" Todo muttered.

Suiryu sighed aloud. He suddenly made an odd mudra before suddenly, everyone in the shop was frozen. "You got one minute. First off, what you saw, you are wearing curse glasses right? You saw my power, and yeah, it's a shit ton. Yes, it is very demonic. No I am not really human… sort of. As well I heard you speak of Kechizu, yes he is a cursed human, the death paintings are but as you can see, they are not harming people. Todo is a sorcerer as well, already explained. Yes, there are some out there who like to kill people for the hell of it, and no I am not one of them nor is Todo, any questions?" Suiryu asked of her.

She froze. "How did…"

"I go to the ones that would pop in my mind first if I were in your position. Either way, you two have fun." Just as Suiryu walked away, the shop went back into motion.

Takada turned to Todo and whispered. "What is really going on? What is Ryomen really?" she asked.

"Let's eat first, I'll tell you as much as I can, without revealing too much either." Todo explained.
