Chapter 3
D'angelo was going over all of his work papers. So many more companies have come up to him, requesting Suiryu. Everyone wants a piece of him to advertise their products, some want him as is, others want him in his rock star persona. And yet, he doesn't accept all of them. Well, five would be the most he would allow Suiryu to take on and as long as the company's products speak for themselves. D'angelo himself researches all who are interested in Suiryu's look. However if the product is cheap or if the company has a seedy underbelly business, they are instantly ignored.
"He only poses for the best, and those with a reputation that is worthy of being in the public eye." He muttered to himself.
Some interesting names have come up, one in particular he never thought he would see. Felicia Fenriru, formerly based in Japan, had gone over seas to America, only to move to Italy and make a name for herself. Her products are top of the line and people are begging her to be part of her fashion company. She only picks the models she likes, and just recently a letter from her came to D'angelo's desk.
Nothing was written on the letter, it was just her stationary and her signature at the bottom of the page.
He knew what it meant.
"It's about time you took interest…" he muttered to himself, yet tucked the letter away. If anyone knew about it, he would be hounded to no end.
As he finished going through the requests, he began to hear a commotion outside. At first, he thought it was nothing, until the voices began to grow louder. They also sounded very familiar to him. "ARE YOU SHITTING ME! WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT?! YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO BE OUR MANAGER!"
He sighed aloud. "Please, for the love of God, tell me they are not here for me…" he pleaded to the heavens. Just as he got up from his chair, they settled down, but curiosity got the better of him. D'angelo approached the door and leaned against it to listen in.
"Boys, you know I got your best interests here, you need to trust me."
"We did that the last time, you PROMISED us contracts and look what happened!"
He heard and exasperated sigh that followed. "You are the ones who walked off to pick up models before the talent scouter could even arrive!" he protested back to them. "And look what happened, that asshole model took your moment away. We wouldn't be listening to Ryomen Sukuna had you done what I said!" he snapped back.
'Wow, a handler that isn't afraid to say the truth, that's rare' thought D'angelo.
"Tch, whatever, so what do we do? This plan of your, we don't like it, we're not the stars!"
He heard a devious laughter. "You failed to see something, Ryomen Sukuna stopped touring do to a family emergency, same with the Death Paintings. Yet they are advertised on your show. People will FLOCK to see them, since they haven't toured in a while. But… what happens if they don't show up? You boys pretend to be the opening band, but, when in reality, this is YOUR rock concert. Neither one would be there since they don't know about it!"
D'angelo shuttered as he could feel some collective, evil grins gathering behind the doorway. "Oh, this is perfect."
"Best part is boys, we already sold out the show. We're playing at Echo stage, and they even had a side theater for those who can't get into the grounds. The 100 yen theater remember? Extra scratch you can make from desperate fans!"
"Oh you are brilliant! If this goes well, I'll be sure father gives you a raise!"
"Oh it's flawless, they have NO IDEA this is happening. Boys, you are about to make a name for yourselves!"
D'angelo heard them leave, he sighed aloud and took out his phone. "Bloodbore industries."
"Inei, D'angelo." He simply stated. "I have a teeny, tiny issue. You are aware that Ryomen Sukuna and the Death paintings are not touring right?"
There came silence. "Yes, why bring this up?"
"Well, the issue is this. I got a band that is making a show, pretending to be the opening band for them… they are not doing concerts right now… So…"
"Oh God, is it those lame kids? The ones you saved me from a while back?"
"Oh you still met with them?"
"Force to, their fathers are one of our sponsors. I let them play before me, they can't carry a tune… wait… they are claiming to be the opening band for Sukuna and the Paintings?!" he demanded.
"Yep, so, how do you want to go about doing this?"
"We cannot have their image tarnished for this… let me see if I can cancel the show…"
Ding.
"Oh, I got a text…" D'angelo pulled the phone away and saw it was from Suiryu. However there was something off about it. "Um, Inei, you still there?"
"Yeah, why?"
"I don't think you need to step in, someone is already taking care of the situation…"
