I do not own Thomas the Tank/Thomas & Friends or I would have kept them in their models forms.

Thomas hummed a tune as he came pulling into Old Harbour with a goods train seeing ever since Old Harbour's restoration it a part of the coastal line Henry uses to take Flying Kipper around from Knapford straight to Tidmouth, seeing Sir Topham Hatt felt it would felt with Goods Train on Thomas's line.

"Morning Percy!" Thomas calls as he as he saw Percy there with another Goods Train and Thomas came over to his friend seeing the unloading will take a moment so chatting with his best friend is fun way to past the time.

"Morning Thomas. How's Annie and Clarabelle doing?" Percy asked smiling as he and his best friend leaned against Number 6 as they both waited for their respective trains to be unloaded.

"They are visiting mom and dad at Killdane as they got school off. Believe it or not Gordon offered to take them on the Long Green express run and then James offered to take them on the Long Whites." Thomas said chuckling and Percy chuckled too seeing Gordon and James would hate to admit it, but they got soft spots for Thomas's little sisters. However, the noise a helicopter sounds out throughout the air and both young men look at the direction of the source of the sound, where they saw a white helicopter with a red stripe going down its sides.

"Noisy thing." Thomas commented and Percy nods scowling. "Its been coming and going all morning." Percy answered annoyed as its noise was distracting and annoying all morning for him as he worked in the docks.

"I hope whoever this pilot is they are a nice guy, last thing we need is another person insulting us Train Drivers." Thomas said and Percy nods at what his friend said. "Hope so."

Sometime later…

Percy was taking a goods train when he stopped near the airfield near Old Harbour and as he waited there he saw the pilot of the white helicopter. He had combed back black hair and a curled moustache while wearing a white pilot outfit with a red scarf.

He looked over when Percy hopped out of Number 6 as Percy did a double check on his Goods' Train's Break-van's brakes. He approached when Percy looked over at him.

"Hello chap I am Harold, who are you?" He greeted in a thick cockney accent. "I am Percy, you must new here." Percy replied back respectfully.

"Correct chum, I was hired to assist those in need as this is a big island and people could get hurt anywhere, there is also no fast enough on this island to respond to it so that's why I am here." He said proudly at his statement and Percy scowled at that. "Trains here fast thank you very much." He said seriously and he scowled more when Harold just bursts out laughing. "Everyone know engines are quite slow and not very great as they are out of date." He said a bit arrogantly before walking off leaving a fuming Percy stand there.

Later that day what Harold said had bothered Percy greatly and he grew crosser as the day went on. Eventually he had enough of it when he saw Harold again on his way to Old Harbour and he leaned out of his engine to shout at him. "Hey Harold, race you to Old Harbour and I will show you birdbrain that engines aren't slow!"

"Ha you're on!" Harold called back and both had their respective vehicles ready than on a unseen signal both were off.

Percy will admit he was having fun as he never had Number 6 move this fast before, though while he was on it seeing the last time it went super-fast was during the whole Gordon near miss incident and Percy falling out of his engine, and he made Number 6 rocket down the tracks.

Before he even knew it he was already rushing through the valley that was on the way to Old Harbour and he called Harold's helicopter above him outside of his engine. Percy couldn't tell exactly, but it did sound like they were neck & neck as both of them were gunning to get into the lead.

Eventually Percy pulled into Old Harbour and jumped out of his engine's cab to see he had won, but to his shock he didn't Harold in the sky and worried he might have lost.

However, a familiar whirling noise sounds off and turned to see Harold fly into Old Harbour before trying to find a place to land which took him some time to do.

Percy grinned as he knew this meant one thing.

He won the race!

After landing Harold came over to Percy grinning and shook his hand proudly. "Good showing chap! I am glad I was wrong about engines, they aren't slow and are truly great! I am glad I was wrong, good race today should do it again!"

Percy was glad he was wrong about Harold as ever since than the two have become friends and Percy could see Harold was truly a needed person on Sodor seeing anything bad that happens he can get straight to it quickly. He is still a bit too proud and arrogant over his helicopter, but never said truly insulting about trains ever again as he had respect for their drivers now.

Percy did also like how he told the other engine drivers about his race with Harold and Gordon had nice song to celebrate this victory for Engine drivers.

"Said Harold to our Percy, "You are slow!

Your railway is out of date and not much use, you know."

But Percy and his goods train did the trip in record time,

And beat the helicopter pilot on the old branch line."

The other drivers all cheered and pat Percy on the back who couldn't help but grin at that song.

Sorry for the late update, been busy with life and took a break to handle some stuff while also planning out what to write.

Hope you all enjoyed.
