Hello guys! This is my technically second story, but my first one was taken down because people didn't exactly like it, so I'm counting this as my first. I know the idea Voldemort's grandson is pretty used, but none of the stories I have read were ever completed, and I wanted to have a completed story. I hope you like it! Also, please be kind when your giving feedback, I felt like crying when I saw the mean feedback on my other story. This story takes place in Order of the Phoenix before school started.
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Only OCs belong to me.
1/14/22 This is a second A/N added in later. This is being HEAVILY edited right now. I wanted people to know, so I decided to start updating it for the people who do actually read and follow this story. Please know that there is changes in the plot as well, so some stuff may not match up with later chapters. Also, the A/N down at the end of the chapter is a thank you note that I'd really like if you read. Just saying.
Harry's POV
I sighed. It was really fun spending time with Sirius and everyone at Grimmauld Place, but it was getting really annoying just cleaning things up in the house. They banned me from the Order meetings too, which I find really unfair, since I've already fought and survived Voldemort 3 times, already more than most people. I just wished that people would take me seriously.
"Harry, Ron, come down for dinner! Dumbledore is coming tonight!" Mrs. Weasley called. Dumbledore was just another story. Dumbledore came all the time, usually when I was still awake in the bedroom with Ron, but he never even looked at me. I hadn't even heard a simple 'hello' from Dumbledore! Had I done something wrong?
As I got to the bottom of the stairs with Ron, we heard a huge crack, which meant that Fred and George got there. They were both really obsessed with being able to Apparate and perform magic whenever they wanted. When we got into the dining room, where Mrs. Weasley had set her daily feast, Dumbledore entered.
"I have some news," Dumbledore announced gravely. This caught my attention. This was the first time in a long time that I was getting any news on anything, much less getting it from Dumbledore. Usually, if it wasn't too bad, Mrs. Weasley would be the one telling me. "Voldemort has a grandson."
"WHAT?!" I exclaimed. Voldemort and children didn't go together, at all. Different thoughts raced through my mind. How powerful is this child? Voldemort himself is pretty strong, but we can't underestimate someone who could still be learning about magic. Has he met Voldemort yet? Has Voldemort already convinced his grandchild to be on his side, or do we still have a chance to tell him that Voldemort's evil? Are we going to go after this person or will Dumbledore just leave me behind again? Does he even need Voldemort's influence to have prejudiced thoughts? I started voicing some of my thoughts.
"We do not know much about the boy, just that his mother is a Squib, and that he doesn't know his father. He also lives in New York in the United States."
"Has the family met Voldemort yet? How powerful is he? Does he have the same values as Voldemort?"
"What if this person is evil! He is the grandson of You-Know-Who!" Ron exclaimed.
"We can't say anything yet. I don't think any kid could be evil like You-Know-Who, even if they're related. Plus, we still need to figure out whether the grandchild has even met You-Know-Who yet," Hermione said.
"Well Malfoy's a kid and he's evil! How do you know that someone related to You-Know-Who won't be," Ron retaliated. Meanwhile I was still thinking about everything that could happen. Voldemort's grandchild could change the war. He could be the reason Voldemort dies or the reason Voldemort kills us all. It all depends on him now. He could be the significant change that wins us the war.
"Ron! You should be more understanding of the fact that he's just a child! You can't call someone evil just because someone he's related to is!" Mrs. Weasley scolded.
"Quiet down please! We don't know if he's evil, he probably doesn't know anything about magic, but one thing I'm sure of is that he is very powerful. Voldemort will probably hear about this soon, so we must hurry and bring him on our side. I will need Harry to come with me. You can bring Ron and Hermione if you choose, but we will be leaving as soon as possible."
"What about dinner?" Ron asked, hungry as he always is.
"You will have dinner when you get back. We'll be Apparating, so eating would probably just make it worse. We won't be long, you'll be back soon." Dumbledore replied, "Now, please hurry."
We all got up and left immediately.
Using apparition, we got there in a few seconds. Apparating was terrible. It was like being sucked through an extremely thin tube, and it was impossible to breathe. We were feeling nauseous, but unfortunately we were going to have to use apparition to get back as well. I had no idea how Fred and George did it all the time. As soon as the nauseous feeling left my body, I heard the bustling noise of New York. There were cars honking and people chattering everywhere. I realized we were in a small ally and decided to just peek outside. As I looked around, I saw so many buildings, going higher and higher, with no apparent end. It was a bit warmer in New York compared to London and a light summer breeze hit us.
I had noticed all of this in a few small moments, as the next thing I knew, we were walking down the streets of Manhattan, taking turns left and right until we finally came to a stop. Everything zoomed passed us, and it didn't seem like anybody cared that we were wearing wizarding robes. No one gave us a second glance, going their own way, something that didn't happen very often in Britain.
We finally came to a stop in front of the many apartment complexes in New York. As Dumbledore was about to speak, a van with Delphi Strawberries drove up.
Before the van had even fully stopped, a girl was jumping out, looking about sixteen. She had spiky black hair, a spray of freckles on her face, and electric blue eyes. She looked fierce, and she started looking around, like she was trying to make sure everything was safe.
The van stopped as a short boy came out laughing. He had short curly brown hair, and a big grin. He had a tool belt around his waist, and was fidgeting with his own hands. He seemed to have a lot of energy.
2 twins jumped out at the same time. At least, they looked like twins. They had the same grins as the Weasley twins, as if they're always planning a prank or thinking of new ways to annoy somebody. They had curly brown hair and and blue eyes.
Then a girl and a boy came out holding hands. The boy had buzz-cut blonde hair and the same electric blue eyes as the first girl to jump out of the van. He had a small scar on his lips. The girl next to him was beautiful. She had brown hair, that was cut unevenly, with thin strands braided on the sides. Her eyes were changing colors every minute, from brown to blue to green.
Another guy came out. This guy was tall and muscular, he looked like he could be a Quidditch player. He had black hair with brown eyes, and despite his intimidating look, he seemed very kind, laughing and chatting with the kids outside.
Right behind him a girl with dark skin and long curly brown hair came out. She had hazel eyes, that looked like gold. She kept a calm composure compared to the others.
After about 30 seconds 2 more people came out. The girl came out first, with blonde princess curls and cloudy grey eyes. She looked like she was analyzing everything she saw, and with her confident walk and serious face, she seemed very intimidating. She was tall, fit, and looked very athletic.
Right behind her, there was a boy with olive skin, messy jet black hair and bright turquoise eyes. As he closed the doors behind him, Dumbledore said, "Ah, he's the one we're looking for."
"The last one?" Ron asked for clarification.
"Yes, him. Let's follow him in a minute, we don't want to scare him. He might not be on Voldemort's side yet, attacking him may make him skeptical of us."
"BLUE COOKIES!" the grandson of Voldemort shouted. "Race you to the blue cookies!" With that exclamation, he ran off, and the rest followed, laughing. After waiting a few minutes, we followed the big group.
1/12/2021 Okay, so this is an update AN. I posted this first chapter on November 28th, 2020. Now, in the first month of 2022, I've been checking traffic graphs, and I get around 100 views a day! Compared to the 20 views I got last year in January, this is some great progress. I don't know if more people are just looking for Grandson of Voldemort stories or if my story's actually gaining popularity, but I want to thank all the readers for your support! I've sorry I've been inactive, but I just had a lot of big tests in the last two months, so getting back on to actually edit was a challenge. I am now on Wattpad, Quotev, and Archive of our Own, so I'll be posting the edited chapters on there, too.
I hope you liked it! If you think I can improve or add anything to make the story better, please tell me, because I want to know how to improve. Once again, just one request I have for you while you review, please, be kind, it hurts when you say that you hate it, or that it's terrible. Tell me what I can improve on, so I can fix it, or improve in my story. Thank you!
I added some reactions due to a suggestion, that I thought was a great idea, so thank you Gustavo SP2002! Also, please disregard the Hiatus message in the reviews, I can't help but keep writing, so I'll still be posting. I just might not post too much. I also finished putting the thing in 1st person Harry's POV instead of 3rd person. I'll be editing chapters to fix mistakes if I or somebody else finds them.
Signing off,
2Fashionista
