The next day

Stella was sunbathing in the woods outside the temple gates. She was still weakened from yesterday's events, as when they got back to the temple, it was nightfall, and the moon wasn't out to help alleviate her condition. The warm rays of the run heated her skin nicely, fixing all her cells.

"Hmmm nothing like some rays to lift a girl's spirit!" Stella chirped, her gray skin finally turning back to her regular peachy skin tone, yellow light outlining her whole body. She shined brighter and brighter as she reached the pinnacle of her magic until finally, she felt strong enough, getting up without any help.

"Now that's more like it!" She yelled. She transformed into her fairy form to test everything out, all proving to be back to normal. She sighed and fell back to the grass, relieved to have no permanent damage.

"Glad to see you're feeling better, young one." She heard someone say. She saw Chase come out of the shadows, checking up on the fairy. He sat down next to her.

"Yeah. That was a close one, huh?"

"Indeed. You must be careful next time. I honestly thought you weren't going to make it." He muttered, looking away. Stella held his hand, catching his attention.

"The Darkness may weaken me, but it wasn't enough to kill me. I would've been fine."

"Not if we were down there longer. It's all that worms fault."

"I don't blame him. If he didn't do that, I would've never felt the full power our magic combined really have. Don't act like you haven't thought of it."

Stella was right. It was all chase thought about. Taking over the world with her by his side would cause massive devastation. It was exhilarating to think when it happens, it will be far better than he expected.

"Yes well, I told you already how it would be. Perhaps if you didn't doubt me so much you wouldn't be so surprised." Chase said calmly

"I don't doubt you, I'm just cautious."

"Uh huh. You still don't trust me."

Stella pounced him, pinning him down with her light.

"If i didn't trust you, I wouldn't have given myself up to you."

Chase struggled to get free, but was also amazed at how much stronger she's become. His darkness overcame her restraints and pushed her away, making her hit a tree and fall flat on her face. He took the opportunity to jump onto her back, pinning her arms with one hand and pulling her long blonde hair with the other. Stella screamed in pain.

"Or it could be that I'm just too irresistible for you." He whispered in her ear. "I see the way you look at me when you think I'm not watching. You just wanted all this."

Stella growled, glowing tremendously to throw him off. She pushed him to the tree, him blocking and throwing a punch. She blocked, elbowing his back and throwing him opposite of the clearing. She charged at him with orbs ready in her hands, aiming to punch him in his stupid chiseled chest. Chase laughed before pushing her fists back, his darkness overlapping and forming the red aura again. They held their ground, Stella looking pissed and chase smirking at her little tantrum, until the power was too much and the force pushed them apart. Chase groaned, looking at Stella, who was rubbing her head from the pain. His face grew a small smile of admiration. He went over to help her up, which she begrudgingly accepts.

"Think that's enough fun for one day." He chuckled

"I'm still mad at you." She pouted

"Not for very long." He cupped her face before kissing her forehead gently.

"I was only teasing about the things I've said."

"Uh huh." Stella rolled her eyes. Those big brown eyes that looked like pools of honey in the sun that made Chase melt into them. He gripped her chin and brought her lips to his. When he decided to let go, Stella looked at him with puppy dog eyes, sadden the moment ended.

"Believe me now?" Chase asked

"Yes."

"Good." He rested his chin on her head, holding her in his arms, while she wrapped around his chest, enjoying the moment.

"STELLLA!!" They heard the monks say from the beginning of the woods. Chase snarled, begrudgingly letting go of Stella and looked at her.

"I'll see you tomorrow night. I want you to rest today."

Stella nodded. "Alright. I'll see you later." She watched him disappear into the woods before running to meet up with the monks.

"There you are! You feeling better?" Kimiko asked.

"Much better."

"That's great! Now let's get back to the temple! Who knows what kind of evil is watching over us in the woods!" Kimiko implied. They all walked together to the temple gates. And Kimiko was right, as chase was watching them leave from afar, watching Stella profusely. He was ready for her to join him. The time was drawing near. 10,000 years of darkness will soon be here.
