The monks reached the temple without Stella, sulking as they trudged over to Master Fung.
"What happened? Where is Stella??" He asked
"She's gone." Omi sighed
"We said some things that made her upset, and she decided not to come back." Raimundo said
"What did you say?!"
"Tell him, Rai." Kimiko said while elbowing him.
"You're the reason she left?" Master Fung asked, giving him a death glare.
"M-maybe. I told her she was acting suspicious walking around at night and that she can't be trusted."
"Raimundo, do you realize what you've done? The solarian royal family has entrusted US with her safety. Now that she's gone, we don't know what kind of trouble she could be in. I won't say anything to her father right now, but we need to find her and bring her back. And you WILL apologize for the problems you've caused."
Raimundo sighed "yes, Master Fung."
"Who knows what she could be doing out there." Master Fung said while looking up at the sky
Stella blocked another blast from chase. He transformed and wrapped his tail around her neck, lifting her in the air to choke her. She struggled to breathe but bit on the very end of his tail that poked out of his grasp. He yelled and let her go and she took the opportunity to sweep the whole room with rays of light, pushing him back to the wall and Stella pinned his arms, legs, and tail with bands of light. She went to punch him with light but stopped at the last second, fist just an inch in front of his muzzle.
He smirked
"Well done, Princess."
He went back to normal and broke out of her restraints to kiss her. She kissed back and allowed him to pin her to the wall, grasping her neck and biting her lip.
"Let's go upstairs."Stella muttered
"Can't wait that long." He said, voice filled with need. He swept his arms back and the doors and windows above closed to allow privacy. The floor opened up, flames bursting out to shed some light in the room, creating a sultry atmosphere. Stella giggled as chase buried his face into her neck and laid her down gently.
That night
Stella was getting ready for bed. She dawned a long black nightgown chase had made for her, brushing her hair in front of a vanity in chases room that he also had made for her. Stella sighed and set the brush down, head resting in her hands. She felt chases hands rest on her shoulders.
"Something wrong, Princess?"
Stella jumped at his touch. "Oh! It's you. Yes, I'm fine. Just thinking."
"About what?"
"The monks."
Chase rolled his eyes.
"They were foolish to believe you are an enemy. That's their loss."
"I know. It's just hard to think about, you know?"
"I actually do. I was the black sheep when i was a xiaolin monk." Chase gently pulled her up. "But now we have each other to feel ostracized with."
Stella smiled and nodded. "Yeah, i guess you're right."
"Of course I'm right."
Stella giggled, and they went to bed in each other's arms. Chase kissed her forehead gently
"I love you, Stella. You know that right?"
"Yes, and I love you too, Chase."
"Good." He muttered before falling asleep
It was the middle of the night. She couldn't sleep, no matter how much she closed her eyes and laid on chases chest. Sighing, she got out of bed, quietly as to not disturb the prince of darkness, and roamed his lair. The waterfalls were enough to soothe the troubled fairy, but she felt the urge to lift the water. Her moon powers took hold, and she took a stream out of the oasis. The water spun all around her body, and reaching to her upright hand to form a water ball.
It reminded her of Omi, with his orb of tornami, to which Stella cringed, remembering his betrayal. Stella could feel her rage flow in her body, so she took it out on the ball of water. It boiled until turned a dark purple gunk. She threw it at a nearby pot. It shattered, and the gunk consumed the mess. Stella huffed and started screaming in rage, summoning more water and more pots to smash.
Chase woke up, startled. He went to wake Stella, but realized she wasn't there. When he heard her screaming, he didn't hesitate to run out to find her, prepared for the worse. He entered a room of pandemonium, with Stella hurling dark magic all around, destroying his oasis.
"Hey! Stella!" He yelled, but she couldn't hear him over her rage. Her hair was flying around now, eyes red and outlined with darkness. Chase tackled her to the ground and restrained her with his own magic.
"What's gotten into you?!" He asked
Stella snapped out of it, and her rage turned to sadness, crying hard into the floor. Chase brought her into his arms and let her cry on his chest, rocking her gently. He undid the restraints so she could hold onto him better.
"I did nothing but be kind to them, and this is how they think of me??" She sputtered
"Shh..don't worry about those losers. They don't appreciate you."
"But why?? I've done nothing wrong !"
"People are afraid of things that are unknown. They didn't try to get to know you and understand your well-being."
"You got to know me." She murmured, face squished onto his chest. He smiled
"Yes, and i know how you are." He lifted her chin to face him. " A beautiful and powerful fairy. You are the literal light in my life. And I'm glad you came to the temple."
Stella wipes the last few tears off her face and hugged him.
"Thank you. I needed that."
Chase hugged her back and smiled, but went back got frowning.
"Don't tell anyone I said that. I have an evil reputation to uphold."
"Of course, Prince of darkness. "
"Now come on. Let's go back to bed." He lifted her up bridal style and turned to his cat minions, who were cowering from Stellas rampage.
"Clean this mess up. Make it spotless." Chase ordered. He brought Stella back into bed, and she was almost asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow, but chase had to ask her.
"Stella?"
"Hmm?"
"Do fairies live forever?"
"Not that I know of. Most fairies I've met never lived past 100. Why?"
"Just curious...go to sleep. I'll be back shortly." He ordered. Stella shrugged and went to sleep while chase left to get his soup. His hands shook as he poured it into a cup. Not even the first sip calmed him down, he was too worried.
"100 years? That's not enough time with her." He mumbled. He chugged his soup down but he couldn't stop panicking. He threw his cup at the wall in anger. He laid his head on the counter, pondering what he should do. Time flies so fast for him, being immortal, and he didn't want to lose Her that fast. He lifted his head and stared at the empty soup can. It would make her powerful, possibly more powerful than him, which annoyed him, but it would let her live forever...with him. He stood up straight, nodding his head.
"Yes..it must be done. I'll let her drink the loa mang lone soup, and she'll rule with me side by side for eternity." He proclaimed. He finally went to bed, where a sleeping Stella immediately cuddled up to him, and went to sleep with a clear mind.
