Chapter 19

Yuuji appeared proud of him.

Fushiguro showed his full strength to those around him, now it he could only obtain it himself. Megumi was calming down from the whole event, the domain expansion took a lot more out of him than he anticipated. Yet before he could process it all, he felt a gently grab of his arm and tug. To his right, Yuuji stood and nudged his head. Wanting him to follow.

Curious, Fushiguro did and Suiryu tagged along as well. "What's this? Something happen?" Suiryu asked.

Yuuji began to write and then passed it to Fushiguro. He paused to the note and read it, only to freeze. "Wait, are you sure?" he demanded.

He nodded to him.

"Let me see that," Suiryu snagged the note from his hand and read it himself. He was stunned. "Shit, for real?! How the hell did that happen!"

Yuuji shrugged, but apparently, he heard it loud and clear after the battle. When Mahorage stared him down and spoke those incoherent words, what he said was according to Itadori. 'You may borrow my power, to protect the dragon' that was it.

"So… I can call upon him… to help you?" Megumi asked.

He nodded. Why this was a condition he wasn't sure, but either way, they have another powerful summons. "You showed it respect." Suiryu said right away as he burned the note.

"Wait, why did you…"

"The less people know the better, not a word." He ordered. "But for argument sake, let me explain it. Shikigami and divine creatures and very close in relations. Both are living, breathing creatures and as such they are to be treated respectfully. It saw how the divine users were treating the wyvern. However, when Fushiguro bowed and asked for his power, it was a sincere request, not a command. Despite how they appear, they know when their power is being used and squandered… Yuuji here set you up. You owe him"

Yuuji was stunned yet Fushiguro nodded in agreement. "I know, Yuuji, thanks"

He merely nodded back to him, but then his stomach roared. It startled those around him, and yet as he held his belly in pain, Yuuji's eyes were growing heavy. "Bro?" they rolled back as he collapsed. Suiryu caught him before he hit the ground, but Yuuji was out cold.

"Itadori!?" Fushiguro asked with worry.

Suiryu checked him over and sighed. "He's gonna turn back," he said. "His moment of clarity is over, shit, that was a few hours if that and he slept through most of it!" With care, he picked Yuuji off the ground and slung him over his shoulder. "Better get him back to bed."

Along the way, Fushiguro kept thinking over what happened, how it happened, how it felt. It was a taste of Mahorage's power, and yet he believed he still has a lot to learn before he earns the right to summon him again.

He returned to the others. The councilmen were still white as sheets after their interaction with Kitsune, but there was nothing more to say to them. Yet, he couldn't help but feel their eyes boring into him. They have seen him at his full potential. Are they going to be more careful around him now? Or will they try and sway him to their side and do their bidding? He didn't know at this point, he didn't care either.

"Where is little brother?" Choso asked of him with concern in his voice.

"He passed out, his moment of clarity is over. Suiryu thinks he will turn back into a baby soon enough so he took him to the room again."

Choso and the brothers were stunned. "Shit, so soon!" Junpei protested. "We barely saw him and he is already turning back…"

"It's just the way it is, perhaps it is a good sign since now his body knows where he needs to improve and how to store the new energy he will gain," Kitsune explained.

"Either way, he's gonna be a baby again…"

Choso suddenly paused oddly. "Excuse me," he said and began to chase after Suiryu.

Kitsune paused as well. She sighed and rolled her eyes. "These divine users are really pissing me off…" she muttered.

"Wait, some are still here?" Gojo asked.

She nodded. "Their so called plan B. Problem is this, as young master is converting back into a baby dragon… the great lady has come to check up on him…" she said but then smirked. "Just don't be surprised if you find more bodies sooner than later…"

Suiryu had just gotten Yuuji to his room, he was careful to put him in the nest bed and let him sleep. "Sorry it was so short lived…" he whispered. Yet, as he was about to leave, he sensed it.

A powerful presence had come into the dorm and she was now seated on Yuuji's old bed. "Hey," Suiryu said. "Would you like anything? Snacks? Drink?" he asked offhandedly. He turned to Yuuji and then said. "Baby?" awkwardly.

She smirked. "I take it Choso insisted upon the refreshments?" she asked.

"More or less… Still, why are you here? Is it because…" he said and pointed to Yuuji.

She merely nodded her head to him. "Yes, I wanted to see him during his moment of clarity… it appears it did not last long for him, how unfortunate…" she said with a sigh. "I was hoping he would have a little more time as his normal self… But it appears that time was cut since he used his reserves to heal his friend," her eyes drifted down.

Curious, Suiryu peered behind him and was stunned. Yuuji was already a baby once more! That wasn't even five minutes! "Damn…" he muttered. He turned back to the great Lady. "Did… you want to hold him or something?"

She smiled as her arms reached out. "I heard his stomach rumble, he was about due for a feeding," Suiryu was careful as he gathered Yuuji up in his sweater, he presented him to her in a little bundle. The great lady stared down at him with such affection, perhaps this is how a mother peers at her children. He didn't really know himself, but could only assume. "I'll leave you two alone then?"

She nodded.

As he was about to leave, she called out. "Suiryu…"

He paused and turned to face her. "Don't bother with those small fry lingering about… leave them to me," she said and bore a wicked grin.

He shuttered from that look and nodded. He left the room only to nearly run into Choso. "Little brother!" he said.

"Ssshhh, he has company right now…"

"Oh… What do you have in the way of refreshments?"

Suiryu smirked as he brought Choso to the kitchen. He went over the cupboards but shook his head to the selection. "These are not suitable for her… I will make some tea and perhaps go back to my abode and bring some snacks…"

"She didn't ask for any. I already offered…" but then paused. Choso did too as 'big brother' mode suddenly activated in him. "Ah, you don't have to bother… she insisted," Suiryu explained and gave him 'the look'.

Choso paused but nodded in understanding. The two sat and waited in the kitchen as seven strange men appeared in the halls. They froze at the sight of them, in fact, they appeared rather fearful! "Wait, they KNEW!" one protested.

"Yeah, but we ain't going to do anything." Suiryu said as he helped himself to some tea. "Just a word of warning, you enter that door… you accept your fate as to what happens next. We won't do a thing to help or save you," he warned.

They paused oddly. "Wait, you are saying we can go in, but you won't stop us here and now?" one asked in a confusing tone.

"Exactly," said Choso as he had a cup as well. "In fact, we won't move from this spot, use any of our curse technique or fight in any form. But, despite that. You will die, if you dare to enter that room that holds my little brother," he said in an oddly calm tone.

The seven bore greedy grins. "Oh? So the dragon is in there? You do realize we are elite divine users?"

Suiryu peered over at them, looked over each and every one of them. They wore the same white outfit with gold trim on the cuffs of their arms and down the front of their jackets. "Meh," he said with a shrug before going back to his drink.

They still snickered and grinned. One was brash enough to kick open the door as they stormed the room. It was silent at first until one said. "Wait… who…"

"YOU DARE INTERRUPT BONDING TIME WITH MY CHILD!"

Suiryu was just pouring himself another cup of tea when the world trembled. The lights flickered as he was barely able to pour his tea straight. Yet he and Choso continued to sit rather peacefully. The room went eerily black and a powerful surge erupted before it returned to normal again. There wasn't a sound, nor did anyone else come out of the room.

"Great lady, would you like some tea?" Choso called.

There was silence at first. "That would be delightful."
