Chapter 4: The Witchy Sheep

In the shadow realm, Magnus was looking for a certain dreamer who was holding the dream life force. As soon as he got a good eye on the photo, it was a picture of the sheep with the white skin, black wool, purple-striped horns, and wore a purple ruffled dress.

"Mmm, now here's an interesting dreamer I've been looking forward to!" Magnus grinned. "As soon as I will find her, I will steal her dream life force. That way, Noelle will be very impressed when those happy dreams will become a nightmare chaos!"

At the island of Triforce, Vicki and Robert were putting up the decorations for Halloween. They mostly set up the pumpkin decorations inside and outside of their houses. Once they were done, Robert went to his pumpkin patch to see if the pumpkins were ready to harvest. Since all of them were fully grown, he only harvested some and took care of the rest later.

"There! I think that will do!" said Robert, as he put some pumpkins into the crate and brought them to his house. "Oh right, I remembered that I have to give some to Vicki first!"

Before Robert would give some pumpkins to Vicki, he quickly washed three pumpkins with his garden hose. He has to make sure that the dirt was removed from the pumpkins. Vicki exited her house and found her boyfriend washing the pumpkins at his front yard. After Robert was done, he glanced at her and took the cleaned pumpkins from the ground.

"Hey Vicki, I brought you some pumpkins," said Robert happily. "They're ready to use for baking and cooking! And don't worry, I already washed them."

"Thanks, Robert, they're looking great!" said Vicki joyfully, as she took one of the pumpkins from Robert and headed back to her house.

While Robert was following Vicki into her house, Sammy and Jimmy were hiding behind the tree and glimpsing at their neighbors. As soon as they made it inside, the twins stepped away from the tree and made their next sudden move. They looked over at Robert's pumpkin patch and saw the remaining pumpkins that weren't harvested yet.

"Alright, Jimmy, this'll be our chance to snatch those pumpkins!" said Sammy greedily.

"Yeah, way too easy to get them!" Jimmy agreed, as he and Sammy walked to the patch and started collecting the pumpkins.

One hour later, Robert washed up the rest of the pumpkins from his crate and stored them in his fridge. Once they were settled, he took the empty crate and went to the pumpkin patch again. When he arrived, he found out that the remaining pumpkins were now gone. He started to look around his surroundings until he found the fresh footprints on the ground. He followed them to see of where they led him to until they were stopped at one house, Slapjacks' house. Robert was all pissed off that he should've known they were the ones who took the pumpkins from his patch. So, he knocked on the door and Sammy answered it, with Jimmy behind him.

"Hey guys, did you took the pumpkins from my patch?" Robert asked calmly.

"Funny you should ask, Robert; but yes, we did took them!" Sammy replied honestly.

"Guess I should've known better, Sammy..." Robert gritted his teeth and pulled the twins' ears with his firm fingers. Finally, he gave them more of a tip, less of a warning. "Next time, all you both have to do is ask before you take them, got it?"

"Ahh, o-okay, we got it already..." Sammy moaned.

"Ow-wee, y-yeah, r-right back at you, man..." Jimmy groaned.

Robert immediately released Sammy and Jimmy's ears after he heard their confirmation. So, he left them be and went straight back to his house. Sammy and Jimmy rubbed their ears softly after they were pulled by Robert no more than a minute.

The next morning, Vicki was lying on her bed, sleeping before she could wake up. Until suddenly, she heard a familiar voice, whose none other than Luna, inside of her mind.

"You must protect the dreamer who dreams of becoming a witch before it's too late..." Luna echoed, as she made Vicki woke up in alarm.

When Vicki was awake, she rose up from her bed and quickly looked around her surroundings. She took a deep breath before she could exhale. She started to ponder about what Luna said to her.

"Hmm, a dreamer who dreams of becoming a witch?" Vicki muttered. "Well, whoever that is, I'll be sure to meet her and protect her of all cost!"

Vicki was walking around the island to search for a dreamer. She noticed that there's someone who's camping in Triforce. She decided to drop by to see the camper. When she entered the tent, she saw the sheep with the white skin and the black wool. She greeted the sheep, and the sheep greeted her back.

"Hey Muffy, I see that you're camping here," said Vicki.

"Why yes, of course I do!" said Muffy, the sheep. "Besides, there's nothing radical than in here, nightshade! Am I right?"

"You are exactly right though."

"Anyways, I have brought something with me. Want to check it out, nightshade?"

Vicki nodded. "Yes, let me see."

Muffy took out the book and showed it to Vicki. "Ta-da! Here it is! It's the book called 'The Sheep, The Witch, And The Magic Mirror'!"

"Isn't it, like, the scary story?" Vicki asked.

"It is, but I don't believe it's that scary, nightshade..."

"I see... Do you like it?"

"Like it? I love it! I always dream of becoming a witch who wields the power of the magic mirror, just like in the story, nightshade!"

Vicki suddenly realized of what Luna said to her. She has to protect the dreamer who "dreamed of becoming a witch." That could only mean that this dreamer was actually Muffy. Until few seconds later, she was interrupted by the sheep camper while she was focusing on her objective.

"Yo, Vicki, aren't you listening of what I'm saying?" Muffy asked.

"Y-Yes, I'm listening!" Vicki answered hesitantly.

"Very well, nightshade."

Meanwhile, Sammy and Jimmy were walking to the beach. Until suddenly, they were bumping into someone who was very unfamiliar. They turned around and glared at the stranger. He also looked at them very sternly as if he wanted to pick a fight with them.

"Hey, just watch where you're going, will you?" said Sammy, being irritated.

"Yeah, watch where you're going, you punk!" Jimmy repeated, as he was very annoyed as his big brother.

The stranger looked to be a bit chubby, had dark gray hair, gray eyes, wore a black leather jacket, black jeans, and red sneakers. He puffed out the smoke from his nose and sneered at them. Sammy and Jimmy were a bit confused as they blinked their eyes and glanced at each other before they glanced back at the stranger.

Robert was minding his own business as he was taking a sip of water. When he immediately heard someone shouting, he rushed to find out of what's going on. Suddenly, he saw Sammy and Jimmy hanging by the tree with their shirt collars stuck into the tree branches.

"Hey guys, how's it hanging?" Robert asked jokingly.

"Just get us down from here already, Goldstein!" Sammy exclaimed.

"Yeah, get us down from here!" Jimmy repeated. "Just blame the chubby guy who did this to us!"

"Chubby guy?" said Robert curiously, raising his eyebrow.

"We recently saw him heading to the campsite after he hung us up," Sammy explained.

"Yeah...although, he said something about interfering with the camper?" Jimmy added.

After Robert listened to Sammy and Jimmy, he started to react as he rushed to the campsite without hesitation. He completely forgot to help them get down from the tree branches. They're starting to complain at the island representative about this situation until the branches suddenly snapped and the twins fell to the ground.

The chubby stranger arrived at the campsite so he entered the tent this instant. He saw Vicki and Muffy having their time together and chatting about the book the sheep brought during her camping times. He glanced at the book, then glanced at Muffy, and so on. But Vicki immediately stopped him and asked him nicely to wait outside since three's a crowd was a little too much to handle for the tent. The stranger glared at her and dragged her out of the tent by force. Muffy was startled after what she saw was very annoying.

"H-Hey, what on earth did you do that for, nightshade?!" Muffy asked, glaring at the mean stranger. "Dude, she was only asking you to wait outside until she left the tent!"

"Ha! I have no patience whatsoever!" the stranger smirked, as he glared at Muffy fiercely.

When Vicki was thrown out of the tent by the unknown stranger, she slowly stood up and dusted off her clothes with her own hands. Robert rushed to Vicki after he saw her got pushed away by the unfamiliar person. He asked her if she's alright, and she told him she's okay right now. Suddenly, they heard someone screaming and saw the dark aurora inside of the tent.

"Oh no, this can't be happening!" Vicki panicked, as her eyes were widened when she suddenly knew of what's happening next.

"Y-You don't think-?!" Robert gasped, when he saw someone flying out of the tent. Then, he saw someone else, who carried the dream life force in hand, exited the tent. "Hey you! What did you do to this camper?!"

"Why, I turned this sheep into a nightmare monster, that's what!" Magnus explained. "So, I snatched her dream life force after I removed my disguise."

"You...I should've known you were up to no good!" said Vicki angrily. "So, you're that chubby guy who pushed me away from the tent, right?"

"Yes, that's right. The chubby guy is me this whole time! But anyways, I have to go now. I'll let that nightmare sheep to take care of both of you! So, have a nice death!"

After Magnus disappeared with the dream life force, this would be the chance for Vicki and Robert to save Muffy. Before they could transform, Sammy and Jimmy were pissed off when Robert forgot to help them get down from the tree. Few seconds later, they almost got hit by the nightmare monster who appeared to be Muffy. When they saw an evil witchy sheep, they began to panic and started running away as they screamed. Now, the twins were out of the way, Vicki and Robert could finally transform into their hero versions.

"Oh man, we need to slow this nightmare monster down and fast!" said Masked Swordmaster. "The way she flies with her broom, the more difficult for us to catch her!"

"Perhaps, my angelic feather tornado will do," Phantom Angel suggested. "So...Here I go! Angelic feather tornado!"

Once Phantom Angel's feather tornado was aiming at the nightmare monster, the evil sheep used her magical mirror to counter her attack. When it got reflected, it bounced back at the angel. Luckily, Masked Swordmaster saved her from getting a direct hit.

"Are you alright?" Masked Swordmaster asked.

"Yes, I'm alright!" Phantom Angel replied.

"Allow me to give it a shot!" Masked Swordmaster took out his shooting star rescue cannon and aimed at the monster. "Rescue cannon cyclone!"

The nightmare sheep once again used her magical mirror to reflect Masked Swordmaster's attack. It immediately bounced back at him, but he quickly dodged his own attack.

"Man, no matter what attacks we threw at her, she keeps reflecting them back to us!" said Phantom Angel, being frustrated. "Is there anything else we haven't tried?"

"Well, let me see..." said Masked Swordmaster, as he was trying to think. "I believe the magical mirror only reflects magical attacks and projectiles. But there is only one disadvantage...It probably won't counter physical attacks?"

"Oh, I think you have a good point there! The magical mirror may have worked on magical attacks and projectiles, but it doesn't work on physical attacks at all."

Since the dynamic duo had solve the problem and finally found the solution to stop the nightmare monster, Phantom Angel immediately threw her tiara at the monster. She quickly used the magical mirror to stop her attack. Suddenly, Masked Swordmaster quickly kicked the mirror from her hooves and slashed it with his dream rescue sword. Once the mirror was shattered into pieces, the monster was being electrocuted by Phantom Angel's tiara. After she fell to the ground, the angel used her dream rescue staff to turn Muffy back to normal.

It was the night of Halloween, Vicki was dressed up as the witch and Robert was dressed up as the vampire. They gathered up with the residents of Triforce, including Sammy and Jimmy, at the plaza. Vicki decided to tell the scary story called "The Sheep, The Witch, And The Magic Mirror." She received the book from Muffy, who was lucky to have a spare before she left the island. Everyone was very excited about the story, except for Sammy and Jimmy who decided to run off and went straight to their home. Vicki and Robert laughed very quietly behind their backs before beginning to tell the residents the scary story.
