Chapter 5: Beau And The Dreamy Breads

Robert was heading to the river to catch some fishes. When he noticed that there's someone camping in Triforce, he checked it out to see who it was. As soon as he entered the tent, he met the orange deer with white snout, yellow and gold-striped antlers, and wore the reindeer sweater. The deer waved at him with his black hoof while he was eating his fresh baked bread.

"Hey there, Beau, you're camping here today I assume?" Robert smiled.

"Yes, I sure do, saltlick!" Beau replied. "It's a good thing that I brought along with my fresh homemade bread!"

"It looks delicious!"

"I know, right? I made it myself before coming here."

"Very good to know."

In the shadow realm, Solomon, Magnus, Dalilah, and Viridian were scrambling all the photos of the different animals. With luck, the reptile demon named Solomon found an interesting photo, and it was a picture of Beau.

"I'm going to stick with this one!" said Solomon excitedly. "This deer will have some unique dream, along with the dream life force!"

"Fine, just go for it then," said Dalilah sarcastically. "I'm not amused with this deer anyways."

"Okay, suit yourself then..." Solomon shrugged, as he vanished and began searching for Beau.

Back in Triforce, Beau showed the pictures of different kinds of bread in his smartphone to Robert. The island representative was amazed that he nodded at every single picture the deer camper took.

"Wow, Beau, that was some baked goods you've been eyeing these days," said Robert surprisingly. "May I ask which of these is your favorite?"

"Ah, that is a good question, Robert..." said Beau, as he was trying to think before giving a thought of which bread was his favorite. "Well, it is hard for me to decide on which one is my favorite. But I believe I like all of them! All of them are my favorites, saltlick!"

While Beau was daydreaming about bread, Robert couldn't help but to grimace. Suddenly, someone started to barge in inside of the tent. Robert and Beau looked to see of who it was. By the odd expression from the island representative, Sammy and Jimmy entered the tent and met the camper along with someone they already knew.

"Why, hello there, Beau!" Sammy greeted, then he glanced at Robert. "Yo, Mr. Island Representative G, what are you doing here?"

"I just came here to see Beau, what else?" Robert replied flatly. "And there isn't any room for all of us in this tent. So, you two might as well wait outside for a bit."

"You're not the boss of us, Goldstein! You should be the one who's leaving!"

"Yeah, get out of this tent at once!" Jimmy agreed.

"So, you guys want a piece of me?" Robert shrugged. "Then, bring it on!"

Vicki was walking to her house after she visited one of her neighbors' houses. Suddenly, she heard a commotion that was coming from the tent. As she was about to check it out of what's going on, she saw Robert got kicked out of the tent. She immediately rushed to him to see if he's alright.

"Hey Robert, are you okay?" Vicki asked. "What happened?"

"Yeah, I'm okay," Robert answered. "And as for what happened, Sammy and Jimmy threw me out of the tent!"

"Seriously? Did they really throw you out?"

Robert nodded gravely. "You've got that right..."

Robert stood up and dusted off his pants with his own two hands. He quickly changed his subject and started talking about the recent camper, Beau. He told her about the deer's obsession of assorted breads. He even showed him the pictures of different varieties of bread in his smartphone. Vicki couldn't help but to grin at Beau's interest.

"I guess Beau is quite a bread lover, isn't he?" Vicki suggested.

"Oh yeah, he certainly does!" Robert answered. "He loves different kinds of bread, especially the flavors, shapes, and sizes!"

"Wow... But anyways, do you know what Beau's favorite bread is?"

"I asked him that, but he said he doesn't know which bread is his favorite..."

"I-I see..."

When Vicki and Robert left the campsite, there was a guy with green and black hair, wore a punk outfit, and black boots. He immediately walked inside of the tent and met the deer along with the Slapjack twins. Sammy and Jimmy didn't know of who he was, but they tried to tell him that there was no room for one more visitor. The guy smirked at them as he started to roll up his sleeves.

Meanwhile, Vicki was starting to make her homemade bread inside of her house. Robert was watching over her while he was sitting on the chair. He was very curious of what kind of bread she was making. Vicki told him that it was a surprise one; and her boyfriend nodded and quietly said, "Oh..." So, Robert was heading to the couch and lied down for just a little while. Suddenly, he heard Luna's voice inside of his mind.

"Help...The dreamer who dreams of different varieties of bread is in danger..." Luna echoed. "Please, save him this instant..."

Robert gasped and blinked his eyes rapidly before getting off the couch. Vicki glanced at him and wore a worried expression on her face.

"What's wrong, Robert?" Vicki asked.

"It's Luna," Robert answered, "she's telling me to save the dreamer who dreams of all the different kinds of bread..."

"I think she's referring to Beau, am I right?"

"If that's the case, then yes..."

Vicki and Robert rushed to the campsite after they exited Vicki's house. As soon as they got here, they found Sammy and Jimmy buried in the sand. Leaving their heads out for air, neither of them could escaped.

"Uh, Sammy, Jimmy, what happened here?" Vicki asked.

"It's really a long story..." Sammy replied, before urging for help. "But get us out of here now!"

"Yeah, get us out of here!" Jimmy agreed.

"Okay, okay, we'll get you two out of here in no time at all!" said Robert.

After Vicki and Robert pulled the Slapjack brothers out of the sand, they heard a strange sound. A nightmare monster appeared from the tent and was launching the dinner rolls at them. Vicki and Robert quickly dodged the rolls while Sammy and Jimmy screamed and started to run around as they could. They realized that the dinner rolls were not edible, they were hard as rocks.

"Sammy, Jimmy, go back to your house this instant!" Vicki demanded, as she gave them an order.

"Like, I take the orders from the island representative's girlfriend!" said Sammy sarcastically. "But sorry, not a chance!"

"Yeah, you're not the boss of us!" said Jimmy abruptly.

Vicki and Robert grimaced at the twins and shook their heads in disbelief. Until suddenly, the slices of sourdough bread were thrown at the tree and one of them sliced off the tree branch. Sammy and Jimmy's faces went pale that they were frightened after what they just saw.

"O-Okay, w-we'll be heading home now!" said Sammy, being horrified.

"Y-Yeah, w-we will do as we were told..." Jimmy shrieked.

After Sammy and Jimmy ran off to their house, Vicki and Robert were making sure that the twins were out of sight. Once they were gone, it's time for the dynamic duo to transform. They were off to save Beau from his nightmare, hideous form. They immediately encountered the reptile demon who took the dream life force from the deer camper.

"You punk, what did you do to Beau?!" Masked Swordmster asked, pointing at Solomon.

"Do you mean the oddball deer who was now turned into the nightmare monster?" Solomon explained. "I just took his dream life force before he became like this."

"Well, the only monster I see is you, you bastard!" Masked Swordmaster clenched his teeth and cracked his knuckles.

"Geez, someone's being rude, but you're not wrong, at least... Well, I guess I'll leave the monster to both of you. So, farewell!"

"Hey, you get back here this instant!"

Solomon ignored of what Masked Swordmaster was saying and vanished into thin air with the dream life force in his hand. Suddenly, the masked white knight discovered that Phantom Angel was trying to slow the nightmare monster down. But instead, she was defenseless while he was throwing his bread attacks at her. So, Masked Swordmaster saved her from peril by using his shield.

"Rescuing mirror shield counter!" Masked Swordmaster shouted, as his mirror shield stopped the monstrosity deer's attacks and bounced right back at him. Once the nightmare monster was fallen, Masked Swordmaster gave Phantom Angel a signal.

"Dream healing refresh!" Phantom Angel called, as she used her staff to turn Beau back to normal before he fainted.

Few hours later, Beau was still staying inside of his tent. When he saw Vicki coming in, she brought a basket of different kinds of bread. He looked over them and was very happy that he really smelled the fresh baked bread.

"Hey Beau, Robert told me that you're really a big fan of bread, aren't you?" said Vicki joyfully.

"Well, he made a lucky guess after all, saltlick!" Beau grinned. "Are these, you made, just for me?"

Vicki nodded. "Yes, sir! They're all yours!"

"Thanks a bunch, Vicki!"

After Vicki left the tent, she headed back to her house and grabbed some remaining bread to give to Robert. When she knocked on the door, he answered it right away. Then, he noticed that she was carrying the bag of bread. He immediately let her in and took the bag from her. As soon as he opened the bag, he saw two different shapes of bread, which they were wrapped with the plastic wrapper. One bread shaped like a star and another was shaped like a heart.

"Wow, Vicki, these are amazing!" said Robert happily.

"So, do you like it?" Vicki asked.

"Of course I do! I love them! I've never seen anything like them before. Are these the 'surprise' bread you're referring to?"

"Yes, I did mentioned it, did I?"

"Yeah, that's right!"

Vicki and Robert decided to have a beef stew along with the two shapes of bread. They wanted to give each other a romantic kiss before beginning to prepare for dinner.
