"Fuck." Matt cursed as he accidentally cut his finger. He was cooking dinner.

"Where did you learn that?" His sister asked as he began cleaning the minor wound. It hadn't bled, but it still needed to be covered.

"Not me." Ren, Mishi, Pake, and Ichigo all chimed together.

"With hero teacher. I intern with him. Man scream that when we catch him." Matt explained. The kid was far too truthful.

"That's not a nice word. Don't say it again." Luciana directed the teenager.

"Ok." He resumed cutting up raw meat. Luciana began to doze on the couch once again.

"Frankly, I'm more worried about Luciana. She's done nothing but work since her brother died." Ichigo said after they were certain the woman wouldn't pay attention.

"Since she was ten? That's harsh. I thought it was only since she was twelve when her parents… kicked the bucket." Pake winced in sympathy.

"Of course, but we've all seen how independant Ana is. Sometimes even Enji doesn't know what she's got going on. She's a mystery." Mishi added.

"I really don't know what to do anymore."

"Since Enji moved, Luciana hasn't been sleeping. She is asleep on the couch with us! She never does that!" Ichigo gestured to his sleeping best friend angrily.

"That's true. It probably doesn't help her in the least. Besides, she said she quit one of her jobs." Mishi gently pushed Ichigo's hand away from the sleeping blunette.

"That's a lie. She still works at all three places." Pake sighed in frustration. "Matt said so and I trust him."

"It 'cause she not see Enji." Matt called from the kitchen.

"What?" The four men asked.

"She not see Enji. He too busy and so she makes stuff for her to do. She not see him much since she help him move."

"That makes sense."

"I know it's been busy around here with All Might going back to America and the Mizo gang coming back, but not that busy, right?" Ren asked Pake.

"No. It's been that busy. Enji is still the number two hero. He's got a lot to do, whether it's paperwork, training sidekicks, or being a hero."

"No wonder she's been so frustrated. Matt's not home a lot anymore. She can't see Enji. We're all busy with our own lives or sleeping when she's not busy."

"She's having a problem with something else too." Luciana broke into their conversation. "She wants to sleep and not be talked about." Her bloodshot golden eyes were focused on them.

The four men apologized.

"Nee-san! I love you," Matt called from the kitchen.

"Love you too," she replied tiredly. "Now if you four wouldn't mind, I'm going to my room."

"No, you're not. You're going to the roof to be depressed." Ichigo stopped her.

"Yes. I am going to the roof to be depressed." She snarked. "Not. I need to get something out of my room." She shook his hand off her and marched away.

"Daaa-ng, babe. I haven't seen her get like that with you since… I don't know."

"No, the last time was when I flirted with Enji while I was drunk." He smiled.

Luciana walked out of her room calmly. In her hands was a wrapped package. "Sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. I'm just having a hard time sleeping." She sighed. "I found out why the alley we used was empty. Titanium Manium was killed that day and the authorities were going crazy. He was a Mizo gang lackey and a rapist, pedophile, murderer, and petty thief."

"Yeah, he was killed in an alley, apparently trying to rape Redcat, who killed him. The authorities are surprised, but Redcat always stops people like that, just not normally in such a violent way. She is actually a very good person -for a criminal." Mishi interjected.

"Not going to call them a villain?" Pake asked.

"She's not. The definition of a villain is someone who uses their quirk to break the law. She's just a regular criminal without a quirk," Mishi defended her. "Besides, she's rescued heroes and civilians from villain attacks all through her career. And do you remember how Redcat started? A tiny mite who stole from grocery stores. She's obviously trying to get by. And her AniOrphans, as they call themselves, were all children saved by her and provided for. People only know because of that little girl that told the authorities she was from them."

"Ok, I will admit. She's actually rescued me a couple of times. I've seen her in action and she only hurts villains. She won't attack a hero. She's a good person, but she went down the wrong path! That's inexcusable." Pake insisted.

"Enough. This is a hero debate. Which stays out of my home or you're out of my home." Luciana cut in.

"Sorry." The two men apologized.

"Thank you." She sighed in irritation. "Matt how long 'til dinner?"

"Little."

"'Kay…" She sighed again. "I'll set the table." She glanced at the door sadly. It took her barely a minute to set the table for everyone.

"Are you expecting someone?" Ren asked.

"No… I'm not," came the sad reply.

"Dinner done!" Matt's delighted cry broke the confused tension.

"Good. Put it on the table and we'll eat."

It wasn't long before they were all eating the pleasant dinner together. After they finished, Luciana grabbed the package she had set aside.

"What that?" Matt asked.

"Today, September fifth, you are seventeen." Luciana began. "You are almost a pro hero. So, I had this special gift made for you." She gave him the box. "Happy Birthday."

Without hesitation, he tore it open. Inside was a knife inside a sheath. "It's a knife?" Mat asked.

"Press the button." He did as he was told and the knife expanded into a sword.

"You got sword me!" He squealed happily.

"Yup, I got the sword. And it's easier to carry. The button on the other side changes the blade from sharp to dull. And if you want to make it a knife again, press the first button." Her voice was choked with pride.

"Thank you, Nee-san!" He pressed the button to turn it back into a knife.

"Use it well." Pake advised. He knew the danger of the edged weapon very well.

"Please train me sensei." Matt requested.

"All right." The two immediately left.

"Holy… that was expensive, wasn't it?" Ichigo breathed. Luciana nodded as tears began to fall.

"He's going to be an amazing hero." Mishi observed. "I will go supervise so he can make it. Pake is not gentle with a sword." He hurried off.

"We'll clean up. You go calm down." Ren told her.

"Ok, I've got work in a few hours. I think I'll go in early." She whispered. No matter how much you try, it's always hard to let someone you love go. Luciana retreated into her room. After a moment of staring at her handmade plushie, she touched it's face. "I'm sorry," she whispered and grabbed her mask before leaving through the window.

She began to walk away from her apartment without putting on the mask. She walked for a while, not paying attention to where she was going. When she returned to reality completely, she realized she was outside of Enji's house. "Of course I'd wander over here." She muttered and continued walking. Her mask was in her backpack, so no worries there. When she was past the border of the property, she turned and began walking towards the back. About halfway, she scaled the tall fence border.

"What am I doing with my life?" She asked herself before jumping down onto the property. Thank goodness for learning how to fall from that height and not break her legs.

She followed a faint path that she herself had worn in the dense shrubbery. It led right to the house. She began climbing a tree not too far from the house. She stopped when she was level with the second floor window. Inside the room was her boyfriend. She had the perfect view of him sleeping.

She sighed in disgust. "Why do I keep doing this?" She asked herself quietly. For all her apparent disgust with her actions, she stayed and watched him sleep for quite some time.
