Chapter 15: Music And Harmony
Vicki, Claire, and Sonia were setting up the vacation homes for seven clients in one big island. Because most of the clients were requesting their homes that screamed "musical." It took them several hours to complete their vacation homes. After they were done, the girls were heading back to Paradise Planning to collect their payments from Lottie and bought some items before going home. Vicki decided to buy some chocolates for her younger brother Nick and her friends as souvenirs. As soon as the girls were outside, they saw the boys rushing to their love ones.
"Hey ladies, took you all long enough to finish the job," said Sammy.
"Yeah, we've been waiting for you for so long now," said Jimmy.
"Sorry about all that, guys," said Claire. "You know what has to be done, must be done."
"Right, right..." Sammy chuckled, as he was about to give something for Claire. But he nearly forgot, so he and Jimmy took some chocolates from Vicki who just bought them recently. "Ah, here you go, Claire!"
"Uh, thanks, Sammy..." said Claire, being uncomfortable and accepted his gift.
"And I brought something for you, too, Sonia, here!" said Jimmy happily, as he handed the chocolates to Sonia.
"Um, thanks a lot, Jimmy..." said Sonia anxiously, as she accepted the chocolates from Jimmy.
Vicki couldn't help but to pout at the Slapjack twins for taking some chocolates from her without asking. But at least, she still had enough to send to her brother and her friends. Then, she glanced at Robert and asked him if he could take one. He accepted the offer and took one from her pile.
Vicki and the others had arrived back in Triforce and headed straight to their homes. Vicki packed up the chocolates, she bought from Paradise Planning, into one package and dropped it off at Dodo Airlines so Orville the dodo would send it to the town of StarLily, where Nick and the others currently lived. Once that settled, she went back to her house and went straight to her comfy bed.
The next day, Vicki came to visit one of her clients' homes, which it was setup with the pop star stage in the living room. There was a blue cat whose name was Rosie, and she lived in this vacation house. She was glad that Vicki was visiting her and let her in. The cat told the Paradise Planning employee that she was doing good and was working on her lyrics from scratch. She showed her draft to her so Vicki could look it up. She nodded and mumbled quietly while reading Rosie's song lyrics. After she was done, she gave it back to Rosie before she left.
Vicki went to see the next client who appeared to be a white bird whose name was Piper. She let her in and the Paradise Planning employee asked the bird if everything's okay with her vacation house. She told her that it went well, thanks to her. She also told her that she was practicing her piano at home. Vicki asked Piper if she could watch her play the piano, and the bird responded that it was okay for her to watch. So, Piper readied her piano and started playing the music while Vicki was watching and listening to the music.
Several minutes later, Vicki stopped by to meet one of Claire's clients. It was the red and black dog named Cherry who liked rock-n-roll music. Vicki was interested of seeing Cherry playing the drums if the dog wanted to. So, she grabbed the drumsticks and began beating the drums with all her might. Vicki listened to the rhythm and started humming while Cherry was playing the drums.
Vicki arrived at one of Sonia's clients' houses to see what the vacation house was like. She met the white hamster named Flurry who was humming the song in her angelic way. The green-haired girl loved her sweet voice that it made her heart fluttered. When Flurry noticed that Vicki was right behind her, she was startled and got embarrassed that she didn't expect anyone to hear her sing.
"Oh hi, Vicki, I didn't notice you were here, powderpuff," said Flurry, as her small cheeks were flushed in red.
"S-Sorry, Flurry, I didn't mean to bother you, did I?" said Vicki apologetically.
"N-No, of course not. But what brings you here?"
"Oh, I was just stopping by to visit you, just like the others."
"That's very nice of you, powderpuff."
"Mm-hmm, so can I ask you one thing, Flurry, before I go?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Can I listen to you sing? Don't worry, nobody's looking if you're worried."
"Well, sure, I wouldn't mind sing in front of you, powderpuff."
Flurry cleared her voice and started to sing in front of Vicki. The Paradise Planning employee motioned her body like she was dancing while listening to the hamster singing a song.
Several minutes later, Vicki stopped by to see the light blue mouse whose name was Broccolo. He was waving his baton like he was leading the marching band. He was humming a tune in triumph until he saw Vicki watching him go. He waved at her, and she waved him back. Broccolo demonstrated her of how he led the marching band, and he explained to her that he always practiced every single time.
Vicki arrived at the next vacation house, and it belonged to the black and white squirrel with the light blue tip of her tail. Her name was Tasha who dreamed of performing the concert. Vicki realized that Tasha was pretending that there was a crowd applauding her while she was bowing. The Paradise Planning employee decided to play along until the squirrel saw her clapping. Tasha wasn't expecting Vicki to come and visit her, but she gave her a heartwarming welcome and loved her vacation home that Claire made. Vicki was very glad to hear Tasha's review and gave Claire a report later.
Last, but not least, Vicki came to see the white deer with two horns. Because of this, some were mistaken this deer for a male, but was actually a female. Her name was Shino, and she was setting up a shrine for the musical. She immediately showed the beautiful shrine to Vicki, and the Paradise Planning employee thought it was fantastic. The deer was so happy to hear that it made her heart skipped.
Few hours later, Vicki was about to head back to the islands. She suddenly saw Niko taking Robert by boat to the island where she was now. The island representative jumped out of the boat and gave his fiancée a big hug and a kiss. Niko glanced at the couple and smirked that he pretended he didn't see that coming.
"Hi Robert, did Niko tell you where I was?" Vicki asked slyly.
"Yes, he did after I asked him," Robert answered. "Besides, I'd rather stay by your side than hanging out with the twins and their new girlfriends."
"Sounds like a fair point. Anyways, do you want to check out the vacation houses right now?"
"Sure, I will love to!"
Vicki gave Robert a tour to the seven vacation houses that she, Claire, and Sonia made for their clients. He was very amazed that each vacation house has a musical feel to it. He even greeted the seven clients who were now owned their vacation houses. After the tour was done, Vicki and Robert waved goodbye to the animals and headed back to the island. Before they reached to the boat, they heard a loud scream all of the sudden. They immediately checked it out to see of what's happening. They witnessed the reptile demon, Solomon who snatched the dream life forces from the animals before they were turned into the nightmare monsters. The pair quickly transformed into their heroic versions, the Duo of Justice. They leapt into the action to stop Solomon and rescued the animals from their nightmare curses.
"Solomon, you sick demon!" Masked Swordmaster shouted. "We won't let you get away with this so easily!"
"That's right, return to those dream life forces right now!" Phantom Angel demanded.
"Never, not a chance, duo of pipsqueaks!" Solomon cackled. "My nightmare monsters will demonstrate their performances. Monster band, attack them now!"
Seven nightmare monsters were ganging up on the Duo of Justice and got them surrounded. The nightmarish mouse threw the lightning baton at the dynamic duo. Masked Swordmaster used his sword to knock the baton down. Three nightmare monsters took out their instruments and began playing the music in negative vibration; and another three monsters sang a song off-key with the sonic boom. The white knight was off guard and was unable to fight back due to the horror music. Phantom Angel, on the other hand, didn't even flinch at all. The nightmare monsters' attacks didn't faze her, and Solomon didn't understand of why it didn't effect on her, but it only worked on Masked Swordmaster.
"Nice try, dude, your monsters' musical attacks didn't work on me at all!" Phantom Angel grinned slyly, while she was still standing and surviving.
"That's impossible, but why?" Solomon asked. "Although, it did work on your male counterpart, but not on you?!"
"You'd better feast your eyes on this! Heartbeat rescue musical vibration!"
After Phantom Angel launched her attack, the nightmare monsters screeched in agony. Even Solomon covered his ears and screamed in pain, the vibration knocked him down to the ground. When the nightmare monsters were finally weakened, Phantom Angel used her staff to turn them back to normal animals. Masked Swordmaster was fully recovered and aimed the sword at the reptile demon.
"Showtime's over for you, Solomon!" Masked Swordmaster exclaimed. "Your life ends here right now!"
"Ha, not in your life, pretty boy!" Solomon sneered, as he kicked the white knight fiercely and knocked him to the ground. "We will meet again next time!"
When Solomon disappeared, Phantom Angel rushed to Masked Swordmaster and helped him to get up. The seven animals were finally awakened and didn't seem to remember about what happened recently. They suddenly met the Duo of Justice who saved their lives in few minutes ago. With the trouble look on their faces, the hero of melody and purity had an idea that would soon forget about the animals' worries. Her "male counterpart" wanted to know of what her idea was exactly.
"Hey folks, um, will you all hear my request?" Phantom Angel asked, while the animals nodded in response.
One hour later, Broccolo tapped his baton and began orchestrating the band. Piper, Cherry, and Shino were the playing the instruments while Flurry, Rosie, and Tasha were the backup singers. Phantom Angel was the lead singer and Masked Swordmaster was playing the saxophone. The crowd cheered in excitement while watching the performance, including Sammy, Jimmy, Claire, and Sonia. This was the first time the girls saw the dynamic duo's performance.
"I've got to say, this performance is quite a hit!" said Claire excitedly.
"That's right, too bad Vicki and Robert missed the excitement...wherever they are right now," said Sonia.
"Eh, who cares about them anyways?" Sammy asked. "Besides, the Duo of Justice are way better than them!"
"Yeah!" Jimmy agreed.
Claire and Sonia recorded the video of the Duo of Justice's performance with their smartphones. When they saw the dynamic duo being together, they were very curious about them.
"You know, I have a strange feeling about those two..." said Sonia. "The way that the two heroes are this close, do you guys think that they're-you know...?"
"What do you mean by that, Sonia?" Jimmy asked.
"Well, it could've been my imagination, but...do you believe they're related somehow?"
"What? Sonia, I believe that's ridiculous!" Claire suggested. "There's no proof to that! Besides, there's no signs of the relationship between those two!"
"Yeah, Claire's right, nobody knows about it," said Jimmy. "Not even Sammy and myself."
"Well, if there is, then it is a beyond a mystery," Sammy interjected. "But right now, we have a concert to watch!"
"Yeah!"
While the crowd was still watching the concert, they continued to cheer very excitedly. As soon as the concert ended, they all gave a big round of applause. The performers waved at the crowd very proudly, especially the Duo of Justice. The dynamic duo left the stage and waved goodbye to the crowd and the performers. This was the time to end the performance so that everybody was ready to leave.
