Chapter 17: Home Of The Lookalike Pets

Vicki, Claire, and Sonia had finished up their clients' vacation homes from top to bottom. Four animals were very impressed by their hard work. The white and light blue cat was browsing around her new vacation home and saw the yellow bird sitting atop the sofa. The cat's name was Mitzi, and she really adored her home. Next was the black cat whose name was Kiki. Her vacation home was filled with black cat designs of furniture, wallpaper, and carpeting. There was a brown rabbit with blonde bangs, and her name was Bonbon. Her vacation house was full of rabbit decorations inside and out. Last, but not least, there was a dark brown and white deer with antlers, and his name was Zell. He has the vacation house that was surrounded by fishes big and small, just like the aquarium.

"I don't know about you guys, but their homes were more like the petting zoo, less of their vacation houses," Claire suggested, as she started to shrug.

"But you can't blame them for that, can you?" Sonia asked calmly.

"Why, of course not! Say, Vicki, what is your opinion about their vacation houses?"

"Well, Claire, I'd say they're amazing and adorable," Vicki grinned.

"Of course, they are!" said Claire and Sonia in unison.

The next day, Claire and Sonia invited Sammy and Jimmy to the island where the four vacation houses were built. They visited each vacation house and said their greetings to the clients. It took them several minutes to browse around their homes. As soon as they were done, the girls were having some good reviews from their clients. The Slapjack twins, on the other hand, grimaced at the idea of the animals' homes.

"Well, boys, what do you think about the animals' vacation homes?" Claire asked.

"I feel as though they're running their pet shops than owning their vacation homes..." Sammy replied, with the dissatisfying tone.

"Yeah, my thoughts are the same..." Jimmy answered flatly.

"I knew you two would say that..." Sonia sighed. "But thank you for your thoughts."

"Anyways, did either of you told them yet?" Claire asked, changing the subject.

"Uh, who's 'them' exactly?" Sammy asked, being confused.

"Your neighbors, Vicki and Robert, of course!"

"Oh, them! W-Well, not exactly though..."

"Yeah, we didn't get a chance to tell them yet though," said Jimmy.

"I see..." said Sonia, as she sounded very disappointed. "So, when are you both going to tell them?"

"W-Whenever we'll get a chance, we promise!"

Whatever the discussion Sammy and Jimmy had in mind, they would have to tell Vicki and Robert whether it was urgent or not. Claire and Sonia would be waiting for the duo's thoughts; and how they reacted to this situation if the twins decided to tell them.

The next day, Vicki and Robert had arrived at the island where the four vacation houses had built. They stopped by at Mitzi's house first for a visit. The yellow bird quickly flew on top of Robert's head and started chirping happily. He chuckled nervously when he felt very uncomfortable having a bird landed on his head.

"I think the little bird likes you, Robert," Vicki giggled.

"Ha ha, no doubt about it..." said Robert anxiously. "I wish I could take this bird off of my head carefully, but I don't think I could resist..."

"Then, allow me to handle that, mew," said Mitzi, as she applied the bird feed into the birdcage.

The yellow bird flew into the birdcage where the bird feed was. As soon as it went inside, Mitzi closed the cage carefully. Robert sighed in relief and slumped his shoulders as he sat down on the chair.

"Don't worry, it's not because I disliked animals or anything," Robert explained, "it's just that I was anxious around them. That's all..."

"Well, that makes sense after all," said Vicki, shrugging her shoulders.

The next vacation house, the duo stopped by, was Kiki's. Inside the house, it has the black cat design on the wallpaper, flooring, and even on every furniture. Robert grimaced at the house settings while Vicki was very impressed.

"Man, seeing the black cats gave me goosebumps..." Robert muttered quietly. "This reminds me of having a bad luck or a bad fortune..."

"Just chill out, will you?" Vicki whispered, as she elbowed her fiancé.

After Vicki and Robert left Kiki's vacation house, they stopped by at Bonbon's place. When they were inside, they saw a mini bunny playground that has a swing, seesaw, and slide. Bonbon was having fun sliding down on the slide, just like a little kid. She even held her stuffed rabbit while she was sliding again and again. Vicki was giggling and planning to join the rabbit at the playground. Robert decided to stand around and watch them having some fun at the playground.

When the playtime's over at Bonbon's vacation house, Vicki and Robert were visiting Zell whose house was their last visit. Inside of his house, he has a tank full of fishes that were big and small. The duo were awed in amazement as if they reminded them of the aquarium show. Several minutes later, they left Zell's vacation house and headed off back to the main island. When Vicki and Robert left, the vampire demon broke into Zell's house and the deer was frightened that he tried to get away from her.

Vicki and Robert were about to leave the island until they heard a horrible commotion. As soon as they turned around, they found four nightmare monsters got out of the vacation houses. Vicki and Robert rushed into the action and transformed into their hero forms. When they stopped the monsters from havoc, they saw Viridian carrying four dream life forces in her hands.

"Well, well, look who showed up just in time," Viridian snickered. "It's the Duo of Wimps if I got that one right."

"It's the Duo of Justice, you ugly vampire!" Phantom Angel clenched her teeth.

"E-Excuse me, 'ugly'?! H-How rude of you, you hideous angel!"

"W-What?! 'Hideous'?! Don't you dare say that in front of my face, you old demon lady!"

"Do I look like 'old' to you, you angelic little brat?!"

"Oh now, you called me 'little brat,' huh?! Fine, I'll show you what this 'little brat' was made of!"

While the bickering was getting intense between the heroic angel and the vampire demon, Masked Swordmaster was feeling left out due to female arguments. As soon as it was over, Viridian ordered the monsters to attack the Duo of Justice. The nightmarish cat, who was actually Mitzi, unleashed the swarm of frightening birds and another cat, who turned out to be Kiki, tossed out the angry black cats. Phantom Angel used her staff to freeze the birds while Masked Swordmaster used his sword to slay and electrocute the cats. The evil deer summoned the devil fishes and the wicked rabbit threw the explosive balls at the dynamic duo. Masked Swordmaster used his cannon to fire the fishes and turned them into crisp. Phantom Angel used her heart compact mirror to counter the balls. Four nightmare monsters got hit by the explosive balls as they failed to avoid them, just like playing dodgeball.

"Oh, come on, what are you all been doing?!" Viridian asked angrily, when she saw the nightmare monsters were already beaten. "You all could've at least fight back, you know?!"

"Ha, I'm afraid those monsters were holding back now!" Phantom Angel grinned, as she readied her staff. "Now then, dream healing refresh!"

After Phantom Angel turned the animals back to normal, Viridian was frustrated and made a retreat. The angel quickly flew into the air and threw the light sphere at her. But Viridian's portal was closed off before the attack could reach her.

Vicki and Robert were heading back to Triforce and started making a phone call. They called their siblings and friends and told them about the Paradise Planning ran by Lottie and the vacation homes for the animals. Next time, if they stopped by in Triforce, Vicki, who was now the Paradise Planning employee, and Robert would take them to the island where the Paradise Planning was; and what their thoughts about the clients' vacation homes. When the duo hung up their phones, they bumped into Sammy and Jimmy.

"Hey guys, how's it going so far?" Sammy asked.

"We were just visiting the four animals who owned the vacation houses," Vicki answered.

"Oh, you mean the ones you and the girls recently made?" Jimmy asked, while Vicki nodded in response.

"Yes, that's the one Vicki was talking about," Robert chimed in.

"So, what are your thoughts about that?" Sammy asked, looking at Robert.

"Well, I'd say they're more like the pet shops, less the vacation homes..."

"Ha, I'd agree with you on that one!"

"Yeah, my thoughts are the same!" Jimmy agreed.

Vicki grimaced at those thoughts the boys made and avoided her gaze. She wanted to complain, but instead, she didn't say anything at all and kept it to herself. And so, they all went home and called it a day.
