With Yuri
On the way, some rich-looking girls her age on bikes passed by her, calling her names and such, but knowing her, Yuri knew she wasn't the type who'd back down easily.
When those girls parked their bikes near a coffee shop, and as they were busily chatting with each other, Serena took a screwdriver and something that looks like half of a tweezer, then used both to break the lock open and stole the bike.
She then rode the bike, making her faster now, which was a problem.
He followed her until they were at an alleyway, where she met up with two other guys. One looked rich and snobby though looked like he had not a single muscle within his body and instead was very skinny. The other was probably the aforementioned character's bodyguard and was the total opposite of the other guy.
They both looked a bit familiar to him for some reason…
"So, you're the one who called me, huh. You're not bad, not at all! You're the best prostitute we've had so far. My guys would just love "playing" around with you!" The guy said with a jaunting voice.
'Wait, what?'
Serena sighed. "Yes, that's me. Now, when can I get started?"
The smaller one startled. "Well, we have, ehm, to uh, "experiment" with the people we hire first before actually hiring them," the smaller one said, clasping his hands.
"What do you mean by that?" Serena asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" the guy grinned. "Hey, BB, why don't you test her out?"
BB…? The name sounds a bit… familiar…
BB just grunted before pushing Serena to a wall and unzipping his pants.
Yuri has seen enough (u decide what I mean by this), he can't just stand there. And now, he has this damned nagging feeling that told him to protect her at all costs–ehm, save her from the current situation. 'I can't believe you do these kinds of things, you literal whore.' He thought before marching in to join them.
As he approached them, the smaller one had spotted him.
"And who might you be?" The smaller one gestured for BB to pause, he zipped his pants, hi—nah, I won't mention it.
"Hello there, (not-so gentle) gentlemen. My name is Sakaki Yuri, and will you please slowly put the girl down?"
"Sorry, Sakaki. We can't. And may you leave now? I don't want to let BB here be the one who'll do so," the skinny one warned.
"Leave me alone, bastard! I wanted this, so back off!" Serena growled towards Yuri. Yuri looked at her. "There are other ways to obtain money than… this. Unless you want," he gagged, "something else."
"Like I don't know that. I did this for money, not that; I simply don't want to work elsewhere," she said blatantly.
"This is what the girl wants, so bea—"
"Mind your own business, you sorry excuse for a… businessman. I'm talking to her, not you," Yuri retorted.
"Eh, this is my business, and my name is Mamoru," he said. "And if you won't leave, BB will let you."
'Mamoru… where have I heard that before?' "Fine by me, because I'm not leaving without her."
Mamoru tsked, "BB, let her go and get him. We can have our pleasure later."
BB literally growled as he let Serena go. He then walked towards Yuri and was about to lift him up when the aforementioned character punched him in the gut.
Which didn't do anything, since again, this is a very muscular guy he's dealing with.
There was only one thing in Yuri's mind, 'F*ck.'
BB hit the right side of his head, hard. Yuri could feel his hearing become numb.
"Yeah, get him, BB!" Mamoru cheered. Serena felt a bit of pity for him as he was technically doing this for her.
Still, he got up, and since his first move didn't work, he ran to BB's back where Mamoru stood.
"You do know that whatever you want to do won't work on him, right?" Mamoru laughed.
"On him," Yuri reminded, and before he could process what Yuri meant, Yuri kicked his shin, enough to make him fall to the ground and wail in pain.
"What're you waiting for, let's go!" Yuri yelled to Serena.
"Huh, you again. Hmph." She pouted, sitting down. "I'm not leaving.
"Tsk." Yuri went towards her then carried her, placing her on his shoulder.
Serena pulled his antennae-like hair. "Let me down!"
"Ow, stop! If you didn't act like a four-year-old throwing a tantrum, I wouldn't have done this!" Yuri yelled.
"BB, get them!" BB did so.
Serena looked at Yuri, then BB. She then knew what was in the former's mind. "DON'T do it," Serena warned. "I know what you're thinking, but he's too bi—"
"BB WILL STOP YOU!" He suddenly yelled. "BB WILL NOT GET WHIPPED!"
But after some deep thinking, Yuri did it anyway. He swiftly jumped above him, getting away.
"Huh, we made it."
"I know a thing or two about escaping, we all do," Yuri said, rolling his eyes. He then ran.
"I SWEAR, I'LL FIND YOU BOTH AND KILL THE PURPLE ONE…!" Mamoru can be heard yelling in the background.
'Why the actual Zorc did he call me, "The Purple One"!?' Yuri thought. 'I'm not always purple!'
"So uhh… can you put me down now?"
"No."
"Now?"
"No."
When they got away, Yuri still didn't put her down. People were eyeing them.
"Dude, just put me down!" Serena yelled, elbowing his head. "Ow… will you stop?!"
"I will when you put me down, Lil' Lilly."
"Ra, don't call me that… and If I would, you'd go back."
"Well, what do ya expect!?"
The next few minutes were spent with Serena yelling, shouting, hitting, and occasionally punching him.
But unknown to Yuri, Serena knew a thing (a lot, actually) or two about fighting.
She let her head and arms down, just a bit more…
"Why're you slipping?" Yuri asked. "You don't want to fall head-first now, do you?"
Aaannnd, there! She opened his pants saw the back of his underwear, she then grabbed it, then pulled it.
"Nnnggghh!" As she pulled it, the sheer force of his underwear pressing his groin made him fall face-first to the ground. "Heh, I don't backdown easily!" Serena triumphally declared as she pinned him to the ground and pulled his arms behind his back.
"Let. Me. GO!" Yuri yelled furiously.
"Nevah! You wouldn't let me down," she said. "Time for me to return the favor."
"Dang it, woman! I freaking saved you!" He growled. "And this, this is how you return the favor!?"
"Whatever, I have better things to do than wrestle you, like going back." She let him go and walked off. "Ciao."
Yuri got up and dusted himself. "Oh, and my wallet, by the way. I know you took it."
"Uhh…"
"Give it to me."
Serena looked nervous. "About that…"
Yuri rolled his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. "You spent it all, didn't you?"
"Cat food, more food, yes."
"Cat food…? Whatever, then what, use the extras to buy… that?"
Serena stopped. "What do you mean?"
"Heh, I saw what you did with my money, but I don't care as long as you're not gonna sell yourself as a prostitute. How much was that guy's offer, anyway?" He asked curiously.
"Nothing you can give," she said, "and don't even consider making an offer, you look like a guy who needs their cash."
"Well, since you won't tell me, I'll choose a random amount of money and give it to you," he shrugged. "And it'll all be free. No need to fuck with some guys."
Serena gaped; she didn't believe that he'd actually do this. "Don't, okay? You don't have to. I know a lot of other ways to obtain money. And I don't care if they take my virginity… whether I still have it or not, anyway."
'So you haven't been successful before… or have been,' Yuri thought.
"Whatever, how about I take you to eat somewhere first? It's my lunch break, after all."
"Heh, you pay for food?" Serena laughed. Yuri raised one of his thick eyebrows then sighed, figuring it out. "You dine and dash, don't you?"
Serena smirked. "Yep, tho that's kinda rare and I don't do it often or I'll get 'popular', so I mostly shoplift or pickpocket if I do need to pay."
Yuri couldn't believe what he heard. "You imbecile."
"Oh yeah?! What're you, a goody-two shoes?" Serena mocked. "Let me show you how it's really done. Come on," she invited. "You're quite lucky, ya know. I don't trust anyone that easily. And you may decline if you want."
'Great.' Yuri thought. "Of course I'll…" He wanted to, but at the same time… no matter what happened a few minutes ago, he wanted to get to be with her… plus he had to make sure she won't go back. "Nevermind, you sure we won't get caught?"
"Sure! I rarely ever do anyway." Serena saying that made Yuri think, 'What am I getting myself into…?'
Later, in front of an Expensive-Looking Hotel
Serena and Yuri were walking at the location mentioned in bold above this line. Serena saw a guy exiting a sports car he just parked near the sidewalk in a rush. 'Perfect,' she thought.
She turned, facing Yuri. "Of course, before we go to the main thing–shoplifting–we need to find a good and small store. And to do that," Serena pickpocketed some keys from a man who was rushing and passed by them, "we need a ride." She smiled, showing him the keys.
'What—!? I'd have to keep my guard up when I'm with this girl...' Yuri thought, surprised.
After realizing what she meant and seeing the keys, he gaped at her. "My my, Serena-kun," he started, "you seriously wanna take me out on a joyride? Do you even know how to drive? Moreover, is this even a good idea?"
"Tsk, relax, we'll return the vehicle after. And yes, siree I am taking you on a joyride, though, not really, we just need to drive to a store," "As most here know me in some way…" She added under her breath.
She then continued, "Why, you doubt my driving skills?"
"Absolutely. Other than the fact that I never saw you drive, you also look like one who'd drive yonderly," he answered with no hesitation in his words.
Now it was her turn to look at him with a mouth agape. "ExCUSE me, I drive with my full attention, all on the road and on those around me, though I also drive quite recklessly at times… and my license did get revoked after a certain incident…"
"What?"
"No more questions, let's go before the guy comes back!" She then grabbed his hand and dragged him. "H-Hey!"
Serena then wasted no time opening the passenger seat and shoving Yuri in it before going to the driver's seat.
...Before taking off. "Whooo!"
The car's owner went out of the hotel (possibly to get something) and saw his car drive away. "H-Hey!" He clutched his head and tried to chase them, but they were too fast. "C-*pant*-Come back…!" He panted.
"Y'know, if this happened the other way around–you shoved here and me as the driver–it'd be considered kidnapping. But of course, you're a girl, I'm a guy—whOOOAAAAOO HEY, WATCH THE ROAD, WIll YOU!? I don't plan on dying now, especially with YOU!" He yelled at her while putting a seatbelt on. 'I'm also way too important.' He thought as he fixed himself.
"Pff, relax! We have to get to a store, and fast! And if I have to overtake a few cars to do it, then so be it," she said as she overtook another car and continued to purposely swerve.
Yuri felt his blood go up and as if his soul was being pulled from his body, though he was having a lot of fun as well. He was not one who felt fear as often as others.
After they got out of traffic, Serena first parked the car somewhere secluded before leading him to a small store called "Sawatari Mini Store" and entering it.
"Okay, this is a very bad idea! Why did I even come with you?!" He whispered as he entered after her.
"Act casual. Not the way you are acting now, because people are staring," she said casually.
And indeed, people were staring. So, he acted casually, as if he had not a single bad intention.
Serena led him to the beverages section where she took a can of soda and stuffed it into one of her jacket's pockets.
She then turned to him. "Your turn." She smiled. "We'll get food later. And this is pretty basic, so you should know what to do."
Yuri looked at the gigantic refrigerator and took a bottle of juice, and just as Serena had done, he too stuffed it into one of his pockets.
"Juice? You frickin serious?"
"Yeah, unlike you, I actually care a bit about my health."
Serena shook her head, took the juice, put it back, took another can of soda, and stuffed it in his jacket.
"W-What the?"
"Shut up. Now, put your hands into your pockets as if you've done nothing wrong and walk out of the store casually."
"I DID do something wrong!" He said, feigning guilt.
"Shhhhhhhhh, let's just go."
Some people looked at them. They just walked away.
Serena smiled as they were nearing the door, when…
…Yuzu entered. Serena did a complete U-Turn. "Huh? Where are we going?"
"Change of plans, go around the store first then walk out," Serena spoke.
"Oh, okay. Why, though?"
"Just do it…!" Serena said furiously. "Gee, fine."
But whenever they turned, Yuzu was always somehow there.
Yuri kept on wondering why they kept changing directions, until he saw how Serena avoids Yuzu and how she resembled her so much.
"Ahh, that girl, she resembles you a lot… wait, she your sister?" Yuri asked.
"Augh, fine. Yeah, she is. And I'm trying to avoid her."
"I thought you were a hobo." He chuckled.
"I'm… not, as I do have a home, but I prefer not to go there."
"It's fine, if I could, I'd leave my brothers too."
"You have brothers?" Serena asked, shocked. He too had a family…
"THEM! They're the ones I saw stealing some beverages from the freezer through the CCTV cameras!" A guy suddenly shouted.
"You said we weren't gonna get caught!" Yuri yelled.
"That's if we walked out earlier!"
This caught everyone's attention, including Yuzu's.
"Sis? There you are, Rin's been looking everywhere for you!" Yuzu spoke worriedly.
Serena growled at her, "Tsk, then tell her to stop." There was only one thing she could think of right now, run.
She grabbed Yuri's arm and dragged him out of the store. Yuzu was surprised seeing and hearing that.
"C'mon, let's go!" Serena spoke. "To the car!"
"Right, right," he said as he ran with her.
"H-Huh!? Hey, come back!" the security guard yelled, going after them.
Serena and Yuri went in the car. "Come on, Yuri, come on!" Serena whisper-yelled frantically.
"Yeah, yeah…"
"So long, suck-ass!" Serena laughed, driving away. "Whew, he almost caught us, haha!"
Yuri turned to her. "Not bad… but, HAHA, WHAT DO YOU MEAN, "haha!"!? He almost caught us!" Serena just shrugged his question off.
The guy just grinned at their car. "Heh, turning to vehicles, eh?" The guy smirked as he pulled a device that looked like a remote control and pressed a button on it. A motorcycle then approached the guy as he jumped and landed on its seat.
Yuri looked behind them and saw the guy's grinning face–almost comparable to Joey Wheeler's meme smile–and yelled, "Shit!"
"Whaddya mean, 'Shit'!?"
"That weird CCTV guy, he's right behind us!" Yuri squealed.
"Hm, that's shit alright…"
Yuri gawked at her. "What now?" He said calmly. 'I know you're smart somehow.'
"Don't worry, I know what to do. I'm used to these sorta things." She gave him a sly albeit reassuring smile.
Yuri felt his blood run cold a bit.
"Hold on!" She stepped on the accelerator, making the car purr and go faster.
"Oh no you don't!" The guy also went faster and almost caught up to them.
"...! Crap…!" She muttered under her breath and saw a turn. "Yes!"
She then slowed down a bit, "Uhh aren't we 'sposed to go… I dunno… faster!?"
Serena ignored him then simultaneously moved her left foot to the clutch before pressing it, used her left hand to turn the wheel, and her right to move the joystick, performing a successful drift and somehow made a sharp turn.
The guy, unable to do the turn, crashed to a wall.
"Haaah… cool…" Yuri commented as he saw the guy hit the wall with a loud bang. Serena just gave him a confident smile before saying, "Thanks… I guess."
'She ain't so bad. In fact, she's kinda… fun…' "So, where to now? Oooh, are we gonna go to a hideout of some sort?" Yuri jokes.
Serena rolled her eyes. "Ugh, yeah. Don't tell anyone, okay!? Or I swear to the Nordic Gods I'll kill you!"
"Don't tell anyone what? That I met you? Or wherever you're taking me?"
"Both!"
Yuri just laughed at her. "Y'know, why don't I get you some food? My treat."
"Yes, please. I'm starving." Serena sighed as her stomach grumbled. "Wait, didn't I take your wallet?"
"Sp you did take it…" Yuri sighed. "Anyways, yeah, ya did, but I have some emergency money I keep in my bag. And don't even dare to steal it this time!"
"Don't worry, I won't," she assured and continued to drive.
Dusk, About 4:30 PM
After a while of driving, a few minutes in Mcdonald's drive-thru, and returning the car to the place they stole it (and leaving a note saying thanks for the car and a sorry for stealing it and the few scratches they left and leaving a six-piece chicken nugget meal–Serena took the fries though–as compensation), they were now walking to Serena's latibule.
With the owner…
"Haaaahh!?" He said, clutching his hair as he looked at his car.
"At least I got it back…" he sighed exasperatedly and closed his eyes.
With them again
Now, Yuri knew everything he did before Mcdonald's was wrong, but at the same time, it was kinda… fun?
He felt like he wanted to do it again, though, not alone. He wants to do more… with her.
Maybe even get to know her more, know some more of her tricks, and most importantly, have fun. As in to have fun again like when he was young. He wanted to feel his adrenaline rush, like earlier when they had a short chase with that guy.
"So where do you work at again?" Serena asked as she stuffed a handful of fries into her mouth.
"Leo Corp, why?" Yuri slurped a bit of the soda he stole earlier while Serena coughed at his answer, but drank some of her soda to clear her throat.
"Oh…" She looked down before looking up again. "Anyways, turn here then to the left."
And with that, they turned. Yuri saw the gap. "Huh, I never knew this was here."
He then went through it after Serena did.
"What is this place?" he asked, eating a nugget.
They turned to an empty lot with a little house at the end, only tall enough for someone to sit and sleep in. It seemed like you had to crawl to get in as well.
"My… uhh… home-made… home?" She answered. She had just realized that.
"You made that yourself?" Yuri asked, pointing to the house.
"Yeah… it's nothing much, but at least I have somewhere to stay other than…" Her face darkened.
"With the rest of your family?"
"Yeah…" She answered as she crawled through a small hole–the entrance–confirming Yuri's thoughts.
"Why, though? Your sister said something about looking for you," he mentioned, entering after she did.
"We… had an argument." She sighed. "About what?"
She looked at him. "That's a personal question…"
"Yeah… I don't care." As he said that, he heard a meow.
"Nroooow?" Misty mewed, coming out of the "Den". She then saw Yuri.
"Kssss!" She hissed, fur standing up, realizing that there was a stranger.
"Whose demon-possessed fiend is that?" Yuri said, annoyed at the cat not liking him before hiding his nuggets and fries.
"Mine," Serena said, carrying Misty. "And this, 'demon-possessed fiend's name happens to be Misty. Ain't that right, girl?"
"Prrrbbrrrrtt…" Misty purred and headbutted in response.
"Vermin…"
Serena's eyes widened, "ExCUSE me, she is nowhere near (as in 'family of') a vermin!"
"Hmph. It's a cat. It hunts down mice and rats, so, I consider it more as a dirty piece of—"
"Language, and no one talks to my Misty like that, and at least she's useful." She gave her some three of her four nuggets.
"Hey–! I paid for that…" Yuri stated blatantly with a -_- face.
"Mrow." Misty mewed proudly, probably even smirking at Yuri. She then proceeded to eat her nuggets. The latter went near her face and blew a raspberry. Misty responded with a hiss and scratch on his face.
Serena, oblivious with what Musty had done, saw Yuri and simply said, "Oh. You're bleeding."
"You DARE scratch me?!"
Serena looked again. "Oh, you're bleeding!" At this, she put her food on a side table and looked for her first-aid kit.
With Yuri, "I was the one who bought the nuggets you just ate, you ill-bred feline—!" He barked, about to pounce on her, dropping his half-eaten Big Mac in the process. At this, Serena put the first-aid kit on the side table and pulled Misty away and got ready to run. "Yuri, no!"
But Serena kinda provoked him as she crawled out of her little cave. Yuri followed suit, making Serena run around the lot in hopes of… somehow calming him down. And yeah, they're currently chasing each other in circles.
What was worse was that Yuri tripped on some wood; landing another scar on his face when he fell.
Great. Now Yuri wanted to strangle the thing even more. Knowing that, she continued to run around the place, still carrying Misty while Yuri chased her.
"Mrrreeeaaaooow!" Misty shrieked.
"I'm gonna KILL it!" Yuri yelled, raising a… middle finger (censor it, I say CENSOR it!) at the cat while chasing them.
"Stop, STOP! Yuri, I SAID STOP!"
After Yuri had eventually calmed down, Serena was cleaning the wound and scratch that Misty had caused.
"Ow! Hey…"
"Sigh, if you didn't put your face in front of hers, this wouldn't have happened." She sighed as Misty peacefully slept in loaf form across them as if she did nothing wrong. (And frankly, she didn't. Yuri provoked her). "Anyway, I wanna take ya somewhere, get up."
"Huh?"
Serena exited the "cave".
After Yuri went out, Serena climbed the wall her little house was leaning on and balanced on it then jumped onto the wall that was beside the one she climbed on then went on the other side. "Come on! It's getting dark, I don't want ya to miss this."
"Coming…" Yuri looked at his watch which showed 5 PM. 'It's a bit late, but it's fine.'
He then threw his Big Mac to Misty before doing what Serena did. "Need help?" Serena asked. "Nah, I'm fine."
When Yuri landed on what seemed to be a second floor of an abandoned building, Serena chuckled at him before running away. "Faster!"
She turned right and climbed some stairs to the third floor. "Wait up!" Yuri could be heard yelling as he went after her. 'She's FAST.'
When she saw him at the bottom of the stairs, she laughed once more and ran. "Just find the next stairs once you're up here and climb it!"
And he did just that, not with a few turns. Each of the building's floors were square-shaped.
As he got to the fourth floor–which was unfinished–he saw Serena on another building beside the one he was standing on. It looked big and somehow had a young, medium-sized tree on it which was planted at the center and was surrounded by some low-leveled concrete tall enough to be considered something to sit on.
"Use that plank at your right, or balance yourself on that." She pointed to a tall wall that connected this building to the one Serena's standing on, except it wasn't that thick.
"Last obstacle, promise. Thing is, do you have enough wits to do it…?" She smirked.
Yuri groaned before walking and balancing himself on the plank. As he was in the middle of it, he–"Don't look down!" Serena warned a bit too late–looked down. He wasn't afraid as these sort of things keep him thrilled and he kinda can't exactly feel fear, but he pretended to be. "Uuuhhhh…"
"I said don't look down…" Serena grumbled before putting a foot on her end of the plank and reached her left hand out to him. "Come on, dude, grab my hand."
"Don't… need it…" He mumbled.
Serena shrugged. "Ok, then. But make it quick!" After that, he leapt to her side, surprising Serena. She just shrugged it off. "Ehm."
When he got there, he was met with a cold but soft and sweet-smelling wind. He inhaled it and it gave him a short peace of mind. "Like it?"
"Yeah…" he muttered as he exhaled. "...it's quite peaceful here…"
"Well," She sat on the concrete in which the tree was surrounded by, "This is my main latibule. This place, as you said, is peaceful and also gives me a sense of senerity. It together with an eyesome view of the city is what makes this place special, especially when the sun sets," She pointed to the sun near the horizon. "That's why I took you here at this time."
"True," he agreed as he went to the edge of the building and sat there, observing the amazing scenery in front of him. The setting sun did make the scene more beautiful with how its color mixes with the clouds, giving them an orange and pinkish hue, mixed with some of the city's bright, colorful lights; it was simply amazing. It almost made him want to paint the scene.
Other than its scene, how this place makes one feel is another thing. Together with the wind flowing through him–making him feel calm like a bird blissfully soaring the skies–the place made him feel like he was flying over the city, as if he was free from this world.
Of course, he had to break the silence between them at some point. Everything in this place is beautiful and all, but he wanted to be with and know Serena, too. Maybe even see if they're… "compatible". "So anyway, about your argument with your sisters, what was it about?"
"You don't need to know that." He heard her sigh.
"But I want to!" Yuri begged, turning towards her. Serena stood up and sat beside him before pressing the scratch. "Hey, that hurts!"
"I said you don't need to know," Serena uttered as she stopped.
"Oh yeah, and, why'd you wanna work–bang–with those thugs earlier, anyway?" Yuri asked curiously, rubbing the sides of the scratch. "As I said, there are other ways to get a job."
Serena chuckled. "Well, I had a driver's license…"
"That got revoked." Yuri cut in.
"Yes," she groaned. "Anyway, one of my sisters taught me how to drive, plus, I really went to a driving school. Among other things, I don't have my own car."
"Oh."
She then looked down and slowly waved her legs. "I… also dropped out of college," she paused," I knew I had a good future together with my sisters… we know we each had a purpose, but… tch, it's hard to explain. Anyway, I also ain't like them."
"What makes you any different from them? Well, other than the obvious things you do, like getting into fights and such."
"I… Well, our dad died to be exact, and, to be honest, I feel like it's my fault." She then explained her story, though not mentioning any specific names.
He doesn't really know how to comfort her or what to do at the moment, so Yuri just sat there quietly and listened to everything she said.
He thought his life's bad enough, but to think this girl would go as far as becoming… eh, that earlier, and wasting it all on things that wouldn't make her situation any easier, if not, it may make it harder.
They spent the rest of their time talking to each other, relishing in each other's presence.
"Your mother was a gangster!? That's so cool, can I meet her?" Serena asked enthusiastically.
Yuri thought about it, introducing Serena to his mother, boy would it be fun… too bad she's gone. "You… can't. I'm sorry."
"Is it because of my habits? You afraid that she'll teach me something I shouldn't know?"
"No." He laughed. "Well, yeah, that, and…"
"She's dead," he stated blatantly.
"Oh… sorry for your loss," she said, patting his shoulder. Yuri didn't really understand why she did that, though, he knows it's usually for comfort, meaning she was trying to comfort him (not that he felt sad or anything right now).
He brushed it off and just continued talking, "Thanks… she was the best, you know. She looks so kind and forgiving, fuck, she even adopts random strays from the street, but as always, she had something my dad, bros, and I would call, "Dark Side", though that side only shows when she's angry."
Serena laughed, she wished to meet her, ask her about every ridiculous thing that Yuri did so that she can use all she'd say against the purple cabbage.
Wait, what? Nah, she shouldn't think that way. If she'd meet her, she wants to learn tricks, that's all. Yep. Totally not because of Yuri.
They continued talking, not noticing how much time had passed as they were in each other's company. The more they talked, the more they realized how their lives were somewhat the same, save the fact that this girl does some pretty bad things with her life.
They spent so much time talking, night finally took over.
"Wow… the city's even more beautiful during the night…"
"Yeah…" Serena agreed.
"Wait, it's NIGHT?!"
Serena tilted her head. "Yeah, haven't you noticed?"
"I f*cking missed half a day of work!" Yuri said, picking his case up and the scarf that he took off himself earlier–yes, he brought em with him–he then looked at his watch (as a reward for their service, Reiji had given the brothers, excluding Yuya, smart watches), it showed 7:17pm.
"Ohh…"
As he was about to leave, he looked at her.
"What?"
"Nothing… I feel like I don't wanna leave yet." Why was he feeling this way? He never felt like this with anyone else.
"Pffffffffffft, it's not like I'll disappear or anything." She laughed. "You can come here anytime and I'll be willing to give ya more joyrides if you want. C'mon, I'll help ya down."
"I know, but… tch, whatever. And, honestly, I'd be fine with more joyrides. Also, thanks in advance." He followed her as she helped him cross the plank then led him through each of the building's floors. The moon helped the both of them navigate their way down.
He could still see and appreciate the city's scenic and awesome nighttime landscape.
"Yo," Serena called to get his attention.
"What?"
Serena sighed and walked to him and pulled something out of her pocket. "Your wallet."
"Thanks…" He said before taking it from her.
"I did spend it on a can of cat food and some," she smacked her lips, "delicious aburi, though that's pretty much it."
"Of course you did… Though, I'm surprised you didn't buy any drugs or such with it."
"Tch, I don't often use those… nor am I much of an addict. I usually take those when I'm frustrated, feeling down, or was caught in a heated argument. I spend more time doing other things."
"That's good to hear."
They finally got back to Serena's "house". "My bros are gonna kill me… Anyway, bye! And you can have my food!"
"Yeah, hasta luego." Yuri ran off after she said that.
It was quiet again.
"Meow?"
"Yeah, quite… unusual, right? I used to love being alone…" She picked Misty up.
"Mrow."
"Welp, let's continue eating. Then, maybe we can get some sleep," Serena said to the cat as she patted and let her down.
"Meow!" Misty meowed in agreement. "Prrrbbrrrrrt…"
As Yuri ran home, the door opened. "Yuri!" It was Yuya.
"Yuya…" Yuri panted.
"Where were you!? We were getting worried!" Yuya exclaimed. "And you look like you ran a mile. C'mon, let's go inside."
When they were inside, Yuri first changed, and they were now having a discussion in the living room.
Yuto gave him some tempura, which he ate happily (and out of… respect, as he was still full from the Mcdonald's he had earlier. Well, at least it's delicious). "Okay, where'd you go?" Yuto asked sternly. "And why do you have a scratch on your cheek?"
"I was walking through this corridor as I ran from you, but then I stumbled upon a pack of cats, startling them. Next thing I knew, they were jumping on me and scratching me."
Yuto sighed, "I'm sure that didn't happen. And pack? I thought it's clowder..."
"Mhm yeah I know that…" He said wearily, still eating the tempura.
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you then supposed to get an anti-rabies vaccine? And if you were attacked by a clowder of 'em, then you're supposed to have more scratches or bites on your body." Yugo mentioned.
Yuri just glared at him, signaling that he should shut up, then looked away. "Yeah… you see, I outran them, so I don't need a vaccine."
"You better not need it," Yuto warned. "Still, be honest."
'And here I thought Yugo and Yuri were the ones who always fought…' Yuya thought.
Yuri put the plate down. "Fine, I got lost, but I was scratched. And 'cause I was lost, it took a while to find my way home."
"It looks like someone treated it," Yuto mentioned, eyeing the band-aid. "And we all know this city like the palm of our hands, so how'd you even get lo—"
"Who else do you think'd be able to touch me? Moreover, touch a wound on me? I did that." Yuri cut him off.
Yuto sighed, it'd take one forever to get the truth out of Yuri. And he lies constantly to the point that it's hard to tell if he's lying; he also makes such good points. Better to do something else than talk to force the guy to do/say anything. "Whatever, let's just take our baths and go to sleep."
They all nodded with Yuri even smiling, happy that he got away with something once again.
