"AAugh, this is so frustrating…!" Gon groaned, looking through the school-produced tabloids. They highlighted news articles of students and the events they've been done over the winter break that helped expand their future careers.
After the Winter Showcase ended, Gon went backstage with Killua only to be met with Satotz face to face. Gon gasped out and may have fanboy'd a little while Killua watched, amused, keeping in mind to tease Gon about it later. Gon explained to Satotz that he did his first school report on him and Satotz explained how much he enjoyed Gon's performance, as he was the guest judge for this Showcase. Satotz offered his congratulations, happy Gon had won.
"I'd like to help you in your journey as a prospective World Star." Satotz said, his lips moving his mustache amusingly. Gon and Killua was both surprised and blinked with shock before Gon grinned happily.
"Really?!" Gon exclaimed.
"Really. I see alot of promise in someone like you. So I want to invest to make sure so much talent can actually breakthrough to the music industry." He said. Gon turned to Killua happily, and Killua returned the look just as easily with a wide grin.
"Wow, that'd be amazing!" Gon answered, turning back to the tall man, feeling Killua's presence encouragingly by his side.
"Right, let's exchange contact information and I'll send you opportunities to find a music agency or performances to get your name out there." He said as he took out his phone.
"O-oh! Wow, yeah, that would be great- I- thank you so much, Satotz!" He said, scrambling to get his phone from Killua who was holding it for him. Gon did a deep bow in thanks before he handed Satotz the phone.
They exchanged numbers and Satotz was in communication with Gon through the Christmas break, working to get interviews and tours in order for the spring semester. Now the first day of spring semester has started, Satotz just needed to know Gon's schedule of classes so he could tell those teachers which days he'll be out improving his status of World Star. But things have been pretty slow moving so far.
Killua looked over apologetically.
"Everyone's doing such great and amazing things, and I can't do anything because I'm stuck! I'm stuck because I can't get into a record company! I don't get it, what am I doing wrong?" Gon groaned as he slumped against his locker. Killua rubbed his arm encouragingly.
"It's ok, Gon, you'll get into a record company soon enough. More than half of the students here don't have record companies yet! There are many record companies that won't pick up any students until they graduate, because that's when the companies know the students are perfected with the whole package." Killua told him.
"Well, can't one take a chance on some raw talent and sign me on the label?" Gon pouted up at Killua. Killua chuckled and shook his head.
"I thought Satotz was supposed to be helping you?" Killua asked.
"He's been trying. He's sent me the list of companies to check out and try to join and he would send good recommendations. I'm sure he's sending them, but no one's picking me up." Gon said, looking off to one side. Killua shook his head.
"Mh… I'm sorry you can't get into a company right now, babe. What's on the resume you've been giving the companies?"
"Huh…?" Gon asked, squinting up at Killua. Killua laughed at the look and pushed his face out of view.
"You haven't been giving your resumes? What have you been doing everytime you go to a company?" Killua asked, incredulous.
"Wah, I didn't know, I thought you get recommended to a company and you go in and they ask you to sing for them." Gon said. "Like on TV when the producer is freaking out because they don't have the right singer for this one song and then a famous person comes around with unknown talent they recommend, and the producer is like, quick sing this! And they do and the producer loves it and he's like 'we got our man!' and then you're hired!" Gon explained animatedly.
"This isn't TV, stupid!" Killua bit out as he poked at Gon's head, punctuation with his words, and Gon let out whines, his eyes squeezed shut. Gon rubbed his head and Killua crossed his arms.
"Get serious. You could probably still go back and ask the companies to accept your resume." Killua said.
"But I don't have a resume." Gon said.
"Then make one. There's a resource in school that helps students make their singer's resume. You go to them and they explain to you how to put all your experience appealingly on a piece of paper in a way so when you go visit the companies, they point at you and say 'we got our man!'" Killua said, mimicking the way Gon had said it before. Gon pouted but couldn't keep it on his face long enough before it split into a smile.
"Hehe, ok, Killua! Thanks, you're the best." Gon smiled and pulled Killua to him by the hips and kissed his cheek. Killua turned red, looking left and right while pushing away from Gon.
"Stop that, dummy! What if people see?" Killua hissed.
"So what if they do?" Gon asked, unable to hide his amused tone. Killua was so cute when he got embarrassed.
"They'll- you- we- oh, whatever. Just don't do that with people around." He said with finality. He started walking away, and Gon followed him happily. Killua would just die if someone took a picture of them together like that, and it somehow got out and his parents saw it. He doesn't even know what they'll do if they not only learn he's dating someone they didn't approve, but a guy too. He barely knows how Illumi approved of his and Gon's relationship, just passing by the skin of their teeth since Gon beat Illumi in a singing competition of all things, at least showing competency. Killua doesn't want to imagine what his parents would do if they figured out about Gon.
Speaking of his brother, Killua spotted the usual fangirl-crowds around Illumi. Killua was about to just keep walking when he noticed something unusual. Killua stopped walking and Gon nearly ran into him. Gon turned to look at what Killua was looking at too.
A girl in a light gray sweater, a long skirt, high socks and mary janes, her hair pulled back in a long black pony tail, walked to the edge of the group, her confidence and elegance obvious from afar. She simply stopped right on the edge and Illumi looked over to her. One by one the girls looked back at who he was looking at until they cleared the way for her. She walked up to him as the fans whispered curiously about her.
"Hello." She said. A slight eye waver from Illumi was the only movement of note.
"Hello." He said back.
"I'm new around here. Show me around?" She said, her chin lifting a little higher.
"Of course. I am Illumi." He said, holding one arm out for her.
"I know. I'm Amane." She said, taking it. Another slight narrowing of the eyes but Illumi banished it before it could be noticed.
"I know." He said instead and carried her off, a barely noticeable tiredness hanging over him.
"What the… what just happened?" Killua whispered to himself. Who was that girl? And why did Illumi go off with her specifically and not anyone else. Gon raised an eyebrow at that too, but generally pleasantly surprised.
"Looks like Illumi is making new friends!" He answered brightly.

Leorio ducked out his car and reared his head up to look and take in the tall and impressive building. This is where his new chapter would be starting… he was excited! He'll be able to help and care for all the singing students here at the school. He could at least do this much and support the students from behind… make sure they're at their best to reach their dream.
"Ok…! Let's get started!" Leorio grinned widely before running inside to get checked in. This was going to be a great semester.
Kurapika gently moved Melody out the way of the running tall man as he moved through the hallway.
"Oh, that was appreciated, Kurapika." Melody hummed with a smile up at her friend. But she saw he wasn't looking at her, but after the man who turned the corner.
"It seems they'll let in just about anyone. I thought this was a proper school proud of its reputation." Kurapika chastised and complained to himself.
"Kurapika, calm down, you don't know anything about that person. It was one bad impression and they were not doing it on purpose." Melody said to soothe him.
"Maybe that is the problem, if they thought through their actions a little more, they wouldn't inconvenience others at all." He said turning back to her.
"Hm, you seemed very lenient of these qualities on a certain brown eyed boy when he was like this." She said, looking off with ease and innocence.
Kurapika pressed his lips together, obviously feeling a bit embarrassed.
"I might be a bit biased to Gon, but that's because I know him-"
"That's my point. Give this one a chance too, hmm?" Melody asked with a raised eyebrow. "Don't make such snap judgements of those you don't know yet."
Kurpaika sighed, defeated.
"You're right, as usual…" He sighed and walked off with her to his class.

Wow, I really shouldn't have waited so long to go back to posting, I'm forgetting how to do everything, lol. Thanks for reading, I realize these are shorter, but that's mostly because these are set up! So... whatever? LMAO.
