A/N: So, coincidentally, I finished writing, rereading, and reviewing this shit just yesterday. And yesterday was the date I updated last month, and I'm sorry about that. I've been pretty tired and sleepy lately so I spent time on... sleeping and resting. It's also almost the end of my school year. (Yay!)

This is also a milestone for me as this is my 10th chapter, and I didn't believe I'll last this long (Yay again). But again, I started this story, so I'm finishing it.

Before we start, there's a lot of dark stuff here. There's also a (short) pretty disturbing part, which I'll provide a warning for. Btw, I edited the last parts of Ch 5. Go there and read the AN to read it.

Ight, let's start!

"He's not human; he's an empty space

disguised as a human."

-John Fowles

Ext.-Dennis's Apartment-Earlier

As they were about to enter through the backdoor, Yuri looked at the walls that cover the backyard. How'd Serena even get over this…? It's made to be at least 10 feet (about 3 meters) tall and was made out of concrete that's at least 5 inches thick.

Serena unlocked the lock before opening the rugged gate door. "Uhh… cabbage? C'mon." She gestured for him to enter.

"Why… cabbage…?" Yuri growled a bit.

"Hmm… your hair, in my opinion, looks like one." She replied happily with a hundred percent honesty.

"Mrow," Misty meowed in agreement as she too looked at Yuri.

"Oh, you too?" Yuri grumbled, rolling his eyes. "Like master, like cat, I guess…"

Int.-Bedroom

Yuri was tucking Serena to bed.

"I can do everything on my own, thank you very much." Serena told him, snatching the blanket

He just snickered. "Yeah, I know. You just look quite cute~" 'Wait, what'd I just say?'

"Okay, what's with that? Since the bar, you acted a bit differently. A bit more… flirtatious… teasing..." Serena mentioned.

Yuri shook his head. "No, I'm not."

"Yes, you are–were."

"Well, he was kind of a flirt." They heard Dennis yell from downstairs before chuckling. "Sometimes 'till now."

Yuri stepped outside and leaned at the rails. "And I quote, "Away, you mouldy rogue, away!" End quote." He then walked back inside.

"Ain't you supposed to go back?"

"Yeah… Yeah, I should." He smiled. "Well, see ya later."

"Hm." Serena mumbled as she started to doze off. Misty jumped on the bed and slept beside her.

"And I mean literally. I'm coming back when I can. Whatever."

As he was about to leave, he went to Dennis. "Hey, dude. Make sure you guard her better this time." Yuri reminded.

"Will do." He said, nodding.

"Oh, and I like Misty more now." Yuri said as he exited.

Dennis just blew a raspberry before grinning at his dear old best friend.

After leading Serena back to Dennis's Apartment, he went back to the bar to chat with Yuya and Yuzu.

He came back here after a few hours to check up on Serena and continue to treat her injuries and give her some food Yuya gave him.

But, once again, she escaped.

…and, again, he followed Misty.

She then led him to a dark alley. It was literally dark there, with minimal light source. Some—a lot, actually—homeless people stayed here. Some were lying on the street. Probably dying, or worse, are dead. A young-looking couple was making out and pinning each other to the wall.

"What're you looking at!?" The male of two sneered at him, then went back to what he was doing.

At some part was a guy beating another someone up for money and/or drugs. Huh, it was actually a girl.

He continued to walk, but for some reason, Misty just sat there. "Mreow." And looked at the man beating someone.

"Sigh… what?" When he looked, he saw that the guy was beaten, with the girl robbing him from her success.

"I'm the ki-queen of the world!" She suddenly yelled, making Yuri cringe.

Yuri ignored her and looked away… But looked back. "S-Serena!?"

"What do you want, nitpick!?" She then started to walk away. Yuri grabbed her arm. "Come on. I have no idea what you did, but come on, let's go."

"Nah… have to get…"

"Yeah, I don't really care where you wanted to go… and we're going to go back to Den-den's apartment."

"You're as annoying as a fucking Gameciel," she said bluntly. "Worse, Nibiru." Yuri just rolled his eyes.

With the arm he grabbed, it looks like she was holding something.

…A bag? Oh, great.

"Thanks, Misty." He whispered to the cat. "Mreow."

"I also have to talk to Den-den later…"

Serena woke up.

She felt the need to vomit, even more when she felt a hard banging in her head. "Hey…" She heard.

She was breathing hard, that banging in her head didn't make her feel any better. "Wake up."

"Wake up, dirtbag. I have some food."

And that she did. "Augh…" she groaned. "What happened?" She looked at herself. Any bruises she received earlier were treated, iced, and bandaged. "I feel like shit…"

Yuri was glaring at her before he sighed and nodded. "You look like it, too."

"Oh, and this." Serena knew exactly what he meant. "You…" he took the bag. "were probably high on this." He continued. "Resulting in you, "not feeling any pain" and had the feeling of the ability to do anything. I saw you beating a guy up earlier."

"Oh! I also have something…" He took his bag and took something that was in a ziplock. In it was something–definitely a sandwich–wrapped in tissue paper.

"A sandwich?"

"Not just a sandwich. Remember Ruri and Yuto's date? I heard from them that you liked Tuna Sandwiches—"

"GIMME IT!" Serena suddenly yelled, catching Dennis's attention downstairs as she lunged at Yuri.

"MROW!" Misty meowed as well. She smelled the scent of tuna and woke up, if you're wondering.

Yuri hid the sandwich back in his bag. "Wait, both of you! Let me finish," he said, calming himself and Serena down. "It's not just tuna, it's tuna melt grilled cheese sandwich, cut in half, forming triangles." Serena's mouth watered hearing that. "Yuya said Yuto made it for him, but I mentioned you like tuna as did Yuzu, so he just told me to give it to you."

Serena nodded impatiently. "Okay. Can I have it now? I'm starving."

"Now, you can." Yuri said, handing her the sandwich. "And don't give any to Misty, please. I myself know how hard it is to make that…"

But as he turned to her, he saw Serena give half of the other half of the sandwich to Misty. Said cat happily meowed at her in thanks before eating.

"...Nevermind."

Suddenly remembering what happened the other days, she said, "Now, about what Strong said the other day—"

"That can wait; take a rest. Plus, ignorance is a bliss." He smiled.

She just shook her head. "No. I, I have to know more about you. That, or I'm never seeing you again."

Hearing that, Yuri turned to her. "Uhm, what?"

"I know some things are meant to be left in the past," she started. "but I ain't getting 'hurt' again."

She just decided to tell him. "…I once dated a criminal. He ended up abandoning me in the end. I thought he could be a true friend, only to know everything he did was to keep me to his side…" she wrapped the sandwich in the tissue paper before placing it on her lap. Misty already finished her part of the sandwich and went to sleep beside Serena.

"…To use me." She continued. "He was almost killed, but even so, said lots of bad things about me, made fun of me… at some point, one of my brothers arrived and saved me from being killed or arrested by the police. My bro took me home even though I didn't want to. As much as I tried to prevent it, I cried that day." Right now, though she's not bawling herself out, tears are streaming on her face as she just shoved the whole sandwich in her mouth.

"Ri-Rin helped me that day. She herself experienced such things… some guy has cheated on her before, and knowing how it hurts," she mumbled, still chewing the sandwich, "I promise to beat them. Beat anyone who tries to harm any of my sisters. If I can't do that, I'll make them pay back one way or another." She finally swallowed it. "Do you have water?"

Yuri looked at her with pity before yelling at Dennis to give them some hot chocolate. "Well, my bros and I never had girlfriends before," he laughed. "but please give Yuya and Yuto a chance. Yuto, because… he deserves…" he looked down. "…a better life than to take care of us three. Together with the other two, we feel like a burden to him."

"Thought you guys work to provide for each other?"

"Well, yes… which is why we feel as if we're a burden on each other. Yuto's supposed to be his own life, doing what he wants, to be an actual crime-fighter–well, he is now, but we don't think he enjoys it. He's had a thing for knights in the past." He said, remembering how'd they play games in their childhood.

"Yugo's a hacker, a mechanic, an inventor, and computer geek. Always pretty goofy and is an airhead. He's also good with driving motorcycles. Yuya is a magician, freelancing actor/voice actor, plays a guitar – mostly bass – an entertainer, and, as you saw, somewhat of a singer."

Serena laughed, at least his life seemed to be fine. "What about you?"

He looked away. "Uh, I think I'm the weirdest of 'em. I love science, poetry, math, and grammar. Love to make random potions – including poisons and other lethal substances – and that's what sprouted my love for something else – plants and some flowers."

"You're weird indeed. What guy loves gardening?" she insulted nonchalantly.

He glared at her. "Insulting. So what if I do? I love flora, yes, but mostly the poisonous kinds. Take the, uh, Nerium Oleander, for example. Some people say it smells good, but could and can kill you if ingested. And this also happens to be a pretty light example."

Serena looked at him with great disgust. 'Okay, maybe he's very weird.'

Dennis finally got there and gave the hot chocolate to Yuri but left in a rush because of some customers.

"Anyway," she started, "answer me. What was it with Strong the other day?"

"Something about me being dangerous?" Yuri cut her off. "There is, in fact, a truth to that. Even Dennis knows."

"What do you mean?"

Yuri looked at her. "I'd rather not tell you… why're you asking, anyway?"

She tilted her head. "Just tell me." Misty then went to her. She reached her hand out to pat her.

"No…" He pushed her hand down. "You…" He let her hand go. "Might become afraid of me."

"Tch, me? Please, of course not!"

"I'm serious here." He looked at her sternly. "I don't really get myself, okay? One time I'm a normal happy kid with a few dark thoughts, or-or as you said, a flirtatious guy who absolutely loves teasing people, next I'm actually doing those aforementioned dark thoughts…"

"Can't you control what to feel…?"

"Thing is… I can. And in all honesty, I enjoy inflicting pain onto other people… and fine, I'm a bit of a sadist."

Serena winced at the last phrase.

Yuri sighed. "Fine. I'll tell you…"

She nodded as Yuri started. "I was a bit like you. Except worse. One time, I took," he gagged, "some things that made me go "high" which happened to be a pretty childish and dumb thing to do. I realized it messes with my brain, making me unable to control myself and could make me do things I'll regret later on. I also find myself unable to get addicted to such things. Besides, it has the possibility of giving me a myriad of physical and mental health issues; I don't know how individuals such as yourself get addicted to such things as I'm fine not using it at the moment."

As she listened to that, she also had just realized it (the health issues part).

"Anyway, after a while, I met the gang."

"…gang." Serena repeated.

"Yes, and as you may have guessed, Strong was part of it. He was our leader, and there were five of us: Me, Strong, some two guys I can't remember, and surprisingly for you, Dennis."

"Alright, continue. Oh, we also need to talk about how you somehow found me in that part of the city, by the way."

"Yeah, later."

"To start, how long have you known Dennis? I mean, it's pretty clear that you guys have been friends for quite some time."

Yuri smiled. This one was a bit hard. He told her it had to do with something about him annoyingly following Yuri around so he befriended him. "Anyway, I'm gonna start off by telling ya some dark stuff. I'll save the light parts for last."

"Okay." Serena shrugged.

"Now, don't get terrified. I have a bit of a dark past. And i don't think it's as tragic as others', as other than losing my mom and hating therapy, nothing considerably tragic really happened to me. If anything," He paused a bit, "it was I who caused it to other people."

"Hmm…" Was she really up for what she's about to hear? Could she handle Yuri's past? It already sounds like it wasn't an easy one. And what if she'll find/know something that made her not want to be with him, or a sign that he was really dangerous; probably more than Robin?

Except, she had already made up her mind. "I'll handle it. I promise I won't get terrified; I don't think anyone else'd have a past darker than mine."

"Selfish of you to think of such," he mocked. "But Alrighty, then."

(Yuri POV - Flashback)

I'll start six years ago, when we were in an abandoned subway. I was chasing someone.

I pounced at the guy who was probably running for his life before pinning him to the ground, after which I yelled, "Got him!"

"Good job, Yuri." Strong praised as he emerged from the shadows with a sinister smirk. "P-Please let me go!" the guy begged.

"Oh no, no." This time, it was Dennis. Dressed formally as if he was an innocent man ready to dance with a fair maiden at a ball. I honestly don't know why he ever dressed like that in the past, but let's go back.

"No one, and I mean no one, steals our substances and gets away with it. Especially if said person didn't pay."

"Hey, you! Get the rope!" Strong said, gesturing to one of his lackeys to get a rope. "Here you go, boss!"

"Yuri, pin him to that pole." So I did. Strong then gave me the rope then I immediately just tied the guy there. "Ight, give it back."

"It's in my right pocket!" their victim said nervously. "Yuri." Yuri nodded and took it from the guy's pocket and tossed it to Strong. "Here."

Strong smiled. "Thanks."

"C-Can you guys let me go now!?" the guy begged. "Yuri, why don't you choose?" Strong suggested.

"You're too kind." I said with a playful smirk. "Still, who am I to refuse?" He looked at the guy. My pupils had formed into slits–

(Present - Narrator POV)

– "Your pupils turned into slits!?"

Hearing that, Misty woke up and showed her eye-slits.

"Show-off… and yes, it happens, and please don't interrupt me." He said boredly.

"Oh, sorry."

"Sigh… anyway…"

Misty went back to sleep.

(Yuri POV - Flashback)

"Why don't we play a little game of tag? It's my favorite game, after all."

"What…?" The guy asked. I sighed and gave him a bored look. "Some guys are just sooo slow… Sigh… Dennis! Why don't you explain what I mean?"

Dennis happily nodded. "Yuri here will let you go. Then, you can try, and I repeat, try, to run away from him, but if he catches you, he'll kill you!" He said, his voice stating that what he said was true. "If you got away, you're free."

"Uhm, what's with these guys talking like this?" the guy asked, making Dennis I glare at him.

"No idea." Strong shrugged.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." He untied the guy. "You have 1 minute to run without me chasing you, good luck!" With him now free, the guy ran as fast as he could.

Shaking his head, Dennis said, "Again with this?"

"Why not? We should give some a chance." I smiled sweetly. "45 seconds!"

"Whatever, me and the boys are gonna go chuggin' in the club. See ya." Strong said, walking away with the other two lackeys. Yuri and Dennis nodded.

A few more seconds past. Finally, the game began. "May our little game of tag begin~!" I cackled. "See you, Dennis-kun!" I said before running.

"Yeah, you too, Yuri-chan!"

Ext. Unfinished Building - Around 6 PM - With Yuri

I, as usual, caught the guy.

(Present - Narrator POV)

"Is that flattering or do you really—"

"I always catch the people I'm chasing," he said in a menacing tone, making Serena's mouth metaphorically snap shut. "Anywho…"

(Yuri POV - Flashback)

At this point, I was torturing the guy. They were near a construction site.

I took my belt off (no, he ain't doing that) to use as a whip. The guy's hands and feet were tied on two poles.

"Oh, come on!" The guy whined. He was already bleeding from the whips. "What more do you want from me!?"

"Oh, nothing~!" I said sweetly. "Watching you writhe and squirm from the pain I caused just makes me all giddy and prolly releases a whole lot of dopamine!"

The guy felt his blood run cold. This guy was torturing him… for fun!?

"Still not enough to make me satisfied, though…" Yuri sighed then cut the rope. "Let's move to a different location."

Yuri first tied the guy's hands and dragged him until they were infront of a large body of dirty water. The guy kept screaming and asking for help while this was going on.

"Oh, shut it. No one can hear you from here, and even if they'd do so, they won't be interested in helping a guy like you~"

They finally got to the fountain. "Perfect!" Yuri grabbed the guy's hair and happily dunked his head in the water.

"Pl-Plea—whrgghhlrbrrlrrrggghh…"

"Sorry, what was that?" He pulled the guy's head out. The guy vomited some water out.

"I swear…" The guy started, panting. "One day, you'll also experience pain, might not be in the way I did, but it will hurt more. More than what I feel right now—" The guy was cut off as I dunked his head in the water.

"Shut up. It's enough pain listening to the voice in my head telling me to do this shit. I myself want to, and that's why I do it." I raised the guy's head and made him face me. "Keep that noise-making hole on your face shut when you don't know how I feel."

He did it again.

And again.

This process continued until the guy was dead.

"Whoops." He simply said. "Oh well. Now, what should I do to this corpse, hm…?" He glanced at the surrounding area.

"Ah, I know!" I yelled to myself. "I shall perform a fake autopsy!" I said giddily. I then suspiciously got a scalpel—out of nowhere—and proceeded to dissect the guy.

Yes, I tortured people, killed them, even. After a while, though, it got boring, so I thought of the autopsy.

*WARNING: This part contains a short paragraph of disturbing depictions of our body's internal organs. If you want to skip this part, please look for the next bolded sentence.*

I proceeded to pull his small intestine out. "Now let's see how long this really is. Some say it's 10-16, while others say it's around 22 feet in length." I hung it on some tree branches, and I could say it was around 20-or-so feet long.

I then pulled the heart out. "This'll be fun." I started to dissect that, too. He took a stick and studied the arteries by poking it before closing the thing and squishing it. "Hm." shrugged, throwing it a few meters away from me.

Proceeding, I took the stomach and let its acid drip onto the ground. I took a glass bottle I found earlier and let the rest drip into it. I then opened the guy's ribcage and explored it with the same stick earlier.

Getting a little bored, I decided to just get every major bone of the guy's body and placed them against each other, the way you would with sticks when making a campfire, before actually lighting a small fire in the middle 'till it died out.

*We're good now; you can open your eyes… Watch out for implied rape.*

After an hour or two, I decided to stop as nothing amused me anymore. I had blood on almost every part of my body and clothing. My hands, knees, trunk, and even my face were stained with the stuff.

I buried the corpse—which had a Y-shaped cut that could be opened from the shoulder blade to above the abdomen and some openings on other parts—together with the body parts I had collected earlier in the construction site. My scalpel and other tools were with me; I wasn't dumb to leave any evidence it was ever him.

If society ever cared, anyway. The guy was a lower-class person, the city was never one to care for such a low-key person, and unless you're an upper-class businessman/person, they won't even try to find the killer. I also didn't mind washing any blood off myself.

Walking, I thought of what I had just done. I enjoyed it very much. But why…?

I walked 'till I heard a familiar voice.

"Ack! Let me go!" The voice said.

"We ain't doing that." A voice belonging to Strong stated. Meh, just beating another guy up. "You let the girl go."

"That's because she doesn't deserve to be raped by anyone… especially you!" Okay, the voice sounded way too familiar. I know I should've checked, but still, I didn't bother to and just listened.

Strong laughed. "Guess… We'll just have to do it to you."

"N-No! Please!" Though this time my instincts told me to go there, and as if I was pushed by some external force, I did.

And guess what? I found Yuya.

Wait, Yuya. Yuya!

"Yuya!?"

Yuya looked to his side. His eyes widened. "B-Big bro!"

"What are you doing here…?" I raised a brow.

"You know him, Yuri? Well this'll just make things more fun," Strong said, smirking. "Huh. This guy looks like ya… whatever. Come on!"

"Put him down." I growled as my face darkened with anger.. "Put him down, Strong! That's my brother, put. Him. Down." I barked, glaring at him.

"Ni-Onii-san?" Yuya managed to choke.

Strong looked at me, then Yuya, then me again. "Hah!" He laughed, "That's why yall look alike! Oh well, I don't really care, plus–"

But before he could finish his sentence, I jumped on him and didn't hesitate to bite his arm, ripping a part of his skin off–

(Narrator POV)

"You, what?" Serena asked. Could he… did he really…?

Yuri looked away. "Yeah." But even so, he didn't flinch. He never felt bad nor regretted that one thing he did. Strong had his most precious lil' brother, and Yuri is actually pretty overprotective with him, even more so after that happened.

Serena examined him again. In her opinion, if she didn't know this part of him, he looked pretty innocent, like he couldn't even hurt a fly. She's also seen his sweet, sweet smile before (which just made him look adorable) Then, she imagined Yuri–the one in front of her right now–biting a person's arm, to the point he ripped some of the skin off.

It seemed… impossible. He looked way too… innocent

"Can I continue now?" Yuri pitched.

"Oh, yeah."

(Yuri POV - Flashback)

I then jumped back to my original position before spitting the skin off. I didn't have a single ounce of guilt as I did. He deserved it. He deserved to be torn.

But dang, as I gazed at it, I could really see the dermis, the second layer of the human skin, together with some hypodermis.

"Ghh…! Why you…!" Strong snarled before violently slamming Yuya on the ground.

My eyes widened. I rushed to the latter right away, doing my best to catch or, at the very least, prevent his head from hitting the ground.

And I did both. I gave a heavy sigh.

"Thanks, nii–look out!"

I looked back and Strong was about to body-slam us, but I hugged Yuya and swiftly moved to the side, causing Strong to slam himself to the ground.

I heard his bone crack; well, it only probably got dislocated.

"Ahh, aargh…!" He grunted after he fell. He had a pretty big body, and it wasn't all muscle back then.

"Let's go, come on!" I whispered to Yuya as I pulled him up. "Yeah…"

Strong, though, caught my foot.

I got ready for that. I slammed his head to the ground, making him let me go, which gave Yuya enough time to run as I stayed to hold him back.

All those months of killing and torturing people gave me an idea that this might happen.

Strong finally got up, grunting. He glared at me. "You traitor…"

"Heh, traitor… Me!?" I laughed. "I have a proper reason to do that to you!"

"Alright, what's going on here?" A voice from behind Strong queried. It was Dennis. "Yuri? And what happened to you, Strong-san?"

"Yuri here hit me, which simply is treason in our group."

"But then why'd he hit you?"

"He was… tch, he was strangling my brother!" I yelled.

Strong approached me; I got ready. But I kinda already know what he was about to do.

"You know what happens if shit like this happens–"

"I have two options. One, I run–the most cowardly thing to do. Except, of course, I'll get a beating if caught–and I'm not allowed to pass by here anymore. Two, if I want to leave peacefully, we'll first have to fight. If the leader–you–wins, I have to stay. If I win, I either be the leader or leave without further consequences and even if not part of the group, I can pass by here." I cut off.

"Yep; you're right. So, what do you choose?"

"The latter."

"Let our fight begin, then."

"..." I looked at Dennis. He seemed worried…

Then again, why shouldn't he? He and I were–and still are–pretty close. I understand.

"Yuri…" He muttered.

"Tch, have faith in me, man! I ain't all that weak." I reassured.

And so, Strong and I wrestled to our near deaths. I tried my best to play fair by just doing the standard punches and kicks. And so far, I knew I was gonna win.

But, I thought so much of winning, I lost my guard.

Strong took a hold of my nape then used it to slam me towards the wall before putting his hand on my face. I growled.

"Krrgghh…!" I grunted as I squirmed.

"Better foreit now!"

He then lifted his left foot and I got ready as I knew that he was gonna kick my back.

"Gaaahhh!" I suddenly heard, voice once again sounding familiar; except, I knew it was not Dennis.

It was Yuya, charging towards Strong and I with what seemed to be a chair. He was holding it at its legs.

Yeah; a fucking chair.

"Yu-Yuya?!" I exclaimed. You won't believe how shocked I was. Was that really my brother…!?

"Leave my Onii-san alone!" He yelled, jumping before slamming the chair on Strong's head.

Said guy let me go out of the pain. "Aargghh! Why you…!" He then approached Yuya.

But wait, did Yuya really come to rescue me…? He did. And it's my fault we're in this mess. Now I have to rescue him… Again. I got ready to strangle Strong.

"Oh," he started, "I won't let this happen again." And with that, he called out to his lackeys who were behind Dennis. Huh, so that's where they were this whole time.

"We're coming, boss!" They called, voices sounding like one with a sore throat.

I got ready to sic them, but they weren't going to me.

They went for Yuya.

My eyes widened. "Oh, you really think they're going for you!? It's for him!" Strong revealed, pointing at Yuya.

"Let me go!" I heard Yuya yell.

Then, out of instinct, I charged at them.

I tried to simply detach them from him, pull, punch, kick, but still wouldn't budge.

My vision suddenly turned from multi-color to one with purple hue. I saw how I attacked Strong's lackeys, except, I wasn't controlling myself, but even so, their faces–full of fear–were fun to look at. But it triggered me even more, I saw how I reached out to scratch and bite their arms, how I slammed one's body to the ground and pounded at his chest repeatedly.

I grabbed a guy by the neck then took the pocket knife from earlier and used it to slice this guy's abdomen open, blood squirting on my face. I felt his pulse stop as I let him go.

I then turned to the other guy who still had Yuya and gave him the creepiest grin I could muster at the moment before walking over to them.

The other guy had a terrified look on his face as he let Yuya go and run away.

"Aww~ Come back~!" I got ready to chase him, but someone held me back, it was Dennis.

"Just let that one go!" Dennis grunted. "Your brother is safe now."

Hearing his last sentence helped me regain my control.

"Yaah!"

Dennis and I looked back and Yuya once again hit Strong with a chair. Turns out, Strong was about to shove me and Dennis to the ground, but Yuya prevented it.

Dennis let me go thinking I calmed down, but once again–as Dennis said 'cause I blacked out again at this part–I suddenly punched Strong to the wall…

Dennis said I beat him continuously.

Yuya and Dennis then pulled me away from him, but I kept on yelling, "Leave me alone! Leave my family alone! Never bother me, Dennis, nor Yuya EVER AGAIN…!"

Dennis kept on shushing me while Yuya covered my mouth. And that's how that day ended.

"That was… intense…" Serena commented. "Though, thanks, for telling me everything. It clarified a lot of things in my head," though at the same time raised a whole lotta questions…

"Not the way I thought you'd react, nor answer, but you're welcome.

-Edited part -

"Do you like, look back at the past, as in reflect on it and such?" Serena asked

Yuri gave it a thought before answering, "I don't think so…? Like, it was in the past, not now. What happened, happened, and I don't get the point on looking back and holding on to it 'cause you won't be able to move on and continue your future."

"So you kinda just disregard it?"

"I guess." Yuri shrugged. "I mean, yeah, I remember it and all, but I don't let it get to me… I might even forget about it unless someone mentions it to me."

"Y'know, I think that that's your problem. Unable to move on from your father's death causing your personality now. Pfui, maybe I did the right thing not looking back; I don't wanna turn into someone like you." He continued with a laugh at the end.

Serena gave him a light punch at the shoulder followed by a "Hey!"

-End of edited part -

Yuri then stopped laughing and took a look at her. "You should go to rest first. We can talk about it some other time."

Serena pouted. "Aww, maaan…"

This pissed him off a bit. "Then what? Get even more sick than you already are?"

"Okay then, fine." She pulled the blanket and pulled Misty towards her before cuddling with the cat.

This made Yuri smile as she actually looked… kinda cute right now. Okay; enough of that.

"Wait, what did you mean by what you said yesterday?" Serena suddenly asked.

"What do you mean…?" But he kinda already knew what he meant.

"Something about, and I quote, "How the indigo-lavender part of your hair contradicts with your lighter shade of steel blue. Your emerald-colored eyes full of life when you're happy, how it glints when you have another shenanigan in mind, or when you have another mischievous thought. Fists as hard as steel when it meets the gut, hands swift to snatch"—"

Yuri grimaced. Did it sound that weird!? "Okay, okay, I get it… It meant what it did."

"It was pretty cliche, even if you're the only one I've heard use it."

"Gee, can't you accept a compliment…?" He teased.

"I can, but it depends on the person who said it, how that person said it, and what they said." Serena smiled before frowning. "Uhh, Yuri?"

"Yeah?"

"Why'd you… rescue me? I have a feeling that blue cat has something to do with it, but what made you really do it?"

"As you said, she did tell me to do so, and that's kinda how I found out. But who knows? Perhaps there's another reason why I'd go out there and waste my time saving your ass." He grinned playfully. 'Maybe, I care a little bit about you,' he thought.

"I can only wonder what that reason could be."

After a few minutes more of talking, Yuri decided to sleep, leaning against the wall while sitting on the foot of the bed.

'Why, why did he save me, other than Blue Cat being the reason…' She pondered while trying to sleep. 'Does he care… no. It can't be that. Every guy I was with were just with me 'cause of Reiji but never really loved me, with the exception of Robin, but he didn't like me genuinely either…'

'Maybe he cares, but if he does, why would he? And why me? Though, assuming he does, I don't think he deserves me…' her heart burned at the thought. Heh, now her thoughts hurt her more than her own wounds…

She scooched towards Yuri and reached out to his hair. It tempted her to touch it, and when she did, she thought, 'Oh, Ra it's so s o f t… He looks kinda cute while sleeping…' She smiled. Then hit herself. 'What the FuCk am I thinking!? Ack, even doing!? Okay, that's enough.' She put her hand away and leaned at the wall.

Serena eventually passed out, unconsciously landing her head on Yuri's shoulder.

Dennis passed by the room and smiled at the two before continuing what he was doing.

A/N: Whew, this was actually a bit hard to write (even if some parts were prewritten). And hopefully, I explained *some* of Yuri's past clearly, and that the "disturbing" parts weren't so disturbing.

That's all for now. And if you haven't read the edited chapter 5 yet, you can do so now.

-01, out! And see yall next time.
