A/N: Hey everyone, I'm not dead yet! I was supposed to post this a few days ago, but some... family-related problems yknow. We got over it, though, so its fine now. I proofread this myself, too, another reason why I didn't update right away. Some mistakes might still be there tho.

Just a warning, this is the longest chapter I've ever written at almost 8k words, so I recc to read when you have free time as well as the hardest as there are a lot of things that happened here. I also decided to cancel my one-shot, but maybe ill decide to post in in the future.

Last, thanks for the review! I did my best to show how the events affected her, her siblings, and their bonds. Next chap's prolly gonna be about her and Rin (haven't started writing it yet :P).

I also heard Kazuki Takahashi died some weeks (i think) ago. Rest in peace, king. Thank you for all the Yu-Gi-Oh!. Wouldn't be here today without him.

Disclaimer: I do not own YGO ARC V

With the Sakaki's

Earlier, Yuri heard that some drunk guy at the bar Yuya worked at had smashed his guitar.

Of course, as always, Yuya didn't want to get revenge of any sort, even if Yugo and Yuto insisted.

Yuri, though, acted like he didn't care. But the purpose of him acting like that was to hide his true motive.

Tonight, as his three bros went to sleep, he'll avenge Yuya.

Now was what tonight was, and he'll be out to get the guy.

He changed into a black leather jacket over a plain magenta-colored T-shirt, some black jeans, and brown tennis shoes.

He then took some rope and a bat (he keeps such things in his room cause, "You'll never know") then went downstairs.

When he finally got there, he found someone rummaging through their fridge.

Yuri put the rope down, warily approached the fridge, and got ready to strike the person with the bat.

Right when he was about to, the person turned and revealed Yugo with a mouth stuffed with what seemed to be chocolate ice cream.

"MMMNNNNGGGPPHHH!" He exclaimed, putting his hands up as a means to stop the bat from hitting him. He swallowed, then said, "Stop, Yuri! It's me, Yugo!"

"What in the fucking shadow realm were you thinking, eating in the middle of the night!?" Yuri yelled as silently as he could to which Yugo simply answered, "Well, if we're not meant to have midnight snacks, why is there a light in the fridge?"

"Oh, and what are YOU doing with a bat, and oh, if you think I don't see it, rope in the middle of the night, Yuri?" He retorted, wiping the ice cream off his lips.

"Ah, those. I need 'em for something. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go somewhere," Yuri said, picking said things up.

"...I'm waking them!" Yugo tried to bolt up the stairs.

"Yugo, no…!"

Yeah… Change of plans; he's bringing Yugo with him.

He ran and pounced on Yugo and pinned him to the ground. "You…" Yuri started, smiling creepily, "are now coming with me!"

"No…!" Yugo choked.

"You better help, or else," Yuri warned.

"Okay, okay, fine!"

"When I let you go, you won't wake either of them up, capiche?"

"Yep, got it!"

Yuri finally let him go, making Yugo gasp for air.

"We better not get caught…"

"Correction, you better not be caught, cause as if I've ever been," Yuri scoffed. He was never caught, even in the past.

With the way he acts toward others (not including a specific group of people he knew), so sweet, so… innocent, even a charming and kind fellow, people around them never suspected Yuri as a killer, nor thought he'd kill anyone. He's, for other people, a but weird, they know that, but they never thought he'd kill… people.

His brothers, though, know he's neurotic, crazy, and a very much insane person, but they kinda lived and adjusted to it. They've seen him go mad before, real mad, and that was a long time ago. They don't wanna see it happen again.

"What're we gonna do, anyway?" Yugo asked.

Yuri threw his jacket and shoes at him before going onto the window. "No need to know that, come on."

"What… do you… mean?"

"Hop on my back."

"Why—"

"Why? Just do it. Am I strong enough to carry you? I believe I am. Now, enough questions and get on! Geez…" Yuri snapped.

Yugo sighed and hopped on him.

With the Akaba/Kurosaki Siblings

Reiji and the girls were waiting for Shun to arrive. It has been a while now and Reiji was trying to find a way to get themselves distracted. He then got a message saying they were almost there.

After a few minutes, a car arrived.

"Finally, they're here." Reiji sighed, leading his sisters outside the building where the cab was.

'They? I thought it was just Shun,' Serena thought.

Shun and a younger kid whose face was concealed by a cap and a hood then exited the taxi cab.

"Big brother," Reiji started, approaching him, "nice to see you again."

Shun smiled and hugged Reiji as the cab drove away. "You too, Rei."

He then let go and glanced at his sisters. "Well?"

"Onii-sama!" All except for Serena yelled and ran to him before giving him a tight embrace to which he returned.

"It's been a while," Ruri mentioned as she let him go.

"Yeah, and I see Serena still hates me." He chuckled, walking towards said girl. "Cmon, I know you miss me in some way."

Serena glared at him in response. "I'm fine, thanks," she answered flatly. "And who's that?" She pointed to the kid.

"That's Reira, she—" but before he could finish his sentence, Reira let go of a white cat which ran and jumped at Serena. "Serena!"

"OOF—" Serena yelped in surprise. "M-Misty!?"

"Mreow!" Misty meowed to her happily. 'Master!'

"Where have ya been, girl? I missed you so much…!"

'Alright, you win, B,' Misty groaned.

"Ah told yew," B teased. "I will once again say, nobody here can see me except you."

'Roger.'

"So that's the cat," Reiji mentioned, making Misty hiss. 'And who're you?'

"Careful. That's one of Master's brothers," B warned.

Shun stared at him then Serena, confused. "Eh? We just found that thing under a seat. It scared the shit out of our driver, mind you. It caused us to crash, so we had to find a cab. Oh, and that's why we're late."

"I see…"

"Don't dodge Serena's question," Rin interrupted. "Who's the kid? I don't mean any harm, but who is… she(?), and what's she doing here?"

Said kid just ran to Reiji and hid behind him. "This," he gestured to the kid, "is Reira. Say hi, Reira."

"H-Hi…" Reira trailed off nervously.

"Reira, these are my sisters: Ruri, Yuzu, Rin, and Serena." Reiji pointed to each one by one. The three all said hi.

"Ight, enough of this, we have some more important things to get to." Shun walked back inside the building. "Come on!"

"We're coming!" Yuzu yelled, following him.

Serena picked Misty up and looked at the kid who was gripping Reiji's coat like her life depended on it.

'Who are you…?' She thought.

She continued to think about the kid as they all walked back to the room.

Int. - The Office

"Now that we're here," Shun started as he sat on an office chair, "I guess I'll continue my part, even if Reiji also actually knows this and knew I didn't really need to come here," he went on sarcastically.

Reiji just scoffed. "What happened to them–Zarc and Ray–is better explained in your point of view as you experienced it firsthand."

"That's where you stopped, really? There?"

"At where Ray escaped, yes."

Shun shook his head. "Tch, of course it's at that part…" He just sighed and started. "I was… young. Only about four. I saw… I saw Ray escape and I followed her…"

Flashback - Shun POV

As I said, I followed her.

"Nee-san?" I remember asking Ray as she exited the room. "What are you doing?"

"Shun! I mean, Sh-Shun…" I remember her answering warily. "I'm just… I have to help dad with something, okay?"

"What are you gonna help him with? Didn't he say to stay because of a demon wrecking havoc outside?"

"That's not a demon, Shun… That was my best friend, Zarc—"

"You mean your boyfriend," I remember interrupting her, even chuckling a bit.

"No, he's not, okay! Get those thoughts of us out of your head," she teased back and laughed a lil' bit as well.

But then I absorbed what she said before and put two and two together. "Wait, are you saying Zarc-san is the 'demon' dad's trying to get us to avoid?! Are you gonna try and… Stop him?"

Ray also went serious when she realized that I've figured some parts of her plan out. "Sigh, something like that…"

"But wasn't he a kind and fun guy?"

"He was, until… Well, a certain group of, ehm, people, decided to do something bad to him; they forced him to do something he shouldn't have, at least not yet," she said, looking away, trying to hide her sad expression.

"Well, I really ought to go now." She patted my head.

"Onee-san!" I called to her once again, making her pause and look at me. I didn't really know why I did that.

Not really knowing what more to do nor say, I simply said, "T-Take care, and be careful."

"And you," she kneeled to my level, smiling, "Take care of Reiji, okay?"

"I'll try." At that, I could sense it. She was gonna be gone soon. It hurt.

It wasn't a death kind of gone, though. It was something else.

Still, I could also sense that we'll once again be at peace soon.

But I still had to say what was in my head. "Why, why does this sound like you're about to be gone? Not only for a while, but, possibly… Forever?"

She once again just gave me that sweet, sweet smile and tickled me a bit. "You need not to worry about that. Now, if you'll excuse me, I still have to bring Zarcy back."

I chuckled at her.

"What? Tell me, young falcon!" She tried to tickle me once again.

"You called Zarc, 'Zarcy'," I continued, chuckling and pushing her away.

I could tell she was caught off-guard when she blushed. "Sigh, you win, you win."

"Well, good luck bringing Zarc back, nee-chan."

"I'll try my best, Shun." She smiled one last time and ran off.

I then went back to the room and walked over to Reiji who was sleeping to guard him.

Now, to another more important part…

A few more hours later

I was walking back to my room after I went to the bathroom when I saw a flash from the window.

I ran somewhere and brought back a chair to look out of the window to see Ray commanding four monsters to attack Zarc's dragons. Dad was behind her reaching out, probably telling her to stop or something, but she ignored him and fought Zarc with hand-to-hand combat.

Worried and surprised, I ran out of the building as fast as I could and went a few meters behind Ray. "Onee-san!?"

"Shun!" Both dad and Ray yelled. Dad then grabbed me and didn't let me go as Ray went back to fighting Zarc.

"What did I tell you!? To stay back!"

"I'm sorry," I simply responded and watched Zarc and Ray fight.

"Why don't you just stop, Ray, and join me! You won't even need to fight me anymore!" I heard Zarc yell as he pinned Ray to the ground. "Come with me, be my queen!"

"Never…" One of Ray's monsters then swept Zarc off Ray, making the former land a few feet away.

Zarc got up and wiped some blood off his mouth. "Mind your own business… Odd," he called to one of his dragons, "get 'em!"

They and their monsters fought and fought, making more bruises and wounds form on their bodies. And with each wound and blood that formed and dropped, I lost hope–hope that Ray will still live.

Dad and I couldn't do anything knowing interfering won't do anything good. I felt bad that neither of us could do anything to help, but we both knew it was for the best.

At some point, they both stopped and talked to each other, probably 'cause of exhaustion.

I broke free from dad's arms though and got close enough to hear their conversation.

I… heard her whisper, "You won't ever stop, would you…"

"As long as humans live, no. Never," Zarc replied, his voice full of venom.

"I have no more choice, then," Ray responded hastily. I turned to look at them and saw a tear form and drop on her face. I felt empty seeing that.

"I'm sorry, Zarc."

"What, why!?"

I saw her look at her monsters and nod. Her monsters' faces were full of shock but they also closed their eyes before slowly opening them again, accepting their fate. Her monsters then started to glow and pinned each of Zarc's dragons to the ground.

"For the good of the world, my monsters and I will have to sacrifice ourselves."

"Ray…" I remember mumbling and feeling tears form, my cheeks becoming hot. My heart felt like it was being dropped from the top of a building.

"You won't…"

She looked at him dead in the eye. "I will. I love you, Zarcy." Their monsters all dissapirated one by one, then, I blacked out.

I awoke in a dark place. It wasn't cold nor hot there, just, dark, and… I could tell it was wide.

"Hello?" I called. "Is anyone there!?"

"Shun." I heard her voice. Ray was here!

"Ray!?" I called once again in hopes of seeing her. I turned and saw what seemed to be a floating, golden humanoid spirit. I couldn't tell what or even who it was at first. "R… ay?"

The spirit formed what I could only guess was a smile. "Yes, Shun. I'm about to disappear, forever—"

"No, Ray, you can't just…" I interrupted and tried to hug the spirit. I just passed her. I felt my heart drop once again. "Ray… no…" I whimpered, turning to her.

"Take good care of Reiji, mom, and dad, okay?" She kneeled to my level and wiped a tear on my cheek. It wasn't fair; she got to touch me, but I couldn't touch her!? "Shun, can you do that for me?"

I nodded. A few tears fell from my eyes. "I-I'll try…"

"Thank you. One more thing, soon, I know you'll have more 'siblings', and that they'll look like me a bit. Please don't be insulted, and never, and I mean, never hold a grudge against any of them." I didn't know what she meant back then. And now, I just realized that I failed at that.

"They– what?"

"Sigh, you'll know." She smiled. "Protect them with your life…" she then disappeared.

I then spent the next few minutes calling her, but nothing happened.

The dark room then turned to a lighter color of gray and before I knew it, I woke up to Zarc screaming, "No, NO, NOOOO…!" As his body disintegrated.

I blinked. They weren't there anymore. Ray took Zarc with her and they were gone… Ray was gone.

I was pulled away as I refused to leave the place.

Present

"That's all of the important parts, I guess," Shun said. "Plus, the flashbacks hurt…"

'Huh… Maybe that's why Shun didn't like it that I rebelled and went out even when dad said no…' Serena thought. 'I'm sorry, Shun. I understand now.'

"WAit," Yuzu interrupted. "Ray knew we were gonna exist!?"

Shun thought for a moment. "Yeah, she did. When I first saw you all, I didn't really like yall cause… you looked like her. But after a while, one-by-one, I accepted it."

"And dad, even if his research was still inscrutable at the time, actually spent the next few months making Ruri and Rin, then, a year-or-so, Serena, then Yuzu, some… replacements, simply put. You four though were born in tubes. He made you four exactly the way he did with Ray. Same genes, same method, just no surrogates, probably to monitor your growths better," he added.

Reiji then took a step forward. "With those years, though, he didn't just make you guys. Same with Ray, he remade more Zarcs."

"Of course he did." Serena grumbled. "Once again, I think blaming myself for everything was all for naught."

"And once again I say, 'Stop blaming and beating yourself up.' It was in the past, let it go," Reiji commented.

"No."

"She should, actually. She deserves it," Shun jokes.

"Don't encourage her. Please…"

The other three girls just watched the soon-to-be fight unfold.

"I should stop them before things get out of hand," Rin moaned to which the other girls agreed.

"Don't be too harsh, though," Ruri reminded.

Rin nodded and walked to the other three.

She then took a huge gulp of air and yelled as patiently as she could, "STOp it before things get serious! Ra…"

"Hmph, fine," Shun growled.

Yuzu smiled and joined in. "Now say, 'I'm sorry, Serena and Reiji'."

"..."

"Say it!" Ruri exclaimed from behind him and gave him a light smack. "Shun…"

"Gee, fine! I'm… Sorry." His favorite, though he wouldn't admit, was Ruri. He somehow could never say no to her.

"Who are you saying sorry too?"

"Reiji…"

"And….?" Ruri went on.

"...Se …Serena."

Ruri then grinned maliciously before turning it into an innocent smile. "Now hug each other!"

"What!?" Serena, Shun, and Reiji all shouted in sync. "No!/No!/No."

The other three girls then just burst into laughter while Reira just observed. "Alright, kidding. You don't have to do that," Ruri continued, still laughing.

Yuzu then tiptoed and patted Shun on the head. "That was good, though. You're a good nii-san!"

"Alright, enough," Shun warned, pulling Yuzu's hand away. "There is something else Reiji and I have to tell you girls, though."

"Is it something bout that kid just sitting in the corner?" Serena asked, pointing towards Reira's direction.

"Ah, Reira. We'll get to her later, if we have time. What Shun meant was something else," Reiji started, walking away. "Don't question anything and just follow me."

All others then followed him.

Ext. - Building - Garden - Later

Reiji led all his siblings to what seemed to be a large garden.

The place had a glass dome which had a massive hole as if something large and heavy fell through; pieces of broken glass were scattered everywhere. Vines and some plants have somehow climbed to the top and reached the hole. "This building, other than being a laboratory, was where Zarc and Ray mostly grew up. They fought around this place, but it was cleaned up. That big hole is the only thing left of their fight. Shun said that one of the monsters fell through there."

"Now, because of the other 'Zarc's dad created, you all have to somehow keep them in check. You four," he pointed to the girls, "might need some help."

He smiled and adjusted his glasses. "That's where the monsters come in."

"...mrow?" 'Hey, B, do you have anything to do with this?' Misty looked around in search of Blue but didn't see her. 'B? Eh. Go hide, then.'

"What monsters?" Rin asked.

"All your bracelets can call them, in a way," Shun explained. "And they also react to and can control some forces of nature. I'm not sure, but maybe they can also give you powers."

At this, all the girls looked at their bracelets.

"Wait, powers!?" Serena shouted. "What powers…?"

"We're not entirely sure, but when you learn to call your monsters at will, your powers should just follow. You four can go and try."

Rin started to stammer, "Try? We don't even know how to use them, like, do we tap on them, or—"

"They're gonna come," Reira said, clutching her bear.

"Oh, so you can predict that, huh…" Serena rolled her eyes.

Just then, there was a flash of bright, white, searing light–almost comparable to your phone in light mode during the night time–making everyone cover their eyes with their arms.

"Looks like she can." Ruri laughed. "Maybe."

Four visible humanoid silhouettes could be seen descending from said light.

When all four landed on the ground, everyone was shocked. Reira even gripped Reiji's jeans tighter.

I mean, who wouldn't be? All being girls, one was dressed in a blue bird costume resembling a swallow, another one dressed in lots of pink frills and ribbons (a big one on her chest which had a blue gemstone on it,) and a dark indigo with pink highlights witch's hat, had a crystal wand (with some spikes), and a crystal… broomstick? Another was a blueish cat furry whatever dressed like a ballerina in a moon motif and mask, and another which was wearing a red dress with puffy sleeves and skirt, a blue frilled underskirt, and red dress shoes.

"We can actually appear anytime we want," the last one mentioned, smiling. "My name is Sonata. I'm kinda their leader. The cat is Blue Cat, you can call her B–if she allows. The witch, or spellcaster, she insists, is Ice Bell, you can call her Ice. The bird is Sapphire Swallow; you can call her Saph."

"We are your monsters, but mostly guardians, as Serena knows what Blue here, ehem, even if we told her not to, did," Ice added.

"She needed me," B huffed.

Misty was a bit agape. She then frowned boredly. 'So that's why you weren't here.'

"Who-who are you all!?" Ruri exclaimed, clearly in shock of what these creatures could be.

But Shun had an idea. They literally just said it. "So you're all their monsters, huh. Or are you not?" 'The ones with Ray were different, though. I wonder with the boys…'

"Well, we are—" the one in a bird costume, Saph, started.

"WAIT! It… it's you!" Serena yelled, pointing at B with both of her hands. "You're the one who told Yuri what happened to me—I mean, eh…" Serena trailed off just realizing what she was saying. "Uhm…"

Everyone in the room excluding Blue Cat and Misty looked at Serena.

"What happened to you this time, and why didn't you tell us!?" Rin angrily yelled at Serena. "And why didn't you tell any of us rather than whoever freak you just mentioned!?" She was talking to B this time.

"I have my reasons. Also I saw how she clearly doesn't trust you girls all that much," Blue cat simply stated as Serena looked away.

Rin walked over to Serena and was about to give her an earful when Ruri stopped her.

"Alright, stop. I'm the eldest… sister here, and I know you're mostly responsible for her, but we can do this later," Ruri whispered to Rin. "We have yet to discover new things, important things about us!" 'But I mostly wanna know who these boys are…'

"But Ruri, she—"

"Rin. There's time for that later."

Rin just grunted then sighed. "Alright, then. Serena, you and I will have a talk some time. You four, can you explain more about our relations with you?"

"Well, where do you guys think should we start?" Saph asked.

"I'm sorry, but, can we save this for later?" Yuzu yawned, sitting on a rock. "I'm getting tired. The trip was also quite exhausting."

'There goes me wanting to know who the boys are,' Ruri thought. 'I'll try and ask next time.'

"Depends on what they have to say," Reiji mentioned, referring to the four monsters. "So, what do you say?"

"Yeah, you humans can rest. We can save this for another time," Sonata responded. "Girls?"

Saph and Ice nodded in agreement while B just yawned. "Yeah, I wanna rest too, anyway."

And so, they all headed to the car.

When Yuzu was about to close the door, she asked, "Wait, what about you guys?"

"Oh, it's fine. We can just teleport. Plus, we kinda choose where we 'live', anyway," Sonata affirmed. "B likes to follow her," she pointed to Serena who was leaning on the car's window, "and secretly sleeps on her shoulder–in cat form."

"Wait, what?"

"Eh, you'll know when you see it," Sonata brushed off. "We three are leaving but, as you can see," she sighed and motioned to look at B who was floating to Serena–in her cat form–'s shoulder and napped, "she's staying with her. Well, bye now!"

"Bye," Yuzu said with Rin and Ruri saying the same as they waved goodbye. The monsters, not including B, disappeared as Reiji started to drive.

Ext. - Bar Where Yuya Works, Alley - Late at Night

Yuri and Yugo had just arrived an hour ago and found the guy (Yuya showed them a picture in their GC and Yuri saved it so they knew what he looked like) groping some lady then chased him away, freeing the girl.

"Marco…" Yuri called out in the calmest albeit creepiest voice he could muster. "MaaAAarcooOO…"

"Is this really necessary!?" Yugo whisper-yelled. "This is why you're never Marco in the pool, by the way!"

"Come on, man. We haven't even caught him yet, where's your sense of fun?" Yuri scoffed, tapping the bat at the wall rhythmically and as slow as he could.

"You have a twisted, and I mean twisted sense of fun, Yuri! Oh, and what you're doing is making my skin crawl, you know…"

Just then, a Christmas song started to play. It was "Santa Claus is Coming to Town".

'Oh, shit… this'll just give him more ideas…' Yugo thought exasperatedly.

And he was right cause when Yuri recognized the song, he grinned creepily, an idea coming to him.

"Hey, guy that's hiding from us, why don't we have a sing-along?" He suggested. "Except this time, let's change the 'Santa Claus' parts to 'Yuri-kun'!"

The guy, who was behind a wall, just shuddered.

'Knew it,' Yugo thought once more.

"I'll start," Yuri said giddily as the song replayed.

(Yuri) You'd better watch out! Yuri started.

You'd better not cry,

Better not pout, He swung his bat around.

I'm telling you why. "Come on, sing it with me!"

Yuri-kun is coming to town.

"That was a bit cringey, gotta admit," Yugo stated.

Yuri just continued. He's making a list, and checking it twice;

gonna find out who's naughty or nice. He added, putting emphasis on the bolded words. "Sing the next, Yugo!"

"Fine…" (Yugo) Santa–I mean, Yuri-kun–is coming to town. "No more!"

Yuri saw the guy move somewhere. 'That should make you easier to catch…'

Yuri then laughed. "Ah, some of my favorite parts…"

(Yuri) He sees you when your sleeping,

he knows when you're awake~

He knows if you've been bad or good "–oh, he does!"

so be good for goodness sake! "You really should've been." He then tied the rope he had into a circle.

Ohh…

You'd better watch out,

You'd better not cry! He then threw the rope up a horizontal pole, made sure it was strong, then pulled the other part down.

Better not pout, I'm telling you why. "Go, Yugo! All of the next, and, last, I promise."

(Yugo) *groan*...Yuri-kun is coming to town.

He sees you when you're sleeping,

he knows when you're awake. "—I just realized how creepy this song actually is!" Yugo moaned to which Yuri laughed, "I know, right!?"

He knows if you've been bad or good

so be good for goodness sake!

Ohhh… "Alright, my turn," Yuri interrupted.

(Yuri) You'd better watch out!

You'd better not cry.

Better not pout, I' you why.

Yuri-kun is coming to town~! Finally, the song ended.

"Call me annoying if you wish, but why are you doing this?" Yugo, once again, asked. "The wanting to catch the guy?"

"Cause Yuya said some guy smashed his guitar," Yuri stated bluntly, clearly annoyed as he pulled Yugo and hid.

"So that's why!" Yugo yelled. "It's a pretty small problem! You can go beat him up, and you don't even need me, oh, and, you don't have to kill him."

"I brought you 'cause you were about to wake Yuto and Yuya up," Yuri explained. "You know how I get if it's Yuya who's bullied or beaten."

"Yeah, I do…" 'That's why I know Yuya prefers you not hearing/knowing about the troubles he sometimes gets himself into…' "Why do you wanna do this, anyway!? Aren't you the one who prefers to stay out of trouble and usually not get revenge because it's 'A waste of energy', or 'cause it's, 'Not really worth it'!?"

"Says the guy who wouldn't stop talking bout revenge earlier. Also, shut up…"

"That was earlier!" Yugo yelled. "And don't dodge the question, Yuri! Why. Are. You. Really. Doing. This!?"

"Well maybe it's for a different reason this time, Yugo!" Yuri suddenly shouted. "It could be that some idiot fucking left without telling me…" Yuri mumbled.

'Yeah, It's because you're bitter that Serena left without telling ya, only telling Dennis to tell you,' his stupid subconscious whispered. 'In a way, you never felt something like this before, and you don't really know how to react; how to deal with this new, peculiar, feeling.'

'Shut up.' He scolded himself.

'You know that that's part of the reason why you're doing this. Just admit it.'

"...what?" Yugo asked, confused.

"It's not like you can do anything about it…"

But Yugo isn't all that stupid. "Some… Idiot? Who'z the idiot, Yuri? I thought I was the only idiot you knew."

"Ha! You, Yuya, and… Someone–that you don't have to know," Yuri corrected. "Now, shh. He's coming."

"Who's coming—" Yuri blocked Yugo's lips with his fingers so that he'd be quiet.

Yuri then suddenly turned and knocked the guy unconscious. "Quick, help me tie him up!"

"No—" he was met with Yuri's glare. "Fine…"

Yuri then hung the guy.

"Got him!" Yuri exclaimed enthusiastically, grinning from ear to ear before blindfolding the guy.

"Oh, no…" Yugo sighed.

Yuri picked his bat up. "You wanna go first?" He offered Yugo the bat.

"No thanks… And please don't let me see it—" Yuri just ignored him and swung his bat to the guy's head, leaving a part of it a deep red. "Yuri!"

"Tell me, do you remember smashing someone's guitar earlier?" Yuri asked the guy calmly, anger almost not evident in his voice.

The guy grunted. "I-I think… Who-who are you both, anyway!?"

He just smiled a smile almost comparable to the Nazi Butcher's–a smile that showed the depravity of man. "The last people you'll ever hear… Before you die." He then started to just hit the guy on almost all parts of the body, saving the head for last.

Yuri then put the bat down and started to punch the guy's face.

"Stop, please," the guy wheezed after a few minutes of the beating. He coughed out some blood. "Please…"

"Yeah, Yuri. Let's just call the police on this, okay?" Yugo begged. "Alright? Then we can go home."

"He beat Yuya up and smashed his guitar!" Yuri barked. His fists also started to bleed from the punches. "Can't you see?"

Yugo sighed and shook his head. "This… This is too far! And I know it's not 'cause of Yuya–well, maybe part of it is, but he's not the main cause, I can tell, you know!"

"...just let me do what I want." Yuri picked the bat up and started to hit the guy once more but doing his best to not accidentally knock him unconscious or killing him… for torture.

"Ooh… Argh!" Yugo growled. Not really knowing what to do, he took his phone and looked through his contacts. "I'm calling Yuto, I'm doing it!"

"Go ahead, then!"

When Yugo was about to call him, he stumbled, making his phone fall and his contacts move. Then, without checking, he just tapped on a number and called.

With the Akaba-Kurosaki Siblings

In the car, the above-mentioned siblings were all tired and wanted to sleep with Ruri, Yuzu, and Reira already asleep (Reira's with Yuzu), Serena and Shun leaning at the window, Rin's head falling but she stops it every now and then, and Reiji squinting his eyes to see better as he drove.

Misty and B were also sleeping peacefully on Serena's lap.

Then, when Rin was just about to really doze off, her phone rang. Loudly.

"A (computer) bug!" She exclaimed, making her and all still awake people's spirits go up.

"Rin!"

"Sorry…" She answered it and turned the hologram call on, showing her and Serena as she was the closest. "Hello, Yugo?"

From the other end, said guy screamed, "Yuto! Yuri's gone apeshit… With something. Please come here right now!"

"Wrong number, Yugo…" Rin told him.

"Yuri?" Serena asked. "Who Yuri… Wait, it's you… the one from the bus stop!"

"Huh? Oh, Rin! And… You!"

With the Yu Brothers, Yuri turned when he heard someone mention Serena and heard her voice. "Rena?"

"Yuri, you know her?" Yugo pointed to Serena.

"Kinda."

Back with the others, Reiji asked, "Who called, Rin?"

"Just Yugo," she answered. "What's going on over there?"

"Oh, uh, before that, do you consider Serena there an idiot?"

"What." Both girls said.

"Just answer, Rin."

"...not really, but yeah, I sometimes consider her an idiot, why?"

Yugo nodded. "Hand the phone to her, please. No questions!" This made both Yuri and Serena raise their eyebrows.

"'Kay, geez…" Rin handed the phone to her.

"Hey, Serena, you know Yuri, right?"

"Yeah…"

"Please try and talk some sense into him. And don't freak out."

'Wait, what? Why me?' Serena thought.

Yugo gave the phone to Yuri. "Take it."

Yuri tilted his head, almost looking like a cute, innocent puppy, before taking the phone. "Serena."

"Yuri. Something tells me you did something wrong," she began. "May I ask what that may be? And be honest."

"Before any of that… WHERE ARE YOU?" Yuri yelled at the top of his lungs. He was glaring at her.

Serena moved the phone away as he yelled. "Gee, dude, take a chill pill. I'm in my brother's car, going home. What about you?"

He grinned. "I'm bouta kill someone!"

This made everyone–including Yugo–look at him.

"...don't…?" Serena didn't really know what to say. Her sleepiness didn't make it any easier.

Yugo pushed Yuri away. "See? Please help me stop him!"

"Well," Serena sighed, "I'll try."

Yugo nodded and went away.

'Hmm… I'll have to see, or at least listen to 'em with this,' Reiji thought.

"Wait, you'll try to what? And he was about to what?" Rin asked.

"Try and stop him, he was 'bout to kill someone."

"How do you—?"

"I dunno, 'kay? I'll just try."

"Rena? Is that you now?" Yuri asked, making it obvious he found a new nickname for her to amuse himself.

"Yes, don't call me that, and please don't try to kill whoever that was. What happened, anyway?"

"He smashed Lil' bro–Yuya–'s guitar. He desewves it," Yuri whined.

"Okay, that's understandable… Still not enough of a reason for ya to end his life." She gave a short pause. "And don't talk like a baby, please; it annoys me."

"...I still wanna kill the guy." He took his bat (he also still had the phone), walked to the guy, and prodded the guy's beaten and bruised face with the bat. "'Dis him."

"H-help me… Please…" the guy choked.

Serena just gaped at the sight. "Tch, Yuri…"

"What did I do?"

"What did… what–You KNOW what you did! And stop!"

Yugo took the phone. "Look, I hafta tell ya something."

"Me, or Rin?"

"You," he replied.

She shrugged. "Yeah, okay, what? I still have to stop Yuri from doing something."

"Okay, okay… He said that the guy smashing Yuya's guitar wasn't the only cause. He said that, 'some idiot left without telling him'. Do you happen to know this 'idiot' by any chance?"

Hearing that, Yuri tried to snatch the phone from him.

"No!"

With Serena, "Uhh… I think that he's referring to me," she confessed. "To be honest, and I'm talking to all of you, including my siblings, I've been hanging out with him for maybe… almost, more or less, two weeks?"

'Huh, much longer than I anticipated,' Reiji thought. 'Though that's a good thing.'

"Now, before anyone jumps into conclusions or has those thoughts, we're just acquaintances," Serena clarified.

"He never told any of us…" Yugo mentioned, moving the phone away from Yuri, making the hologram blur for a few seconds.

"Hmm… I think Yuya knows a bit. But I doubt he didn't tell Yuya to not to tell you nor your other brother."

"Imma talk to him later–shoot! He's at it again, please do your best to stop him," Yugo begged.

'Why me?' Serena thought once again. "Sigh… Yeah, I'll once again say, 'I'll do my best'."

"Thank you." He gave the phone to Yuri. "Here."

Then, furiously, she told Yuri, "Ight, that's enough!"

"No!" He swung his bat again. "I dunno, okay!" He barked. "I usually not wanna do this, but, well–I really don't know…"

Both ends went silent.

Then, Serena gave a deep sigh before saying, "Look, I-I'm sorry, I guess, for just… leaving without telling you. I had no idea you'll react this way."

Yuri just looked away.

"But that doesn't mean that you have to go to this extreme! I'm eventually gonna go back, and, I'm safe! If that also worries you."

Yuri, still looking away, furrowed his thick eyebrows. "I'm not exactly worried, but, I've spent quite a lot of time with you and taking care of you. I don't want you to suddenly be gone," he muttered. His voice didn't really speak nor show any sadness; in fact, it was quite… bland. But even so, you could tell what he said was genuine.

This made Reiji smile. 'Looks like what I saw with Reira that day might be a good thing…'

"Why you smiling? What that guy said must've meant that she got hurt several times, you know," Shun noted. "And we know how he is in the workplace."

"Yeah, but that meant someone was taking care of her when we weren't around," Reiji explained. "And I don't always trust Yuri, but Serena's different; she can somehow handle him, I know that."

Shun just leaned back in his chair. "If you say so."

Back with Serena and the others, she had absorbed what Yuri said deeply. 'That's how much I affect him? No… He could just be lying, but it's better if I at least acted like I acknowledged what he said.'

She gave him a small, genuine, happy smile. "Well, I ain't gone yet. I still have to take you on lots of joyrides, remember? Plus, we both have yet to annoy each other to no end and maybe even… get to know each other more on the way."

'What the… She-she actually smiled! A genuine smile…' Rin thought, bewildered, and looked at Yuri's hologram. 'Thank you, I guess.'

Yuri himself was also giving a small smile. "Yeah, you're right… And I still have to continue keeping you out of trouble."

"I also have to do the same, so, will you just call the police on this, please? And don't psyche me or I swear."

"…can I please just kill him?"

"For the millionth time–NO!"

"Just a little bit?"

"Yuri."

He snickered. "Alright, alright… I'll do it."

"Ight then, take your phone, and call."

"Eh, fine…" He did just that.

Everybody was surprised. He… He actually did it…

When the dispatcher answered, Yuri told them that he found a criminal and left it in this location then ended the call.

"There, happy?"

"Good boy," Serena teased. "And yes, very. Thank you, asshole."

"Welcome, crazy cat lady."

"Crazy cat lady? Nah man, I prefer the term, Dedicated Feline Enthusiast."

"Whatever. Have a good time there, I guess. Dennis never mentioned that you were gonna go with your family, though."

"I did plan on going alone," she sighed, "but on the way here, they… found me."

"Pfff what a twist." Yuri laughed.

He then stopped laughing and sat down. When he did, he noticed something. "Your… hair…"

"Yeah, what's with it?"

"It's tied up. I've never seen it tied before. It's… beautiful," he mentioned innocently. 'If only you showed it like that more.' He then imagined his mother's ribbon tied on her hair instead. A small smile then formed on his face again.

"Uhh, okay, then. Well, I really ought to go now, bye."

And without even waiting for Yuri to answer, she handed the phone to Rin. "Here."

"Thanks."

She then thought of what Yuri said. 'Did he just call my hair beautiful!?' She blushed. 'No, no, oh come on… these fucking feelings… my fucking heart. Why do you have to let me feel this way?'

"Where's Serena?" Yuri asked.

"She moved away, muttering and contemplating on something," Rin answered. "And we should meet up soon and talk about how you guys met." Rin smiled, but looked annoyed. 'Imma see if you're a good person.'

Yuri simply nodded and handed the phone back to Yugo and whispered to him, "Don't take too long. We still have to go before the police find us."

Yugo nodded and said goodbye to Rin.

"So… how we gonna hide our fingerprints?" Yugo asked Yuri who was picking the bat up.

"Don't you remember? I have no prints," he put the bat down and waved his fingers and took it again. "As long as you didn't touch anything, we're fine. You did not touch anything, right?"

"As far as I remember, nope."

He and Yuri then went on their way.

Back with Rin, she gave a deep sigh as the call finally ended.

She called Serena and whispered, "We're gonna have a long talk later."

"Pft, okay, I guess."

"That guy looked a bit like Yuto," a voice said, yawning.

It was Ruri.

"You were awake the whole time?" Rin asked.

"Yawn… pretty much. No harm in being quiet, amirite." Ruri giggled. "By the way, Reiji-nii, who were these 'boys' you told us about?"

"Tell them, Shun."

"She asked you."

"Fine. From what Shun and I have found from the files in the past, they were called the 'Yu-Boys', so we suspect…" he sighed. "Maybe you all already know."

"Wait, YUya, YUto, YUgo, and YUri!?" Serena realized. "Uhh, the… Sakaki brothers? Please not."

"Yes… If Shun and I recall it right, Zarc was a Sakaki. Though Yuya's 'Yu' is different (遊) than his brothers (ユ), yes. It's them. You four should stop them from wreaking havoc, right? One way to do such is to make a bond with them–a strong one, and that should keep them happy."

'No,' Ruri thought. 'Please, not them…' She was wide-eyed.

Now, she couldn't believe it because they had the DNA of a demon (okay, maybe), it's because she made a promise to someone a long time ago… to keep her siblings safe, that she wouldn't ever make this 'bond'.

She already knew some snippets of this. She just got a better and wider explanation now.

'Why!? Why did it have to be Yuto… why him…' She felt like she's gonna tear up but prevented it. She didn't want to reveal the secret she'd successfully hidden from them all these years.

Rin was fine with this as she started to like Yugo already. Yuzu had no reaction 'cause she was still asleep with Reira, but if she were awake, she'd still be fine because she already succeeded.

With Serena, though… Her great distrust of people made it hard for her to trust anybody. Though, she always wondered how she easily trusted Yuri, Sora and Dennis a lil' bit too. She thought could be that Yuri tricked her somehow, but if she remembers it clearly, she made the first move by giving him the joyride.

"Girls, may I ask you all something?" Reiji asked.

"I don't mind, whattabout you two?" Ruri asked Rin and Serena. Both just nodded.

"Not to rush anything, but how are your relationships with the guys? Not what happened in each of your interactions, but how close are you?" Reiji continued.

Rin smiled. "Yugo and I are great friends. He's a bit of an idiot, but he's fun to be with."

"Good, Ruri?"

"Hmm… as I mentioned earlier, Yuto and I already dated. He also… tried to… kiss me." She blushed a bit and looked away. "We aren't a… 'thing' yet, though."

"He… WHAT!?" Shun furiously yelled. "What did that eggplant do?"

"Yawn, weren't you listening?" Serena yawned. "He almost kissed her. I saw it happen firsthand."

"I am so gonna kill—" Shun started.

Till Reiji shut him up. "Stop. It was bound to happen."

"But not this fast!"

Reiji sighed and stopped at the side of the road. "I understand your favoritism for Ruri and Yuzu, but—"

"Favoritism!? What are you talking about?" Shun laughed nervously. "I love you all–yeah, okay, maybe not including Serena–just the same!"

Serena scoffed. "Oh, really… Not the me part, but the others."

Reiji just ignored them both. "—if possible, they're 'sposed to even fall in love with them."

"I saw that demon, Rei. I know… I know that this is for the good of the world, but we lost Ray already. We can't lose them, too!"

"Waitwaitwait, what was with the 'fall in love' part?" Serena interrupted, putting Misty and B on the car's floor then made her way to the front. "No one's controlling my love life, even if Reiji is a bit, and I'm not planning to hook up with anybody! Moreover, if I'm supposed to be with that asshole, aka Yuri, what's the purpose of trying to hook me up with other people!? What kind of bond do we have to make with them, anyway?"

"No matter if it's platonic or romantic, as long as it's strong," Reiji told her. "And I don't really trust Yuri, that's why."

"Hm. I'm nowhere close to starting a relationship nor being close to him, anyway…" She went back to her seat.

"You somehow getting him to listen to you was a start, actually." Reiji gave a small laugh and continued driving. "He doesn't really like anyone bossing him around. You didn't even need to put as much effort as I do to get him to do something."

"He's right," Shun agreed. "I've seen him every now and then with my best friend, his older brother, Yuto. Even with him, he doesn't listen as much. And who's hooking you up with other people?"

"Me." Reiji sighed. 'But I actually have a different motive than what's running around these guys' heads.'

"What? Why!?" Shun asked.

"It's obvious why."

From behind, out of desperation to look for something to distract herself while the others argue, Ruri thought of something. "Guys! Random thought, but isn't Thanksgiving coming? Wait, I think it's tomorrow…"

"Wait, it is," Rin groaned. "I guess we ain't celebrating."

"As if we already do." Serena laughed and rolled her eyes as Misty and B climbed back to her lap to sleep again. "Really."

The two ignored her and just slept.

"Yeah, we're just gonna go back to the city tomorrow. I mean, we supposedly just came here for dad, anyway," Ruri pointed out.

"Well, if all of you are leaving tomorrow, get rest. No more arguments for now. We'll wake you when we get home," Reiji said to the girls.

"Finally," Serena grunted as she made herself comfortable in her unstable position. Ruri and Rin just said thanks and did the same.

"Oh, you… still have to tell us about Reira," Serena mentioned.

"When we have time," Reiji said and continued driving.

Tomorrow might be another long day.

A/N: Now ik (I felt like it was) it has been a bit boring since the last chapter, and im not yet sure bout the next, but i assure you more fun and fluff are bouta come! I just had to explain all this, so don't think i've given up; i still have lots of ideas and events to somehow just shove into this story (and make relevant, of course).

Btw, i like imagining Abridged Yuri (also Serena)'s voice for the story, I like it. Here is the link to it if you want (the Marco Polo idea was also from there) (remove spacing & vertical line): archive.|org /details/Arkfive

Not sure yet, but the next chapters might also be longer than usual. My B-Day's also on Jul 30th hehe...

Last, I thank VenomStarved & LUNXLIGHT's past interactions from Twitter (they're some of my fav RP accounts). I'm not an RPer, I only spectate, but it was fun watching (reading?) them. The nickname "Rena" was also from them. LUNXLIGHT's admin is also losing RP interest, hopefully no, though. Please uhh... idk, pray for them ig? It's rare to see a Serena acc like theirs... Their interactions (whether good, fluff, or angsty) are also some motivations for me to continue this story lmao.

This is all for now.
-01, out!
