Lian turned around, as she dropped the can as a knife was swung to her face. Only to have missed. She flipped back and landed to see the identity of another attacker. She is a ginger-haired woman like her, but with a blue and red leotard with long sleeves and her legs exposed. Hosting two pistols on her hips and a whip on her waist.

"Missed me! Trying to sneak up on me?! My master taught me to avoid that." Lian taunted. "Let me guess, you're one of the 100. Right? Whatever scheme you got here, I don't care. Get out of Star City, or I'll make you."

"Go ahead, little girl. Make me. And I am Syonide, my boss sent his regards." She retorted.

"Really? Cause that's what Prometheus said to me. And he failed to catch me. I'd rather deal with your boss, whiplash." Syonide then takes out her whiplash and swings it to hit Lian. Only for her to roll away and avoid her slashes.

Twisting her hips to avoid more of Syonide's kicks. Then a boy in the hood of a League of Shadows' uniform came out of the blue to kick Lian in the back. But Lian recovers to see who also attacked her from behind.

Talia turns on the screen for the most of the children of villains who are to be most likely recruited to become members of the League of Shadows, or to kill if they refused.

She showed her son the picture of the ginger-haired girl targeted for recruit. "Here, Damian. This is the first one in our list. Her name is Lian Nguyen-Harper. And she is most likely a candidate to the League of Shadows."

"I hate to point any fingers for this mother. But wasn't her mother one of us?" Asked Damian. The mention of Lian's mother was a sickening feeling Talia would hate to hear. But Lian would have to be the best asset to the Shadows, whether she likes it or not.

"True. But her mother is rather recessive when it comes to her own personal feelings to the man she would wound up with. But her daughter, one of my sister's prized pupils. There we must unlock this inner side of her that her mother before her had closed away long ago." Talia explains.

"And if she refused?" Damian asked. Talia turns turned to her son. And gave him a glare that her son would not be phased by.

"Bring her to the Light, dead or alive."

Artur, the crown Prince of Atlantis, and the future successor to the throne after his mother, Mera. He walked out of the throne room after another argument with his parents.

"Oh, Mother. She couldn't even listen to me for once. I should be out there, fighting pirates and poachers, criminals. Not standing in the sidelines and be reminded that I was the prince of the seven seas." He complained.

To his dismay, a young Atlantean woman his age swam by. She is of Atlantean nobility who smirked at him, Sa'raia. "You're late, Sa'raia from one of those meetings. Mother will not be pleased."

"Oh, Artur. You're even more handsome when you get very serious." As she stroked him by the cheek. He gently pushed it down. Having been fed up with her childish behavior.

"Enough games. Next time, you won't participate." He reprimanded her.

"Well, it won't be for long. You, the descendant of the land and seas. The future successor. Soon we will become King and Queen, and we will rule the seas together." She said. Apparently she was one of his suitors in order to become King. But Sa'raia is not who Artur liked judging by her spoilt behavior.

He then smirked at her, being resistant of her playful flirting. "Let's hope I fall in battle before it happens." He retorted and swam away. Her smirk turned into a frown as his bodyguard and closest friend, Sh'Maia, a tanned-skinned Atlantean with sky-blue hair and armor holds her spear between them.

"The prince requested that you reprimand from this behavior. Otherwise you will answer to me and her highness." Sh'Maia warned. Artur nods in approval of his bodyguard. Sa'raia swam in dismay as forwarded to meet with the council. Though Artur knew he will not choose her as his future queen as he had someone else in mind.

He looks at Sh'Maia genuinely. He was forever grateful for being his friend. But perhaps there was something more to them then as prince and bodyguard. "Thank you, Sh'Maia."

"Please, there wasn't any need to thank me, my prince. After all, it is my job to look after your well-being." Sh'Maia replied. Artur chuckled. "You're right. But still, please know that I am forever grateful for being my friend than a bodyguard."

Then the two took a break as they swim freely as they talked. "How's the meeting so far?"

"Even after Kaldur'ram took me under his wing. Mother refuses to let me go to the surface to become a hero. I mean, sure my father wasn't the best king before he hand the throne to Mother. But I just wanted to prove myself that even a part-surface dweller like me cam represent Atlantis as its protector. Many pirates and poachers, too far have they increased." Artur said.

"Well, the high king is your mother after all. Cause before, she was the Queen of Atlantis. Before the birth of you, her own firstborn and descendant of Queen Atlanna, Queen Mera was the headmistress of the Conservatory of Sorcery, she would looks after her students like they were her own children. Well-mannered and patient. She and your father accepted me to be part of this city and kingdom, despite being an Amazon Hybrid." Sh'Maia explains.

"That's the thing. Many hybrids like my father were sometimes discriminated. I wanted to get to know more of my human linage. Even if some of the customs were cruel. I had been homeschooled with some surface education. So maybe I can try taking a job in Marine Biology, should I adjust into the surface. I wanted to end the conflicts between the hybrids and purists. Cause to me, the surface had some meaning to it with the seas." Artur replied. "Only problem. Overprotective mothers."to

"Speaking of the High King. We should meet with Kaldur'ram." Said Sh'Maia.

A girl around the age as the Tornado Twins appeared in a coat. She has amber eyes and brown hair that was in a boy-cut. And wears winter boots. She heard the commotion and knew that her time has come to complete the mission she was assigned to.

"Thawne here. I made it to the year 2035. The mission is proceeding." She said. But then she failed to noticed a car being thrown at her. Until she heard a honk in front of her and that's when she glanced. "Wha-?!"

Then someone swooped her away from where the car is flying at. The girl's eyes were closed as the speed of the wind made her shock. The unknown girl expected the car to crash onto her. But instead she heard a voice. "You're safe now, miss. You can open your eyes now."

The girl opened her eyes. As she blinked, she found herself in the arms of Tornado Boy. He smiled at her, as if he was putting his heroics to good use. For some reason, the speedster who saved her life gave her an awkward feeling. "Tornado Boy is the name. You might want to take the other route cause we got a La Luchadora situation."

The girl stared into his eyes. They were as green as the forest and emeralds. The girl recognized those eyes. Those eyes were the same ones she was supposed to hate. But for some reason, she cannot bring herself to kill him. The only thing she felt was comfort and safe in his arms.

"Bro! We could use a hand here!" Tornado Girl yelled while leaping backwards from a pound coming from Vengeance. Then Superboy jumps on the villainess' back to hold her from hurting anyone else. "Oh, no you don't!" He yelled, only for the female wrestler to grab the Boy of Steel's jacket and threw him over. "Ahh!"

Then Aqualad uses his water construct to create a projectile of a hammer and swing it at her face. "Enough!" He shouted and makes the blow on the cheek. Causing Vengeance to stumble backwards. And it wasn't enough to knock her down.

"Um...You can let go now." She stammered. Tornado Boy realized he was still holding onto her. "Oops, sorry. Feeling lost at the moment." Tornado Boy, though apologetic, he still winked at her. The girl blushed. But before Tornado Boy speeds off, he took one more glance at her and saluted. "Well, duty calls!" He said and then ran off.

The girl realized that he was the person she was looking for. And won't rest until he is eliminated alongside the rest of the Flash family.

"Don Allen, or rather Tornado Boy. So we finally meet. Dad said he was a threat to the future." She vowed. "Maybe we'll make history for the day I finally took out the Flash. Take that, Alexis Luthor. You can't even defeat Superman even after death." She said smirking.

From the beginning of the Golden Age, Samurais exist to shed blood. Those who failed to uphold the honor, are sentenced to death by Seppuken.

One day, there was an infant found near the river. A girl left to die. But was found by a female samurai. Althought women aren't allowed to become samurai, Reiku Horikatsu, was unlike any women.

She took in the infant and raised her as her own. Teaching her martial arts and the way of the sword. However, for some reason, the girl who is named Naomi Horikatsu, can see the aura around others.

Once she came of age, Naomi had opened a temple for young girls to train ad the next generation of samurais. But in her sleep, a flammable bird appeared in her dream. She cannot understand why the bird seeks her out.

Superboy stumbled back when Vengeance threw her fist at him. "Whoa! You're one mean, scary lady, aren't you?! Something tells me you could've tried out for WWE!" Superboy joked. Countering her another punch with his palm, using his strength to block it.

Tornado Boy then ran at her and elbowed her. Only to be caught and threw towards another empty vehicle, and Superboy was thrown at towards Tornado Boy. "Oof!" Superboy grunted.

"Ow!" Tornado Boy groaned. Then before Vengeance can make a blow with her fists clamped together on the teen boys. Tornado Girl then shouts out to distract her. "Hey, She-brute! Over here!" Tornado Girl shouted.

Vengeance wasted no time to charge at her, with an angry scream. The more she swings her fists, the more Tornado Girl dodged them with her speed. She then ran in circles to confuse the villainess.

But Vengeance took patience to look around the female speedster and caught the right moment. "Gotcha." She mumbled before pounding the ground with her bare hands, causing the ground to create cracks and caught up to Tornado Girl. Causing her to trip and roll under she fell on the street.

"Ugh!" She grunted as she hit her back on the road.

LexCorp

January 1, 2035

"On eye witness accounts. Alexander Luthor, the CEO of LexCorp, and former UN General Secretary of State has been spotted at the port of Gotham City speaking to Drug Lord, Tobias Whales after another investigation was occurred due to the disappearances of children from the sites of explosions causing fires in every apartment building they found. If found guilty, Lex could face charges of kidnapping, bribery, destruction of property, and possible murder..."

Lex is astonished to see himself on screen. The bald businessman as Lois Lane, on screen, is reporting another human trafficking scheme. But in reality, he was keeping on the down low since his exposure from the earlier revelation, including anonymous tips of his plan of kidnapping the queen of Vlatava.

Having enough hearing of this, Lex turns off the television and placed his hands over his eyes and sighs. Lena, his sister, is leaning on his desk. Disappointed.

"Well, brother, this is what you get for not keeping things closer and look where this has gotten us." Lena scolded him. Not pleased that he is now a super criminal mastermind, a title they now have him.

"That wasn't me! Someone else impersonated me and framed me to look like I was the perpetrator! Worst of all, my "partners" turned on me!"

"As I told you before, brother. Those partners of yours are nothing more than a couple of scoundrels who have you a false statement for your "bright future" until they threw you into the sea." Lena stated. "Do you have any idea how much time I spent managing your company and dealing with the media questioning about your "true nature?"

"And that you did a splendid job on handling it while I spent 5 months in prison. Yet you bailed me out, dear sister." Lex said. Lena despise the smug on his face, thinking that with his sister by his side, he would actually be the ace of the world of black and white.

"Do not boast about this, brother. Do not forget that the people will never forget for what you did to their children. And someday, the universe will bite back. I can imagine how disappointed Father must be." Lena stated as she sees more protestors demanding LexCorp to be shut down if Lex isn't going to spend maximum years in prison due to his wealth, and some of the connections he has left.

"What you're hearing about me is nothing more than fake news. I'll see you for dinner. Have those contracts ready for the proposition tomorrow." Lex then walks into the elevator. Lena nodded without a word. As Lex stared at Lena, she glared at him like the dragon she was more than him before the doors closed.

Lena then picked up the papers as her eyes turned back to feel a presence nearby. "I know you are here. You may come out." Then a white Martian appeared before her.

"Didn't expect you to know I was already here. But I'll admit this is rather fun throwing your older brother under the bus." He said. He is the one who impersonated Lex to make it looks like the fall-guy in the media. And Lena was the one who hired him. "And that you did a nice job, M'Comm. After all, Alexander was at fault for the misfortunes. You fighting for your people. Me, fighting for mine. Which is why I wanted you to be part of the society that will never again let the Light be the top of the food chain. Tell, me, would this be enough to gain membership of the Light?"

"As soon as they find a replacement. Savage might eventually chose you considering that with your brother exposed for the crimes you claimed to have committed. Once word gets out, you will have his place as CEO, officially. Than you will spread your campaign as the president of the United States. By appearing to advocate against crime. Sounds engenius."

"Well, I am just an assistant. There's no way, they would suspected me of "framing my own brother." Lena stated. "Ever the obedient sister I was, Alexander won't see it coming. And what better to run the industry than me, Lena Luthor?"

"Maybe I can help with that." Lena's eyes then blinked. She then spotted a young teen appearing 15 or 16. She has brown hair and blue eyes.

"Who are you and how did you get past security?!" Lena demanded. Then security bots showed up to point weapons at the girl, but she then uses superspeed to knock out the heads of those robots and breaking their blasters.

Lena was astonished that a speedster is in front of her. And thought she was out to harm her. "Superspeed? If you're planning to eliminate my brother, he just left." Lena remained calm.

"Actually. I am a huge fan of your work, and technician skills, Ms. Luthor." The girl said. Lena blinked. First off, she had broken into the building and wrecked her security. "I can see why your descendants will have a bright upbringing ahead.

"But where do you come from, who are you?"

"I did not came all this way to hunt you down. You see, I have a proposition for you." The girl offered.

"Just state your name and purpose."

"Thawne. Meloni Thawne. If you allow me, I'll help you get rid of your brother." Meloni then held out her hand for Lena to agree. Lena, intrigued by this, and wanting to rid the insanity her brother had put her through. She wasn't sure on whether or not to trust her, but it will have to be the way.

"For the sake of a world, free of heroism, free of villainy. You got yourself a deal."

"And what of the children? There were reports indicating that more came in to interfere." Asked the Martian.

"The children should not be involved. They're innocent of all of this. Every child and teen that came into the fray, are led to their deaths. I am not some child killer like my brother to get what I want. The only thing I hate the most is the Light. Maxwell Lord is kind enough to assist me. For Lex will pay for tarnishing the name, Luthor."

Lena then opened her communicator to speak to her secretary. "Get me a chopper, and set coordinates to Star City." M'Comm shape-shifts into a human male in a suit, in order to blend in while following Lena.

"Right away, Ma'am." Said her secretary.

Father, I can imagine how disappointed you must be in Alexander. Make no mistake that I shall avenge our family name. Once I become president of the United States. I will soon free this world. No more heroes, no more villains, no more dead children.

A crowd of students was gathering around to see a fight between Lian and an unknown boy her age. "Fight, fight, fight, fight!" She was 13 at the time. A skilled kickboxer-to-be. Her back clashed on the wall as the boy cracked his knuckles.

"Come on, Harper. Is that all you got?! You gonna cry to your Daddy?!" Lian wiped the blood off her lip as she was fed up for having been mocked, and for being a different kind of girl who is rather fierce as a dragon.

Then the beast inside her awakened for a moment as she wasn't afraid of getting into trouble. She leaps as she charged towards the boy and does a high kick across his face. Landing her to the principal's office.

Her father was called to pick her up. They say teenage rebellion is expected. But this kind of rebellion is too extreme. The boy's parents walked their son out of the office and looked at Lian with disgust. But she glared back as they just stopped. "What? He started it! Get lost!" Lian retorted. The boy was taken aback and held a napkin to his cheek as the blood kept flowing.

Since then, they called her, Lian the Brawn, or Bloodwolf. Being a girl, Lian hated being regarded as weak. Hating her mother for leaving the family. Resenting her father for keeping secrets.

Later at home, Will and Lian are having dinner. Neither of them are speaking to each other. Books and homework that Lian have to submit next week while currently in suspension from school.

"You need to apologize to the kid and his parents, Lian."

"Dad, they insulted me, and you. He got what he deserved." Lian replied. Will knew that his daughter was defending herself, but her rage is what gotten her into trouble. "Kids like him are stupid, Lian. But it doesn't mean you can just beat them up." Will adds.

"How should I know? You were never there. Every time I set foot into this school, people would look at me with contempt for having a single dad!"

"Lian, sit down and calm down!"

"Calm down?! Everyone sees me as some weak little girl! But guess what?! I am not that kid any more! You were always away at work while I have to stay with my aunt! You never talked to me about Mom! And always shut down with work as an excuse!"

"Lian, we talked about this. It's just hard with your mother gone!" Will shouted back. Hoping to get through to his daughter. But she slammed the table. "But you lied! She wasn't dead! There are no death certificates of her! You think I'm stupid or what?! Why did she left us?!" Lian yelled.

"There's a reason I have to lie in the first place!" Will reasoned. But understandably, Lian was too angry at her father for keeping secrets. "But why, Dad?!"

"I...I can't tell you." Will replied. That response was the last straw for Lian to storm out, prompting her to run away. Will tried to call her back. "Lian, don't you walk out! Lian!" But to no avail when Lian shuts the door behind her and ran away.

In Hyde Park, where she is somewhat familiar to, Lian sat on the bench, wanting to get away from the lies she had been told. Her entire family having to keep secrets and were in all of it. Tears streamed from her eyes. Mixed of anger and despair. She doesn't want to live in all of the lies anymore and wanted to disappear from the city and start anew.

"Lian?" A voice called, but she did not want to respond to that. Then here it is again. "Lian?" It sounded like a kid calling her name. "Go, away!" She shouted while wiping her own tears. Then a young, blonde girl surprised her. "Lian!" A 9-year-old girl appeared next to her doing a handstand on the top of the bench. Causing Lian to fell off. "Ah! Oof!"

Lian shook her head and saw who it was. It was Olivia Queen. "Libby? What are you doing here?" She asked.

"I'm just tired of being surrounded by security and deciding to take a walk." Olivia responded before acrobatically jumping off the bench and helped Lian off the ground. "Then I saw you feeling down. What's wrong?" She asked.

"None of your business." She groaned, tired and sad. Having been lied to was bad enough, but having anyone else involved was too much. But Libby snickered. "Come on, Li. I knew you would need to tell me. Just like I would tell you what I cannot tell my Daddy. Or do you want me to tell him for where we're at to pick us up and go back home?"

Libby used this opportunity for Lian to spill. With that, the girl who is 4 years older than her, relent. "How did you do it, Libby?"

"Do what?"

"How do you still have both parents? And lived in this world of mystery?" Asked Lian. The two girls took a moment to sit on the bench while relaxing.

Lois Lane, a reporter whose life was out at risk due to her determination to cover the most sky high story of the century. Looking at her watch while working on typing a story. "Does the world still need heroes today? Lex's cover ups still in progress? No, that doesn't seem right?"

Lois sighs, looking at her family photo with her husband Clark, and their son, Jonny. Looking at her watch again, waiting for her son to come home. She tried calling him, no response. "Jonny, where are you?" Lois groaned.

Then comes a knock at her door. Lois made sure she has a camera in case any enemies tried to locate her home. Through her monitors, thankfully it was just Kathy, whom she known since her son's childhood.

Lois came up to the front door and opened it with Kathy standing outside with his homework on her hands. "Hi, Ms. Lane." She said.

"Hi, Kathy. How are you today?" Lois greets her.

"Sorry for the sudden visit. But Jonny left his homework at school." Lois felt a shock she never knew she had felt. It was as if something isn't right. "Jonny? Is he okay? I could've sworn he was at a friend's home to work on a project." Lois confirmed.

Kathy blinked, she knew Jonny was up to something. "That's weird. Jonny left because he got sick, was it?" Asked Kathy. Lois' eyes widened to hear what her son was up to. Kathy looks at her with concern. "Ms. Lane? Are you okay?" Asked Kathy.

"Well, I..." Lois is cut when the GBS news reporter, Cat Grant is speaking.

"This is Cat Grant reporting on air above Star City for GBS. After reports of explosions in each apartments. Here we have come across a battle for what appears to be new heroes fighting against a wrestling-like villainess who calls herself, Vengeance. It had been years since the Justice League disbanded. But it did not diminish the hope within the young. Can this be a new era of heroes emerging from the suspense?"

The news on the television showed a young boy with raven hair, and Lois is shocked to see the outfit he is wearing. The jacket he had gotten on his birthday with the "S" symbol on the back.

That jacket. It looks like the won Jonny got on his birthday. Wait a minute, Jonny? You did not...

Lois' thoughts felt like screaming in her head. But she suppressed the urge in order to get the chopper and get her son out of harm's way. Kathy is just as confused as anyone else. But put two and two together as she figured it was Jonny on the screen.

I knew it. Jonny is...

"I'm sorry, Kathy. Can it wait tomorrow? I got to make a phone call. And if Jonny shows up, I'll be sure to give him his homework." Lois said.

"Thanks, Ms. Lane. I'll see you tomorrow." Kathy waved as she left. Lois then closed the door to make a phone call to a family member she can trust. As soon as she dialed the number, Lois holds up her phone to her ear. "Lucy, get me a chopper. I need to get to Star City. My son is out there. Look at the channel of GBS. Okay, I'll see you there." Lois hung up.

Then she went to her office. Lois looked through her photographs and sketches, and reports of the mysterious new villain nobody kept quiet about. But the identity of the newcomer villain is unknown. "Who are you, Jakal?" Lois asked herself.

Lian is at a stance between Syonide and the new opponent. Although she is outnumbered. Lian wasn't about to quit yet. Not ever she cannot.

"Give it up, kid! You cannot escale the 100!" Syonide exclaimed. Whipping her whip at Lian as she dodged it again. Then Joseph burst the door opened in the rooftop and holds a gun meant for defense. "Hey, leave her alone!"

For some reason, Grant wasn't here to witness the chaos around them. But before he can give a warning shot (due to his pacifist nature, and would rather miss), Syonide uses her whip to cut the gun in half. Causing Joseph stumble back.

Syonide then swings her whip at Joseph. Lian rushed in to tackle him to safety. "Joey look out!" Lian cried. Both landed on the floor. Lian rose her head up as she realized she was on top of his chest. "Sorry." She said before getting up. Lian then readies her sword again. "Get ready to run!" Lian ordered.

"What about you?!" Joseph said, not willing to leave his friend at the midst of danger. Lian did not look back. "I'll be fine! Go!" She repeated.

To be continued...

Author's note: The reason why Joseph had the gun in the first place was because it was owned by Grant in the first place. Also, Lois now noticed her son getting into the heroics without her knowledge. Though he never liked guns, he would only used it to scare away intruders.

Lex is now being sabotaged by his own sister, who now wanted revenge for making a scapegoat out of her. With help from the mysterious speedster who encountered the Tornado Boy in Star City.

The new Antagonists of the Titans Volume 1 is called the Jakal. A mysterious villain who is known as the eradicator of villains in the name of vengeance.
