His Muse

The WOOHP hallways were dark now lit only by a few, dim corridor lights. Which was not surprising at all seeing the time that it was. Moving quickly in her white high heels Sam's eyes kept flicking past the names on the office doors as she walked along looking for her husband's name.

He should be home by now but she knew he was still stuck working on the developmental weapons project Jerry had asked him to give his input on. Something about needing new gadgets to combat the never-ending onslaught of villains that WOOHP faced which seeing Tim's past background as having had once been the head of WOOHP's weapons department made him a perfect choice for. So of course when asked if he could do it, Tim had agreed to help out despite already going on missions full time.

But there was a limit to how much time he should be spending at WOOHP and this was just way too much. They had just gotten back from their honeymoon and despite them being back to their "real lives now" and the honeymoon being "over", she needed some time with her husband. Both of them being WOOHP employees should not mean that their jobs as agents should take up all their time. Especially during the nights when missions were a lot less likely to happen.

She had been waiting for him to come home for hours now, a frustrating pattern that had developed ever since this project had begun. And finally after having him answer all her calls to him with a dismissive "be there soon darling" her patience had reached its end and she had finally decided to come get him herself knowing she would be a lot more difficult to shoo her away in person than on the phone.

Her eyes lighting up when she located his office, Sam put a dazzling smile on her lips before running her fingers through her hair and smoothening out her formfitting, mid-thigh, white dress before turning the handle and sticking her head inside to see if he was there.

Sure enough he was. His back was to her but she could see how he was hard at work. His posture looked tense and alert as he focused on the task in front of him. In the large bay windrow across from where he sat she could see a dim reflection of his handsome face in the glass. His lips were pressed together in a thin line, his eyebrows were furrowed in concentration while his eyes were busy reading away the words in the file that was open before him.

Eyes that she wanted on her. But she could tell that coming home right now was the last thing on his mind. Well she was just going to have to change that, wasn't she?

Standing there for a moment longer she wondered if he had even noticed his door open just now. But seeing how he hadn't stirred at all she figured he hadn't. No he was much too caught up in his work. Which gave her an idea on how to announce her entrance.

Saying nothing she slowly and quietly tiptoed towards him. When she got to him undetected, she bent down and wrapped her arms around his shoulders from behind before kissing his cheek "Hey you," she mumbled against his face sweetly holding him close to her.

"Hey," she heard him say as he greeted her back by slightly turning his head towards her and planting a quick peck against her lips before turning back to his files.

Watching him do that, go right back to his work within seconds despite her holding onto him still in a desperate attempt to keep his attention on her where it should be, Sam couldn't help but let out a long sigh. She waited for him to catch onto her exasperation for a moment and the another before deciding to just say what was on her mind because she couldn't take it any longer and as smart as he was, he wasn't picking up the obvious.

"Baby…" she started slowly running her hand down the length of his arm before resting her chin on his strong shoulder and pouting into it. "I know you're a workaholic and all, but shouldn't you be done for the day?"

"Not 10:30 yet," Was all he said shortly before turning over the page in his hands and skimming over the words written there without even so much as glancing at her face.

Another sigh left her as she lifted herself off of him and moved to lean against his desk right in front of him so that he couldn't ignore her. "Actually…." she said gripping the edge of the paper now hiding his face from her and pulling it down to force him to look at her again. "It's just past midnight."

She watched him freeze the second she said that before he glanced at his watch to confirm leaving her to shake her head a little and smile in an amused manner. If it wasn't way late like she was telling him it was, why else had she come looking for him?

"Wow…" he breathed out, sounding shocked once he saw the time with his own two eyes. Running a hand back through his hair and slightly messing it up in a way that it adorably resembled how it looked when he rolled out of bed in the morning, he let out a small chuckle and shrugged his broad shoulders. "I guess I lost track of time."

Blushing a little at how sexy his little laugh had been just now, Sam had to count to ten inside her head to regain her composure. If only, if only they were home right now … the things she would be doing to him.

Clearing her throat to focus she gave him a stern look. "So much so that you forgot that you have a wife to come home to, huh?" she asked poking him in the chest with the French manicured nail of her index finger.

He laughed again before answering her with a tired looking smile. "I've been busy, love." Cocking his head towards his desk he directed her attention to what he had been working so hard on. Picking up the file Sam opened it and looked inside. And when she did her eyes widened and her jaw slightly fell open in awe at what she found.

It wasn't a rough, concept sketch as she had expected but an actual full on schematic for a brand new gadget. And as she leafed through it slowly she found another one and then another, and another for a total of five new weapons.

"Did you just make these?!" she asked, stunned when he shook his head to answer her yes and said that he was just looking over them one final time now before sending them off to Jerry to approve and then send into production if he thought everything was okay with them.

"Wow…" was all she was able to comment as she kept staring at everything he had managed to pull off in such little time. Jerry had only assigned him this task just three days ago and he had already gotten so much done. "You work fast!"

"Yes I do," he nodded back at her smirking as he leaned back in his chair a bit and rolled back his tired shoulders. His eyes lit up a little as the smirk on his lips turned into a small smile of joy while he took in the completely blown away look on his wife's face at his abilities. Something he found beyond adorable.

If only she knew how much of a part she played when it came to him reaching his full potential. He had a feeling that she didn't. His eyes roaming her exquisite form the smile on his lips shuffled back into a smirk as he spoke again. But this smirk was more playful than egotistical as it had been before.

"Though I have to say…I have been inspired more than usual as of late."

His comment piquing her interest, Sam looked up at her husband's face. The look on it - one of pure hunger and thirst as he stared at her with his gorgeous sea green orbs slightly hazy and fixed on her unblinkingly while he smirked that infamous smirk of his, the same that always silently urged her to kiss it off his face - made butterflies buzz around in her belly and she wondered if she had accurately guessed where he was going with this especially seeing that they were all alone right now.

Leaning closer with a small grin on her face and a lovey dovey look in her eyes, she was just about to ask him the reason why when suddenly someone walked into the room and stopped her short.

Pulling back she whipped her head around in the direction of the person who had interrupted them and her eyes narrowed when she saw that it as someone that she did not recognize. A woman who looked to be around her age or at most just a few years older. A woman who was staring at Tim.

Instantly her smile vanished as she felt a sinking feeling in her gut. Who was this woman and why was she waltzing around in her husband's office after dark when nearly everyone else had gone home?

She kept staring at her wanting answers. The woman wore a WOOHP ID tag which made it clear that she was another agent. Sam also could not help but notice much to her annoyance that from her neat, professional look and with her lean body shape, light skin, caramel colour eyes and blonde hair that she was also kind of pretty. And she was sure that to a man's eyes … she would only be prettier.

"This is Gina, my partner." she heard Tim say and she stiffened on the spot at his words. His partner? His … partner?! Ignoring the girl she turned to look at him with a confused and almost hurt expression on her face.

"…I thought I was your partner," she said, unable to keep the defensive edge out of her voice as she thought about what this meant. Jerry had better had not randomly decided to break Tim and her up and assign them to separate partners. He had mentioned when they had requested to be placed on the same team unit for missions that he didn't quite fancy the idea of couples working together as they often tended to lack quote, " the focus" that platonic spy groups had because they were too distracted by one another.

They had of course fast proven that they could work together as professionals despite being in love and Jerry had let them be. But perhaps he thought that now they were married and thus more intimate than ever, that maybe he couldn't trust them to just be partners anymore.

"Gina's my partner for this project," she heard him explain and she relaxed a little bit but instantly became on edge the moment that Gina came closer to where she stood. Which just so happened to result in Gina coming closer to where her husband stood as well.

"So you are his mission partner!" Sam heard her say perkily as she held out her hand for her to shake. A little too perkily. And already she didn't like this woman at all and wanted her gone.

"And life," Tim quipped from next to her and she couldn't help but calm again and smile when she felt him wrap his arm around her shoulders and pull her a little closer towards him as he said, "This is Samantha, my lovely wife. I don't believe you two have met before."

Looking at her now he smiled harder. "Darling, Gina was in Italy on an important solo project when we got married. Or else she would have attended for sure." Looking back at Gina, Tim smirked. "Seeing that Jerry did make us invite all of WOOHP to our wedding and all."

Gina let out a small laugh in reaction to his words and to Sam's ears the sound was like nails violently scraping down against a chalkboard surface. But her husband seemed to like her laughter just fine. From the corner of her eye she watched Tim smile in response to Gina's giggle and she didn't like that. Didn't like it one bit.

"So you're the lucky lady he married!" Sam had to bite her cheek hard not to cringe when she heard Gina speaking again. "It's so nice to finally meet you!" she said smiling and holding out her hand still in front of Sam because she still had yet to shake it.

"Likewise," Sam nodded as she stiffly took her hand, trying to be civil and not make her dislike of this girl too overtly obvious to prevent things from getting too awkward in case Gina wasn't interested in her husband that way and was just one of those women who just happened to seem like a "husband stealer" without any intent to be as such. Even though she highly doubted her innocence.

"So what exactly do you do?" Sam asked cutting right to the chase and taking a small, subconscious step to be even closer to Tim, her posture tense like a lioness about to pounce as she reached out and rested a hand on his shoulder as a silent way of telling the woman in front of her that he was hers and to back off from her territory in case she was getting silly ideas in that bimbo head of hers to try and trounce into it.

"Oh!" Gina exclaimed before explaining quickly. "I'm part of the weapons design team. Jerry paired me up with Tim to try and come up with some new gadgets."

"Of course he did," Sam thought annoyed. She could kick Jerry right now. Of all the people he could have chosen to pair up with her Tim it just had to be a girl. A smart girl seeing the branch of WOOHP that she was in and of course with the icing on the cake being that she shared a similar career background to Tim himself which would also naturally make her his "type".

"He figured Tim could use a hand," Gina prattled on not noticing Sam's venomous look that was aimed directly at her. "Someone to bounce ideas off of and such but honestly…" she suddenly paused and then Sam caught her now staring at Tim with a look of clear admiration on her face. 'He's been doing all the work," she continued only to be cut off by Tim.

"Oh don't be do darn modest. You've contributed plenty." And at that Sam felt her eye twitch. And the twitching only got harder as she continued to listen to their back and forth exchange:

" Not that you needed any more ideas. You already have so many!"

"Come on, I wouldn't have come up with that modification on The Bond on my own. That was your idea."

"Yea okay so I came up with one idea in what? Five gadgets?"

A chuckle from Tim.

"What a huge contribution, right? I mean I'm totallyyyyyyy pulling my weight here!"

Another chuckle from Tim.

And then a giggle from Gina.

"I just have to say that I have done many partner projects but you are by far the best partner I have ever had. I'm just glad that Jerry handpicked me to work with you out of all the other contenders."

Having had enough by now Sam could only roll her eyes as she waited for this to conversation to finally end. But as she did that she couldn't help but notice how that it wasn't just the talk between them that was bothering her, it was also their level of comfort around one another.

There was this woman who she was convinced by now was clearly coming onto him (which he would seriously have to blind not to notice that that was just what she was doing batting her eyes like that and biting her lip seductively and looking at him endlessly as if he were a five course meal made up of her all time favourite foods) and he was doing nothing whatsoever to discourage her at all.

No he seemed quite content having Gina kiss his ass and somewhere inside her she felt a nagging feeling that she didn't want to feel. That perhaps it wasn't work but rather Gina who had kept him from coming home tonight. Tonight and the last two nights. And maybe it was her who he had been thinking of when he had been talking about being more "inspired" as of late.

Frowning now and feeling dejected Sam was just about to turn around and leave, figuring that Tim was so caught up in his new muse that he likely wouldn't even notice that she'd gone. But before she could do that she saw Gina walk towards the door first and walk out after saying that she was going to go talk to Jerry to update him on what they had so far and then go work down in the weapons lab for a while and for Tim to ring her up if he needed her for anything else before finally leaving her and her husband alone.

And Sam stood there for a long moment wondering if she too should just leave because she was too angry now to be around Tim but as she moved to take a step away she heard his voice from behind her asking her where she was going. And then before she could stop herself she found herself quietly muttering out that which she was trying her hardest not to let slip out.

"I guess I can see what or rather who has you so inspired."

"…What?" Sam heard him say and she spun around on her heel to reply to him with a short "nothing" and a dismissive shake of her head as she moved to leave again. But once again his voice stopped her.

"Oh it was something alright," Tim said now looking at her pointedly as if expecting her to spill what she was trying to imply. And she could tell by the small frown on his lips that he already had some idea so she decided to just say it not wanting to beat around the bush.

What was the point anyway? After all he hadn't exactly been subtle interacting with Gina in front of her had he? So why then should she hide how it made her feel?

"I can just tell that you and…" she paused almost gritting her teeth when she said her name. "Gina, work really well together."

Crossing his arms over his chest Tim looked at her with a raised eyebrow now. "Yes we do. Of course that can't be the reason why Jerry made us partners in the first place or anything."

Not caring at all for the sarcasm in his tone Sam continued boldly wanting to make her point. "Yea and you two seem to like each other too. You know…" She shrugged glaring at him a little now unable to bottle up her rage any longer. "Enjoy working together. With all the compliments you were tossing back at each oth-"

"We make a good team, yes." He cut her off still wondering if Sam was really going where he thought she was going with this rant about Gina. "She's relatively easy to work with-"

"Oh I could tell she was easy!" Sam suddenly said leaving him to freeze in shock a little. And if he had any remaining doubts as to what had ruffled his wife's feathers, they had just been thrown out the window with those last words of hers.

"… Excuse me?" he whispered, having heard what she'd said but still in disbelief that she had actually said it. She didn't honestly think there was anything going on between Gina and him did she? That he had any sort of interest in her outside of work? She had to know better than that.

But when Sam spoke again she didn't seem to know any better as he'd hoped. "Nothing," she almost growled only looking more agitated. Trying to calm herself she took her eyes off her husband's face and inspected her nails instead as she tried to look nonchalant. "You know, easy going. Fun to be around. More interesting to be partnered with than say another man."

Tim's eyebrows shot to the roof with those words and he just stared at her silently not believing his own ears. But there was no denying it now, it was clear as day what was ticking her off. His dear wife, his beloved Samantha …was jealous of Gina.

"Anyway…" she said coldly before putting down her hand and fixing him with a stern look that could cut easily slice diamonds in half. "I should go and leave you to your work or you may never come home tonight."

With those words she almost stomped away from him but he stopped her by coolly hitting a button on his desktop console and locking the door.

Watching her tug and pull on the door handle while muttering under her breath, a clear sign off how angered she was right now, he couldn't help but chuckle to himself a little at just how cute his missus was. He honestly couldn't believe her. She really did, she really did think that he had his eye on Gina. Which to him was downright hilarious and illogical for her to think because she must be forgetting two key realities to come to such a convoluted conclusion.

One: he was already a married man. And two: that was married to a woman like her. Married to pure perfection. Why then would he have any need or desire for another woman? Did she really think so little of herself to make herself believe that he could want another while already having her? Clearly she didn't see herself in the same way that he saw her.

Well then, he was just going to have to give her self esteem a little boost and show her exactly where his affections lay. And that was firmly with her. Her and no other.

Wordlessly he snuck up behind his wife was who still trying to get the door open and run away from him and calmly placed his head in the crook of her neck before whispering to her. "Do you have anyyyyy idea how cute you are when you're being all jealous and possessive Sammie?" he asked teasingly.

He felt her tense up against him before she let out an infuriated sound that was a cross between a roar and a growl and shot him a sidelong glare. "I am not jealous." She paused, only looking more pissed off before spitting out, "Or possessive."

At that he just chuckled thoroughly amused by her antics. "Sure you aren't," he said as his hands reached out and grabbed her waist before using it to turn her around to face him.

And when he had her looking at him he gave her a knowing look. "The way you were looking at Gina the whole time totally wasn't the perfect example of the words if looks could kill in action," he said knowing that if he could somehow devise a gadget based off of Sam's death glare that would really be a weapon capable of an instant kill.

He watched her look down to try and avert his gaze and the look on her face bothered him. She looked so darn wounded right now and as sweet as he found it that it took so little of him being even so much as around another woman for her claws to come out lashing, he knew he didn't want her to be upset. Which she clearly was right now and he hated that.

Raising her chin with his index finger and forcing her to lock eyes with him even though she was trying so hard not to, he spoke to her with nothing but honesty in his voice as he tried to placate her. "You have no reason to be jealous of Gina."

"Really?" Sam asked all the while giving him a pointed look that showed him that she didn't buy his words at all.

Sighing he realized he was going to have to try harder to get through to her. "Really," he said firmly wanting her to stop doubting him.

But Sam just sucked in her breath and closed her eyes for a moment looking deep in thought before she spoke again still clearly incensed. "So she has nothing to do with how you've been tackling this weapons project so well?"

"Nothing whatsoever," she heard him say earnestly and she rolled her eyes still in denial because she could see how well he and Gina connected with one another. He couldn't fool her. "Uh huh, sure. Then what else inspired you to-"

"I was thinking of you."

"…"

Sam's breath caught in her throat as she fell speechless. And watching her standing there staring at him with wide eyes and her jaw slightly parted in surprise Tim couldn't help but smile at her innocence. Didn't she get him by now? She was the only person in his life. The love of his life. She was his whole entire world. Who else could possibly be his inspiration but her?

"I… I don't believe you," Sam mumbled out a moment later rendering him silent this time. He could just stare at her almost bewildered now at the fact that she wasn't taking him seriously. Why wasn't she? And then she answered that question for him.

"I mean … I don't even see a picture of me around here…" she muttered glumly, pouting a little. "Why would I ever even cross your mind while you work?"

Fortunately he knew just what to say to that. "Only because I didn't think that you'd want me to put up a picture of you depicting you in the way that I think of you for everyone else to see," he smirked leaving his wife to blush a dark, beet red and gasp sharply.

But when he started laughing at her adorable reaction to his vulgar remark towards her she let out a loud huff and looked away from him haughtily still clearly not fully persuaded.

Figuring out by now that words were just not cutting it he decided on a much better and much more "him" of a way to get through to his Samantha. As a smart man he definitely knew when to shut up and if there ever was a time to do that and take another approach, it was right now.

"Okay, I'll prove it," he said calmly, not revealing his intentions to her just yet, waiting for her to take the bait he'd laid. And then she did.

"How?" She snapped immediately with a pout on her face and her hands on her hips, and a challenge written in her emerald eyes as she looked even more beautiful to him than she already was in her current state of fury, unknowingly alluring him as she looked back at him unrelentingly daring him to do it. To prove her wrong.

And he seized his chance.

Before she could even say another word he pulled her to him and kissed her fervently. She let out a surprised sound and for a moment he felt her squirm a little and try to push him away. But he didn't give up and simply kept kissing her feverishly over and over without mercy, holding her tightly, pulling her flush against him until there was no space to speak of between their bodies and all that could be heard was the pounding of their hearts beating together in thunderous rhythm.

Soon enough her struggles to break free from his grasp weakened and he felt her melt in his arms as she let out a satisfied moan from the pit of her throat and finally returned his kiss, even slowly wrapping her arms around his neck when she felt him move to pick her up giving him the unspoken permission to let him carry her.

Still kissing her deeply he sat her down on top of his desk before his hands moved and pushed the edge her dress up her ivory thighs to gain access to her lace underwear. And when he pulled it down at the same time he felt her arms untangle from around his neck and trace down his chest reaching for his belt and hastily unbuckling it.

His hands moved to her hair next and he ran his fingers through her long, lustrous tresses before moving it out of the way to locate the zipper of her dress. He tugged it downwards pausing to unclasp the hooks of her bra before continuing with her zipper and undressing her quickly, exposing more and more of her flesh to his eager eyes while Sam did away with his tie and suit jacket before proceeding to snap open all the buttons of his shirt.

It didn't take much longer for all their clothes to be tossed messily aside. And when he felt her grab his shoulders and pull him down demandingly towards her tempting figure as she lay back ready for him, he didn't hesitate for a second to give her what he knew she wanted from him.

Panting heavily Sam bit her lower lip as she lay there still feeling the waves of pleasure and satisfaction coursing through her body from Tim and her recent activity. Raising her arms up slowly towards the ceiling she stretched them out while smiling to herself as a contented sigh escaped her now swollen lips and she remained in her blissful thoughts.

And while it had been wonderful to say the least, she wasn't sure how it proved to her his point about her and not Gina being his inspiration. So she wondered to herself if he had just made love to her to silence her. Which seeing that he'd once again left her absolutely breathless meant that had that truly been his plan of attack, then it had worked wonderfully.

Blushing at that thought she pondered if she should just let this squabble with him over Gina go. Clearly his desire for her was still firmly in place which meant that she had no real reason to worry but…

Turning her head to look for her husband Sam was surprised to see him sitting in his chair with a look of keen concentration on his face, pen in hand as he wrote something down his file. And she couldn't believe that he had just gone back to work right after what they had just done in here.

"How can he even focus?!" she thought to herself as she looked for her clothes but settled on wearing his shirt which he hadn't put back on yet because she was just dying to know just what he was working on right now.

Pulling it on and buttoning it up enough to look halfway decent she swung her legs over the side of the desk and stood up while biting her lower lip to contain the need to let out a mewl at the blissful soreness she felt in certain unmentionable parts of her body before taking the two steps she needed to reach her husband.

"What are you doing?" she asked but he remained quiet. She waited for a moment and then another but he said nothing as he continued to scribble away in silence. Too curious to wait for a reply any longer Sam reached out and took the file from his hands and looked for her herself.

And when she did her eyes bulged in shock for there was not one, but plans for two more new gadgets that had not been there before. Speechless, it took her a full minute to find her missing voice. "Did you just-"

"Mmhmm," he replied and she just stood there frozen in astonishment not even knowing what to say.

And he took that in for a long moment, relishing and enjoying it with an open smirk of victory on his lips before he arrogantly stated, "This should be proof beyond doubt of who inspires me."

Was it ever, she thought blushing softly. Looking down at her bare feet she shuffled her toes a little feeling bad for ever doubting him. She had to make it up to him now, it was only fair. But thankfully she knew just how to do that.

"Well it's a start…" she started slowly. "But to fully convince me…" she said as she placed the file down before leisurely climbing onto his lap, straddling him by placing her knees on either side of his legs and wrapping her arms around his neck as she played with his hair.

"You might need to prove it a few more times," she grinned.

He let out a long sigh but she could tell that it was a fake one when she felt how one of his hands had already slipped under the shirt she wore while his other hand traced up and down her thigh as he responded with a small tsk and the words, "Well if that's what it'll take to assure you … I guess I don't really have a choice, do I?"

"No, no you don't," she said grinning harder only to be shut up immediately by his lips capturing hers passionately as he pushed her back onto his desk and his body covered hers once more.
