(The scene first shows the "Walt Disney Pictures" logo, complete with the castle shot, and the fireworks accompanying it. Then, the scene faded to black before showing the "Walt Disney Animation Studios" logo, and finally, the "Disney Channel Original Movie" logo. Then, the real story begins on Saturday, May 15th, beginning with an exterior shot of the "Statue of Liberty", followed by a skyline of New York City's Times Square area, showing a typical NYC morning as the sun rises up over the distance horizon at 6:55 am, as well as a few pigeons flying through the air or landing on telephone poles and wires.)

(The film's title, "Lilo and Stitch's Cousin Summer Adventure" appears, and then disappears. The scene then showed various angles and shots of either citizens getting up from bed in either private homes, apartments, or hotel rooms, people in restaurants or at home eating breakfast, pedestrians walking down the hundreds of sidewalks within upper and lower Manhattan, hundreds of people boarding and getting off of various subway trains at stations as they arrive at said multiple stations throughout the city, people driving through the cars of rush-hour morning traffic to get to work where they're needed, tourists taking photos all over the city, character performers posing with tourists in photos for tips, and so much more...)

Gio Pelekai (voiceover): Home...a word that is defined by the definition, "The place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household.". Everyone has a home. And boy, are there plenty and various types of homes in this world. From mud huts in the Amazon jungle, to trailers in RV parks in the Midwest part of the United States, and even for the less fortunate, homeless shelters. Each of us has a special place to call home, and usually, we are very grateful for it, with, of course, the exception of entitled or spoiled teens...but, that is for another story. You see, this story is about me and how I learned that a home...well, isn't just a place you are used to, but also a place where you stay temporarily for a short or long length of time. You see, I was very close-minded when this summer adventure of mine began. How this story begin? Well, you'll find out soon enough! But first, allow me to set the scene of that faithful day...

(The scene then faded to the inside of a large bedroom inside of a luxurious bedroom apartment. This bedroom had a large bed in the middle, a storage chest at the end of said bed, a bedside table with a lamp and plugged-in cellphone, a large wooden desk with a table lamp and laptop computer on it, a black leather swivel chair, a wooden clothing and bedroom supply closed with a wooden door, a few wall shelves with assembled models made of both plastic and Legos, a ceiling fan light fixture fixed to the center of the room's ceiling, a large 90-inch flat screen TV with a cable box, an entertainment system cabinet/table, and a large 6-drawer wooden dresser drawer. Gio Pelekai is seen asleep in his bed, not snoring, but asleep nonetheless...)

Gio Pelekai (voiceover): This is me...my name is Gio Pelekai. My home is New York City, a place where tourists from all over the world flock to visit every year. We got it all, yes. We got Broadway musicals, we got the Statue of Liberty, we have various restaurants, we got Grand Central Station and the JFK Airport, we got the Museum of Science and Natural History, we got Central Park with Tavern on The Green, and of course, we got the tall buildings that are all over the place.

Basically, New York City has it all. And me? Well, this, like I said, is my home. I live in a tall skyscraper building made up of 100 floors. Of course, I live in a penthouse apartment on the 100th floor, and it has everything I could ever want...running water, electricity, heating and cooling, food, and of course, my family. My mother is named Angela and she is a Broadway producer, and my father is named Robert and his job is a high-rated prosecutor lawyer. And this moment here, is where this story begins. You see, that day was Saturday, May 15th, my 15th birthday. It was 2006, I was finishing up my freshman year of high school, and my last day of school was on May 31st. June 1st through September 10th was my school's summer vacation period...

(The scene cuts to Gio's phone clock changing from 6:59am to 7:00am, and then, "BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!", the phone's alarm going off, waking him up. Gio's eyes opened, and he woke up, sitting up in bed, and removing the covers from himself. He then sits at the edge of the bed, rubs his eyes, and steps out of the bed, reveling his white shirt and long black pajama pants he wears while sleeping. Gio then proceeds to make the bed, before going into his bathroom. He then exits his bathroom after using the toilet and weighing himself on his electric scale (He comes out to be 123 pounds), and then opens the door to his bedroom and steps outside into his apartment hallway...)

Gio (yawns): What a day yesterday. A math test, a history test, and a science test all in one day! (sighs) Well, at least today is my 15th birthday!

Robert: Hey, kiddo! Happy birthday! Guess what Mom is making for breakfast? (Ruffles Gio's hair while grinning lightly)

Gio: Pancakes?

Robert: Not just pancakes, but a combo of chocolate chip, blueberry, and cinnamon! And afterwards, we got a big surprise for you, Gio. (Smiling softly)

Gio (hugs Robert): Oh, dad, perfect! (enters dining room and sees Angela placing the 3 types of pancakes on the table): Good morning, mom!

Angela: Good morning, Gio. Happy birthday to you! Do you want milk to go along with your special birthday breakfast? (Setting down the bottle of syrup while turning to head to the refrigerator.)

Gio: Sure! (Sits down at the table) Thanks for everything, mom! And not to mention, summer is almost here! Come June 1st, city-wide fun for all of us!

Angela: (Grabs milk out of the refrigerator) You're welcome, Gio. (Glances at Robert who shrugs with a gesture) How about a vacation once summer comes?

Gio: Oh, a vacation? (nods) Sounds like a good idea! Hey, let's all go to Orlando. No, wait, Los Angeles or San Francisco! Or...wait...Hawaii!

Angela: (Looks at Robert before looking back at Gio) The truth is that you are going to Hawaii on your own. Do you remember your cousins, Nani and Lilo?

Gio: Uh...no? I know NOTHING about them...Why do you ask?

Robert: (Shakes his head and sighs) Ah, I should know. You were too young to remember. Lilo was just a baby back then, and Nani was a kid. You were a toddler at the time. Well, anyhow, Nani called us about certain things. Do you remember Mom crying last year?

Gio: Huh? Oh, yeah..but...why did she cry?

Angela: (Stifles sob as tears came) I wasn't a only sibling. I had a sister, her name was Marina. She used to live here on the mainland, but after high school, she went to college in Hawaii, met her husband, Kai there, and had your cousins, Nani and Lilo. We went there years ago when you were a toddler, to have a family reunion of sorts, and you had tons of fun there, loving the sea much as Nani did, and telling stories to Lilo...

We had to come back to our jobs and such, and we tried to keep in touch as much as we could, sending letters and doing overseas phone calls. Marina truly found her home in Hawaii, and I didn't mind as long as she's happy. Then that call came...Gods, hearing Nani crying on the phone...It was a car crash...in the rain, to make it worse...Marina and Kai didn't survive...Nani and Lilo was left alone...

(Sighs heavily) I tried to sent support money and such, but Nani refused, being so stubborn, but being barely 17, it was difficult for her and Lilo, saying things that Lilo has been disobeying her at times, having to decline college offers of all things, and working two jobs on and off, and struggling to have ends.

(Nods lightly in thought with a weak, relieved smile) Then there was a call months later, saying that Nani finally gave in to receive much needed help from new friends, that Lilo stopped disobeying her, through gets into trouble once a while with her new dog, and that the house has gotten a makeover. And now since things are getting settled, Nani thought she'd like to reunite with us again, but unfortunately, we couldn't.

Gio: And...what does that have to do with me?

Robert: (Hugs Angela in comfort as she wipes her tears away, kissing her on the forehead before looking at Gio) I have a big case, and I can't afford to go on vacation as it's very important for me, and as for Mom here, turns out that she has to fine-tune a new Broadway show that the president has approved yesterday. But you have no plans this summer as we know so far, and Hawaii would be perfect for you. You have been working hard this year, and as we realize that you are going to be a sophomore next school year, that will be even harder for you. Hawaii can be your big break, for you to relax, have fun, and perhaps learn some lessons of balancing life among other things.

Gio: Wait...are you saying...?

Angela: (Nods lightly with a sheepish smile) You're going to Hawaii the day after school's done. It's all arranged, the ticket, the plane trip, all of it.

Gio (gasps): No!

Robert: (Gives him a sharp glare) No, what? Gio, we put money into this trip for you, and if you refuse to go, we are wasting the money. This is one in a chance opportunity, Gio, and that's final!

Angela: (Nods) Nani and Lilo has been preparing to see you, Gio, and they need to know that they aren't alone. After all, it's ohana.

Gio: Dad, you don't understand! If they can't afford to make ends meet, how will they be able to take me to local attractions? Museums? Tours? Events? That all cost money!

Robert: (Nods lightly) They offered the room and occasional rides, but the rest of that, that's our money. You are to have a unlimited debit card for the summer, and that's your birthday gift.

Angela: That's right, and Nani has enough on her plate for she is already taking care of Lilo, the family dog, and two new friends who came from Canada. (Shrugs indifferently)

Robert: And I sent Nani 10000 dollars.

Gio: 10,000?! For real?!

Angela: That's why we were working so hard all this year so we can save that and send to Nani. She and the others are covered, and if anything goes wrong, it's up to you to help them. They're your ohana, and ohana means family which means nobody gets left behind or forgotten...(A tear escapes from her) Marina adopted the saying from Kai, and I would feel better if I know they're safe as they are my nieces, my sister's children!

Robert: (Nods in agreement) So, Gio, you have to go on this vacation, meet them, get to know them, alright?

Gio: I just hope I don't have to work. Because when I want to go to Hawaii, I just want to have fun, and just keep my room and bathroom clean.

Angela: (Smiles reassuringly) That's fine with us. Just help out when you can. After all, with you there, that makes six people counting the dog, it will be quite busy.

Gio: Dog?

Robert: (Nods) Lilo adopted him from the local animal shelter. He's a mixed breed, I think. Something about half German shepherd and half Bluetick Coonhound. His name is Stitch. Unusual name, I know, but that was Lilo's pick of choice.

Gio: You know I'm not a dog person...

Angela: (Sighs) We have told Nani of that, but she said that Lilo says that she can watch Stitch around as she clearly wants him to stay permanently, and Stitch sounds like he's a friendly dog, loyal to Lilo as he follows her everywhere.

Robert: (Nods) That's good, right? So, you'll be fine, Gio.

Gio: Did she even show what he looks like?

Angela: Nani won't for some reason...

Robert: (Shrugs) Some dogs are camera-shy. You know how the flash affects eyes, no matter the species.

Gio (sighs): Fine... does my flight leave in the morning on June 1st?

Robert: (Smiles softly) The flight lasts about 10 hours. The plane leaves at 6:45 am, and gets there at 2 pm, so you will have time to settle down and such before dinner.

Gio (sighs) Fine...I'll go. Will I have my own bedroom and bathroom there?

Robert: (Grimaces slightly) You'd have to share one of the two bathrooms there, but yes, you will have your own bedroom.

Gio: Well, I don't think I'll get used to sharing the bathroom, but I'm gonna have to.

Angela: (Smiles approvingly) Very good, Gio, I am proud of you. Now, shall we finish up our breakfast?

Gio (grabs some pancakes): Yes, we can!

(Meanwhile, a few hours later in Hawaii, Lilo, Jumba, Pleakley, And Stitich were at the table, as Nani presented a surprise and rare takeout lunch of pepperoni pizza, breadsticks, fries, burgers, and, of course, bowls of vanilla ice cream for dessert. However, as everyone tucked in, Lilo gave Nani a glare...)

Lilo: Takeout food...Nani, What's going on?

Nani: What, I couldn't do a nice lunch for my family?

Jumba: Little girl has point. This is not usual for likes of you, bigger girl.

Lilo: Oh, really? Let's go back to last month, shall we? When I was gone at Hula class, and Stitch broke my new spaceship model by accident, you fed us all this SAME meal to soften the blow when you told me afterwards...didn't work!

Stitch: Naga! Meega good today!

Nani: I know, Stitch. And no, there has been no accident today unless if you did anything in that ship, Jumba.

Jumba: Me, nonsense! I seeking way to do laser work, but I careful. No misfire anything!

Pleakley: Oh, really, what about that palm tree? (Glares at Jumba) Nearly gave me a heart attack!

Jumba: Laser finicky! You fine, one-eye.

Lilo: So, if it wasn't any accident, why are you doing this meal again?

Nani: Uh...uh...well...you know our cousin, Gio?

Lilo: (Blinks in confusion) Maybe? Mom said something about him, but I don't remember..

Nani: Well...I kind of booked him a 3-month stay from June 1st to August 31st...he-he-heh-eh...

Lilo: What?! But we barely know him, and he's practically a stranger! And you always say, and I quote, "Never speak to people you don't know", so there!

Nani: Oh, Lilo, he's ohana and...

Lilo: If he discovers that Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley are aliens, he'll call the government, and they'll all be dissected!

Pleakley: Dissected?! Oh, dear! I can't be dissected, Jumba! Help me! (Sobbing dramatically as he flopped into Jumba's side)

Stitch: (growling) Meega no get dissected. Stitch super strong and destructive!

Jumba: I may be evil genius scientist, but dissecting across the line for me, more evil.

Lilo: Nani, you gotta put Gio in a hotel!

Nani: He's our cousin, and I kinda offered room here. He's going to live here, sleeping in that guest bedroom that nobody barely uses except for David or Cobra in exception.

Lilo: NO! He'll kill everyone here! He'll call the government!

Nani: Lilo, stop that! Gio is only 15, and he's a good boy! Moody at times as he's a teenager like how I used to be, but he's family!

Stitch: Grown-ups no take teenager serious. Grown-ups take Nani serious.

Jumba: (Nods) Yes, stories and movies say that adults only be taken serious, not teenagers...

Nani: Look, if it'll make you feel better, just try to pass Stitch off as a dog, and, Jumba and Pleakley, just put on disguises to make you look more human-like wigs and clothes.

Pleakley: Truly? Oh, I can't wait to dress up!

Lilo: Oh, fine, but don't blame me if Gio freaks out. We're already weird.

Stitch: Matyr Achi-baba! Not freak out!

Jumba: Good point, 626.

Lilo: What did he say?

Jumba: 626 says if we make friends with Gio, he could not freak out.

Lilo: But how are we going to be a good host to him if we can't even afford to do a lot of things besides pay bills? Clearly, he's going to want to do activities and attractions!

Nani: (Smiles) Aunt Angela and Uncle Robert took care of that. We are covered, Lilo, and no, you don't ask me about the numbers!

Pleakley: But it's enough to take care of stuff, right?

Nani: (Chuckles) No worries, Pleakley. It's legit, and it's more than enough to go through these three months of summer.
