Nani: It means that one fear does not define your life. If you remember all the times you've succeeded, calm, faith, and confidence comes back to you. You cannot let fear take charge of your life.
Gio: Oh...
Nani: Think on that, Gio. I really need my shower now. (Smiles reassuringly and gets up to head to her bedroom to grab her robe, new undergarments before going to the girls' bathroom)
Gio (exits house and sighs): Man, I miss New York...(walks down stairs) Man, I sure do have this phobia taking over my life...(bumps into Frenchfry by accident): HEY!
Frenchfry: Serry, arez you ekay? (Having heavy French accent while speaking English)
Gio: No...(realizes he's an alien and gasps)
Frenchfry: Wheetz? (Recognizes look) It ekay. Thees is how meega look, natueeral. Meega Frenchfry...Cousin Sparky sayz Leelo invited me when meeting Leelo cousin. Arez you Leelo cousin? You look lettle like Leelo.
Gio (trembles): You...I...I'm afraid of aliens.
Frenchfry: You? Ohana used to cousins, beet not you? Meest be reeasen whey?
Gio: I'm just not used to it.
Frenchfry: Oh..You not wantz meega here? Leelo understeed in time if you uncomforteeble.
Gio: Well, you're joining us for dinner tonight at 6 p.m., but looking at you now, you don't seem that bad.
Frenchfry: Thankz you. Meega closez restuartant early just minutees ago. Doez you like some help with sheeping? Meega knowez food.
Gio: I'm sorry, but I'm handling all of the cooking today so I don't even want you to touch any of the food in the kitchen because I will not be happy if you do.
Frenchfry: Meega leave you to cooking, but you musundersteed me. Meega talking about store buyinz.
Gio: I'm going to buy everything too, so please do not ask any more.
Frenchfry: Oh...I understeed kitchen isz your one true place. How abovt table sitting?
Gio: I got that too!
Frenchfry: (Blinks) Meega no argue at ohana. Doez you know wherz Leelo and cousin is? Maybe they wantz company...
Gio: They both went out to find a home for a new experiment.
Frenchfry: New cousin? Alwayz a new one every few dayz if not a week. Meega be off now, thinking to visitz old cousins, maybe see Leelo and cousin Stitch. Meega thankz you, ohana cousin.
Gio (Walks off)
Frenchfry: Seez you at 6! (Departs, heading back on road to town)
Gio (walks to store): What a day...
(Gio enters the familiar store, beginning his search for dinner ingredients that are either predominantly french or normal american food to substitute in ways.)
(Gio is picking out the menu...) Gio (walks to deli counter and notices cow tongue): Hey, how much for a cow tongue?
(Meanwhile, in the house, Nani finished up her shower, wringing out her hair while dressed in her white robe)
Nani: Pleakley! Are you done with the skirt yet?!
Pleakley: Almost! Just some last touches, couldn't take more than 20 minutes!
Nani: Okay! (Heads to her bedroom, humming lightly as she grabbed a brush, wondering where the rest of the family is, including Gio)
(Back at the store...)
Gio (grabs package of 5 cow tongues from deli worker): Thanks!
Deli Worker: Have a good evening, sir!
Gio (sees a cold cabinet and sees a log of head cheese): Oh, perfect! (grabs one)
(Gio went through the store some more, picking up needed ingredients, sides, seasonings, and even dessert.)
Gio (grabs some French baguette): Hmm...(bumps into Myrtle's mother) Oh, sorry!
Myrtle's mother: It's alright, young man. Oh, you seem familiar! You're Gio, from the plane.
Gio: Oh, I sure am! Anyway, how's your daughter doing?
Myrtle's mother: (Smiles brightly) She's doing wonderful! She can't stop talking about the afternoon fun she had with Lilo yesterday, swimming and building sandcastles. You have done a truly good thing for her, Gio, thank you.
Gio: Well, if she ever has any more problems, just let me know, and I will talk to her personally again.
Myrtle's mother: (Nods with a grateful smile) Of course. You're a good person, Gio. And oh, tell Lilo that she can come by our house anytime.
Gio: No problem. I'll do that.
Myrtle's mother: Appreciate it. Now...I don't suppose if you know where the pasta section is, would you? I get scatterbrained sometimes, and I couldn't remember quickly enough. I promised Myrtle that I'd make her favorite dinner, lasagna.
Gio: Aisle 3.
Myrtle's mother: Thank you, Gio! I wish you and the family a good evening. (Waves gratefully and pushes her cart, heading off to Aisle 3.)
Gio (walks over to bakery and gets a container of 10 chocolate éclairs): Perfect...(walks to aisle of expensive foods and grabs some caviar): Hmmm...
(The scene cuts to Gio entering the front door of the house, with shopping bags in his hands..)
Gio: Home sweet home, well, for the summer, anyway!
Lilo: (Sitting on the couch with Nani, braiding her hair as there's more light in the living room than in Nani's bedroom. Nani's still wearing her white robe very securely.) Hi, Gio!
Nani: Hello, Gio. That's quite the load you got there. You sure you don't need help with those?
Gio: Oh, I got it, Nani. But thanks!
(Suddenly, a whoop of delight echoed through the house, and Pleakley's voice shouted in satisfaction) Pleakley: I finished it!
Nani: (Smiles) About time. I am starting to think that he got away with sparkles or something. Gio, when you set your bags down, would you have a moment to see through my closet?
Gio: Sorry, but I got to start preparing dinner now...
Nani: Oh, okay. Just see if you have a moment somewhere when you're not busy cutting stuff or something.
Pleakley: Nani, come take a look! (Peeks around corner of doorway)
Lilo: I ain't done yet! (Pouting lightly as the braid is only halfway done through)
Nani: (Sighs) I will be right there after Lilo finishes, okay, Pleakley?
Pleakley: Alright, Nani. I will put the skirt on your bed, and call me if you want the skirt hemmed a bit shorter or something else. (Disappears back from corner of doorway)
Nani: Anyhow...Gio? About the moment you're free?
Gio: For a little, yes.
Nani: Great. I better not keep you from preparation work. You seem to do best when you're in the kitchen.
Gio (goes into kitchen): Man, what a day...
(Gio went to business, setting everything in its proper place where he can reach and cook, knowing that the family will love this as much as they did with lunch earlier.)
Gio: Time to cook! (Puts pan on stove and turns on heat) Now this...(pours oil into pan)
(30 minutes into cooking, Gio walked into Nani's room and saw the skirt...)
Gio (nods): I like it.
(The skirt is simple yet very lovely. Like Pleakley said, it's a orchid shade of purple, hemmed around middle of knee area, and there is a row of orchid flowers which is stitched, in slight different sizes, just three of them from the small one just below the waist left side area of the skirt, the medium one weaving around to the side of the hip area, and the big one on the side of the thigh area.)
Nani: Not bad, huh? I was surprised that he thought to put into stitching flowers, but Lilo thinks it suits me well enough. (Her hair is done into a well-taught braid with a blue scrunchie, still wearing her white robe, just deciding on some light makeup when Gio came in.) And I figured black flats would be nice as I detest high heels. (Gesturing to the black flats on floor just below the skirt on the foot of the bed) So, have a look at my closet. Just think about which shirt would be good on me with the skirt and flats...David is coming soon.
Gio: Oh, I'm honestly not the best person to ask about fashion...
Nani: You're part of this ohana, Gio. Everyone contributes in little or big ways. So, give it a shot, please.
Gio: Uh...what options are there?
Nani: A medium or long sleeved shirt. While you were shopping, I called David, and he said that he's bringing along a blanket to keep us warm.
Gio: Hmmm...medium.
Nani: (Smiles) Then look at the closet. Use your imagination.
Gio (pulls out yellow-white blous shirt): Perfect!
Nani: (Looks at the yellow-white blouse shirt, medium-sleeved) Okay, I will try that out. It will take a bit to be all done up. I will come in the kitchen for you to have a look, alright? After all, I will be gone with David when you call the others for dinner, but you could do leftovers, yeah, for later on?
Gio (nods): No problem, Nani.
Nani: Alright. Now, shoo, this girl needs some privacy!
Gio (walks back to kitchen): Now to finish dinner!
(The scene cuts to an hour later, with Gio setting the table, and using serving platters to serve up the large French meal of grilled cow tongue, French baguette with a side of butter and olive oil, caviar with bacon-flavored crackers, head cheese, croquet misuser sandwiches, snails, lobster tail, and for dessert, leftover chocolate cake, and chocolate éclairs...)
Gio (blows airhorn)
Nani: You can't resist that, can you? So, what do you think? (Wearing light makeup, just enough to bring out the blush in her cheeks, and she's in the blouse shirt, skirt, and flats, looking quite lovely)
Gio: Oh, you look great!
Nani: (Smiles brightly) Yeah? Thanks, Gio. (Knock on door) Ah, that would be David! (Walks to front door and reveals David, dressed up in a almost formal, slightly casual look, wearing a medium-sleeved dress blue shirt, dark brown pants, and instead of his trademark sandals, he's wearing slightly fancy sneakers.)
David: (Holding something behind his back in one hand while staring at Nani in awe and adoration) Wow...Nani..You look beautiful...
Nani: (Blushes) Thanks, David. You aren't bad yourself either. So, what do you got there behind your back? (Smirks slightly)
David: (Chuckles sheepishly) It's date night, so I thought I'd get you something nice. So, here...(Brings out hand from back, opening it to reveal a silver bracelet of trinkets)
Nani: (Gasps) David!
David: I scourged up enough money after paying rent on my apartment, and I saw this last week, thought of you, so...yeah... (Brings bracelet closer so Nani can see the trinkets; a surfboard, a hula dancer, a heart, and a flower.)
Nani: It's beautiful! (David smiles and moves to put the bracelet on her right wrist, which Nani bought closer into the light of the room, sparkling lightly) I love it, David, thank you. (Kisses David on the cheek which he blushes at with a goofy grin)
Lilo: Hey, guys, can't leave without a couple of pictures! (Nani and David look back to see the whole family looking at them with smiles of approval and happiness, with Lilo holding up her camera)
David: (Laughs softly) I couldn't mind that again, Lilo. Whatta you say, Nani?
Nani: (Smiles) Alright, Lilo, but quick! We gotta go to our date, and you have dinner.
Lilo: (Nods and works her cameras in a couple of angles as Nani and David pose) There, perfect! I can't wait to see them come out! You both look great!
Stitch: Ih! Nanee very pretty and David spiffy!
Jumba: You done good working, noodle-head. Bigger girl and bigger man is being happy.
Pleakley: This is why I am a expert in Earth fashion! I am so proud!
Gio: Have fun!
Nani: (Giggles) We will, Gio, and remember to behave, all of you. Frenchfry may be ohana, but he's a guest here tonight for dinner.
Lilo: Relax, Nani! We will be fine, and besides, we're planning to have a really good evening after exhaustedly finding the one true place for Heckler, the new cousin from earlier.
Stitch: (Nods) Ih!
David: Speaking of which, we can't be late, and I think I see Frenchfry coming up to the stairs. (Glances outside)
Nani: Oh, yeah, it's him. Okay, have fun, all of you! (Grasps David's hand, and heads down with Frenchfry reaching landing of stairs) Hey, Frenchfry, dinner is ready. I and David is going on our date.
Frenchfry: Romance iz in air! Meega happy to see ohana looking good. You havez fun!
David: Thanks, Frenchfry. See you around, dude. (Smiles as he nods, and the couple then head down to the ground floor, to David's jeep while Frenchfry made it to front door)
Frenchfry: Meega smell delicious food! Can meega come in, pleaze?
Gio (nods)
Frenchfry: Thankz you! (Steps in, and smiles at Lilo and Stitch) Aloha, cousin Stitch and Leelo! Meega saw you dragging new cousin in town. Didz he find one true place?
Lilo: He sure did, and his name is Heckler. You gotta watch him as he likes to call names and stuff, but I think he will be happy about being the dunk master of the tank.
Frenchfry: Heckler, eh? Not bad name. Shall weega eat dinner? Meega curious to see what cousin Gio cooked.
Stitch: Food looking incredible!
Pleakley: Yes, if I wasn't mistaken, I swore there is lobster.
Gio: Come on in! Dinner is ready!
Lilo: (Comes into the kitchen with the others) Whoa, that's a whole lot of platters!
Stitch: Lot time to eat all this. (Jumps into his seat with the others sitting down, with Frenchfry taking Nani's seat just for this dinner)
Gio: I hope you don't mind cow tongue.
Stitch: COW TONGUE?! EEEEEEW!
Pleakley: What made you think to buy that, Gio?!
Jumba: Aye, being very curious and unusual choice.
Gio: It's French!
Frenchfry: Meega try it! Proof to ohana!
Gio: Lilo?
Lilo: Frenchfry and Stitch can eat anything thanks to their stomachs. But I think Frenchfry should do it as I am on the fence right now.
Stitch: Ih!
Jumba: Little girl having point. We never trying cow tongue before. This being first time for us.
Frenchfry: People wantz profezzional chef like meega to say approval or deny. Meega being cousin of ohana, double impeerant.
Me: Oh, and you'll LOVE the head cheese!
Lilo: Uh...what is that?
Gio: Head cheese is...well...a pig's head that is boiled down. It has a gelantinius texture...but is VERY flavorful...
Lilo: Wait, like Frankenstein's brain? (Widens eyes with a grin)
Stitch: Lilo loves horror movies.
Gio: Wait...you watch horror movies?!
Lilo: With supervision of Nani and the others, yeah. I love monsters. Vampires, werewolves, giant ants, Frankenstein, mummies, you name it!
Gio: Gross...just...gross!
Jumba: Sounding like Gio not liking horror monster movies.
Pleakley: That's fine with me!
Frenchfry: (Rolls eyes and grabs a forkful of both grilled cow tongue and head cheese, seeing Stitch's stare at him) Meega try it while they distractez. (Takes bite of cow tongue first)
Gio (notices this): How is it?
Frenchfry: Meega surprized. Cow tongue iz not slimy like meega thought. It's less mild than filet mignon, but yez, it's good. (Then takes bite of head cheese, humming in thought.)
Lilo: What about the head cheese?
Frenchfry: Head cheese iz tender, almost bacon-like. Meega likez it!
Gio: Try it, Lilo!
Lilo: (Goes take forkful of both cow tongue and head cheese like Frenchfry, but takes bite of head cheese first) Wow, that's actually good! (Then takes bite of cow tongue) Frenchfry's right. It's almost same as filet mignon, just milder. It's great.
Jumba: That deciding then, I be going to eat too!
Pleakley: Lilo and Frenchfry certainly likes the new meat, and look at the little monster.
Stitch: Great meat! (Cutting pieces of cow tongue on plate after getting a quarter of the whole thing)
Gio: I told ya!
Pleakley: You'd be keeping leftovers for Nani, yes?
Gio: Of course, I am!
Pleakley: Just making sure. Well, let's dig in, take our time, but not too long!
Frenchfry: Meega happy to be here for family dinner.
Lilo: You're family, ohana, Frenchfry, and that won't change, not ever! It's great to have you here.
Stitch: Ih! Day was great, just another day in summer.
Gio: Oh, and try the lobster!
(Everybody enjoyed the dinner, tried everything that Gio made, and much to Gio's surprise, he found that he's actually feeling quite comfortable in the presence of Frenchfry, realizing that Nani's right. He cannot let fear take over his life.)
Gio: So...what did you all think?!
Jumba: You been done a great job, bigger boy! I enjoying it all!
Pleakley: Yes, you certainly belong in the kitchen. We may have to make a schedule of kitchen days between you, me, and Nani.
Stitch: Meega love all food!
Lilo: Yeah, you did awesome, Gio, thanks!
Frenchfry: Meega iz content, glad to triedz everything. You ohana. You having ohana discount at meega's restaurant when you feel like itz.
Gio: Oh...what do you cook?
Frenchfry: Meega make heathy low-fat food.
Lilo: Yeah, he subs potatoes to squash for french fries, subs beef to fish for burgers, etc.
Gio: Squash French fries and fish burgers? Sorry, yuck! I'm not used to eating that so you won't get ANY of my business there!
Lilo: Oh, that's just for the serious vegans, but Frenchfry also has the ability to make regular food low-calories, like with regular french fries, he makes them not like heavy in your gut, but light.
