Gio (To man behind stand): I'd like to try again. And of course, I get to play for free since I organized this event, by the way. It's in the rental agreement.
Man behind stand: Oh, you're Gio Pelekai, the son? Yes, of course. Here you go. (Hands set of rings to him)
Gio (tosses rings and manages to snag onto 5 bottles with no issues) YES!
Man behind stand: Wow! Your prize of choice is either large or super large.
Gio (looks up): Oh, give me the super large orca!
Man behind stand: (Laughs warmly) Excellent pick. Hold on. (Grabs hook pole to unlatch the hook of the string that's holding the orca, and lifts down as he shortens the pole, and frees the orca, hands it to Gio) There. All yours, young man.
Gio (grabs it): Thank you!
David: (Whistles) Dang, you probably should ask Jumba to hold it for you when you go on rides and such. Oh, I know you're fit and all, but holding a huge orca would strain arms. Are you going to give it to Lilo tonight when she goes to bed? Me, you know I am a romantic, and I am going to give this stuffed tiger to Nani.
Gio: Uh...this orca is for me... I-I sometimes sleep with a stuffed animal.
David: (Nods in understanding) That's awesome. Not many people would keep their stuffed animals long past teenagehood, but several people doesn't care for in my personal experience, stuffed animals hold your secrets and scare off nightmares, or just ease their owners into a good night's sleep.
Gio: I do it to just...well...have something to talk to when no one else is around.
David: That's totally understandable. You would want a silent friend to listen without judging you.
Gio: Yes...Y-you just read my mind!
David: (Grins wryly) Dude, I was your age, you know. Teenage years is messed up in ways.
Gio: I agree, but we all get through it.
David: (Grins) I know it's a long ways off, but I might just ask you to be my best man one day, so you know. (Notices girls chatting while gesturing to a ride) Come on, let's go. I think Lilo wants to go for a ride again.
Gio: Oh...uh...I-I don't think I could do that. To me, weddings are boring.
David: Whoa, man. I only said 'might ask'. And besides, there's plenty of time to change your mind for you probably are visiting here again. You can't fool me, you are falling in love with Hawaii. And just you know, weddings ain't fancy all the time. There are small, simple ones too, and of course, elopement as well. Nani would probably want a small, simple wedding if I ask for her opinion, and I do know her very well, indeed.
Gio: I...just don't feel comfortable ever doing that...sorry.
David: That's final, huh? Alright, I ain't asking no more. No more serious face, let's have some more fun, shall we? Excuse me. (Walks over to Nani, talks a bit as he gives the stuffed tiger to her, and she smiles with a blush, kissing him on the cheek)
Lilo: Gio, ain't you coming? Wanna join us for a ride?
Gio: Sure! I say we go on the "Double Looper"!
Lilo: Awesome! Let's go!
(The scene cuts to Gio, Lilo, Myrtle, and some others strapped down onto the main roller coaster ride vehicle, all ready to go...)
Gio: Excited for your first looping coaster?!
Lilo: Yes! Let's do this! (Smirks) Bet you will scream first before anyone else, Gio!
(At that point, the vehicle began making its way up the chain lift...)
Lilo: (Giggles with excitement) This is getting better and better! Best birthday ever!
(And of course, the vehicle reached the top, and sped down a curved vertical drop, all before speeding through 5 large loops...)
Lilo: (Screams in joy and adrenaline) WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Gio: WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Lilo: (Attempts to beat him by volume, screaming even louder) YYYYEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!
Gio: WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Lilo: (Shrieks gleefully as the coaster vehicle slows down at the final turn, and stops) That was awesome!
Gio: And this ride cost over $2,000 to rent by hour or so, you are lucky to be on this one.
Lilo: WHAAT?! That much?! Now you're making me feel guilty, Gio!
Gio (chuckles): And I meant that in a good way!
Lilo: (Clambers out of vehicle) Alright, but no more mentioning about money, or you're gonna give Nani a heart attack!
Gio: And why would that happen?
Lilo: Because she had been...er..what was that word? penny-pinching since the car crash...
Gio: But it's my parent's money!
Lilo: Oh...Well, I guess that's a fair point...
Gio: Yes, it is. You need to know the difference...
Lilo: Difference? You mean like your parents being capable of helping making this with your ideas?
Gio: Yes, exactly!
Lilo: No need to say more, Gio, I think I get it. Come on, let's do another ride before lunch!
Gio: It's only 10:30 am!
Lilo: Really? Huh, all this running and having fun sure makes me a bit hungry, but not quite there yet. I mean, we had breakfast at like 7 am, yeah?
Gio: Yeah, but I have lunch at 12:00pm usually.
Lilo: That's true back home, but today's my birthday, right?
Gio: Yes...
Lilo: Alright! So I say we do another ride, and then go off to the buffet!
Gio: Alright. Say, let's go on the chair swing!
Lilo: Great idea! Let's tell the others!
(The scene cuts to show everyone enjoying the lunch buffet, with their plates piled high with various foods...)
Lilo: Hey, Stitch, watch this! (Flings piece of popcorn in the air, and catches it in her mouth) Beat that!
Stitch: (Smirks) Meega do better! (Flings pieces of grapes in the air, and catches them in his mouth) Meega beat you!
Lilo: (Pouts) Hey, no fair! (Grins as a idea came to her) Try closing your eyes! See if you can catch them!
Stitch: (Blinks in surprise and smiles) Youga on! (Flings pieces of blueberries in the air, closing his eyes, and ears flicking up, listening as he catches them perfectly in his mouth) Ta-da!
Lilo: (Gasps) How did you do that?!
Jumba: (Chuckles) You forgetting 626 have super brain and ears. He listening extremely well when needed to.
Pleakley: Neither way, that was impressive.
Jumba: It should being! After all, I created him! (Laughs triumphantly)
David: You okay, Nani?
Nani: Yeah, I am fine. Just a memory...(Shakes head) It's okay, go back to your burger, David. (Glances at Gio) You made today incredible for Lilo.
Gio: Oh, it's the least I can do for my ohana.
Nani: And I am glad to see Lilo smiling and everything. Speaking of ohana, is there a possibility that you might visit us on Winter Break? Christmas around here may be different, being in a tropical climate, but it's still much the same in many ways. It was a small event before the cousins came, and now with the cousins, it is quite a big event.
Gio: No, I don't think that will happen. I ALWAYS spend Christmas in New York!
Nani: (Nods in understanding) Fair enough since you have come here this summer. But you could send presents, yeah?
Gio: Of course I will!
Nani: Great! Glad to know. And hey, don't forget to take pictures of your city either. Lilo loves photography.
Gio: Oh, she does?
Nani: Well, yeah. I mean, you saw her photos on her wall, and in her scrapbooks including the cousins book, right?
Gio: No...I didn't...
Nani: I know Lilo showed you the cousins scrapbook of their pictures, but you haven't noticed the ones on her wall?
Gio: No, I never saw them.
Nani: I guess you were more focused on putting Lilo to bed that time with Pleakley when I was out on my date with David.
Gio: Meh...I guess I just didn't notice them.
Nani: It's okay. Come on, the food's getting a bit cool.
Gio (begins to fill plate with 3 burgers and several tong-fills of fries)
Nani: (Grins as she grabs some chicken wings, spoonful of corn and potatoes with gravy)
Gio: So, I hope you all like the food! It has a 5-star rating!
Pleakley: Really?! A five-star rating. That's really rare to get!
Gio: But this catering company has it!
Pleakley: That makes me happy!
Jumba: No wonder why food being delicious! (Chomping upon ham slices)
David: Awesome, dude! (Gives a thumbs up to Gio while holding his burger)
Gio (takes a bite of one of his burgers): Hmmm...so good!
David: Totally!
Nani: (Chuckles as she nibs on the chicken skin) Wow, that's a first. Two ways of approval from David. You done good, Gio.
Lilo: Yeah! I said it before, and I'll say it again! Best day ever! (Takes a bite of her hot dog)
Gio: And it was all for my ohana!
Stitch: Ih! Ohana!
Lilo: That's it! Let's cheer for ohana! (Raises cup of chocolate milk)
Nani: You heard her. On the count of three, we shout 'Ohana'. Ready? (Others raise their cups of various beverages) One, two, three! Ohana!
Lilo, Stitch, Jumba, Pleakley, David: Ohana!
Gio: Ohana!
Lilo: (Grins) The day's not over yet! Let's finish up those big meals and have fun!
Gio: Oh, let's all go on that giant rotating stick ride!
(Nods of murmured agreement rings around the table, and the family dug in to eat and finish their meals to enjoy the rest of the day, and check out more rides. Upon the conclusion of a spectacular show of the motorcycle globe action, there's one more surprise for Lilo, and Gio can't wait to show her what's under the cover.)
Gio: Ready to see the cake, Lilo!?
Lilo: Yeah! Totally ready!
Gio: Alright! In 3...2...
Lilo: (Gasps in delight and amazement as the cover is swiftly yet carefully removed by Gio) Whoa...
(At that point, Gio flipped off the cover, and revealed a MASSIVE sheet cake that included 6 layers of sponge cake (3 chocolate, 2 vanilla, 1 red velvet), with cookies and cream filling in between each layer, covered in white buttercream and white fondant. The fondant itself was painted half blue (to resemble the ocean), and half sand-yellow (to resemble the beach), which had crushed graham crackers covering the yellow part. The "sand" half of the park had a model of Lilo's house made out of "Rice Krispy" treats and painted with edible paint and colored modeling chocolate. The entire house setting was surrounded by modeling chocolate figurines of Lilo herself, Stitch, Jumba, Pleakley, Cobra, David, Nani, Myrtle and her friends, and all of Jumba's experiments...)
Lilo: WOW! That's so neat!
Nani: (Blinks in amazement as she looks over the cake, and then tilt her head in confusion as she saw something missing.) You didn't add yourself...
Gio: Oh, that's a surprise...(opens tiny door in the house, revealing a model of Gio holding out a tiny red velvet cupcake)
Lilo: That's even more cooler!
David: This looks like it took a long time!
Gio: It did...and it cost my parents $2,568 dollars!
Nani: Oh, my gosh! (Takes deep breaths, processing that fact before whispering quickly) Please tell me your parents thought that the cousins were dogs or something.
Gio: Oh, I didn't tell them about ANYTHING! I just put in the cake order for the bakery, told my mom and dad how much I needed, and they wired me the money.
Lilo: (Widens eyes) And they just did that without asking?
Gio: All I said was, "It'll cover the total cost of the cake".
David: You have to admit, Nani, he have been technically telling the truth without exposing the cousins. After all, Gio's a smart dude.
Nani: (Nods) Yeah, you're right. So, Lilo, where do you want to start from?
Lilo: (Grins) The ocean side of the cake!
Gio: I'll help you, Lilo. Want a corner piece?
Lilo: (Smiles widely) Yeah! (Walks to Gio, and stands besides Gio, with Gio carefully cutting into the cake with Lilo's hand underneath, cutting the corner of the ocean side in the cake.)
Gio: Careful...
Lilo: I am...(Sticks tongue out while focusing on cutting the cake with the knife, her hand on the handle, with Gio's hand guiding her)
Gio: And...there we go...(Places slice on plate)
Lilo: Thanks, Gio! (Grabs plate, along with a plastic fork, and prances off to nearby table, takes first bite) Hmmm! That is so good!
Gio: So, you like it?!
Lilo: (Looks over) Yes! This is the best cake ever!
Gio (Places knife down): Well, anything for my Ohana.
Nani: Come on, let's have some cake ourselves! (Murmurs of agreement ring around, and the rest of the family, with Lilo's friends including Myrtle goes get their piece one by one at a time.)
Gio (cuts my own large piece) Ugh...yes! (places knife down and begins to eat it)
David: This is delicious!
Gio: Money can sure make things taste good!
Pleakley: For once, I agree with you, Gio.
Nani: So, Lilo, is this the best birthday in all of your life?
Lilo: Yes! I can't wait for next year! Right, Stitch?
Stitch: (Nods and barks as there's a crowd everywhere at tables)
(And so, everybody agreed that today has been exciting and awesome, and they enjoyed the cake, going back for seconds, and even rare thirds as well. Lilo and the ohana returned home, exhausted yet content with the birthday girl smiling and hugging Gio before she goes to bed, having quite a day to tire her out)
Lilo: Thank you, Gio, for everything!
Gio (chuckles): Oh...anything for you, Lilo.
Lilo: You're the best human cousin ever! (Yawns) I love you, Gio.
Gio: And I love you, Lilo...
Lilo: (Smiles widely before yawning again, rubbing eyes) Night, Gio. (Starts to walk to elevator tube)
Stitch: Ih. Youga good for Lilo. Good night, Gio. (Goes to join Lilo as his arms stretch out, scratching his back with his ears drooping in exhaustion)
Gio (walk over to where Nani was): Hey, Nani!
Nani: (Looks up from cuddling her gifted purple stuffed tiger, having recently said goodbye with a cheek kiss to David) Yeah?
Gio: Didn't you have so much fun?!
Nani: Sure did, Gio. Favorite part was riding the Ferris Wheel with David. You?
Gio: Oh, the roller coasters!
Nani: That's a great memory to keep and have. (Yawns softly, shaking her head) Sorry, today sure was exhausting, but it's the good kind of exhausting, of course!
Gio: Say, is Jumba up?
Nani: Oh, you can catch up to him on the path to the ship. You know how he is with the double-check to make sure everything is secure.
Gio (nods): Alright, goodnight! (exits out back door)
Nani: (Calls out) Good night! (Heads to her bedroom to change into her pajamas and go to sleep immediately after a quick toothbrush minute)
(The scene cuts to Gio walking outside and then entering the back of Jumba's ship...)
Gio: Uh...Jumba?
Jumba: (Turns around at the sound of Gio's voice, a wrench in his hand) Ah, bigger boy! Checking on me, huh? Old girl here being a bit stubborn.
Gio (chuckles): Well, I wanted to ask...did you have fun?
Jumba: Indeed, I was being glad with all fun today! Why, the buffet was being incredible, enough feeding for big guy like me.
Gio: What about the rides?
Jumba: (Chuckles) That be the-, no, the wooden ship ride! That was being my favorite.
Gio: Oh, did you go in the Chair swing?
Jumba: (Sighs) Afraid not. I being more chubby than normal humans. If I went going on that ride, I would being squished, not enjoying it, I believe.
Gio (laughs): HAHAHAHAHA!
Jumba: Yes, yes, I suppose it being funny from a point of view. (Hears hiss of air, and turns around to grasp rim with wrench) Darn boiler! (Turns rim right, and then bangs upon the metal, and hears boiler working up) There you go, old girl! (Looks to Gio) Looks like things being good now. Let's going home and lock Rose up, eh, bigger boy?
Gio: Oh, sure!
(And so, Gio and Jumba locked up the ship after shutting off lights and such, and headed home, ready to go to sleep and await a new day)
Gio: Say, where is Pleakley?
Jumba: (Smirks) Noodle-head literally being in bed, out to world, clothes being on without changing.
Gio: Oh...so, he's asleep right now?
Jumba: (Nods) Being right on nose!
Gio (sighs): Oh, okay. I just really wanted to ask him about how much he enjoyed the day before he went to sleep.
Jumba: Oh, I see! Well, actually, he mentioning something before he flopped into bed. He said that he enjoying the log ride and cake, and today was being more than just fun for him.
Gio: Well, I did do it all for Lilo. After all, this party was her celebration of herself being in double digit ages for the rest of her life. Of course I made this party for her unforgettable.
Jumba: (Laughs) I couldn't agreeing more! You being done good, Gio!
Gio: It looks like just yesterday, it was my first full day here and I was afraid of aliens.
Jumba: (Gently slaps/grasps Gio's shoulder with a chuckle) Now, look at you! You being smarter, taller, and more accepting. Time being fast, flying in blink of eye.
