Gio: I...I just wanted to say...thank you. Thank you for this opportunity to get to know more of the other side of my ohana. This trip...wasn't' something I'd ever thought I'd be doing or wanted to ever do at first. But now, after getting to know each and every one of you. I'm sure you all know this by now, but I'll still say it...I no longer fear aliens anymore.

I used to fear the unknown due to my past of that bully who hurt me...I became broken, close-minded, and...well...heartless at times. I'm sorry for coming off like that at first...I hope you can all forgive me. And now, as I prepare to fly back home to New York City and reunite with my parents, I hope that my time here will have a longtime effect on people, and that I can improve myself, and make my parents proud of me. Thank you all...thank you. Ohana means family.

Cousins: (Echoing) And family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten!

Lilo: I think that means they already have forgiven you, Gio, and they love you no matter what.

Gio (smiles): Thank you...

Nani: (Smiles) Come on, Gio, let's get you to the airport or we'll miss your plane.

Gio: Can...Lilo, Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley join us?

Lilo: Can we, Nani?

Nani: No need to ask, guys, but let's go, all of us!

Lilo: Yes! Cousins, head back to your jobs and all, okay?

Cousins: Ih!

David: Hey, Gio, next summer, I'll ask you to a little competition on the waves, eh?

Gio: Competition?

David: (Grins) Some friendly surfing, dude.

Gio: Oh, you got it!

David: See ya next summer! (Holds up fist, gesturing for a fist bump)

Gio: Wait, want to come with us?

David: Thanks, but no thanks. I got a friend who needs my help in fixing up his surfboard, something about the back fin breaking off. But hey, yesterday was awesome, and I came here for the picture, and something else. (Taking something out of his pocket) Figured you'd like something to remind ya of the beach. (Revealing what's in his hand; a vial of pure beach sand with bits of a seashell with a necklace of strong twine)

Gio: Woah...(grabs it)

David: (Smiles) No need to say thanks, dude. The look on your face is enough.

Gio (hugs David)

David: (Hugs Gio back) You're welcome, Gio. Now, you better get going! (Gestures to the jeep with the family waiting inside with expectant looks)

Gio: Yep, I better get on my way! (walks over to jeep) Bye! (opens front-passenger side door and gets inside) I'm ready...(closes door) Say, can I put one of my favorite songs on the radio? (buckles up)

Nani: Have at it, Gio. (Revs jeep up, and begins to leave the driveway)

Gio: So, how do I pick a song? Got an MP3 player car hookup option?

Nani: Sorry, no. Try fiddling with the radio.

Me: Hmmm...but then, there is no guarantee the song I want will be found.

Nani: It's like 30 minutes if I drive steady and fast, hoping the lights are green all the way. Listen to the radio, maybe there's something you like.

Gio (eyes widens): Wait, I got an idea...(turns around to the backseat) Lilo? Is there a way to access the trunk from back there? I have a CD I want to play.

Lilo: Oh, yeah. Stitch?

Stitch: Ih! (Unbuckles and scrambles over the seat into the trunk) What luggage?

Gio: The black duffle bag!

Stitch: Ih! (Grabs the handles, and scrambles over the seats, reaching out to hand it to Gio) Here, Gio.

Gio (grabs it): Thanks!

Stitch: (Smiles) Youga welcome! (Rejoins Lilo, buckling himself in his seat.)

Gio (opens duffle bag and pulls out a CD case marked "Michael Jackson's Greatest Hits"): My favorite artist, right here on this disk! (holds it up for everyone to see)

Lilo: Cool, put it in, then!

Gio: Yep! And to start off, I'm going to skip to my favorite song on the soundtrack..."Man in The Mirror"!

Pleakley: Let's have a listen, then!

(Gio grins and happily opens the case, and then inserted the CD into the jeep's CD player slot. He then skipped to Track 6, which was "Man In The Mirror", and then hit the "Play" button. As he does this, the song, "Man In The Mirror" plays in the background, as the scene cuts to show a montage of the jeep driving through Kauai, Hawaii, all as various cousins, who had all left the house after the final photo was taken, wave their final goodbyes to him from their various places of work...)

Gio (waves to Slick standing outside his gift shop): Bye, Slick!

Slick: Cheers, Gio! Bye!

Gio (Sees Slushy in the distance): Bye, Slushie!

Slushy: (Waving) Cousin Gio, happy times!

(At that point, the scene cuts to show Yin and Yang on the side of the road, waving to Gio...)

Gio: Bye, Yin and Yang!

Yang: (Whooshes with a flare of lava)

Yin: (Sprinkles the jeep's side with a drizzle of water)

(The scene cuts to show the jeep passing the local barber shop, where Clip was outside the door as the jeep drove by...)

Gio: Bye, Clip!

Clip: (Chirps happily with a wave of her long claws, doing a flip)

(The scene cuts to show the jeep passing the police station, where Fibber was waving outside...)

Gio: Bye, Fibber!

Fibber: (Gives a wave, his head sounding out with a short beep)

Lilo: (Giggles) He knows that you're coming back next summer! That's not technically a lie.

Gio: And I'm glad I am!

Stitch: Ih, and music has good beat!

Gio: Oh, you like it?

Stitch: Huh-uh!

Gio: Oh, any more cousins coming up?!

Nani: I see Sparky!

(The scene cuts to show Sparky on the top of the lighthouse, waving to Gio as the Jeep drove by...)

Gio: Bye Sparky!

Sparky: (Makes a firework off from his antenna) Ih, ih! Cousin Gio! Bye!

(After a brief montage of many other cousins waving goodbye, including Heckler, Wishy, Sample, and many more, the scene cuts to show a wide exterior shot of the Jeep driving on a highway ramp for about 20 minutes, and then finally, approaching "Kauai International Airport". The scene then cut to a shot of the unloading and loading white zones outside of the "American Airlines Departures" terminal of the airport, all before showing the Jeep pulling up alongside the entry doors and stopping. As this happens, the song stops playing in the background...)

Gio (pushes "Eject" button and grabs CD): Well, this is it...

Lilo: (Unbuckles seat and scrambles to hug Gio) Never forget us, Gio.

Stitch: (Joins her) Ih! Gio is good ohana.

Gio (puts CD into case): Woah, whoa, everyone! Please, wait till I'm out of the Jeep to hug me! (Puts CD case into duffle bag and zips it shut) Well...(unbuckles seatbelt) Here I go...(Opens door and steps out)

Lilo and Stitch: (Leaps out of side door past Jumba, and hugs Gio around the knees) We'll miss you, Gio!

Gio: I'll...I'll miss you both too! (hugs them back and sheds tears)

Jumba: (Grabs rest of Gio's luggage from trunk) There you go, Gio. Update us on special tablet messaging when you can, eh?

Gio (grabs 2 suitcases and laptop bag): You got it, Uncle Jumba! (grabs duffle bag) Well...this is it...final hugs must be submitted now!

Pleakley: (Sobs dramatically as he hugs Gio) I'm gonna miss you, and your cooking, Gio!

Jumba: Oi, quit being dramatic, noodle-head! (Rolls eyes half-heartedly)

Gio: Jumba...(sniffs) This is a big deal for him...please, show some respect and...stop calling him "noodle-head" for crying out loud!

Jumba: Sorry, fond nickname for him. He not mind it, right? (Glances at Pleakley)

Pleakley: It's true, Gio. Trust me. I had worse when I was a kid back home. And besides, it fits me anyhow. After all, I am thin like a noodle. Anyway, you are good, Gio. Keep that in mind, and you won't be like that bully, or (shudders) Leroy. I forgave Hamsterviel already.

Gio (nods): You got it, Pleakley. I will be good and I'm good...(to Jumba) Jumba? Thanks for everything you've shown me during my stay...

Jumba: You welcome, and come next summer, you be even bigger boy. Maybe taller than David-boy.

Gio (hugs him): Oh Jumba, a year isn't that long a time for a teen to grow...

Jumba: (Laughs) Really? Pleakley say teens have growth spurts all time.

Pleakley: Books and internet.

Gio (chuckles): Oh, you're so funny, you two. (Steps back) Nani? (Approaches her)

Nani: Yeah, Gio?

Gio (hugs her): Nani, thank you so much for everything. I...I didn't want to come here at first, but you...you helped make my trip life-changing. (sniffs) Oh, I'll miss you...

Nani: (Hugs Gio back with a warm smile) Aww, Gio, I'll miss you. It'll be strange to have breakfast without you, Gio. But we'll manage. After all, time can fly fast at no notice when you're not bothering about it.

Gio (stops the hug): Oh...thanks, Nani. Ohana means family...

Nani: And family means nobody gets left behind...

Lilo, Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley: Or forgotten.

Nani: Have a safe trip, Gio. (Ruffles his hair lightly with a playful smirk.)

Gio: I will! I'll...

(Suddenly, before Gio could continue, a familiar voice could be heard calling out to him. This voice was none other than Rueben...)

Rueben's voice: Wait, Gio! Wait up!

Gio (freezes): Uh? Huh? Who said that?!

Rueben: Hi! Am I late to grab a hug? I got a gift from me and Gantu.

Gio: Woah, Rueben! I...I didn't expect to see you again!

(Reuben then appeared from behind the Jeep, carrying a huge duffle bag...)

Lilo: Hey, Rueben, what you got there?

Rueben: Hey, something cool and playful at the same time. (Opens duffle bag and reveals the gift which turns out to be a remote model of Jumba's ship, along with a control handle) You said you enjoyed the few times out in Jumba's ship, so why not fly and play with this?

Gio (grabs both items): Woah... (smiles) Thank you so much!

Rueben: And I made you something for the ride! (pulls out a very thick sandwich wrapped in tin foil) All your favorite flavors are in here!

Gio: And they are...?

Rueben: Well, it got ham, turkey, pulled pork, fried chicken, salami, pepperoni, roast beef, bacon, hot dogs, Swiss cheese, American cheese, melted mozzarella cheese, honey mustard, barbeque sauce, and ketchup.

Gio (gasps): Wow, no wonder it's so big!

Rueben: (Chuckles) Figure you wouldn't want to go hungry on such a long trip home. And hey, don't forget us, eh?

Gio: I promise, I won't. (grabs sandwich) You're such a great sandwich chef! (opens duffle bag and places it and remote controlled spaceship toy inside) Oh, and...(sighs) I'm sorry for trying to kill you before...

Rueben: (Waves hand dismissively) Ah, water under the bridge, Gio! You're a cool cousin.

Nani: You better get going, Gio. And besides, I better get the Jeep back before someone arrests us for staying too long.

(Suddenly, a familiar French accent spoke out from behind the jeep. It was none other than the voice of Frenchfry..)

Frenchfry's voice: Not without a side dish and dessert, you're not! (appears from behind jeep with a duffle bag)

Stitch: Smelling food in there too!

Frenchfry: Ih! (Opens duffel bag, revealing two cardboard boxes; one small and thin while the other one is thin and big.) Small box is large order of French fries, and small box is 6 layered, 6-inch chocolate cake!

Gio: Aww, is this all for me?!

Frenchfry: (Nods) Yep! Now, you get going, cousin! See youga next summer!

Gio (pats his head): You got it! Just...don't try to cook anyone or I'll prosecute you!

Frenchfry: No dream of it, cousin, and cooking healthy food is making me happy.

Gio (laughs): Oh, I was just kidding. I know you've changed!

Frenchfry: Ih. Now, shoo, shoo. Bye, cousin!

Gio (Opens duffle bag): Well...(puts fries and cake inside) this is it...(zips bag shut) Goodbye, everyone! (Opens arms) Final ohana hug?!

Everyone: Yes! (All gather around, hugging Gio)

Gio (sniffs): Well...this is it...(stops hug and steps back) Goodbye, everyone! (grabs all luggage)

Everyone: (Waves) Bye, Gio!

(And with that, Gio waved to his ohana one final time, turned around, and proceeded to walk through the automatic-sliding doors of the "American Airlines Departures" terminal. The scene then cuts to show an exterior shot of a parked "American Airlines" airplane, all before cutting to the inside of the "Priority Class" cabin over on the left side, where Gio was seated in the window seat of Row 7, Seat 7C. This plane's first-class cabin had 10 rows of seats on both sides, with 2 seats per row on each side, while the main economy class cabin had 300 seats, with 150 seats on each side, and 3 seats per row. Gio had already put his duffle bag into the overhead compartment, while his laptop case was underneath the seat in front of him. As Gio buckled up and tightened his seatbelt, he opened the window shade cover and happily smiled as the sun was high over the horizon...Gio's final Hawaiian sun. As Gio looked out the window, a flight attendant approached his row of seats, pushing a cart of drinks in front of her...)

Flight Attendant: Hello, young sir. Care for a drink? I have lemonade, water, orange juice, and milk.

Gio (turns to face her): What type of milk?

Flight Attendant: (Smiles) White or Chocolate.

Gio: Chocolate, please. (gives a thumbs-up)

Flight Attendant: Good choice, young sir. (Grabs bottle of chocolate milk and hands it to Gio) Will there be anything else you need, young sir?

Gio (takes bottle): No thanks. (smiles and unscrews cap of bottle)

Flight Attendant: Of course, young sir. I'll leave you then. (Leaves Gio while pushing the cart onwards, aiming to check on the other passengers)

(The scene then cuts to a few minutes later, at 9:55am, as Gio drank only a quarter of the bottle of milk before resealing it. He then placed it into the pouch on the back of the seat in front of him, just as the captain began to speak over the intercom...)

Captain's voice: Attention, passengers, this is your captain, Trevor, speaking! Welcome aboard American Airlines Flight #0271 from Kauai, Hawaii to New York. Our flight time will be 9 hours and 10 minutes. As we begin to push back from the gate, please remain seated with your seatbelts securely fastened. And now, please direct your attention to your seatback TV screens, and enjoy our safety presentation.

(And with that being said, all of the seatback TV screens turned on, and as the plane was pushed back from the gate and began to taxi towards the runway, the safety video played as normal. As the view ended 4 minutes later, by 9:59am, the Captain Trevor's voice spoke over the intercom again...)

Captain Trevor's voice: Attention, passengers, thank you for paying attention to the safety presentation. We've been cleared for immediate takeoff, so please remain seated and keep your seatbelts fastened at all times until told otherwise by a crew member. Thank you for your attention and enjoy your flight!

(And then, the plane's engines began to roar very loudly, and the plane began to speed down the runway. As Gio happily looked out the window and smiled, the plane sped down the runway, going faster and faster by the second, and as the plane reached the very end of the runway, "WHOOSH!", the plane took off into the daytime sky at 10:00am...)

Gio (voiceover): And there I was, taking off on a plane from Kauai, Hawaii back to New York City. My past 92 days that summer were so much different than I ever expected, but in the end, it was what I needed. I needed to learn about the true meaning of ohana, and I needed to come to terms with my past, overcome my obstacles, and move on with my life. My mom and dad were going to be so happy when they saw me again, and as my plane took off that day, I planned to not only enjoy my lunch that my cousins made for me, but also take a look at the many gifts I got from them.

(The scene briefly cuts back to show the outskirts of open fields surrounding the runways of "Kauai International Airport", where the jeep was parked out on the edge near the chain-link fence, and the Pelakai family was looking up at Gio's plane as it took off into the sky...)

Lilo: Well, another summer gone, and 9 months to go until he comes back next summer.

Stitch: He be busy with school, but he won't forget us! Computer and special tablet help with that.

Jumba: 626's right. Bigger boy done well this summer. Who knows what be coming next summer with him back again?

Pleakley: Either way, he's family, and I can't wait to plan for that first summer feast next summer!

Nani: We'll see him, everyone, you can be sure of that. Now, let's head back for some lunch. (Smiles to herself) Thanks for everything, Gio.
