Hey, King Spike Rules here and her is the next chapter to Spike's Basketball. The shocking skills of Masher turns to tide of the game for the sharks with Sandbar working his hardest to keep the team alive.

Chapter 14: Going To Far.

The whole team was shocked at the shot and how bored Masher looked when he did it, moving towards the other side to defend, there was a clear change in the Sharks while they all had new energy about them.

"He shot, after i was blocking him." Soroan said out loud looking at the young man running back to the other side and he was just confused about how that could have happened.

"Focus." Spike yelled, pulling him from his stupor and having the ball in hand, charging on to the other side of the court, careful to keep his eyes out for any one to block him. Suddenly Masher was in view, seemingly out of nowhere and skipped the ball out of Spike's hand.

"To slow." Masher said next to Spike, who watched him take a shot over half court and sank it with what looked to be little effort. Making the score 40/35 with the Sharks cheering while they watched him making points and closing the gap. Masher moved to his side while Spike was left in a state of shock, he had the ball stolen from him and had a shot made only inches away from him.

"Oh, no." Twilight said looking at this and Luna turned to look at her, shocked at the worried expression on her face, "This could go bad soon."

"Why, it's not like they gained to much a points or a lead." Luna said looking back at the game, seeing their team continued to try yet the Sharks continued to keep them from getting the ball in the net and Masher's threes were allowing them to take the lead.

"Spike had just lost the ball and points with ease, meaning Masher is a cut above most players." Twilight said biting her thumb and watching as their lead not only vanished, but lost with in three minutes, it came to 40/47. She watched with Soroan and Spike seemingly not moving much while Mac was trying to get any hope in winning the game alive. 'I was a fool, thinking we were ready for even low level members of a kingdom, their break us.' Twilight thought and looked to Snails, "Go tell them for a time out." He gulped and nodded, heading to the ref with Luna watching.

"Snails, wait on that." Luna said stopping her teacher and Twilight looked at her shocked, "I don't think it's that hopeless." Twilight turned back to the game as Masher was getting ready for another three and shot it, only for a figure to jump and nearly block it.

"I just found this sport." Sandbar yelled looking at Masher and the Sharks, yet he wasn't really talking about them, "I'm not going down like this." The ball went through the net and gave the Sharks a ten point lead, as Macher stared at Sandbar.

"You should have just quit." he turned from him, starting to head on out to their side of the court, "It's hopeless to even try against me."

'Me?' Sandbar asked looking at him heading to play defense and wondered what he meant by that, but green eyes watched the whole things and he looked at Masher.

"Sandbar." Mac yelled tossing him the ball, "You play Point Guard." Mac then head on out while Sandbar move towards the other net, coming face to face with Masher.

"I see you don't really listen well." Masher said while slipping in close and reached for the ball, Sandbar flinched and a moment later, his hand was turned slightly and Masher smacked his hand.

"Fowl, two free throws." The ref blew his whistle and everyone was shocked while Masher looked at Sandbar, his eyes burning with anger while Sandbar got the ball.

"Huh, pathetic." the guy in glasses continue to watch and fixed his glasses, "He can't even dribble right, and now he has the ire of Masher."

"I don't think so, he has gotten better." Gallus said noticing Sandbar two free throws, missing the first one and sweat running down his face while he did a second try, and it bounced off the rim. Mac reached for it, but the other center caught it.

"Come on." the center yelled throwing the ball towards Masher, only for Spike to pop in between them much to everyones shock.

"How can I be the ace." Spike said moving around them and then doing a lay-up, gaining their first points in the second half, "If i can't help my team." The Sharks didn't seem to fazed by his points as they moved on to get more with Masher moving ahead with two keeping Spike at bay to block as Sandbar was ready for it.

"You think your funny, making me fowl myself." Masher asked while Sandbar confused, but then masher bounced the ball at Sandbar's feet. This made him step back as the ball bounced back into his hands and then he swiftly shot another three. As the head back, Masher looked at the others, "I have that guy, no one else will cover him" They all nodded and Sandbar moved forward only to have Masher in his way, his brown eyes burning with a strong fire and Sandbar gulped, trying to think of something to do when the ball was out of his hands again thanks to Masher. Spike and Soroan tried only for him to make the shot anyway and got the points. Spike glared at Masher, but he noticed Masher was looking at Sandbar.

"Well, he seems to have found a target." the guy with glasses said looking at the whole thing and grinned.

"Wait, what do you mean?" Gallus asked looking at him while he doesn't even take his eyes off the game.

"Just watch, Masher is going to break that guy by running him through the ground." he said smirking while Gallus just turned back to the game.

Masher continued to force Sandbar into stand offs and Sandbar stood his grounds, trying his hardest while trying to get any move around Masher while Twilight was getting more worried.

"Snails, call for a time out NOW!" Twilight yelled out and he jumped, moving to the ref and got his attention while Masher had the ball, he stared down Sandbar, who's face was covered in sweat and tried to stop Masher from moving only to take a step and his vision went blurry, and then blank. The ref's whistle blows loud to stop the game with everyone stopping in their tracks. Sandbar fell in a loud thud and the ref went to him, looking to see if he was hurt while Twilight and Luna ran over to him.

"Give him space." Luna said as they checked on him and found he was just way past his limit, sweat covering his face and gasping for air while the others just watch Snips and Snails help him to the bench with Masher looking at him wiht a glare.

"Serves him right for fowling me." He said in earshot of Spike, who turned to look at him in shock, "What?" Masher asked not caring if he is heard and he headed back to his own team bench with only one minute left on the third quarter and the score being 46/60 with the Sharks owning a massive lead heading into the fourth.

"Well, that was fun." the guy with glasses said heading on from the railing, "Even if Masher is benched, they can't come back with out have five players. It's honestly sad."

"What is?" Gallus asked watching the final few minutes with Spike Soroan, and Mac trying to keep the score from getting to high.

"That he had to play against such weak players." he said fixing his glasses once more, "I mean, you can try all you want but failure is failure.' Gallus remained still from hearing him say that, he didn't see them try hard and practice while also just threw away their effort, and then his eyes fell on Sandbar laying on the floor with a rage on his head. "Oh, I didn't get your name." he said turning to Gallus.

"Gallus, remember it." he said looking at him and he smiled.

"Sunburst." he finished heading down the stairs as Gallus began to walk down the other flight.

The ref blew his whistle and the teams headed back to their benches with the final score heading into the final quarter being 48/66, leading a nearly twenty points lead, the Sharks were excited as they sat on their bench.

"Good job you guys." The coach said looking at them and then looked at Masher, who had returned to his game with the head coach rule of him playing in only one quarter still clear, "Just wait out the clock." Twilight looked at her team with Sandbar out and Snips breathing heavily as Soroan was still having trouble getting his head back in the game after getting totally shut out.

'Damn it.' Twilight thought biting her thumb, four of them were okay to play and yet Snips couldn't go another minute without a long rest little alone ten. What are they going to do, she didn't have much time and she looked at them. "Sorry guys." she finally spoke to get them to look at her, "I really shouldn't have set this up, you won't ready for even first strings of a Kingdom."

"Twilight, don't blame yourself." Luna said patting her back and looking at her students, "You all did great, don't put yourselves down."

"Yeah, I better head to the ref." Twilight said turning to the ref and walked over only for the doors to burst open. Every one turned to see Gallus standing there, a piece of paper in hand and a smile as he walked over to twilight, "Yes?"

"Sorry I'm late." Gallus said handing her a club member form, "My transfer only finish today and i finally finished the paper." Twilight was shocked as she took the form and looked it over as the other coach walked over.

"So, is he a new player?" he asked looking at the young man closely and Gallus looked back at him smiling.

"It seems, but the rules say he can't play since he wasn't on the roster." Twilight said looking at Gallus and then the other coach, who gave her a smile.

"It's a practice match, I'm sure we can bend the rules here." he said, waving off her arguments and turned to leave, "These kids fought hard and ending it like that wouldn't be right."

"Well, what do you say coach?" Gallus asked as Twilight was shocked and just looked at him, seeing him smiling at her and she felt hope.

"Well, he did give us the okay." she said thinking it over, "what do you play anyway."

"Point Guard." Gallus said looking at her and she smiled, leading him over tot he other team as they looked at him confused.

"Everyone, this is Gallus and he'll be joining our team as a point guard." Twilight said as the others looked at him and Gallus looked back at them, feeling their distrust which he really couldn't blame them for.

"I know that you guys don't trust me yet, and I get it." he said looking at Sandbar and then back to Spike, "But i want to play with the same team as Sandbar and I won't let you guys down." There was silence before Spike stood up, looking at him closely.

"What can you do as Point Guard." Spike asked and Gallus smiled as they all began to talk it over with such a strong lead ahead of them, the planned their next attack.
