"I'll be honest, Mr. Moran, when you said we were getting a boat tour, I thought the boat would be, like, a yacht or a ferry or something." Troy admitted to Mr. Moran, as the group boarded the Clearwater Marine Aquarium tour boat. "This looks like they took it from Disneyland."
"Jungle Cruise ride?" Mr. Moran chuckled. "I said the same thing. But, you know what they say; a boat is a boat." Troy smiled.
"So long as it floats, I guess." Troy chuckled along with Mr. Moran. The group took their seats at the back of the boat, and after a few minutes, they were off. The group had no idea what to expect on the boat tour, so they all kept open minds. On the way out of the harbor, Gia sighed and leaned into Jake. Jake could feel her shaky breathing, and knew something was up.
"Everything alright?" he asked. Gia sighed again, and mentally scolded herself. She wanted to keep her nightmare to herself, as to not ruin the vacation for her friends, so she decided to just play it off.
"Yeah, I'm just a bit bored." she fibbed. She hated being dishonest with Jake, and was mentally beating herself up for doing so, but even if she did decided to tell him about the ranger dream, it was neither the time nor place to do so.
"Bored?" Jake asked, cocking his head. "We haven't even started the tour."
"I know, I know." Gia chuckled. "I just want it to start already, that's all." Gia smiled up at Jake and planted a kiss on his cheek. "I'm okay, I promise."
"I know your are." Jake smiled. A few minutes later, Gia got her fibbed wish, as the tour guide spoke to the tour group as they entered the Gulf of Mexico. For the most part, Gia had him droned out, as her nightmare kept coming back to her. Who was that monster? Do we really have yet another enemy we need to pulverize? A splash of water drew her back to reality as she saw most of the group was on her side of the boat.
"What's going on? And who splashed me?" she asked Jake as she peered over the side of the boat.
"Dolphins" was all Jake responded with. Gia was confused, until she saw the majestic creatures breach the surface of the water. Their long, slender bodies propelling them forward and upwards, resulting in stunning acrobatics. Gia's breath was officially taken.
"Woah" she breathed. The animals showed no signs of stopping their little show, and Gia didn't want them to. She, along with her friends and parents, were enjoying it all too much. She even didn't mind being splashed with seawater. She was just glad for the dolphins' presence to help ease her mind from the nightmare. She even didn't seem to care when a dolphin splashed back into the water on it's side, sending a wave of water onto the boat, soaking Gia in the process. She shared a laugh with Jake and Troy, who also got soaked. Her parents, Noah and Emma were spared, but in her mind, they missed out. Huge smile in her face, Gia sat back down in her seat, only to find Jake staring at her. "Babe. You're staring" she stated in a firm tone.
"Hey, this time, you can't blame me." Jake responded, raising his hands above his head. "I think those dolphins also knew how hot you were." he smirked. Gia cocked her head at her boyfriend.
"What are you talking about?" She asked. Jake nodded to her chest, and, the moment she looked down, her eyes went wide and her jaw hit the floor. Resulting from the dolphin's giant splash, her t-shirt was soaked. It didn't help that she was wearing a white t-shirt, and nothing but her bright yellow bikini top underneath. Her face went instantly red as she looked over to Jake. "I don't have anything else to put on!" she told him, under her breath so no one else would hear her.
"We're heading to the beach after this anyway." Jake stated. "Plus, with this kind of heat, you'll be dry in no time." Gia smirked.
"Yeah, but I'll still be pretty revealing." she stated, nervously looking around the boat. Jake draped his arm across her shoulders, pulling Gia into him.
"Just relax. Anyone tries to make a move on you, they'll leave with a rearranged face." Jake promised, and Gia smiled, falling asleep on him in a matter of minutes.
