"Wow" was all Jake could say as Gia stripped down to her bikini. She smiled, and turned around to confront him.
"No staring" she ordered, and Jake nodded, averting his eyes from his goddess of a girlfriend. "Just enjoy the beach."
"Will do" Jake stated, ripping off his shirt before charging into the water with Troy and Noah. Smiling, Gia made her way over to where Emma was sitting on her chosen beach chair. Gia took a seat on the vacant chair next to Emma's, and laid back.
"Am I the only one that thinks it's odd that you and I haven't talked much to each other on this trip at all?" Emma asked, looking over to Gia, who had just lowered her sunglasses over her eyes and folded her arms behind her head.
"No you're not" Gia replied, tilting her head to look at her best friend, a smile forcing its way onto the corner of her mouth. "Troy and Jake have sorta been our primary focuses." Emma laughed.
"Yeah, no argument there." she stated, looking out to the water, where Jake, Troy and Noah have joined a group of college students in a game of tackle football in the water. She watched as Troy pulled a perfect Odell, plucking the ball out of the air with one hand, extended high above his head.
"I have to admit" Gia started. Emma looked at her.
"Admit what?" she asked. Gia smiled.
"When I first found out you and Troy became a thing, I wasn't sure I approved." Emma's jaw dropped in mock offense. "But, after seeing you two last night out on the peer, and I told Jake this as well, you two are meant to be together." Emma smiled at her best friend's comment.
"Funny. I thought the same about you and Jake." Emma smirked as Gia sat up. "What?" she asked, noticing Gia staring at her.
"Jake's perfect, Emma. He has no intent of hurting or humiliating me. I trust him." Gia stated, getting up from her chair.
"I know you do, Gia, I'm just saying that, like you were for me and Troy, I was skeptical of you and Jake." Emma smiled, and the smile was returned by Gia.
"I'm heading to the snack bar. Want anything?" Gia asked as Emma shook her head.
"I'm fine for now." she said.
"Suit yourself" Gia responded, walking off to the snack bar. Emma smiled and laid back. She hoped she wouldn't have to monitor Gia's eating habits over the trip. As much as she liked Gia being with Jake, they were both seriously addicted to sugar. She could almost see Gia getting an ice cream or a candy bar from the snack shack, and not just one.
Her train of thought was interrupted by someone clearing their throat. She sat up, and saw a redhead girl in a green bikini and a towel, and a blonde girl next to her, which she assumed was her friend.
"You're in our spot." the redhead girl snapped.
"Um, it was open when I got here." Emma said, taken back by the girl's aggression.
"Yes but these are the chairs we sit in every day at the beach." the redhead snapped.
"So beat it" her blonde friend quipped.
"If you two weren't such asshats, maybe I would." Emma retorted, laying back on the chair.
"Says the flat-ass who will never get laid." the redhead said, snickering. Emma grew furious, and stood right in her face.
"I have a boyfriend, mind you!" Emma said. "And yes, that happened, and, unlike you, I managed to keep my boyfriend!" At this, the redhead threw her towel at Emma, catching her off balance and knocking her over. When she removed the towel, she saw the redhead looming over her.
"No one disrespects me and gets away with it" she hissed.
"How can anyone respect you?" Emma quipped. The redhead growled and wound up a punch. Emma closed her eyes and blocked her face, but the punch never came. Opening her eyes again, she saw that Gia, with an opened Snickers bar hanging out of her mouth, had the girl's fist in her hand and, by the facial expression of the redhead, Gia wasn't holding loosely. With her free hand, Gia took the Snickers bar out of her mouth, and tossed it onto her chosen beach chair.
"How old are you, five!?" Gia yelled at the girl, trowing her into the sand. The girl's friend quickly picked her up, and the girl got face-to-face with Gia.
"That was a mistake" she growled. Gia smiled.
"Was it now?" she smirked. "You must be the rude-ass beach slut. How dumb can you possibly be?" Gia quipped. Right then, the redhead threw a punch at Gia's face. However, Gia was a Power Ranger, and thanks to many battles, she easily dodged the punch. The redhead threw another punch which, again, Gia simply dodged. The redhead seemed confused as to why she couldn't land a punch, which gave Gia the perfect opportunity to strike. She did so with a hard backhand slap across the girl's face. Emma even winced, and felt bad for the girl. The redhead held her face and glared at Gia.
"Did you just slap me?" the redhead asked.
"I did!" Gia laughed. "Weird right?" She got right up to the girl's face, and gave her a death glare. "Now, my friends and I are gonna be here for the next month." Gia pointed out to the water, pointing out Jake, Troy, and Noah with the college kids, which really seemed to spook the girl. "Here's the sitch: Don't go anywhere near me, or her" Gia nodded to Emma, "or any of my friends, and we'll be alright". The second Gia's threat was out, the redhead and her friend bolted from them down the beach, probably to find a new spot. Gia helped Emma up from the ground.
"Thanks for that. I guess I owe you one." Emma said, sitting back down on the chair.
"Nah it' cool. I hate people like that, and you don't owe me anything." Gia said, taking a bite from her Snickers bar, and tossing a second one to Emma.
"I said I was fine." Emma laughed. Gia smiled.
"It was for me, but after that, you can have it." Gia said. Emma smiled, opened the bar, and laid back to, hopefully, enjoy the beach.
@RYJAN, I hope you enjoyed the chapter! Note that your suggestion is becoming a cliche in the story so more of Gia and Emma vs beach goers will be coming! Anyone else have suggestions feel free to put them in the comments!
