Responding to @RYJAN's comment:
Personally, I based Anneka around the actress Anjelica Bette Fellini, who plays Blair in the Netflix series Teenage Bounty Hunters.
As for her discovering the Rangers' identities...well that's not a bad idea. I might just have to incorporate that in.
It wasn't because he just got a tattoo that made Jake feel numb. Nor was it that he did it without consent. His parents had agreed that as long as it was just the one, not too large, and in a mostly hidden spot, he could get it. Jake felt numb knowing that Noah wanted to know when they would get them, so he can act as sort of a father figure in the shop. While it was a nice date with Gia, he still felt bad about going behind his friend's back.
"Well?" Gia asked him, rolling up her shirt and facing away from him, revealing her tiger and snake tattoo on her shoulder. They had gotten matching tattoos, in the same location, however, the animals of the respective rangers were highlighted in their respective colors. Yellow tiger for Gia, and green snake for Jake.
"That looks dope" Jake nodded, rolling up his own shirt and showing Gia his tattoo. Gia smiled.
"Nice" she smirked. Rolling his shirt down, Jake sighed. "What is it?" Gia asked him.
"Noah's gonna kill me." he muttered. Gia smirked.
"You're worried about Noah's reaction?" She asked. Jake gave her a lopsided grin.
"He told me to make sure neither of us got tattoos before talking to him and our parents." Jake told her.
"We talked to our parents, and that alone should be enough"
"Yeah, but you know Noah"
"Yep. Overprotective as ever" Gia smirked, sliding her hand into Jake's. "Ice Cream?"
"Always" Jake responded, as the two made their way over to an ice cream shop. Compared to the large, name-brand ice cream shops, this one was small. It had a perfect corner location, and was just across the street from the beach. It reminded Jake of the Brainfreeze, which was why he was content on going to that particular one. Opening the door for Gia, Jake offered to pay for the treat. He was willing to completely spoil Gia for the day, seeing how she was the one who paid for the tattoos, much to Jake's inner dismay. "What are you gonna get?" Jake asked, looking over at Gia, who eyed the available flavors with much thought.
"Just chocolate…" Gia started.
"Just chocolate?" Jake asked. Gia smirked.
"Yes, just chocolate." Gia told the worker. "Large. On a chocolate-dipped waffle cone. With hot fudge. And whipped cream. And rainbow jimmies. And a cherry. Please" Gia finished her order as the worker put it together with flying colors. Jake meanwhile, looked at his girlfriend with a raised eyebrow. "What? You said you were paying." Gia said with a shrug of her shoulders. Jake couldn't help but smile.
"Fair enough" he gave in. The worker handed Gia her treat, and took Jake's order, which consisted of a lot of peanut butter and chocolate. With the ice creams in hand and payed off, the two sat just outside the shop on the provided bench, looking out into the water. After a few minutes, Gia couldn't take the pressure, and looked over at Jake.
"I wansn't completely honest back there" she admitted. Jake looked over to her, wide-eyed.
"You didn't get concent for the tattoo!?" he asked shocked.
"No! No, not that" Gia confirmed.
"Good."
"Well, that too."
"WHAT!?" Jake stared at his girlfriend in complete shock. "You know these are permanent, right?" he asked.
"Yes, yes I know, and I promise we'll talk about this later, but right now, I'm concerned about this so-called 'Hell Water'". Jake's expression softened, as he questioned her comment.
"You said it was nothing to worry about" Jake said, taking a lick from his ice cream. Gia looked down at her boat shoes and sighed.
"I didn't want everyone to worry or go into panic. We're supposed to be on vacation, and if we start worrying about something that we shouldn't be worrying about, it'll just ruin the fun." Gia stated.
"But, as you said, it's probably for the next team. We're in the clear now"
"I know, I know, but like I told you and Noah yesterday, I have this nagging feeling. Like something's gonna happen"
"I really hope you're wrong on that, because if you're right…" Jake trailed off, but they both knew what the end of his sentence looked like.
"Yeah" Gia sighed. Jake threw his arm around her, and pulled her into him. As soon as Gia got comfortable, the two heard screaming coming from a few blocks down. Both teens were up in an instant as they recognised the screaming. It wasn't screams of joy and happiness. They were screams of fear and terror. Sharing a look of distern and fear, Jake and Gia took off towards the screams.
